Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The breakfast is generally well-liked, with a variety of options, although some guests found it to be cold or not available at certain times. The rooms are described as clean and comfortable, but some guests found them to be small or outdated. The location is convenient for many, with easy access to the freeway and nearby restaurants.

breakfast adequate but consisted of the typical watery powdered eggs and warm (not hot) bacon. coffee was better than often found in hotels like this one. bed was comfortable, shower fine. had trouble staying cool enough to sleep, even with AC set to 65 degrees—didn’t work very well. much nicer than other hotel nearby with the same name.

Booked hotel to use the hot tub after a day of mountain climbing. Informed at check in that hot tub wasn’t working so I could not stay., booked another motel with a functional hottub instead. Notified hotel staff and expedia right way. However neither is able to help issue a refund.

This hotel is not fancy but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. Also, it's easy to get to right off I-5. I would definitely stay there again.

Terrible Policy! Be aware of your booking. Double check your towns, cities, cancel policies! My son and I did not stay at the Best Western Cottage Grove and was charged for booking the wrong town. We were on way to Arizona, I pulled in at a rest area to book a room, I accidentally entered the wrong city, it was late. It was minutes, I noticed I put the wrong city we were traveling to once we got to the next exit. I asked for cancellation request right away through the AI travel rep in Hotels.com since it was late at night. The AI rep said it was through my credit card and processing nothing they can do at that moment. So we booked another room. Once we got home I notice that Best Western Cottage Grove charged me full price for a room we never touched, never stopped in that town! I reached out to Hotels.com they were great and she said would reach out to the property to ask for a refund, but this room had no cancellation policy. It was seriously a few minutes, innocent mistake. Hotels.com understood since I booked another room quickly, but the representative said it was up to the property to give me a refund. Hotels.com did reached out to the property and they refused to give a refund. Now a days it’s harder than ever to go anywhere! It’s more expensive for gas, food, lodging any other added fees expenses for families to go see family members in other states is ridiculous! I don’t even mind a cancellation fee but charge full price for a room I didn’t use is ridiculous!

Upon arrival the neighbourhood looked a little run down but overall the hotel was quite pleasant and close to lots of restaurants. The room was clean and quite spacious and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Overall good value for the money with a nice hot breakfast.

Breakfast was a good hot meal, much better than a continental breakfast. The staff member who checked us in did not welcome us and was basically rude. Conversely, the staff member that checked us out was very polite and thanked us for staying with them.

No oversized parking on site but across the street is available

Front desk agent was very aggressive and borderline harassing me because I didn’t know I had to pay a pet fee.Went to go grab food and left my phone charging in the room. When I got back I noticed a couple of missed calls from a number I didn’t recognize and no voicemail. Not to long after I got a call from front desk saying if I had a dog with me,I said yes and wasn’t aware I had to pay a fee.I was told I had to go to the front desk to film out a form and pay the fee.I decided to shower before I went and I could he the phone going off.He kept calling even as I was walking out my door to go fill out the form.It was honestly unnecessary because I told him I would head over in a bit.I didn’t know it was something urgent.Other than that breakfast could be better and rooms need to be deep cleaned.
- 4/5
Well tended, varied, and tasty breakfast. The room was comfortable, quiet, and mercifully dark. Slept very well.
- 5/5
Nice rooms, good breakfast, nice stsff
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
Older property. Shows it's age, but overall a gentle place to stop over.
- 5/5
Housekeeping staff were excellent. Loved being able to have fresh coffee throughout the day.
- 2/5
Our sheets were dirty upon arrival.
- 4/5
Staff was very professional and friendly
- 5/5
Very nice location with shopping and dining options nearby. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable if a bit hard. Breakfast was great; the attendant was on top of keeping everything filled and hot. Wide array of hot and cold foods; something for everyone.
- 3/5
Positive things about this hotel were that it was convenient to I-5, the staff was pleasant, the room had been cleaned well, I enjoyed a swim, and the breakfast was good. Negative things were that the room was dark and its layout was poor so two guests were constantly having to crawl around one another. During the night, the building occasionally hummed/rattled which awakened us; and we could hear the interstate. The mattress was so-so. I don't know whether they use surge pricing, but I know that it was full the night we stayed there and it was expensive (approximately $380)--way too high considering the quality and amenities.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Food close, comfortable beds, very clean, breakfast was a lot better than most. Staff were friendly. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
We loved to stay a night in this Hotel, room was clean, grate brackfast, grate staff!

Im traveling with my parents who do not have Hotels.com and do not know how this works. My mom wanted to use another program to capture the points. (My parents are in their late 80's.) I wish the person behind the desk had spoken to ger kindly, had taken the time to listen to her, and connect a little, to explain why he could not or would not do that. He was very dismissive and her feelings were hurt. When you get older, it can be tough to communicate. We should all treat older folks kindly, take the time, and hear them. They really have a lot to offer and getting older can be pretty tough.
- 3/5
Sound insulation is bad. The traffic outdoor is noisy.
- 4/5

Location cleanliness
- 5/5
The hotel was close to several restaurants. The staff were great. Nice breakfast.
- 5/5
Great stay for our family on a road trip
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean. Great location just off the highway. Restaurants nearby. Nice pool and hottub.
- 5/5
I was travelling alone for a family event. I felt very safe there. The hot breakfast was very good
- 5/5
A comfortable stay. For a hotel with normal service, it is a pleasant stay. This is one stay of many stays throughout a few years. Very dependable room comfort and condition.
- 4/5
Overall, you’ll get the slightly dated, but clean Best Western experience. We didn’t use the pool but everything seemed to work and was clean. We visited for a few days with friends in the area for Thanksgiving and would stay again because of the clean room and ok value for the money. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great king bed. All amenities provide. Responsive helpful staff.
- 5/5
Quiet clean room. Accomodating ehen traveling with dogs and very polite staff.
- 5/5
We came in late and got our room easily. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet.. The breakfast had lots of options.
- 2/5
The room was very clean. Beware of room 100. It is not in the main part of the building. The person behind the desk had to walk me to my room which meant going outside, between some cars and around the side of the hotel. I made the reservation, traveling on my own, with the assumption that I would have an interior room so that I would feel safer. The attendant informed me that I had my own patio, as a joke because right outside the room was the pet area for hotel guests. If I hadn’t already driven 9 hours, I would have gone to a different hotel. The room adjoins to offices or hotel storage so I could also hear the staff go in and out to retrieve items. Bad form to imply the room is like all the others online when it is most definitely not… and then charge the same amount as the standard room!!
- 4/5
Good hotel but breakfast choices lacking.
- 4/5
Bummer hot tub was being serviced
- 3/5
I reserved a regular room instead they gave me a handicap room without asking。 the bathroom fan is noisy. Breakfast quality was the worst I experienced with BW.
- 1/5
I paid $817 for 2 nights stay and the shower had hair on the walls and the breakfast bar had no bacon either day and no potatoes neither and when asked to have more they said that Best Western was downsizing their breakfast and the sausage, yogurt, water, almond milk were not restocked for the last 45 minutes of the time breakfast was to be served. The manager Molly got snotty when I asked for a discount due to the big reduction in foods provided for breakfast……way overpriced and terrible breakfast and service by the manager
- 5/5
Quiet and clean, good breakfast
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The place is just sort of shabby.
- 5/5
Clean and nice stay
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent, however the Hotels.com experience was terrible. I booked through the Hotels.com app while travelling and immediately received a confirmation email. I arrived at the hotel 2 hours later and they had not been informed of my booking. The desk clerk was very helpful and kept refreshing online to see if it came through but no luck. The helpline said 15 min wait but it was more like an hour. I finally booked and paid for the room directly at the hotel as we were tired from a 9 hour drive. When I eventually got through to support at Hotels.com they did at least give me a refund. Top marks for Best Western Cottage Grove Inn and a complete fail fro Hotels.com
- 4/5
Staff was pleasant. Parking was tight.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff
- 4/5
I've stayed here four or five times, and it's always very nice with a very good breakfast.
- 5/5
When we arrived it was late so i wasn't sure about the srea.....BUT what a surprise when we entered the building Robert stopped what he was doing and welcomed us with a sincere smile and greeting......he filled us in on the amenities and breakfast info.....there should be.more Roberts ......the room was a good size and comfortable for the night....breakfast was amazing....i hope as we continue our roadtrip alll Best Westerns compare....
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating and the room was clean, just right for a one or two night stay. Very quiet. No elevator but at least they had luggage carts!
- 5/5
Nice and quiet
- 4/5
Everything is good 💯💯💯💯😊😊😊😊
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
It was a short trip for a family reunion and wanted to go watch the races afterwards and didn't want to drive back home at 11pm back to our home town..
- 5/5
Nice staff, great breakfast!
- 3/5
It was a typical BW, price not bad and in an area where we could see some covered bridges. Small older town, so quaint downtown. Ate at Jack Sprats and had a wonderful waitress, good food and helpful tips on the area and wineries. Limited hotels in the area and Creswell is about the same so BW might be your best choice. Was looking forward to visiting King Estates Winery from reviews but very disappointed as the wines they had for their flights were not their wines. So if you want to taste their wines, call and make sure their pouring theirs!!
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet place! I did have one observation and that was the clerk the morning I left, did not look professional with his baseball on backwards. Not a big deal, but the thought ran thru my head. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
- 4/5
I was here for OU graduation. The only thing that was a challenge was parking. The lot is small due to the fact that it shares area with a Carl's Jr. So if you check in late or arrive in the day, leave and come back later in the evening, finding a parking space may be difficult. Everything else was good - staff was great and accommodating.
- 4/5
The complimentary breakfast had many options to choose from, and the hotel staff was attentive and replenished items when they ran out.
- 5/5
Like how late the pool open
- 4/5
All that was fine. What I was a little disappointed in was the breakfast. The oatmeal was bad and the eggs were marginal. Otherwise everything was fine.
- 5/5
Nice grassy plot to walk the dog. Great breakfast. Clean and comfortable. We’ll comeback.
- 3/5
Too expensive for a room with sofa that i hadnt requested. Homeless on the street corner. Too many fast food places all around. Hard to get in and out of parking due to traffic congestion. Will never stay there again. Location sucks.
- 4/5
The room had great space and necessities (ie fridge, table, tv). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good hotel breakfast. The hotel could use some updates, but it was clean.
- 5/5
Glad to find teabag and ceramic cup in room as well as real glass glasses! Noisy heater… but I was so tired from driving it did not wake me up!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. The employee who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She was able to adjust our stay with our penalties or the extra cost hotels.com wanted to add. The room was clean and the free breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The parking close to the hotel was hard for a large car to fit but the lot shares space with the surrounding business a little bit further away. All in all it was a pleasant stay!
- 4/5
For the area and the cost it worked well. Service was great. Bed was too firm for us but that’s a preference thing. It is a little out dated but very clean. This was for a business trip on an unusually busy week for the area. Close to tons of food and a coffee stand which was good for a business trip
- 5/5
Nice and quiet
- 5/5
Super great service.
- 5/5
Friendly check in
- 4/5
This was a very convenient pet friendly hotel to stop at for the night near the I-5. Comes with free breakfast too!
- 4/5
Free parking. Bathroom cramped, old and small. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Convenient location to Oregon University (20 min drive)
- 5/5
The staff was so helpful, really liked the room size. Breakfast and coffee was delish.
- 5/5
I loved how breakfast was served till 10 made us not have to rush to get up and get down there to eat the waiter in breakfast area was super friendly and helpful
- 4/5
restaurants not available unless you eat fast food
- 4/5
Good stay!
- 5/5
Staff was very courtrous
- 4/5
spider in our room. sink was exposed and not behind closed door like a normal bathroom
- 5/5
Unusually friendly and efficient staff. Close to the freeway but very quiet. We will stay here again and recommend it highly.
- 3/5
I feel for the price we were charged that they would have had the amenities, rooms and hot tub maybe updated a little better for that kind of price we paid! The staff was friendly when I checked in even though the system was down. Also the continental breakfast was not open until 6:30 but they let us grab a few things before we left at 6am.
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Staff was amazing!
- 5/5
The breakfast area was small but it was delicious. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not, I would recommend bringing your own. AC works really well. We stayed across from the elevator & ice machine & it is pretty loud in the room. Central location by lots of restaurants, gas stations, & coffee. For a budget-friendly hotel I would stay again!
- 5/5
Great stay. Staff was very knowledgeable about area.
- 5/5
It smells dirty. Q
- 5/5
Very clean. Staff polite. Family and pet friendly.

I would give him 5 stars 👍

It was very convenient. You need to update the address in Apple Maps however. It takes you to the wrong side of the street.

As an early riser, I was glad to know the Dutch Bros. next door was 24 hours.
- 5/5
great staff
- 3/5
Room was very small, the bed took up most of the room. Hard for two people to move around and get ready in the morning.
- 4/5
Was fine for what we needed.
- 5/5
The front desk staff person was friendly, professional and helpful. I was impressed by the cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
- 3/5
The room was really small for being advertised as an “accessible” unit.
- 5/5
Clean and family and dog friendly
- 5/5
Bathroom could have used some paint.. Havent tried the breakfast yet, but from the looks of the breakfast room it should be pretty good.
- 4/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
Jack at the front desk is an exceptional staff member!
- 5/5
Great staff and awesome breakfast as part of your stay! Right off the highway and close to some good restaurants.
- 5/5
Spacious rooms with fabulously comfy king bed. Fluffy towels and again oil toiletries. Waffles and sausage for breakfast. But oj wasn’t working.
