It was all good. Kind and helpful staff!

Evelyn at the front desk was amazing. She was very pleasant and helpful and recommended some close dinner options. She also cooked us a wonderful breakfast the next day. Did not expect to be next to the train tracts or to have a chain link fence that prohibited us from going to the beach.

Noise was hard to deal with.

Our room had a lovely view, we really liked the balcony seating area. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a decent selection and although the main breakfast room is tiny, it's nice sitting outside for breakfast in the morning.

Everything else was horrible! It’s nasty the beds are so uncomfortable, the bathrooms were not what was expected and if you are down stairs it’s soooo loud the water presser sucks and so does the “free breakfast”

Staff very hospitable. Recently renovated, clean. Mini split was nice. Water temperature cold at first then difficulty adjusting. No table for two. Poor night sleep stiff bed.

The property needs a lot of modifications and maintenance, too many things without paint and dirty. The staff was friendly, but I think the mayors problem is the administration; They don’t worried about the many issues in the hotel. Need a lot a modification and cleaning to be a site more modern. We think is all problem the administration

It was clean. Jacuzzi was out of order, ice machine was broken, isolation was not good, even with closed windows the traffic noise was horrible. We have stayed at Best Western Plus hotels in several locations and we have always enjoyed our stay, not this time.

The room and bathroom was clean The toilet and shower area was very small. Not a lot of room to move around The temperature of the show water was very hard to control in room 110 The breakfast was excellent and the area was very clean The breakfast included a 3 egg omelette with cheese with plenty of back and sausage The hot tub was out of order The temperature control in the room was not easy to use. I tried several times to adjust the temperature in the room. I would stay here again

Nice place to sleep at. Not much else. Short walk to the beach. No restaurants within walking distance. Better drive a small car . Parking is under the building . The spaces are narrow and short. The ceiling is low. Not good for big SUV’s.

While the location was great, room spacious and clean, and I loved having a balcony and ocean view, the noise from PCH and the trains going by made it hard to sleep. The bed was also too soft for me.

We thought this place was great. Beautiful view, great bed, great breakfasts, and great staff. The price was extremely reasonable. We had a wonderful stay.

Room was clean, no Gideon bible sad to say, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, close to what we wanted to see, overall a good stay.

You get what you pay for. Terrible beds, terrible pillows, furniture needs to be replaced, and overall, needs some TLC. Do not recommend.

The staff is great , very responsive to requests. We stayed on the 2nd floor and had a room with the view of the beach , that was nice. The building is old so the walls and floors are thin and the room below us complained they could hear us. Overall, it was a nice stay, but I will not stay there again.

We were pretty disappointed with this location when it came to cleanliness, the plank flooring was very dirty, it's a light brown colored floor, so it seemed clean at first. IMO I think that house keepers skip mopping most of the time since the dirt isn't visible, the floor was extremely dirty, made my feet black. I used a wet piece of tissue paper and a disinfectant wipe and cleaned a section to see how dirty. The next morning I went to the office and expressed my concern, I showed who I assumed was a manager the dirty paper that I used on the floor and requested that housekeeping mop our room while we were out, we returned later, and honestly I'm not even sure if it was done, still dirty when I retested. The room needed painting in spots and baseboards were filthy and also needed painting. The coffee condiment tray wasn't clean. On Saturday, after not getting out on time to get our room cleaned on Friday, we made sure to get out earlier, as a matter of fact the housekeeper was right next door when we left our room, the cart was right outside our door, we returned during the afternoon and found that our room had not been cleaned. We ran out of hand soap and also towels. I have nothing bad to say about the employees that I had contact with,they were very nice and the breakfast was pretty good, they cooked omelets on Saturday and Sunday.

I didn’t find anything wrong with my stay! From the super clean room, jacuzzi awesome in the room. The ocean view was great and got to see the sunset from outside the patio area. If you plan to go to the beach it’s about 10 min walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. I just wished I stayed extra days!

Just all great customer service and just loved the beach view

First of all, they called us two days before Valentine’s Day saying that they had to downgrade our room because of something that was happening with another person staying there long-term which I understood and we did it when we got there on Valentine’s Day to check in at 3 PM the room was not ready. We waited one hour to go into the room then I had some beers. The fridge was not working. I called them to come look at it and they said that they cannot replace it with a different one because they didn’t have any. I highly do not recommend coming here for any romance or love retreats

From 1am to 5am the room next to us was screaming slapping each other and hitting the wall. Not sure what they were doing but we had no sleep. I’m requesting a refund. Who ever was in the room was partying very disrespectful and disturbing

I was a little disappointed because your description of the property was on the beach, and it’s not, close like across the street but NOT on The Beach! Other then that it was Great Breakfast and Beautiful scenery and right across from the room was the beach, so Pretty!

The staff was really nice and very helpful. The room was clean but the bathroom was very and needs some work. I loved the location but the parking was a nightmare. I really liked the hotel and it was just our bathroom that was not the best. I had a room with a view of the ocean waking up the the waves crashing was great! All the other rooms were really nice my son and his bride and a jacuzzi tube the room was beautiful. Parking is limited and if you have a big car you shouldn’t move it once you are there smaller cars have a better shot of having parking anytime.

I enjoyed the nice sea view from my window, and the staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast has a nice variety but is the same everyday and had to ask they to prepare me some turkey sausage everyday because they always serviced pork meat which i don’t eat.

We loved staying at this hotel it was really worth it. We stayed Sunday-Wednesday and they upgraded us to a partial ocean view for free. Honestly it was a really good view I figured it would be a small view that you really have to turn your head for, but no we could see the ocean clear as day from our bed. The breakfast was nice nothing you wouldn’t expect from a best western. But they have a second story seating option that gives great views of the water and almost no one was up there so it was really peaceful. We would recommend this place and would definitely go back if we were in the area again

All was as we expected-however we had a balcony that we did not enjoy due to guest not observing the no smoking areas. Perhaps more “No Smoking” along the front ramp signage would deter this..

HOWEVER, HOTELS.COM MISREPRESENTED OUR ROOM!!!!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS TRIP!!! In Albuquerque we were supposed to have a Mountain View, we had an interstate wall view and it was noisy!! For this stay, we were supposed to have a beachfront room. We had a view of the building!!!! The hotel manager inform this happens quite often with HOTELS. COM. THEY SHOW PICTURES OF “UPGRADED” ROOMS TO SELL THE ROOM!!!! THEY TELL YOU IT’S A FREE UPGRADE AMD WHEN YOU GET TO THE HOTEL IT’S NOT THE ROOM YOU BOOKED!!! Unfortunately a beachfront room wasn’t even available for our first night. Luckily the manager was kind and gave us a beachfront room the second night. I WILL NOT USE HOTELS.COM AGAIN!!!!

Wonderful full breakfast was provided. Quaint building with multiple sitting areas to enjoy the view of the beach and waves. The train went by a few times, but it didn’t disturb us. The king size bed room was very spacious. Great location near the bridge to cross the street to get to the beach. Free parking was an extra bonus.

Neopolitan and Bella were the best greeting team! They were so helpful when we were evacuated and we felt so at home.

We were excited for our stay because our room had a jetted tub. Unfortunately, the previous occupant smoked cigarettes in the non-smoking room. The odor was very strong. We tried to air it out, but the smell did not go away. We called the front desk and asked to move to another room. The person who checked us in came to the room to see how much it smelled. He immediately smelled the cigarettes. He apologized and gave us another room. It was not a king bed with a jetted rub, but we still enjoyed our stay. Also, the hot breakfast options were great!

Great stay. Not a luxury hotel , but I wasn’t there for luxury. Room was VERY spacious with a vaulted ceiling, nice updated hvac system and very good lighting. The bed was comfortable enough. I liked that it had hard floor instead of carpeting! Breakfast was quite good. The seating area was very small, but they had tables outside too . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful .

I discovered this property on Hotels.com. We were looking for a simple place to spend one night as we were going to a business dinner in San Juan Capistrano. We live in Arizona so we figured let’s find something at the beach! And lo and behold this hotel had availability. We love the fact it was so close to the beach - we could SEE and hear the waves crashing in the morning! my husband loved the breakfast and the coffee. There was even a Keurig in our room and we were in heaven. Great TV for catching the Heisman Trophy award ceremony right before we left for the event. It was a quick 10 minute drive up to San Juan Capistrano old town area. The room was so comfortable! Especially the bed. My husband was also in heaven for that one because it was so comfortable. Super clean you could tell it had some upgrades not too long ago and we appreciated that! The staff was on point too— SO NICE —just an overall great property. Thank you so much!

Sea view from hotel is amaxing and you can also walk across the street to lay on the beach or walk the coast line. 1 was on 2nd floor and could hear footsteps from 3rd floor occupant, didnt last long but noticeable. I had a great view of the ocean out my balcony. U could hear the waves when no cars where on the street. Very relaxing and you were 5mins walking distance from the beach! Ismael helped me check in and he was super friendly and attentive. All staff there are really nice and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Property is so cute with marine themes throughout. Staff was wonderful, welcoming, and food was really great!

On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful. Beach was nearby. Train noise until almost midnight. My biggest issue was a problem with the shower. It wouldn’t put out hot water. Then I was told that the faucet handle had to be set at a very specific spot (which maintenance marked with a sharpie). I don’t understand why they don’t just fix the faucet. How many people will stay in that room and have the same problem?

Room was large and clean. It was very noisy 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed. No blackout curtains. Maid kept taking all the towels that didn’t need to be changed and leaving us without towels and we had to then ask for towels to be replaced both days. Complimentary breakfast was good and parking also good.

Property could use updating but the clientele and staff are always friendly and go above and beyond. Family feel.

this place is across a VERY busy street. you do have a beautiful ocean view. and there is a balcony. but is no where near the sand. was expecting to sleep with the door open and hear the waves. that was NOT an option.

The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and the hotel looked nice on the outside but the room, although it was large, was sparsely furnished and strongly smelled like smoke. There were trsin tracks right across the highway that we were not aware of with trains running very often. Pretty noisy. The view of the ocean and sunset were definitely the highlights of this hotel.

This is the second time that I stayed here. It’s a shabby beach hotel but it’s ok. The rooms were pretty clean but run down. Our door was damaged from being kicked in. My imagination was going wild with what might have happened. Our curtain was broken and hung down. There was a missing knob on the bathroom vanity. But it’s across the street from the beach and you can’t beat that. All this being said. I’ll stay there again.

The location of the property is great and had convenient access to the beach. We couldn’t enjoy our balcony due to the amount of ants. There were also ants in our bathroom and around the sink. We had trouble connecting to the WiFi and when we asked for assistance, staff could not help.

Amazing staff

My girlfriend and Istayed at the property in a King sized room that had a view of the ocean from the third floor. Convenient on site parking, friendly staff, and was perfect for us. We had a great time at the beach that was right across the street and used the hotel as a base of operation while we visited the surrounding parts of California.

Very good mid priced hotel. Great service and location. The supplied breakfast was good and included a view of the ocean. The room was well appointed, however well used and could stand for minor updates.

This Best Western Plus was not as welcoming a facility as their website suggests. It is somewhat aged, confining, and the parking is all under the structure and confined. Their breakfast was traditional and nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was particularly helpful. We would not return..

We booked a room expecting a balcony with an ocean view. No such luck. We got a room in the back of the complex with no view other than the courtyard. Very disappointed. The volume on the TV didn’t work, the bed frame was sticking out (wife ran into it twice) , and there were ants. The lady checking us in was sweet but sooooo slow. The manager fixed the bed and the TV , but nothing could be done about the room. The free breakfast was meh! We will not be returning.

The consistent trains was not good, the having to go across the street over the bridge for the beach was not too convenient the parking at hotel was great so was the breakfast

The floor was so dirty that when we took a shower the shower floor turned black. Reported this to the manager First night and the problem still occurred. On our day of departure after three days there was urine in the stairwell.

Overall it was good. The bed is very very squeaky. The toilet was clogged and we had to wait a long time for a plunger.

We had stayed at a different hotel for four days prior to our stay here. Although it was on the ocean and had a beautiful view, it was old And outdated. The service was not great. We were pleasantly surprised when we had our last night. Stay here. It was clean. It was updated. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was amazing. We will be coming back here anytime we are in the SoCal area.
