Hotel Plaza de Armas Cusco

I really liked the location. It was convenient and close to everything. What I didn’t like was the lack of a proper lobby. The location was great, but when you arrive, it doesn’t really feel like a hotel. There is no welcoming lobby area where guests can sit, relax, or gather. Instead, there’s an ice cream shop at the back, an elevator, and a small reception desk. The entrance feels quite basic and doesn’t give a very good first impression. It wasn’t a major problem, but I would have preferred a more comfortable and inviting lobby area, especially after a long day of traveling.

Shower temperature wasn't consistent

Great staff, specially Maria at the front desk- very helpful and attentive to our needs. Clean hotel room and the staff provided daily cleaning and complimentary 2 bottles of water. No air conditioning but could not leave the windows open at night due to the non-stop noises from the activities in and around the plaza/square. The hotel provided ear plugs though which is nice.

The location was great. When I booked the rooms I wrote to the Hotel asking if the rooms could be the ones with a balcony. The respondent that all de rooms had a balcony so I was excited about that. Unfortunately when I arrived to the hotel the receptionist told me that only one of the three rooms had a balcony and that she was given me and my family “the left ones”. My room had no view at all and de shower floor was in bad shape. For that I would like a refund, because the expressly told me all the rooms had a balcony and it was a lie.

Plaza location, saw parades out my window and activities on the plaza. I could close the window and also block out the noise. Even though the hotel was off the plaza, it was quieter in the room than another hotel I stayed out further back in the town. NA

The place it was nice and the view it’s expectacular They don’t have the hot pot for coffee or tea

Great location. Outdoor seating for coffee was wonderful.

Can’t beat the location (unless you want quiet - it’s right on the main plaza and it’s loud). Great little restaurant for breakfast or coffee, balcony overlooking the square. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious. Everything was very clean. We were in a corner room, which followed the roofline and kept bumping our head on the low ceiling part by one side of the bed. In retrospect I wish I had asked for a different room when we checked in. They were also not communicative about the pre-arranged airport pickup and we had to call them from the airport (like they forgot about us). They did send a taxi right away once we called.

The breakfast had ok variety and nice view over the plaza The rooms are small, warm water comes and goes and there is very poor pressure in the shower. The cleanliness was questionable, with stains on the linens and dustballs in the corners and in the closet. The location may seem nice, but there is noise 24/7 from traffic and people out partying. Lack of ventilation means you need the window open and it gets difficult to sleep in all that noise.

THe location is great. Bed very comfortable, room spacious (room 204 better than 201). Great breakfast and kind staff If you are noisy sensitive, be aware the location of the hotel - right in the center of the plaza.

We loved the activity outside on the square. We knew it would be loud and busy. This may not be what some travellers are looking for, so do know that this area is full of beautiful life!

Very comfortable bed and quiet even though it is on the main plaza. The location is unbeatable, the room and services were great too. Breakfast was delicious with many options. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we were on 5 day hike and they kindly store our luggage. Would stay here again!

The location was great (although because of that, too noisy), the food was very good, the terrace was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, the room spacious and the shower with hot water and good pressure. They prepared a breakfast to go when we had an early tour and they storage our luggage for us. I do recommend the place (if you like the busy center). The room cleaners were very nice ( with treats everyday) If you are a light sleeper be aware of the noise (although the room had double windows)
