It's new. It's clean. There is possibility to grab tea in the evening and get coffee in the morning. Free parking is very useful. Easy to get around. The breakfast is super basic. The location is not for first time LA visitors.

Style was great Rooms are too small for 2 person. Bed is so small and thera are not any space on one side of the bed. Also they are ending the breakfast at 9am. This is too early for tourists. If you have more than one luggage i won’t suggest to stay at mayumi. They don’t even have an eleveator.

Rooms are modern and very cool. Love the design. The space seems bigger than it actually is. Quiet and serene in the night. Do not think you can sleep in though. A lot of heavy thuds and bangs and loud talking both mornings I was there. It is very conveniently located and remarkably well priced for a three star boutique hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean room with an ironing board, cable TV, desk, and everything you'd expect. Soundproofing could use some work, but other than that it is a pleasant comfy experience at an affordable price in a safe quiet area.

I had an absolutely amazing stay from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right away. The hotel is perfectly located in a beautiful and safe neighborhood, with everything close by, including a supermarket within walking distance and many attractions just a short drive away. The room was spacious, modern, and spotless, and it was clear that a lot of attention is paid to cleanliness and detail. The parking facilities were very convenient and easy to access. On top of that, the breakfast was fresh, varied, and of very good quality. Overall, this was easily one of the best choices I could have made for my stay in Los Angeles. Honestly, I didn’t experience any negatives. Everything exceeded my expectations and was very well taken care of.

Beautiful boutique hotel with continental breakfast, manager’s hour snacks, and bike share. Small room but the shower was great and the courtyard was an amazing space to relax or read in.

Location. Is great. The building has an interior area that is so lovely. The shower is also great. Very modern.

It was clean, modern, quiet and beautiful with a lovely courtyard and nice breakfast options. Parking is not provided, and there are no evident signs or instructions provided about where it is okay to park. It was a little unclear what the rules were with respect to the kitchen and what food items and tools were there for all guests and what food items belonged to specific guests.

We appreciated the cool vibe of this hotel with its central courtyard and reception area with wide movable glass panes to open up into the courtyard on beautiful days. Water, coffee/tea, and fruit are available all day. It is close in proximity to a major indoor shopping center and a strip mall (across the street). I appreciated the non-dairy option of almond milk with my coffee. Street parking was not an issue during our 3-night stay. Orange (or any) juice wasn't an available drink offered during continental breakfast. Since there are probably water restrictions in LA, the water pressure in the shower was poor (the hand-held shower had a little more pressure than the waterfall shower).

Clean, modern room. Fantastic complementary breakfast with fruit, pastries, yoghurt, etc. The courtyard is simply beautiful. Within walking distance (about 15 mins) from Target, Trader Joes, and a Westfield. Free parking, which seems to be a rarity these days. Free bottles of water available whenever you'd like from reception.

I didn’t have a vehicle, but there were spaces to park in the back. The house Ferrari helpful, especially when I needed to get an Uber or a taxi. It was a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely come back here if I was coming to Culver City thank you.
- 5/5
There seems to be a bit of community or that you could stay long term, because the communal outdoor areas are so well-designed and there is a breakfast and happy hour in what could be used as a huge modern kitchen to cook your own meals. It’s a unique concept I enjoyed.
- 5/5
I loved the cute little courtyard with the swings and the atmosphere of nature within all the rooms. I also loved the LED lights in the room itself. Truly a vibe! I wasn’t a huge fan of the breakfast, it was great, but for the amount I was paying I’d expect a little more variety but otherwise everything else was good
- 0.5/5
Management did eventually respond, but provided no evidence that I caused any damage and no receipts justifying the $150 charge. For a low-quality iron and ironing board cover, the amount seems excessive. This felt like being charged for old, poorly maintained equipment, above market rate, for damage caused by their staff and previous guests. I cannot recommend staying here.

The property is a beautiful, boutique hotel located right in Sawtelle Blvd., about one block east of Sepulveda in culver city. When you walk through the gates, you are instantly transported to a serene, garden-like sanctuary which is located just outside of the hotel lobby. There are canopy chairs and high top tables located amongst the garden along with a fire pit and bbq area. Mayumi lobby was unlike any hotel lobby I’ve ever seen before. It’s not the usual, serious office furniture hotel lobby, space you see anywhere else. I would describe it as a lounge, it almost reminds me of a more modern and upscale common area. That’s how would describe it. I love that there is a 24 hour water station so I didn’t have to worry about stocking up on water for my stay. The continental breakfast actual has some very good, artisanal pastries that I absolutely loved. The room is perfect for a weekend getaway for a single or young, adventurous couple. The bed was a little small than what I am surf to but it was comfortable and I slept well. I loved that I could watch tv directly from the shower. There is ample closet and drawer space for your clothes along with a mini fridge. There is a cute, frozen yogurt shop located directly across the street and a grocery store within a five minute walk. There is only street parking available but it is completely safe on either side. If you get a late night munchie attack, on the other side of the frozen yogurt store is a jack in the box. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance and the hotel is in a very walkable and run friendly neighborhood. The staff are very friendly!

My experience at Mayumi was okay. Pros: Property is fairly modern with above average amenities. Cons: Rooms are small for two people with large glass wall between bedroom and bathroom, maintenance could have been better (sink was clogged and shower leaked), could hear people walking around on floor above, which was disruptive at night and early in the morning
- 4.5/5
Very clean Pleasant helpful staff Not in a very walkable area Really need a car Mayumi needs better coffee or good coffee shop nearby to walk to

Our first room was loud and vibrating from the room next to it so much that we could hardly sleep. We did however get a new room right away.

This place is the best kept secret! European style stay. Smaller rooms with all of the Amenities. Modern minimalist feel. Friendly staff, no hassles, super clean and new. On street parking so no 60.00 to park. Full size bed which might turn some off, but plenty for a single stay! Love this place.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond. Housekeeping is amazing. The rooms are very clean and the property is well kept. The AC, lightening and curtain/shades are high tech and user friendly. Bikes are free and available (the staff thoroughly clean and sanitize them). Location is convenient and the environment is safe, tranquil and comfortable. The “free” breakfast choices are awesome. It’s so convenient that tea, coffee, water and fruit is unlimited and available 24 hours.

Loved my stay at Mayumi as a solo traveler. It's a really beautiful place (the courtyard is great) and the rooms were modern and clean. Staff was all friendly and the location was convenient for a person without a car because there is a grocery store right across the street.

The breakfast was continental. The coffee was fresh. There was a variety of pastries to choose from. The fruit was fresh, and the yogurt was a brand I like. The courtyard was lovely and well appointed. The rooms are compact and well-designed. It was all very modern. The bed was firm and comfortable—lots of pillows. I also appreciated that there was a hidden refrigerator and ceiling lighting that could be color-changed. There wasn't anything I didn't like. The variety is what you would expect from a continental breakfast.

Location was nice, on-street parking only, included breakfast was simple and ok. Deluxe studio with a double size bet was not at all practical for 2 adults.

clean and easy to access. Noise levels made it tough to sleep. The pillow ls were oddly uncomfortable. The walls are thin — cars passing through the alley on one side, the courtyard on the other and you can hear people upstairs. I got very little sleep.

The building is modern and feels new but it looks like it’s made out of containers. When it rains, it’s extremely loud. The location isn’t bad but it’s not that convenient. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The staff is nice and the courtyard is cute. It also doesn’t have a safe. And amenities are pretty bad overall. The bed is also small. I don’t recommend this place for non solo travelers.

The room was extremely small and the bed was very hard. They have a digital screen that operates the shades, lights etc that stopped working so we couldn’t open the shades. The air vent is directly over the pillows blasting cold air on our heads. We checked out early despite having paid for another night because it was that bad.

The room was super clean and modern, sheets were crisp and white, bed was made perfectly and location was great. I felt safe and I found my room quiet, I never heard traffic, some voices occasionally from within the hotel, but nothing that was extreme or went on. Check-in was a breeze and friendly. I love that they offer a complimentary daily wine manager's wine hour and continental breakfast and the selection was ample to me as I tend to eat heavier later in the day. The coffee was actually very good imo and they had a selection of tea and juices too. I loved the common areas, very well thought out with a fire pit, group seating arrangements, the hanging chairs, the huge grill and eating area and bikes for use - amenities usually not found at other hotels so easily in one general spot. The only essential I needed and I forgot to pack was not found was lotion, otherwise, my boxes were checked! I would absolutely stay again; highly recommend.

The staff is pleasant enough but not particularly engaging. The room is small and the bathroom is… hmm… not private enough as it has a thin curtain surrounding a glass shower adjacent to the everything else zone. It’s neither sound proof or visually private. The bed is fine enough. It’s a convenient area for visiting Culver City, Mar Vista and Playa Vista. The courtyard is amazing and I enjoyed the creative space that’s ideal for relaxing and enjoying a meal or beverage. The swing chairs and fire spaces are great. I recommend this property for an individual only. It’s tiny. Also, breakfast is served for a very brief period and it is limited in offering.

Totally would have been okay with checking out that same evening I realized the Internet was not working but they told me I would not be getting reimbursed for the day if I did that. Completely

When I finally checked into the quieter room. the digital iPad system that controls the temperature, lighting, and blinds was completely non-functional, and there were a number of tangled cords exposed. The room was freezing cold, and when I called the front desk to report the problem, I was told they didn’t have an extra comforter available but that someone could manually adjust the temperature for me that evening. The next day, it still didn't work. Since I only had one more night, I said that was fine. The staff member I initially interacted with seemed impatient and mildly annoyed by my requests, which made the situation even more unpleasant. However, the staff member who assisted me at checkout was kind and professional. I calmly explained what had happened, and the manager later called to apologize and offered me a 15% discount. To my surprise, instead of applying 15% off the total stay, they only discounted one night. This lack of integrity and professionalism left a bad impression - Mayumi is a no-go.

The hotel was a nice, affordable option for staying in an otherwise expensive city. Staff was very nice, lovely courtyard to sit out in the evening with water and fire features or sit out in the morning with the tasty Continental breakfast including muffins, pastries, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, toast, coffee and tea. There is a refrigerator filled with cold water bottles that are for the guests to take. Room was clean and modern. Shopping center across the street as well as a frozen yogurt place. Hotel set in a safe neighborhood with on.street parking that was easy to find. No complaints and will definitely stay again next time we are visiting L.A.

No onsite parking, found out when I arrived. The manager refused to refund fully for a work trip because I needed to stay at a different hotel in order to have secure parking for the work vehicle filled w equipment. I didn’t stay a single night, was unaware there wasn’t onsite parking, yet they charged me. It blew me away I was treated with such disrespect. This is the hospitality industry isn’t it? The manager wouldn’t budge. That is honestly ridiculous. Give your business somewhere else that respects guests, should you have a problem, this is the kind of service you can expect. I stayed up the road at a well known hotel where they were so kind and understanding of l my predicament. They even offered to comp my parking for the bad experience at this joint.

Didn’t spend much time at the hotel over this short stay. But overall, it’s a cute boutique hotel with a cozy, welcoming courtyard (complete with a BBQ setup) and nice amenities. The complimentary breakfast each morning was particularly nice as were the free bottles of water that you can grab at any time of day. The only downsides (if I had to choose them) were: 1) the beds seemed rather small - fine for one person, but a bit cramped for two; and 2) the sheets were really rough/scratchy (definitely in need of an upgrade). Other than that, our stay was great! Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff and place, very clean as well. Parking not so great, need to find parking somewhere on the street right next to the hotel and worry about street cleaning. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Great property & employees. Free water, coffee & tea.

99% of the time when I come to stay in Los Angeles, I will stay at this hotel. It’s super convenient and relatively centrally located. The room and facility is really clean.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean, and I loved the big screen TV with a wide range of channels—much better than most hotels. The shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but overall it was comfortable. The location is super convenient, right by the Westfield Mall, close to major freeways, and with a grocery store across the street plus plenty of dining options nearby. The courtyard at night is a really nice place to unwind, and I appreciated the communal kitchen for free water and tea. The included breakfast was a great perk, especially when you’re on the go. Parking can be a little tricky, and you may need to walk a short distance, but it’s manageable. For a solo traveler, this place is just about perfect.

Really nice modern motel experience. Friends staff.
- 5/5
The hotel is pretty good, convenient location, and people are friendly. The only downside is that the parking is in the street and depending on the time spots are difficult to find.
- 5/5

Pleasant open courtyard and breakfast/shared kitchen area. Small well appointed room. Friendly staff. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with dining and shopping nearby.
- 3/5
Check-in was quick and easy. I appreciated the clean, minimalistic aesthetic of the room. I visited during WeHo Pride, and I found the open spaces outside the room to be quite inviting, along with a distinctive kitchen area where guests can help themselves to a continental breakfast. However, there were some noise concerns. While the overall area was relatively quiet, I could hear a family with children moving about, which disrupted the tranquility of my stay. It had some noise issues. The area itself was fairly quiet as far as noise goes, but I could hear a whole family with kids running back and forth, up and down the stairs from the room above me and past my room door, so the room wasn't very quiet, making it difficult to sleep past 6 am. The housekeeper beat on my door for cleaning like it was time for me to leave, even though I was staying there for two nights. Street parking in and around the neighborhood is the only option. No parking is available on site.
- 5/5
Great hotel, comfy bed, good breakfast options and lovely staff!
- 5/5
This hotel was one of the best I've stayed in! Everything was clean and updated. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast selection was great. I absolutely loved the remote control blinds to make the room as dark as needed. The open courtyard was beautiful. Next time I am in the L.A. area I will be staying here again! Highly reccomend!

Thank you Kevin and James for being outstanding representatives of the hotel.

Comfortable room, lovely courtyard area!
- 4/5
Parking was a bit hard, right on a corner of the street around business & houses. Rooms were really nice. Water pressure in the shower was not the best as well as the water temp.
- 5/5
Amazing place to stay
- 5/5
Very clean and as presented online. Rooms are small; however, worked for our needs. The only issue was the shower door did not close completely, there was a slight gap. Other than that for one night we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Booked last minute after a failed Airbnb experience and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. The staff was excellent and helpful. And the courtyard is an awesome space for eating, relaxing, and working.
- 5/5
Great find! Friendly staff, nice amenities and breakfast.
- 4/5
Quiet and clean updated motel near LA. The courtyard space is really nice and the continental breakfast had delicious fresh pastries.
- 5/5
This was our second year staying at Mayumi. The rooms are compact but stylish and comfortable, and the staff is fantastic - laid back yet professional and helpful. The highlight is the courtyard with various seating areas including a fire pit - we were able to have family over for a post-dinner drink (BYO except for coffee, tea, and water which is provided in the lobby/common kitchen, along with glasses & ice), and the steel doors on the surrounding rooms keep the noise completely out so you don't disturb anyone! Despite it being street parking only, we've always found a spot within half a block. And there's a grocery store across the street. Good value for money.
- 5/5
great value, very clean and modern
- 5/5
This is a really great property and the people that work here are great too. I stay here every time. I’m in LA.
- 5/5
Staff was 10/10 nice! Location is great, and kept secure. Rooms are perfectly cozy, modern, and very sexy. The courtyard was fun to chill in. Breakfast was great! I’ll definitely stay here again. Parking was not an issue for me during my stay.
- 5/5
Convenient, clean, beautiful homey courtyard, great service, great price!
- 5/5
They breakfast did not have any low carb options.

Mayumi is an adorable hotel. As many others have mentioned, it's modern, clean and secure. Located in a fun, convenient (there's a grocery/drug store across the street and a Jack in the Box next door), but quieter neighborhood with free parking were all huge wins for us. However, the rooms are VERY small and would cater to a couple or a single person verse those traveling with friends. The standard room features a full size bed and a "wall-less" bathroom that offers a 180 degree view of the shower and toilet if the curtains aren't closed. When we were checking in, the gentleman at the front desk was a bit curt, but pulled it together once he realized that we were staying at the hotel and NOT lost strangers. I'd absolute come back here if I was traveling solo, but even with my partner, we'd probably opt to stay somewhere that offered a bit more space.
- 5/5
Mayumi exceeded our expectations. It was so quiet, very clean and we loved the ambiance. We would definitely stay there when we visit Culver City again.
- 4/5
Loved the opportunity to check out a bike and helmet to explore the beautiful surroundings! Hated the over one-inch gap under my door, exposing guests to critters from outside (I have a phobia)! I reported this on my first day and made clear how fearful I was about this. I finally got moved to a room without this unacceptable flaw during my last night at the hotel. Better late than never, but there should be no gap this big under an outside door in the first place - and when flagged, it should be corrected right away.
- 5/5
I stay here whenever I’m out in the area for work. It’s always SPOTLESS. And the people who work there are so kind. I’m nervous posting a good review will make them busier and more challenging to book here (lol), but I think that highly of them!!!!
- 5/5
Clean and quiet and plenty of space for free parking nearby.
- 5/5
Always love staying here! Very helpful staff, lovely outdoor patio, small but very comfortable rooms, lovely amenities (breakfast, water, coffee and tea).
- 4/5
The Mayumi is a great option for solo travelers who just need a clean room and appreciate clean lines and attention to detail. Much better than staying at a corporate hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed on a first floor room and found it a bit noisier than a second floor room (that I had stayed at previously). If quiet is important to you, do what all seasoned travelers do: pack earplugs.
- 4/5
The room was small, just enough space to squeeze by into the bed. I stayed with my husband. We were both traveling from work and I maintained east coast hours, while he was working west coast hours. The outside wall of the bathroom is a curtain around the glass shower rather than an actual wall, so when I woke up early and turned on the bathroom light, it shined directly into the room (the curtain is NOT black-out), and it woke him up every day. There was also no side table on his side of the bed, nor was there enough room for him to get into the bed from that bathroom wall side - he had to crawl over me or from the foot of the bed. The bed was so close to the bathroom wall, that it would also ruffle that wall curtain out of place. Very strange design choice. Bathroom included soap, conditioner, and shampoo. Closet was large with an iron. Fridge in the room. Everything in the room (lights, window curtain, A/C) is managed by a single panel on the wall. The AC didn't always work and at one point the room went to 83 degrees and we couldn't get it to cool. I would stay here again but only if traveling alone.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at Mayumi twice now while visiting the area for business. The front desk staff are always friendly and check in is a breeze. The rooms are clean and recently renovated with smart tech like motorized blinds and color changing cove lighting. For those driving in, parking is available for free on the streets surrounding the hotel and I was always able to find a space nearby.
- 5/5
Couldn’t decide between a few different areas and hotels but glad I chose Mayumi. Was really chilled, nice size room and super clean. I didn’t do anything in the surrounding area so can’t really comment but I felt safe there and the staff were friendly. It’s obviously not a super swanky hotel option but it felt really easy and relaxing, nice vibe and really cool design overall with the courtyard and fire pit. Shower was 10/10 and the bed/ pillows were really comfy. Would recommend to friends/ family for sure.
- 5/5
Wow, what a great hotel! We'd stay there for a month if we could! Such great architecture and interiors, fab staff (Wendy rocks!), yummy b'fast, ten minutes to LAX, Marina Del Rey and Venice, a cool courtyard to hang out in, bikes to ride, free street parking, Menchie's Yogurt across the street and an old school office and stationery store next store. They pretty much thought of everything, yay!
- 5/5

A really well done remodel w stylish functionality. Very well appointed and comfortable rooms.

Very cute locally-owned boutique hotel, in a convenient location close to the airport, Westfield shopping mall, and right across the street from a strip mall with a grocery store, which came handy to take advantage of the in-room mini refrigerator and microwaves in the reception/lounge area. Decent continental breakfast and sake happy hour. Free parking on the streets surrounding the building, just be aware of parking restrictions on street cleaning days and remember to move your car. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
This place is a cool modern urban oasis in a place you’d never expect! Chic modern architecture surrounding a warm communal space in an interior courtyard. Room was modern, roomy and clean with an awesome shower with glass on three sides! What a great find .

Very cozy, clean and quiet.

Cool atmosphere. Not a hotel experience by any means (take that for what it is). Check out the pics online for more info. I came for business and it was a walkable distance to where I needed to be. I would definitely stay again if I had to come back to this area.
- 5/5
Very clean, up to date hotel. Rooms were nice, fridge, touch screen controls, but very small. We would stay there again!
- 5/5
The room was clean and compact but so modern. Plus their court yard is so cute. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay here. It was super clean and love their outdoor patio in the middle of the hotel. It gives you good vibes. They play music and it just feels very homie. I will definitely come back to stay here. It was an easy check in and the staff was the friendliest. A big shout out to Darius and Wendy. They were super helpful during my stay and were the kindest people. Thank you for making things very seamless without any trouble. There is a lot of street parking and the continental was great. Very simple, coffee, pastries, tea and fruit. Loved my stay over all. Again thank you and will be back soon.

Cool unique complex with good service and breakfast.
- 5/5
The property is incredibly well kept, and it has a great artistic feel to it. The inside of the rooms look amazing. The construction and aesthetics were clearly well thought out when this hotel was being put together. Also, the staff was very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Loved the property and the people. Bed was very firm. Room is high tech. Free sake and breakfast were lovely!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at Mayumi. Small boutique hotel with lovely inner courtyard just off check-in desk and lobby where continental breakfast and complimentary afternoon drink offered. Loved the complimentary bicycles as Ballona Creek bike path nearby. Fabulous staff! We’ll stay here again in the future!
- 5/5
Great little, basic hotel with free coffee and pastries in the morning. Modern, clean design and reasonably sized rooms, which is perfect for a short stay

Reception staff later in the evening were really friendly and accommodating! Area felt safe. Street parking only. Complimentary cold water was nice. Probably won't stay again.
