Reviews
The Culver Hotel is a historic, boutique hotel with a charming atmosphere and excellent location in the heart of Culver City. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and proximity to restaurants and shops. However, some guests express disappointment with the lack of on-site dining and parking, as well as the noise from the surrounding area.

It’s an old, beautiful hotel, very conveniently located. Odd shaped buildings, so odd shaped room - but charming. There is a lot to like. Underground parking next door, and walkable neighborhood. Had a great time. Did get woke up by screaming homeless person early morning, but has nothing to do with the hotel. Also did not observe many homeless while walking around - it’s a safe neighborhood. Will stay again

Great location, great vibe. Everything is so elegant with a sense of history and Hollywood. Love it.

We had a very nice one night stay.

Spacious room The curtains were broken, no pool, the staff in the restaurant is rude and slow, they prefer to serve the restaurant guests but not hotel guests, they give hotel guests the worst tables. They promise complimentary fruits but it takes 5 times to ask to bring them. The street was closed so I had to park a block away and walk with luggage.

Beautiful hotel with lovely spacious rooms. Location was perfect for where I needed to be. I initially booked through Booking.com but was charged twice, once through the Booking.com app and again from the hotel directly. Advice would be to verify charges upon checking out.

Although I didn’t consume breakfast the CAPPUCCINO was outta this world. Better than Erewhon! Maybe best I’ve ever had. I loved the honey substitute— however, brown, palm or turbinado sugar is a MUST!

Great historical hotel, beautiful vibe for cocktails.

Not every modern convenience, and limited in some ways (no countertop around the sink, oddly shaped rooms, a huge wardrobe rather than a closet), but if you like history and appreciate the preservation of unique architectural details, this is an excellent find. Lovely outdoor dining, parking was near enough, very walkable area. Expensive, but we’d go back. Really enjoyed this slice of film history that has been left intact and offers a window into a bygone era.

The gym was very small and underwhelming. The public areas and the room were very clean. Generally, the feeling is a bit tired. It is a reasonable place to stay but overpriced.

Still a lovely hotel after all the years! Great location with a variety of restaurants within walking distance. We didn't rent a car for try weekend because The Culver is easy access via ride share to every where on the westside to downtown. I used to live in the arts district in Culver City for many years and I could not recommend this hotel more - excellent stay, best location!

I used to work in hotels, I have high standards, and this property knocked it out of the park! From the beautiful rooms, to the tiny touches, to the incredible staff, to high tea, to the live music in the lobby this was a romantic and luxurious stay. I already asked my husband when we can do it again! Laurent at the front desk was a total standout

Room smelled of mildew due to poor ventilation and moisture. Room was very dusty. Could hear street noise throughout the night and club music made for a poor nights sleep. Just awful given the amount of money charged per night.

This was a cute historic hotel in a great location. The room was decent - mine had a lot of windows. The bed was comfortable and the room was mostly clean (except for a few hairs still in the bathroom when I arrived.) There was a little bit of a sense of it being slightly run down and not entirely taken care of. The staff were bleak. There was supposed to be a refill of filtered bottled water every day but that didn't happen for any of my four days there. There was also a lot of noise every evening from the nearby Culver Steps, one night a musician, one night a movie. Not a quiet sleep. I'm glad I stayed there once but don't need to stay there again.

Hotel has a great location and is in an interesting refurbished building. My primary criticism is that the finishes in the room and bathroom seemed super cheap. I was hoping for a much nicer space along the lines of something in the ballpark of the Chelsea in NYC or at least at the same level as the Figueroa downtown. It’s a nice hotel but probably won’t stay again.

Lovely location in Culver City with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants near by. Also a plus is the cinema right next door and the Sony Studios not far away. Very helpful staff and the hotel itself has an old Hollywood feel. Not the most modern of rooms but I guess that’s the feel they are going for. The hotel restaurant Lillie’s was very nice. We stayed over thanksgiving and had thanksgiving dinner, it was delicious!

Located in the heart of Culver City, this hotel offers a convenient, vibrant, and safe environment. The nearest metro station is less than a 10-minute walk away. The property is well-renovated, spacious, and impeccably clean, featuring a charming retro-inspired design and a nice city view (a photo taken from the room window is attached). It can be a bit noisy at night due to some activity nearby (youngsters hanging out and DJ music). It wasn’t a major issue for me, but those looking for a very quiet environment might want to consider this.

Was in a great little ‘village’ vibe area. Beautiful elegant interiors Clean spacious room and bathroom Comfortable bed Happy staff and good service Menu could have more vegetarian options A parking ‘pass’ rather than having to get ticket validated each time.

Great staff, nice hotel. Parking situation is terrible. Self-park in a parking garage across two traffic lighted intersections. Hotel offers no valet service, so you're on your own. To retrieve car and bring to the hotel for loading bags requires driving a mile-long loop through sometimes gridlocked streets. A hotel this nice and at this price point should offer valet services for its guests.

Breakfast was good but the service was extremely slow. Bringing out the coffee without sugar, then having to wait a long time. Asking for ketchup, the meal was almost all eaten before that was brought out. Waiting a long long time to get someone there yo ask for a cup of coffee when first sitting down. Having to search for someone to ask for a drink at the bar. Service was extremely bad.

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. However, when the air conditioning in the room doesn’t work properly, it makes for a miserable nights sleep. They sent someone to work on it promptly but it took to 2 calls to repair it. The second night it went out again, unfortunately late into the night. Everything else was fantastic. It’s really quiet and feels safe. The beds and pillows are comfortable. If the air conditioning worked, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

very nice location with nostalgic era. wanted seating outside for family to grab an outside lunch but was told to move since the restaurant did not accept outside food. wish they had casual seating for their guests. didn't need a chair by the closet door, we could of use a bench seat that fit better. overall the room was clean and well maintained.

Well appointed rooms, great central location. Staff is excellent and very attentive. At check in, my wife inquired if the gym would be available for yoga, she was immediately offered a yoga mat delivered to the room if she’d be interested and preferred that over the gym room. Simple thing but much appreciated!

Booked/paid for a room for my sister and her sons. They got to experience Culver City (where I live) at its finest. In the center of downtown, they were able to get their first $15 Erewhon smoothies, walk to 2 independent bookstores and dozens of fine dining. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff accommodated all their requests with ease.

Watch for the “hidden” $20 daily parking fee where you supposedly park free on a validated parking receipt 3 blocks away when there is public parking right next door for $12. Watch for $39/day “convenience “ fee for things you don’t use. Restaurant small and very noisy. Can’t have a conversation. We found staff to be very unfriendly for the high price you pay!!

The staff, facilities, and amenities were all world class. From the receptionists, to the maids, to the bartender willing to lend a friendly ear, everyone was a joy to be around. And that was particularly nice because I was staying there during the worst day of my life. When 20 years of effort result in superlative humiliation, it’s nice to come back to some friendly faces.

I love the personal touch they give you at this hotel. There was a hand written not in our room along with a chilled complimentary bottle of champagne. The location is great. Many restaurants and bars just steps away from the hotel and it’s in a very safe area. Our room was very quiet , clean , and quaint. We will definitely stay there again.

Great location. Beautiful historic building on the outside. Staff was friendly. The inside area and rooms need much better planning and updating.

I wish they had their own parking lot but other than that I would return. I loved that the TV allowed me to use my Netflix and other streaming services. I enjoyed the Prosecco after a frustrating day. Nice touch.

Beautiful hotel in a great spot. Safe area with plenty to do walking distance. Only complaint would be that the continental breakfast at the hotel was very small, just coffee, juices, yogurt and limited pastries

A very pleasant stay with high-quality amenities and spotless, elegant room. The sense of history at this landmark hotel provides an extra dimension of enjoyment. Triangular building with weird angles is intriguing. Neighborhood has an abundance of eateries, cinemas, shops. A great option.

This was such a cool area. It’s about 20 minutes north and there’s so much to do just in culver alone. There are buses available to the beach and LA. I was able to visit Hollywood forever very easily too

Everything about my stay was outstanding, from the room appointments to the staff and food. I will always choose The Culver Hotel while visiting family in LA. Thank you so very much to EVERYONE at the Culver. You are the absolute best.

Had a lovely time at this hotel, workout room a bit small, but this is the only drawback I found.

Culver Hotel was outstanding. Great location. The staff was very pleasant and customer service oriented. Our room was lovely. Didn’t realize the continental breakfast wasn’t available on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so slight bummer. Parking was a block and a half away, which wasn’t terrible, but be prepared for a bit of walking if you’ll be in and out like we were. Overall a great stay.

Parking VERY inconvenient. 3+ blocks away. All in all an ok stay. Probably won’t stay there again.
