Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County by IHG

Conveniently freeway & airport (SNA) close and South Coast Plaza shopping center. Covered & open parking, breakfast air airport shuttle included, McDonalds’s next door. Rooms are large, bath is small with tub & curtain vs. glass walk-in door.

Parking was not good and only access to building was the front door.

Every thing was amazing

The hotel was undergoing renovation and was dirty in the public areas. The hotel staff did not refund my incidental deposit and I did not have any extra room charges. I had to follow up several times with the hotel and dispute the charge with my credit card company.

I was charged $40 For 1 glass of merlot and mini crab cakes during happy hour. Please make it clear that the parking pass needs to be displayed or else the carbcan be subject to towing. Also please the parking pass charge clear upon check in, i.e.: Total cost of daily parking and inform customers about mandatory display of parking pass required on the vehicle dash or vehicle will be towed. .

Beds are super comfortable. Everything was great.

The staff was very` accomodating and `helpful. The window to our room was filthy, a shame because it overlooked the pool area.

For the past 5 months we have spent about a week each month at this Crown Plaza. We keep coming back because we like it that much. Very nice accommodations at a reasonable price and friendly staff (especially the restaurant staff at breakfast!). This visit was a disappointment. We came back one evening at 9pm and were locked out of our room. When we went to the front desk they told us we had to change rooms because they needed to do some maintenance to our room. We were in the middle of a nine day stay and were very tired. Gathering up all our belongings and moving them to another room was not what I wanted to do. At the very least some advance notice would have been nice. I spoke to two managers and while they were apologetic, it did not make this any less inconvenient. You may ask, what did I want from them? I guess I just thought this was a really bad practice and wanted them to acknowledge that and consider doing business differently in the future.

Building is a little run down on the outside but did not affect our stay at all. Would return again!

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 20 years. My Dad was evacuated and they went out of their way to accommodate all of us. I can’t say enough about the praise they should receive.

$31 a night to park in a regular lot with no valet… just because they can. Hotel is okay otherwise nothing special. Get the included breakfast but order off the menu not the buffet

Pleasant staff. They checked on you throughout your stay via text. Convenient area to freeways and quick drive to the beaches. The rooms are clean and maintained well. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable with fresh, soft sheets. Slept very good. Get a room facing the inside courtyard because street traffic is loud throughout the night having large windows. Shower head was exceptional with really good water pressure. All positive experiences. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. The gym was small but manageable for a quick workout. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

We had a very good experience, this is our first time at this hotel, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would like to give a shout out to CYPRIAN at the front desk, who was wonderful to my daughter and I at making sure that we were taken care of throughout our three nights stay. Effron was also amazing! Rooms were clean, perfect location, close to restaurants and cute little coffee shops, the mall, the beach. I definitely will go back and stay here again. Sidenote, bring your water bottle and they have filtered water machines combined with the ice maker. It’s better than the old school icemakers. The saved me from having to buy bottled water.

Toilet was leaking. Room service is only once every four nights. Hotel needs to be better maintained and upgraded.

The first room we got didn't have any water pressure in the shower. The second room the bathroom smelled. The elevator broke down. And not all of the TV channels worked. They have a texting system, but it doesn't work correctly because every time I answered they did not answer me. The staff was however, very pleasant.

After a long drive from Vegas. Decided to stay at this hotel and location. Coz it was closer to all the places i would like to check out the next day at check out. But, this hotel it needs some upgrading or renovating going. Coz its not as nice as other crowne plaza hotel I have stayed in. This location needs a renovation. The water pressure in the shower was bad. There was a mold smell in the room. The bathroom cabinets was all broken. You can see that it needs to be upgrade. But i did not complain about it since it was just for a night. But it needs attention.

I requested cleaning services and left tips by the TV. I booked 2rooms for 4days 3nights . They didn’t clean either of my rooms at all. The bathtub clogged when showering, staff came to fixed the 2nd night.But still clogged and dirty water came back from the drain. Staff came to fixed the 3rd day and water drains ok but slowly. Don’t like to deal these things in my vocation.

The room is standard, with drawbacks including bed linens that smelled like BO and dried urine on the bathroom floor. I also heard other guests bathroom activities. But the toiletries by Apotheke were a nice touch.

The lady that checked us in was having isslues with finding us the accessable room we reserved. I told her we would be happy as long as the shower had bars. I was wrong. The toilet was a lowboy, Without any assist bars I had to finagle my walker into that tight space and use it to get up off the toilet.

We got there at 5 pm. Check in is supposed to be at 3 pm. They didn’t have our rooms clean and ready and were informed we had to wait a while to get our rooms. I have two toddlers who were tired. The ac vent was broken and leaking on the carpet. Too bad I had our clothes in a pile and everything was soaking wet.

I can't share much cause I stayed there one night. I was just passing thru to see some friends. Was convenient cause my friends live in Costa Mesa and property was close to the freeway.

The a/c in my first room didn’t work so I was given a different room. One elevator didn’t work at all, the other elevator was extremely slow, I used the stairs mostly but the day that I went to check out I had my luggaGe to carry so had to take the elevator- waited for a few minutes while listening to it go up and down but never stop. For the price I wish there was a breakfast buffet included -

They demanded a 100.00 deposit over the room fee I had already paid. Expedia should have said something about that. The fee paid was not the total cost. The deposit was insulting.

The carpet was damp - mostly noticed between bath and bed. It was discernable because dry areas could be identified. I called the front desk when discovered but too late at night for me to move. The morning staff didn't know about this condition which was concerning. No compensation offered. Also, there was a hole in the pouff which should have been replaced. Made the place look seedy. In general, the staff was exceptionally friendly so that's a big plus.

While it was a comfortable stay, my only concern was paying 33 dollars for parking. Usually business have to monitor parking for shared parking with other businesses. In the particular situation there’s absolutely no reason I should have been charged for parking.

Nice hotel in a great location near many restaurants and the Anti-Mall. Rooms were spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the busy street out front. Starting at around 6am we could hear Harley Davidsons and loud cars reving their engines, so the windows couldn't block out some of the street noise.

Air conditioner in our room was super loud, had 2 turn it off, but then we were uncomfortable due it being warm in our room.

We booked the room for 3 days .The second day there we asked to have someone come clean the room while we was gone to knotts berry farm.Well when we got back the room hadn’t been cleaned and we was gone most of the day .We went to the front desk again and asked if they would send someone to clean the room and bring coffee while we took the kids to wat.Lol ya okay sure .Nope they still hadn’t came to clean it to when i went back down i told her we still haven’t got the room cleaned like we ask in the morning and then around 3:30 in the afternoon..She laughed and said let me check on that.I told her nope never mind don’t worry about it and we wouldn’t be staying there again and we stay at a lot of hotels .She laughed .The lady’s at the front desk was rude and unprofessional .Jessica in the tavern was very nice very helpful very sweet .We ordered food and drinks from her .She made sure we had every thing needed and was very kind.that she was the only good thing at the hotel .

Good stay for a night! Would stay again. The room was nice and modern. Parking was easy. Missing a star because of questionable stains on carpet & only one set of working elevators. The carpet stains must have been a hard stain to get out but wasn’t comforting to see. Looked like someone had tummy issues the way it was trailing.

They don't clean every day they clean for stay o don't like i don't recommend this hotel the fuking pandemic is over 5 year ago no fare for clients

We got stuck in the elevator right when we got there for and the phone inside didn’t work. Luckily they were able to get the doors open but all their elevators were broken and they didn’t even apologize or say anything after.

Perfect place to stay , close enough to beaches, and everything else needed.

Room faced main busy street so it was noisy with car passing by. Comfortable bed and clean. AC is intermittently running in the room

Alexanda. Who stated he was the supervisor of front desk, delivered unprofessionally check in services, and we paid 3 Star Hotel price, but got service even worse than motel. There was dirty bed with stained sheets. The worst part is him, who was the supervisor of the front desk at the night, told us that he was not room attendant, it’s not his responsibility for cleaning rooms. That’s why no one cleaned the room before we checked in.

We very much enjoyed our stay! From the moment we got there we were greeted with a lovely upgrade and drink coupons to celebrate our anniversary! Amazing staff and front receptionist! Would definitely be back again if ever around the area!

The hotel is beautiful! Very clean. The pool is heated. Nice people stay here. Great surrounding area and not far from beach 15-20 minutes.

Nice room recently renovated, excellent outdoor pool, good breakfast, convenient shop in lobby, great parking, nice lobby area. Loved having filtered water/ice machine and washer/drier.

Service was great. Clean rooms and nice bar on property. Elevator was old and hard to get working. But overall great location and great service
