Bathroom was in need of repairs

All staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are nice and clean, their towels are a little larger than most you find in budget hotels, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was good. We were a bit disappointed in the Comfort Inn in Darien, GA. It wasn't as nice as the many other Comfort Inns we've stayed at. There was no microwave in the room and the internet was horrible.

No cold water in the bathroom faucet so I reached underneath and open the anglestop. Entry tile floor was dirty when we walked in. Furniture was nice.

The Breakfast was wonderful, the hostes was was extremely helpful to my needs.

Nothing This place needs a deep clean. Place is filthy Security, side doors were left unlocked at nite Staff giving me a room that didn’t match what we paid for, until we continued to question and show booking.

The location of the property was absolutely perfect for our trip. We were in town for a wedding and also planned to spend time on St. Simons Island, so having such a convenient and accessible location made everything so much easier for us. It allowed us to get where we needed to go without any hassle, which really added to the overall experience. The property itself was very მშვიდ and relaxing, which we truly appreciated, especially after busy days of traveling and attending events. It was a great place to unwind. The breakfast staff stood out as being especially kind and welcoming each morning, which made starting our day even better. My kids really loved the breakfast options, particularly the chance to make their own waffles, which was a fun little highlight for them. In addition to that, there were also eggs and sausages available, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. Lastly, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay, which was important for staying connected and keeping the kids entertained when we were back in the room. Overall, it was a very pleasant and convenient stay. The only issues I experienced during my stay were related to the room conditions. When I first checked in, the room I was assigned had not been cleaned, which was definitely disappointing after a long day of traveling. However, I will say that the staff responded quickly and were very accommodating in switching me to another room without much hassle, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the second room had its own issue with the air conditioning not working properly. Because of that, the temperature in the room was pretty uncomfortable at times, especially when trying to relax or sleep. While the overall stay had many positives, these inconveniences did take away a bit from the experience.

The room was comfortable and sufficient. The guy at late night check in was polite and efficient. Breakfast and the breakfast manager were the real disappointment. My family and I ate between 7:45-8:15 and we came into the dining room to hear a customer and the breakfast manager in a heated discussion with the customer asking for a manager to be called. We tried to walk on by and pretend not to notice or be bothered by the obvious and loud interaction. The customer left and nothing was done on the part of the staff. Breakfast itself was sparse. When we asked about fruit we were told they are out but expect more later today. There was no milk, only a pitcher labeled “Half and Half” that the lady insisted was milk, but it was obviously half and half. She made no apologies for the lack of food (also out of yogurt, oats, all fruit), just said she had been off three days and sort of complained that no one reorders food except her. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we were ok, but we avoided complaining just to hurry out of there.

Breakfast was great!

Breakfast bar need some more variety of choices. Juice and coffee tasted watery. Waffles were good. Building need new carpet and television in our room didn't work someone brought a smaller one in just before we checked in and we had to call front desk to get it to work. Breakfast bar was very disappointing. Carpet stained. Tub needs a good cleaning windows need to be washed. Check in was easy. No surprises with the price. No issues checking out. Location is great.

Breakfast menu was fresh. Waffles, eggs, sausages, toast, cereal, yoghurt, coffee . Parking was well lit and safe. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms need updating.

Unclean, poorly maintained- really dirty like they didn’t even clean the toilet and the walls had mystery splatters.

The hotel was ok. The breakfast area is small and not appetizing. The fresh coffee was good. There were less expensive hotel options at the same exit and their breakfast and rooms had more to offer.

Tub looked dirty. Looked like our room wasn’t vacuumed and someone pubes were in the towels. Had to get replacement towels and the worker seems to not care when I mentioned it

Beds were comfy. Waffle batter was really sour, coffee machine was broken, staff double charged my card.

Room was clean, staff was polite and welcoming. Breakfast was good and fresh.

At a late night check in, I was sent to an already occupied room. Scary and unsettling. The ac dripped. The sink dripped. The tub was stained. The floor stained my socks. The saggy bed did not have a top sheet. Breakfast was not well stocked. Horrid.

Location Our room was called 4 separate times this morning between 5:30am and 6:45am from the front desk. We did not request a wake-up call. We had not planed to wake until after 7. I called the front desk and couldn’t be told why it happened. I called Booking.com to complain because I had already been charged for the room and was assured they would do something for our inconvenience. I got a $10 credit which isn’t worth the time I spent making two phone calls and writing this review.

Okay place for the price

Mold & Mildew along grouting. Smelled. No Water pressure in shower or sink. Carpet in hallways was tattered.

Check in was easy..Everything was clean, the TV in our room could not connect to service but we were quickly moved to another room.

From my experience Comfort Inn are hit or miss, and I'm always apprehensive about booking one. Some are very nice and some are pretty awesome. Thankfully this one was very nice. Pretty much everything has been remodeled, so ever is new and modern.

This was a former Hampton Inn. The properly looks newly remodeled with an 80s beach type theme. Room was clean, smelled nice, good size with modern furnishings. WiFi was slow (3down/2up). I did not use the TV. The bed/pillows were great. Mini fridge with SMALL freezer. Bathroom was OK. The shower/tub looked a bit worn for a remodeled room. Shower had good pressure but the water never got very hot (warm-ish). I did not have the breakfast. The front desk is not staffed all the time. Plenty of parking. No noise issues.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but this is the only positive unfortunately. The room we had was in very poor condition, especially for the price we paid. The heat did not work, the TV said “no signal,” the door handle to the bathroom was barely hanging on, the smoke detector was missing, the vent in the bathroom was filthy, and the carpet was severely stained and dirty. If we weren’t so tired after driving all day, we would have left for another hotel. Breakfast was basic, but did have hot eggs and sausage. There was cereal, but no milk and the muffins were hard and dry. With some TLC and attention, this hotel would have potential.

Chech-in staff was really friendly and efficient. As an older hotel, the building was in pretty good conditionsshape.

Clean room

The location was good, not too far from where I wanted to be. The carpet was dirty and stained and bathroom had paint stains all over the floor. the breakfast was lame. The muffins were stale and the coffee was burnt. The front desk staff was very nice but they could have dressed in something nicer than a hoodie and sweatpants.

Nothing! Our stay was perfect!!

The hotel worked for a quick stop and breakfast had decent variety. Appreciate the kind staff. The room could have been a little more cleaned up (hair in shower) but it wasn’t awful.

We had two rooms because we had 6 people. One of the rooms was just fine. However the other room was disgusting. One of the beds wasn’t even made and there was a dirty bandaid stuck inside the sheets. There were stains of something I’m not sure it was washed. It grossed me out and I couldn’t sleep because of it.

The A/C was totally quiet! The bed was comfortable and there was no noise in the hallway.

The room had no ice bucket and the microwave couldn’t be opened or powered on and appeared to have slices of bologna still inside. Rail in the shower was loose as well. Beds really nice and comfortable.

When we arrived the lobby did not have AC, only rooms. Construction fans all around, and not a good smell. When we arrived in the bedroom the bed had stains and hair on the sheets. We requested a transfer to another bedroom and they did. That one was a bit cleaner but the bathroom was also dirty. We almost left right there but stayed and left without having breakfast because we couldn’t stand the place anymore.

Breakfast was terrible. The hotel had stinky water was not clean fans running everywhere to like dry something up would not stay there again.

The good list is short but worth mentioning. We were in the pool area after closing. We were quiet and not hassled. That was nice. The sweet lady that organized the breakfast area was extremely nice and accommodating, but breakfast was not edible. I’ll close by saying that this is the first bad review and bad experience that I have had on this site in the 10+ years that I have been using it. Avoid this place.

It was clearn

Entry smelled musty. Front desk staff was very nice. Room looked worn, windows were filthy. Bed linens were clean.

Smelly rooms

First room seemed clean and a/c worked but bathroom smelled like a sewer. Moved to a new room and it was damp and smelled moldy. Bathroom was very old and smelly. Left after 4 hours and just decided to keep driving. Do not go here it’s old and smelly.

Good staff and nice bedding!

Nasty place, bathroom was not cleaned, pool had mold in it, the place smelled like urine, the breakfast was not good. Plus the door handle to my room fell off.

Every…single…day…breakfast was eggs and link sausage. The enamel was coming off of the tub.

Needs a total renovation

One of the best Comfort Inns that I have stayed in. Very well kept and the breakfast was nice and hot. Had to check in late, and wished we could have stayed longer. Will be your guest again when in the area.

The hotel was clean and the woman at the front desk was great.

First off when I came in to check in the guy made it seem like I was only checking in 2 people which was not what I booked under. Then I wanted to take my girls into the pool and there were only say 1/2 towels for 4 people so when I asked him for 4 towels so we could go to the pool and then I could give my girls a shower, he was so serious and said no only two towels, I said can I have 2 more he said again seriously NO! That’s is freaking ridiculous. Then you put my family I guess on the pet floor since we have a small dog and the whole floor smelt so disgusting, as we came out the elevator you can see dog piss all over, by the trash can there was a lot, then the room smelt so bad of dirt dog and piss. The bathroom sink was getting stuck, the pool bottom was so torn up that my husband had bad scratches all under his feet. Next door was a kfc/Taco Bell with some rude worker who sat and talked to their friends for 10 minutes while people waited to order their food. I wish I could get my money back for this horrible experience but I now know ALL comfort inns are the same!

Driving from Massachusetts to Florida and just needed a place to sleep. Quiet and clean.

Just a quick stopover

Property was overall nice. Room was good. Some improvements made, bathroom still needed touch ups. But the facility was worth the money. Day cook/staff sweet lady. Decent food.

Initial impression..the front desk clerk (I don’t remember his name) was very nice but I was not thrilled with the property or area. The side door claimed to have been secured but it wasn’t..it didn’t actually latch so anyone could enter. The bed and pillows were comfortable but the bathroom needed work. The faucet fixtures were falling apart and the bathroom door didn’t want to shut. Bathroom also was not clean. It was wiped down but it needed actually cleaned. I appreciate the pet friendly hotel but I did not feel safe walking my dog nearby as the lot was not well lit and there wasn’t a clean area to do so. The positives were the front desk clerk and the comfortable beds. Everything else was just meh. A little pricey for the value.

My family and I really enjoyed our time there.

This motel needs upgrade the shower, need new faucet in tub, can see hair on wall of shower, dirty which not good vacuum also hair on molding on corner bathroom. That’s disgusted. We won’t go back to this motel unless renovation.

The pool has mold growing in it. The bath towels provided had holes in them and the staff was not very accommodating at all. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Property needs some TLC but the beds were clean and comfortable! Great pillows! Quiet! Friendly and inviting staff! This was our second stay here and will stay again!

It is convenient as it is right off I-95. Beds are comfortable. The major downside is the bathroom - door lock is broken, bath tub is extremely dirty with mold all over the place. Bathtub curtain has yellow stains. We eventually had to skip the shower.

Great stay, great location

This hotel was good for the price. Its clean and right off 95 so convenient for an over night stay while traveling. We stayed for the weekend for a funeral. The breakfast is free and what they had was good but limited not a lot of choices. The beds were comfortable and the staff nice. I would stay again.

We really like Comfort Inn hotel chain, always a great experience- except this one property. Refused room after finding stained bed, stained shower curtain, stinky and very dirty carpet, hair all over the room. Thanks to Expedia, we got a refund.

Room was remodeled and was very clean and modern

The property was under construction so there were workmen and materials around. The room that we had was clean though. Found the bed very comfortable . We had a small dog which they wanted to charge us $50 for. When we said we would go elsewhere they lowered it to $30.

The hotel is being refurbished, so lots of work being done. I was concerned about noise but it wasn't a problem. We were just there for one night so did not use any amenities. The pool looked good. The breakfast was just what you would expect,scrambled egg and sausage, and the usual waffles. Cereal and juice, toast and muffins. But the "breakfast lady" was great, kept walking around making sure everyone was taken care of. All in all, a great price and clean room, right off of interstate 95. For one night, what more can you ask for.

I hate to give a poor review but it seems like this hotel has went down the drain. My family and I usually stay here when we’re visiting family in south ga. Unfortunately the bathroom toilets, tubs, and sink now have staining and needs serious updating. The elevator was dirty and the breakfast tasted like it was cooked in days old cooking oil.. sweets tasted artificial as well. Coffee from container in lobby came out lukewarm. My TV in my room kept going in and out/staticky. The staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel definitely needs updating and more cleaning inside.

Very clean, just old. The owners appear to be upgrading. The staff was hard working and very helpful.

Friendly staff

Nice staff. We evacuated FL for a hurricane with our dogs and the staff went out of their way to help us. Rooms were decent, beds comfortable. Not a new place, but pretty well maintained.

When we checked into this hotel and made our way up to the room, the room door was propped wide open. We shrugged it off at first, as we were running from a Hurricane in Florida; however, upon further inspection, there was no shower curtain in the bathroom, and to make matters worse, the room was covered in black mold. After mentioning this to the staff, we were told that unfortunately all the rooms were booked, and they would have the room cleaned tomorrow. The room was disgusting and should have never been given to anybody as a place to stay. This was a huge health hazard, as we intended to stay there for at least 3 nights. Instead, we checked out and went elsewhere. Would not recommend a stay at this hotel.

Better breakfast

So, while service was friendly and accommodating, it was not the best experience. The bed was at least comfortable.

My bedspread had either blood or chocolate on it. I am from the Asheville hurricane floods and was too tired to deal with it, so I just moved to the second bed. I did take pictures. Also, the bath mat towel looks like it either wasn’t washed or it’s just so stained that it’s no longer coming clean from the laundry. I always stay at Comfort Inns. But it’s one…what happened?

Great overnight stay closed to I-95

Convenient location off the highway on route. Friendly, helpful staff. Able to use the pool. Didn’t feel that the bathroom had been thoroughly cleaned as the taps in the shower and sink area had not been shined. Didn’t like that the security bar on the door had been broken off and not repaired. The pool definitely needs to be repainted. It gives the impression that it is dirty but it is probably clean. Overall not bad but nothing to write home about.

Along the backside of the ceiling as well as spots on the ceiling. The smell of mildew was overwhelming. You could definitely detect water issues. The shower had cracks throughout the shell and the shampoo was broken off. The front desk gentleman swithched us to a much better room but you were able to still smell mildew and in the bathroom there was obvious issues of water damage again. The front desk did confirm they have been having issues with their water lines throughout the motel. Our room was $117.00 and we will not be returning. The picture posted was nothing like our room was in person. We are extremely disappointed with Hotel.com since they have been purchased. They are no longer monitoring their merchants for excellence. We are disappointed with the new loyalty program they have put in place. Their is no inncentive for us to utilize them for our lodging. We will be looking for alternative platforms.

I really hate to say anything bad against an establishment and I don’t think it had anything to do with the staff but the mold smell was very overpowering when we opened the door to our first room. When trying to turn on the light it didn’t work at first and the light plate was broke to where you could see wires so I didn’t feel safe and saw mold on the bathroom ceiling. We went down and asked for another room the smell was just as bad but didn’t really see else anything wrong. We went down and just asked for a refund at this point so the manger stepped in and asked to show us another room, the smell was still there but not knock you down bad but there was an air purifier on the dresser. So I told the manager at that point that there was no way we were going to stay, which I know we should have done to begin with. Live and learn I guess.

The stance of what we assume was urine was terrible. The mold on the ceilings was just as bad. Place is in poor condition at best. The receptionist said my credit card was declined I contacted the company that was not the case.

AC worked poorly; curtain couldnt be closed all the way or it would have covered vents and parking lot light shined in room all night.

Good and clean place, nice staff

Faulty furniture that falls off the wall and they charge customer for something that was obviously already broke before. When we checked in we noticed the slide tray was off track and only put cell phones on surface, which weigh nothing. We Reported it next morning because it fell down in the middle of the night when every one was sleeping. Front desk said no problem then charges my credit card after I leave. Called to question charge and was told I would get a call back and never heard back.

Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs and sausage. The lady at the breakfast area was very nice as well! Everyone was very nice except one gentleman at the service desk. He kept saying he was going to charge us for our service animal (he didn’t) just thought he was trying to gouge us. Other than that, nice hotel! Pool is a little damaged but clean and felt great.
