Breaas clean and quietkfast was fresh and tasty with a big variety. Hours were good also.

Highly recommend and great value for the price.

This lodge had the best breakfast ever! It is also within walking distance of the university, as well as downtown amenities which is a huge plus. Staff members were friendly and helpful. We had a great stay!

Best western was an excellent stay. Center to uc davis...no need o hassle with parking. Left the car at the hotel and walked to have dinner and to the campus. A big plus is that it is small only 2 floors. The front desk were superb. They were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the city and university

The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean the breakfast had many options My room door wasn't secure. I closed the door to Room 113, but I could push it open without my key card. I had to slam the door to make sure it stayed shut. I did not mention this to the staff because I only stayed one night.

I have stayed at the Best Western in downtown Davis before. But the conditions seem bit dated.

Complimentary breakfast is perfect to start the day with a large variety of edibles for most. Rooms rates are reasonable and the free parking tops the deal!

The staff was helpful and very friendly. The bacon at breakfast was excellent, but the eggs were so so because it’s hard to keep scrambled eggs good over a warmer. We did find a couple of hairs in the bathtub. Adjusting the shower valve was difficult (room #119). Bed was comfortable.

Check in was great! It was Picnic day at uc davis and I appreciate the staff enforcing one parking pass per room, as I was first unable to find parking. My check-in was smooth and I was provided with one parking pass and two key cards. The gentleman at check in was professional, efficient, and polite. The room was on the smaller side, but comfortable for 4 people visiting just one day and the location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the campus. We would stay here again.

The shower faucet wasn’t working—I wasn’t able to take a shower. The water was scalding hot—no way to adjust it. Looked like it had been not working well before.

The bed is crispy clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent They do not provide toothpaste and toothbrush in the room. It is funny cuz they have almost everything else like shampoo, conditioner and face soap

It was right next to a dinner and downtown. Front desk is great! Can hear the room next door opening and closing door. A lot of noise by surrounding. Breakfast was a bit later than what I’m used to.

Super great location, easy to walk everywhere, reasonable last-minute hotel rate Very thin walls, quite noisy. I think there was a full-time person living straight above us and was up playing music and walking around and talking until 2:30 in the morning. Did not fall asleep until she did. That was the only real bummer about this hotel.

This property is similar to the Vine Inn a few blocks away but offered a lower price for a room. The location is ideal, an easy walk along Second Street from the Amtrak station and an easy walk to the UC Davis Memorial Union along Second or Third Street. The Memorial Union is a transit hub, so you can take a bus anywhere in Davis, to Woodland or Sacramento, and to the Sacramento Airport. Staff are friendly and helpful and will keep luggage so you can do what you need to do in Davis, then return for your luggage on the way to Amtrak or the airport. The room, bed, and bathroom were comfortable and the room was quiet. There are no elevators, so request a room on the first floor if climbing stairs is a problem for you. Staff will assist with suitcases if you ask.

First, there wasn't enough shampoo and conditioner. Secondly the bath tub was clogged so I asked them to fix it. When we came back to the room, it was still clogged and cleaning wasn't done. We had to move the room. Lastly, the coffee maker in our room didn't work so I went to the front desk and told the staff. He was extremely rude and I felt so uncomfortable. He said to me, "go around " and showed me the breakfast area. It was still 6 o'clock am but he said he had to start cooking for breakfast.

Room was very large, location was perfect when visiting my son at UC Davis and we were walking distance to everything in Downtown Davis. Nothing fancy but ideal for weekend visits! Very happy and will definitely stay again. Has plenty of parking too.

The room was ok, the staff was very helpful, however, there were very loud parties two nights in a row (Halloween weekend) right outside our room. I would recommend picking the room carefully. Otherwise the accommodations were fine. Location was great.

We stayed here with our dog. We parked our car in front of the room, so it was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included. It was very nice, and we enjoyed it.

The location was convenient, close to the university, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful. However, it would have been preferable to be proactively asked about daily room service rather than having to request it. Additionally, a few gnats were noticed in the room.

The property in downtown Davis was great for access to community and walking in Arboretum. The mattress was too soft for my liking and the fan on AC was loud and I didn’t sleep well without earplugs. The last night there was no parking and I had to park down the street

I liked the flowers and the care that went into the landscaping. It's a typical motel but the flowers really brought it to life. The bed was comfortable, the room was small but very nice. The breakfast offered lots of options.

I asked my 8 year old to get one of her crocs from under the bed and she pulled out a ViBRATOR… I told the cleaning lady and showed the pic to the front desk. I advised them to talk to their staff about inspecting the entire room. It was so gross. I am upset and disgusted.

I will not stay in this motel again. I stayed there 3 nights good location in downtown Davis. Plus good breakfast. However they accept homelexs residents every morning i would see 5 hxmeless with their individual shopping carts leaving their rooms. When i asked the hotel clerk whether they accepted hxmeless residents, he said they are not homeless if they are booked at the hotel. I also asked how come i dont see them at breakfast. Then i noticed the hotel clerk preparing breakfast plates and then delivering them to individual rooms. Then this sales clerk what i had against the unhoused. I said i had nothing against them but i dont feel secure living with them. Then i asked how they paid for their rooms ? He said they paid with cards like me. Then i asked credit cards or housing vouchers for the unhoused since i cannot call them homeless. I will not stay here again because i dont feel secure staying with a lot of residents that are unhoused.

It was perfect for a couple nights stay for a business trip. Walking distance to UC Davis. More cost effective than the Hyatt. Next to a lot of food/drinks. Might be a little loud for some people, but I am used to living in downtown Minneapolis, so it was quiet for me.

Bed was terrible, sloping off to the side and lumpy. Very old. Also no weatherstripping on the door so the cold air from outside came into room all night. Too bad because the service was good, the location was great and it was clean. But cannot stay there again.

Love the location. The room was clean for the most part bathroom needed a little bit more attention in corners. The breakfast was a disappointment for best western. They ran out of waffle mix at 9:15 in the morning and attendant said they ran out and won’t re-fill. Eggs, sausage and bacon were out by 9:40 AM. The milk we use was spoiled even with the date. The attendant did not even care and just threw it away and said sorry for the most part we love western, but the breakfast at that time was a disappointing. However we had friendly welcoming customer service from the front staff person.

I was in town for a 2 day-1night stay. The hotel was just fine, I was hardly in the room. My husband and I have stayed here many times over the last twenty years.

Great location for downtown Davis and campus. Room is small and cramped with a lot of large furniture. We had a bad location, in a breezeway next to the housekeeping space so had to keep our curtains closed.

Overall, my stay was satisfactory; however, I was disappointed by the response I received when I requested additional linens from the front desk. The staff member informed me that he would check for availability and follow up with me, but unfortunately, I did not receive any further communication. I found this lack of follow-up to be unprofessional.

Well cared for with exterior plantings, tidy inside and staff were friendly and helpful.

When we arrived, housekeeping had left behind a vacuum in the middle of the walkway in front of our room. Once it had been moved and we were allowed into our room, the staff had to quickly pick up some trash that had been left on the carpet. The room wasn't particularly large, but that was fine on account of there was only two of us staying in it. The plush chair in the corner of the room was covered in stains and there were a few stains on some of the pillows that were on the bed. The air conditioning unit and the fan in the bathroom both sounded like a jet engine every time they were used. The best things about this hotel are the free breakfast, kind staff, and the convenient location. Aside from that, you get what you pay for with the Best Western University Lodge.

The front desk clerk was awaiting our arrival and promptly checked us in. The bed was comfortable. The included breakfast had a nice selection and the coffee was excellent. The property was very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The rate was very competitive and included free parking.

We had a conference in a nearby town. The room worked out great, the complimentary breakfast was quite extensive and the staff were responsive to any specific scheduling needs we had due to the conference. Great location too-walking distance to stores and restaurants. We will plan to stay there next time.

We visited UC Davis and stayed at Best Western. Staff were welcoming. The property is nicely kept and the rooms are maintained. They serve breakfast and it has a variety of hot and cold foods; they cater to everyone. We were very pleased with our hotel choice and will surely stay there again.

I don't like the beds, it is too small for Queen size and the mattress is very bad for the price.
