Overall, the stay was acceptable for a single night, but based on the property’s condition, I chose a different accommodation for my next visit.

The rooms were filthy the management was horrible,

For the price it was okay but the towels weren’t properly washed, they had makeup stains. The shower looked like it was washed and the microwave was “new” it was full of rust on the inside. The fridge was okay it did keep the water cold but it was tilted, not leveled. The table and chairs weren’t cleaned, the windows didn’t have any lock. The air conditioner was pretty good and the bed was comfortable enough, there was not hot tub or tub in the room only a shower. The bed and pillows also had stains, the tv was pretty good and big enough for movies to watch. But they didn’t specify there would be a $200 deposit fee, the guy at the desk didn’t even ask me just took my ID and card and ran it through. I’ll be checking my bank to make sure I get my money back.

Sandy the desk clerk was awesome. Then I met Max, who apparently runs the place and was explaining some remodeling that was going on. It was very helpful and very friendly. Definitely want to go back there. Highly recommend it The Wi-Fi/Internet could’ve been a little more responsive and available

The absolute best place I've stayed in a while. If you want big nice beds, nice bathroom and shower, plus a big tv. Then you should choose this spot. It's in the middle of everywhere you need to go in the OC too.

Other than that - I won't come back to this hotel because they didn't really invest enough in laundry. The bedding, pillow case, sheets, towels all had stains. I even went to the front desk to get new bedding and towels and they still had stains all over. Then at the hallway - it was just dirty. FYI - there is a Irish pub attached to the motel. So don't expect that it would be a quiet place before 1 or 2am.

The rooms were nice, clean, and modern. The pool are was closed down, but I assume it will get back up. Nice location.

Room was OK. There were long black hairs on the floor on both sides of our singular king mattress but none on the bed. We both have brown hair. The inside of the fridge in the room was left partially dirty. The room itself was non-smoking but other guests were allowed to smoke outside right outside of our door. The TV was big which was nice. They also require a $200 refundable deposit once you get there which seems high for a motel of this quality. Not really any special ammenities, the pool was inoperable from what I could see.

This hotel has been recently renovated and was much nicer than it was when I stayed just a few years ago. The lobby was completely different and modernized. Staff was available and friendly. The room was also nearly entirely updated, including tile flooring and bathroom.

The entire room was fully renovated and done well! The kitchenette with a table to eat at was cool and the vanity area was also nice with lightning etc. I liked the fact there were multiple places to eat at instead of on your bed as I had children with me so it was great! The tv was upgraded as well with apps to use for Netflix etc. Parking was tight spots were small and having an suv was a challenge to find parking where you didn’t have to worry about squeezing out of your door or having someone dent your car with theirs. I got back late from the beach and there was no more parking available so I had to wait for someone to leave and take their spot up front away from the room.

Parking was tough on Friday night because the hotel shares the property with a restaurant/bar. Definitely a no frills motel.

I rented the room on 05/22/26 because we live on the evacuation zone. They did not let us back to house on Saturday morning, so I called to make reservation for another night. They charged us almost double when we checked out without telling us the price was different. They knew that we were in the terrible situation, but they still decided to scam us … stay away from this hotel …

Though the room was well kept, I cannot say the same for the external ambience and cleanliness. Though the renovation is ongoing, they could have at least kept the stairs and the walkway clean. Staff were very friendly.

Gnats in the room, sour/ musty smell coming from the AC, water did not stay warm when showering.

The rooms are really nice I would give it 5 stars but they didn’t have a pool & google showed a pool. Also we had a bottom room & the upstairs room was extremely loud in the morning.

Do not stay here if you are sensitive to dust. This place gave me a terrible allergy after a two night stay. I was left with a migraine and clogged nose for 4 days after. I would not recommend.

Hotel rooms are spacious and updated. But we had ALOT of cockroaches in our room. On the bed, desk, counters, shower. Everywhere. There was a masssssive spider on the bathroom mirror. The bedding had stains on them. Just looked dirty. Pool was closed. Extremely thin walls!

Great location for the O.C. Fairgrounds. The rooms are newly remodeled and very nice. They are continuing to fix up the outside, so don't judge a book by it's cover at the moment. The pool isn't available while the construction is going on.

ANTS. Hotel looks ghetto from the street and parking lot, but the rooms are surprisingly modern, and clean except for the ants. I didn’t see any other bugs besides ants. Stayed for 2 nights. Only noticed a few ants the first night (less than 5). Spilled a drop of juice near the sink the 2nd day. Thought I wiped it up good enough. Nope. After turning the lights back on at 11pm to use the bathroom, there were probably 50 ants on the countertop near the sink. I called the office, to ask for some kind of RAID or some bug spray to kill them. They didn’t have any. They offered to let me move rooms, but the only available room was near the loud bar. Instead, they offered to bring me some Lysol disinfectant wipes to wipe up the ants.

The room was full of ants, i told staff and they did nothing about it, i had to throw a bunch of candy and cookies in the trash because the ants had gotten into them. I even brought ants back with me home. The room also didn’t have a microwave like it advertised and they did nothing about it. It was overall horrible

Now that construction on this Inn has been completed it is transformed access completely. This is a quite place typically construction workers who have to get up early to work so bedtime is thankfully early for most guests. The only complaint I have is the damn bar next door that occaisonally releases drunks in the wee hours of the morning that are loud and obnoxious. Thankfully this doesn't happen regularily.

The room was great. Comfy bed and clean sheets. Location is close to everything you need from gas stations, a grocery store and to multiple restaurants. Property is well kept and parking lot was clean. Staff was helpful and polite. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed one night , found this place last minute as I was running the oc marathon the next day. Getting in was easy, everyone was nice. Did a late checkout and it was seamless. Very simple and easy . I kept my car there a little after the checkout and it was ok with them as I was getting a ride back to the hotel post race . Great hotel and staff. 5 stars . Clean as heck too!

Nice irish bar right next door but no noise, the pool was in repair , the room was the most beautiful room i ever stayed in, i took pictures for ideas to to do to my house, the room rate was extremely fair due to the quality of room you get including huge tv a fridge and microwave, amazing donut shop down the street, uce machine available, perfect 10 stay

Very clean, nice staff, parking, rooms updated and overall one of the more comfortable beds in a hotel I’ve stayed in, for a long while. The only con is that the walls are thin and we could hear people pacing at 6:30 am and the dance party outside at 12am. We were on the bottom floor, unsure how those on the top floor faired. I’d stay there again, but just bring ear plugs.

First, they're renovating the rooms, however, when I pulled up there was a group of about 6-8 construction workers chillen at the bottom of the stairs, grilling and hanging out which led up to my room. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable especially because I was alone and they were making comments and looks. I ran straight to my room, and immediately got a call from the front desk agent Sandra offering to walk me to my car because she understood that it was uncomfortable and that "sometimes they stay here overnight too". Anyways, I decided to stay and just go out and get dinner and hole up in the apartment. I came back from dinner, by this time it was dark out which made it even more sketchy and uncomfortable. Multiple men were staying in the rooms with their doors wide open laying on beds, and congregating outside other rooms. When I got back to my room to take a shower there was no hot water! I called the front desk to asl about their eater heater and ended up just going down to the front desk myself and by this point I was done and requested my money and deposit back because I was leaving.

The hotel isn’t in a great location, and parking is quite limited. Amenities are minimal, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the rooms are clean and well-kept. Overall, it didn’t match how it was advertised—it felt more like an updated Motel 6 than what I expected.

I was not prepared for the noise during the day; they had workers renovating so trying to sleep in and get a nap in was hard. and I had bigfoot for an upstairs neighbor; he paced around for hours one day. It would have been nice to be informed when I was booking when it came to the noise/: But thank you to the front desk staff, you were very helpful and kind.

TV apps did not work

No wifi was available that night when we checked into the room. We were ok with our own phones. The room is great for us 3 people with a kitchen. It includes a countertop stove, a small-sized fridge, and a microwave, but they don't provide bowls, plates, pans & kitchen tools. For us, we're totally fine with that because we stayed a night for the spring break. They are still doing the remodel with the building and the front desk.

Hotel is being remodeled which is nice, rooms are nice, nothing too fancy, but still nice. My only real complaint is parking especially on the weekends, I was there for 3 nights, Thursday was no problem, but Friday and Saturday night was a nightmare, parking was no good, had to park along a tree line in a very tight in hope that nobody backed into my car, clearly between the hotel and pub, their parking lot cannot handle all the traffic. If parking was a non issue, Id have no complaints. My advise if you are staying there over a weekend make sure you are back at the hotel by 6pm to 7pm or parking is going to be a real problem.

The first night we stayed there, there was an ant infestation at the property. Ants were coming out of the wall and were in the beds. The apologized and moved us to another room. Ok, not their fault per se. My kids bring their personal blankets with them when we travel. We went to go wash them at the local laundromat. A woman ran in front of my car stopping us and accused me of stealing their blankets from the property. I explained these were our personal blankets from home and I was going to clean them. Next door was a bar that is attached to the hotel so suffice it to say, it was very loud on Friday night. The traffic is very intense and loud on the main road.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Cable did not work! The water does not get hot. And the WiFi did not work at all. Then I was lied to and assured it would be fixed so I wouldn’t leave and cancel my stay. They lied multiple times and did not want to refund or compensate me for the night I was basically forced into staying. I had to cut my trip short. When I tried to get compensation for the night they forced upon me they denied the request. I had to find somewhere else to stay and ended up paying basically double what I would have because it was short notice. OVERALL I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!!!!!!

They will keep your deposit for no reason

My husband I were in a bind and had to book last minute. Our original room was tarnished by a previous guest so Sandra took it upon herself to rebook us in an even better room. She worked with our third party to get us a discount when our amenities were ruined and she saved our family’s Easter vacation. She is exceptional at her job! We will definitely be making this our regular stay when we return to Anaheim.

Overall, the condition of the room was far below basic cleanliness standards. It did not feel welcoming or safe to stay in, and it seemed like there was a lack of attention to detail and proper housekeeping. I expected a clean and ready room upon arrival, but this experience was the complete opposite. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Definitely one of the best smaller hotels I’ve stayed at, the room tub was an amazing experience. Near everything you’d want to go to.

Remodeled rooms are excellent with comfortable king beds, and excellent bathroom elements. Exterior still in the middle of the property remodel, but have no doubt it will live up to how well they have done on the rooms themselves.

I notified the frint desk that next door there was a few men staying in one room who were very loud and hanging outside the room. The clerk said at 10pm they would be asked to be quiet. I called the clerk again at 1am that many men were out front yelling, sounded drunk and like there was an altercation and the clerk again stated he’d ask them to be quiet. Also on a first level room the room above was stomping around from 5am to 7am. I asked for a full or partial refund and was told the main manager would contact me and nobody did. I got no sleep and it seemed like an unsafe place to be.

They don’t have a coffee pot, iron or ironing board in the room or an ice machine on the property. If these are imported to you, well… there is a 7-11 next door, about a 1-2 minute walk.

Everything was great until my final night upstain there to other guests. I had a fight upstairs, and it's and they argued outside for at least an hour. No security or police wherever called and I missed a lot of sleep

Holding a $200 deposit for a few days at a 2 start property. Most travelers that stay here are 100% on a budget & the $200 deposit is a surprise when you arrive at the property. Needs to be stated on the listing & all the hotel sites . Most hotels in the same area are $50 to $100 released the minute you checkout. They did a minimal remodel on the rooms properly still looks like poop… Do better

The room itself was a refreshing upgraded modernly convenient space with apple work/ living space separate from the bed area. There were two separate desk areas with ample outlets to plug in that all included USB and USBC plugs in every outlet. There was various lighting for different areas for any need and even mirrors that light up in the bathroom and a separate mirror and makeup area with its own counterspace and chair. The kitchenette was awesome and in a separate room entirely with a cooktop sink fridge microwave and table to done at. Really put those corporate chain hotels to shame with the updated technology friendly and spacious amenities. Almost forgot to mention the very new 65 inch flat screen tv icing on the cake really. Well done friendly staff clean towels and linens I will be absolutelu be staying here again

We rented a jacuzzi room and there was NO HOT water to put in the jacuzzi,and NOT HOT showers, waste of money to spend on a jacuzzi room!

Room was clean and spacious with large comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water and plush towels in the bathroom. Walking distance to tavern, restaurants, 7-11, and Vons. Cleaning ladies also did a fine job every day. I recommend.

1) The room was clean. 2) However, the King bed suite that was given to us had a bathroom with a curtain (for disability) not what the pictures that we reserved for (glass door). 3) We asked the housekeeping for extra towels and the answer was no because we don’t have extra at the moment. It would have been nicer if she said we can stop by later and bring you some.

The remodeled rooms are very nice, the property is still under construction. This was my second visit and it was another amazing stay at the Costa Mesa Inn. I even went to the pub this time, fun mellow environment and everybody was nice.

The sheets, floor, and tables were all dirty. I complained and asked to get another room but front desk said they were fully booked that night. So I asked if I can get my room cleaned. They said no because there’s no housekeeping at night. I then asked for new sheets at least. I got new sheets and some of the sheets had blood stains on them. The next day they didn’t clean the room but the front desk did say they’ll give me a discount as an apology for my situation. I followed up on that discount and they said I would receive an email about that discount by the next day. I never got an e-mail and it’s been 1 week. What a poor way to treat a customer.

The reason for the 3 stars is for the fact that in order to get our refund back we almost felt paranoid and we have stayed in many hotels/motels and never felt that way. We were afraid to leave our towels on the floor after showering. We also found hair in the bedding and when we talked to the front desk he said we had to take them off and walk them over and get new ones and put them on ourselves. There was only One worker when we arrived to check in and we had to wait 30 minutes because the guy was on lunch. We made a late arrival and were exhausted and had to wait in our vehicle. The guy was nice though and not rude. The room was nice for what we paid for as well. They do have nicer blow dryers than most places I’ve been to.

The Front receptionist was amazing however they required a $200 dollar deposit. In the photos you can see where there is a microwave included in the room and when we received our rooms there was not one in there. and there was a pool however it had no water in it. They have the 60” smart tv but it doesn’t allow you to stream anything that was a big bummer since that was the reason why I rented this location.

The inside of the room was really modern. I didn’t get his name but the staff checking me in was very friendly. It’s right next to a pub and a 711 which is so convenient. They did hold a $200 deposit and was returned in 4 days. Nonetheless I would definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in cities and Vegas, the jacuzzi tub room was the best room I’ve ever stayed in! The front lounge, kitchen area, was huge and had a big mini fridge and stovetop along with a huge TV. The bed was comfortable and had another huge TV, the jacuzzi tub was very enjoyable. Also had a beautiful shower with good water pressure. A microwave would be nice, but still the best room I’ve ever stayed in! A lot of good places to eat nearby. A pub shares the same parking lot. Didn’t go there this time but will check it out next time. Highly reccomend!

Only issue was noise, and parking fills up quick. We could hear people above, to the side, and outside. Overall might stay again because the room was so good for the price. But if you are a light sleeper be cautious.

The room wasn’t OK condition. It looked really nice. At first. I got the hot tub and the hot tub not only did it not work. The water wouldn’t stay hot more than five minutes so I didn’t get the hot tub experience, but the staff was courteous and the property really needs to be cleaned up a lot of trash around there but inside the room, you wouldn’t know that they look like that on the outside.

Horrible property. Completely under construction. Front desk lady upon checkout was rude and argumentative. She claimed we permanently damaged a towel because of my brown makeup…. It washes out like it does at every hotel. Then she stormed away from us.

This is without a doubt probably the nicest Inn/hotel/motel I've visited in a very, very long time. Probably the best one in years or at least in all of the California ones I've visited. The room was beautiful, modern, and very VERY clean. Simply walking around it was fun to look at. Staff was nice, easy to navigate, and hassle free. I will gladly return if I get the chance to.

I hope all the above will be addressed in 3 months from 12/23/2025, Checkin staff was friendly & fast but parking spaces were very limited due to large truck with very long trailer blocking 8 parking spaces, only small sedan can parked there. Parking was free so much appreciated, trade off for shady outdoor appearances

Arrived with my kids around 9pm and there was no real office to check into as it said they were remodeling so there was a makeshift one in a room where you checked in at the window. We waited for a while as no one was there. Called the number several times and no one answered. I spoke to another guest waiting and they said they had been waiting over an hour for someone and no one showed up. We had waited a significant amount of time and no one ever showed up. There wasn’t even a sign saying if they were on lunch or when they were planning to return. Had to find another place to stay last minute. I reached out to hotels.com to help get a refund and hotel said they wouldn’t do it as they had people working.

The room had obviously been remodeled recently as in completely gutted and redone. It was beautiful, very clean, very comfortable, very spacious. The property was still under renovation so the front office was temporarily in one of the rooms, the pool and other areas were closed while being remodeled but we didn't mind as that is a necessary transition while remodeling which they were clearly putting a lot of effort and money into. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be staying there again in the future. Highly recommend!

There were containers of stagnant water left out in the open. The pool which was advertised was not only empty but the hot tub was completely dug up out to the ground. When I arrived my window was left open with no screen in it. I found hair in my sheets and in the bathroom.... Gross

Staff courteous

Check-in had a strict policy of their 3pm check-in, I arrived at 2pm and was told to come back at 3pm due to room not ready. When I returned and got to my room at 3pm, I noticed there was no amenities in my room; no soap, no shampoo, no coffee or coffee maker. I asked the housekeeper that was cleaning next door for some soap and shampoo, she obliged me with 3 tiny soaps and 2 shampoo packets. She told me I had to go to front desk for coffee. The front desk apologized and said would send maintenance to my room with the coffee. Maintenance worker arrives and tells me that I was "out of luck, we don't have anymore". I said "what do you mean out of luck" he just shrugged his shoulders at me. I told him then I would like to get half off my room then, he told me to go to go to front desk, before I could leave my room the housekeeper grabbed the one out of the room she was cleaning and gave it to me with some coffee. Thank you housekeeping for acting quickly. The room looks like they tried to remodel but the bathroom was very strange, it looked like the whole room was a shower with a toilet in it, there was no separation from the shower to toilet, all shower water poured over to toilet, I had to put towels down to keep the area dry. There is also a trick to turning on the tv, there is a button you need to push under the tv to activate the remote. I would strongly recommend paying a little extra to stay elsewhere and avoid this place at all costs.

When we arrived, the place looked run down and sketchy. It turned out that they are going through renovation, but the area is a nice area with lots of shops and eat options. The community is nice. The room is modernly upgraded and spacious. It is a basic accommodation but comfortable and clean. I believe it will be a nice accommodation once renovation is done.

Overall it was a good stay, the only complaint that I had was the at night the smell of weed was very strong around the parking

staff was nice, room was clean. construction was not mentioned at time of booking, so surely some amenities were not available, pool etc...The most annoying thing was what i assume was construction work above my room, pounding, thumping etc all day from morning until evening - no sleeping in or going to bed early possible! sounded like several people running wine sprints back and forth right above me.

The room exceeds the way the inn looks from the outside. The inn was under construction, so there was a lot going on, but the check in was smooth and staff was courteous. Once we got our room, it was like being in a different world. Room was spotless, smelled good, and it seemed so much newer than the hotel itself. Overall it was good.

The new rooms are nice inside. The outside is another story. It’s a filthy job site with construction trash and worker trash. Some of the workers stay in adjacent rooms and they are slobs. Trash, cigarette butts, drywall mud tracks.

2) I called the reception to report that the hot water ran out while filling the jetted tub. The response that it’s because a lot of people are using the hot water in the building because it’s cold outside is absolutely unacceptable. Do you really think people are that stupid? You should refund us since we paid for a room with the tub and the hot water kept us having to wait 3hrs to fill it. And once filled, the bubbles were forming this thick BROWN foam on top, absolutely disgusting. Seriously? Please reach out to me for a refund.

WiFi is reliable for zoom meetings if you have plenty of those! Rooms are for sure aesthetic, and there’s a bar onsite to blow off some steam after a long day. Highly recommend this spot!

The room was clean but one of the towels was stained. Staff was very courteous and accommodating.

No phone to contact staff. Check in was in one of the rooms of the hotel. Construction mess everywhere. No ice machine that worked. Room was remodeled, but, did not have a coffee maker, clothes closet, dresser drawers or hooks or hangers to hang towels or clothes. I would not stay there again until the remodeling is complete. The price of the room ($108) I thought was too high for all the negatives encountered.

After reading reviews I booked this Inn. While it’s not the employee’s fault, it was not apparent ahead of time that the property is going thru renovation. While the upgrades on the rooms are nice , big TV’ nice flooring comfortable beds, nice rain showers with glass doors. But the office to check in is under renovation , I came in late at night and had trouble finding where to check in. There was an older man wearing a mask who seemed to be on the lookout to direct ones where to check in, but there wasn’t clear signage and not professional looking and not what I was expecting as an older woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice, I would have felt better if I knew what to expect

10 stars! Room was all brand new and spotless. They are in the process of remodeling and I stayed in a new room. Very nice staff at check in and my stay was perfect.

It would have been nice to know ahead of time this place was u see construction. Online the pictures look beautiful for a newly remodeled hotel in the area at that price. But it was a mess. No pool open, which if it was, it’s very small. Their lobby to check in was a room set up with a desk. The rooms inside are nice and remodeled, the beds are hard and not that comfortable and we didn’t have a comforter or anything just a thin blanket on top. It seems we were given a room not totally finished. There was no closet or drawers or anywhere to put our clothes. We had a bed, bathroom, tv and fridge. Others in our party did have closets and blankets on the bed but we didn’t beside sheets. The outside is old and rundown and the wood up the stairs feels like it’s breaking. Be aware of the mess before you book. Not sure when construction will be completed.

Definitely not kids safe, there were men drinking and smoking every night even though the policy clearly says no smoking plus all of second floor walkway is old. Also, do not recommend because I was charged all of deposit for a stain that can be easily removed.

Good economical stay.

There was no hot water for the jet tub at all. It only feels like an inch up each time the hotel staff was not interested in fixing it. Also someone had peed in the hide a sofa and close it up so that it stunk and then splashed all over whenever the bed was open Again. Staff did not care about it.

Great stay

Room was absolutely fabulous, totally renovated. Bathroom superb with nice towels. It didn’t have a hairdryer, and unfortunately, when I realized it was not present, I was not in a position to go to the front desk to ask for one. Excellent front desk staff, accommodating and very clean overall. The property is under a major renovation so I look forward to a return visit to give it a five star.

Brand new rooms

The room was just remodeled so I think they did a great job. Of course still going through construction so that's where the negative is. It didn't bother me at all and not having a pool didn't bother me either. The location is great everything's walking distance I used to live in the area so the convenience way out did any inconveniences.

this hotel came straight out of my nightmares, the rooms have been renovated recently apparently but the exterior desperately need some work done, also no point of having renovations made if the rooms are filthy. would never stay again and absolutely don’t recommend it to anyone else.

The hotel is extremely dirty in all areas, reception, room and common areas. I had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but only managed to stay one.

The room was very comfortable, clean and cozy. Once they get all the remodeling done, it's going to be lovely! Note that there is no elevator, so if you have someone with mobility impairment, I would recommend you request a ground-level room when you make your reservation, since a good portion of the rooms are unavailable due to the remodel.

Final review this was a great option. From the outside the Costa Mesa Inn could use a little work, but the rooms were surprisingly well done. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in a hotel and a great shower. It does seem as if architectural students From Europe design this place, but never slept in it. The amount of LED lights is so bright it looks like a hydroponic grow lab. There are 20 electrical outlets in the room and zero in the bathroom and there’s not one hook for a wet towel. That being said, this was excellent value and I would easily stay here again

Room was amazing, stove stop didn’t work but we didn’t even expect to have one so we were ok with it, spacious, if you use a gaming system they make it very easy to connect to the tv, deposit was 200$ but was back in account in less than 6 hours after check out which was amazing! Will be coming back.

The walls are paper thin. I can hear the person upstairs walk around, turn off the lights, run the water, EVERYTHING. On top of that you have a 70inch tv that runs on 480p with no smart tv functionality. Couldnt sleep because the person above was walking around the whole night and doing whatever. Worst experience ever.

Empty pool, incomplete construction, litter, questionable individuals lurking about, etc. The location is convenient, as it is near freeways and eateries and markets. The girl at the front desk was polite and helpful. The 200 dollar security hold is a bit steep considering the establishment as a whole. I'd stay again. Hopeful they complete / address the appearance of the exterior.

Property is Under cinstruction

This is the 2nd year we stay here, we come cuz its close to the OC fair grounds, see you guys next year for sure, love what you guys are doing to the place. Maybe the pool will be open next year?

When arrived staff was not at window sign stated be back in 20 min but returned 50 min later. When arrived to my room it was dirty and forgot to clean manager stated. Manager than argued with me and hung on the phone. So house keeper stated will clean room but never was cleaned. I had a very bad experince and staff was not professional or helpful at all. I will never be back to this place and do not recommend.

Renovation looks good.

Hotel staff was very friendly, we had an issue with our key card malfunctioning because of the door battery was low. The manager came very fast to help us fix it and let us in. Would definitely stay again if around the area.

Cancelled trip

The place is under renovation and the pool is not open. WI-FI is spotty. Aside from the outside area looking a mess, the room we stayed in was clean and functional.

In the middle of a remodel so the parking was really limited & overall you felt like you were staying in a construction zone (which we were, so……. take this w/a grain of salt). Did have issues with the TV in both rooms. I’m anxious to return when the upgrades are over to see how much better it is.

The front desk was amazing but if somene is above you, you can hear everything the are doing. We had issues with the room above at night before bed and when they got up. We thought they were going to fall down on us. I loveeeee the newly remodeled rooms. Just missing a phone in the rooms. Showers and led bathroom mirror lights were amazing

I want to start with the people in the front desk are helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in for 3 nights 4days was very nice but the cleanliness was off in the bathroom. I liked my stay but we were next to the linen closet and man that door didn’t sound good when you are passed out. It’s sounds like someone’s trying to get in your room. The room are been remodeled. There is not a lot of parking because they’re remodeling the entire place section by section. One more thing that got on my last nerves was the people from the bar, entitled and park in the parking lot of the Inn.

The room was new and clean, the staff was friendly and super nice, however only half of our latch lock was installed and it felt uncomfortable. It was quiet during the weekend, however half of the motel is under construction (for now). One of the clean towels had a dirty foot print inside.

Terrible experience. The parking lot was extremely dirty. The room lacked even a microwave or a hair dryer. A $200 holding deposit was required for a one-night stay, which was held for two weeks. Also, bugs inside the room around the bathroom sink.

Great place to stay especially for the price. Room looked newly remodeled and very clean. I was very impressed got the King jacuzzi sweet for a very reasonable price. Bed was firm which is what I need for my back. Jacuzzi jets were nice and strong. I would definitely stay again. Shower pressure wasnt as I like but other than that no complaints.

When i booked online i personal did not see anything about a 200 deposit so it was a inconvenience for me and my kids took away from my trip money and it also said they had a pool no water in it or no breakfast and the property looked under maintenence i love the style in the room but i will not book there agian it sucks .

Room was very clean but also instantly humid when the ac turns off so our choice was cold or sweaty. The room was very clean and modern. Huge TV with an easy connect for our fire stick but they run a vpn on their WiFi so we couldn’t open Hulu but the other streaming services worked. Staff was great but no ice machine and no phone in the room. Towels are above par for a motel so that was also nice.

No kitchenware (pots, dishes, etc) available so kitchenette not useful. Floor not fully clean. Room not ready till 30 minutes late. No coffee maker. Staff nice but overworked.

The "Inn" was under major remodeling, I wish I knew before booking.

Stayed here several times over the years and it's been okay. This time the property was in shambles due to remodeling. Boxes EVERYWHERE blocking parking spaces and walk ways. This should have been disclosed when I made the reservation. I'm sure the remodel will probably come out nice but I probably won't stay here again and risk it.

Then we entered the very nice newly renovated, spotless room. The room has light colored wood looking tile floors not those nasty hotel room carpets. I even walked around without my sandals-which I never do at hotels. But like I mentioned it was spotless. We went to Patrick’s Pud right next door to the inn when we returned after enjoying the sunset and dinner at the beach. It was great! We will definitely reserve at this inn the next time we go to Newport Beach, hopefully it will be all done. 😊

The new renovation is fabulous, my husband loved the 85" tv. Didnt like the location of the room because the bar next door was loud and near a stairwell so we will make a note of that. The upstairs guests stomped around loudly for a few hours so next time we will stay up stairs, away from a stairwell and the bar. Great room, great new staff.

Friendly staff. The upgraded rooms are nice. They are still doing construction which I was aware of so it didn't bother me. It does make it a little hard to find parking at night, though. Towels are similar to what you would find in a Travel Lodge, smaller and flimsy, but dried me off pretty well. I asked for an iron from the front desk since hotels don't really put those in rooms any longer. Brought my own coffee maker and hair dryer with me. They have hair dryers at the front desk. Not sure about coffee makers since brought mine. Hotels aren't putting coffee makers in rooms these days, either. Overall, thought it was great considering the reasonable price!

Everything new clean confort the housekeeping very nice I loved

The hotel is undergoing extensive renovations, and its construction materials are everywhere. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly enough, but after working all day Friday and Saturday, I was looking forward to sleeping in, in the morning. Still, instead, I was awakened at 7:15 am Sunday by construction workers stomping loudly on the roof directly above my room, followed by the excruciatingly loud noise of two gasoline generators and air compressors. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the young lady at the front desk, she was apologetic, but basically acted as if it was too bad and I just had to deal with it. There was no notice in the hotel listing that it was undergoing renovations, nor was it mentioned during check-in that I would be awakened early Sunday morning with construction noise. I am incredibly dissatisfied with my stay. I hope Hotels.com isn't in the habit of purposely withholding important information like this.

The remodled rooms give this place a brand new look with a refreshing vibe that makes you feel at "home" while away from home. The bar is convenient to play pool, darts and have a good time.

The property was going through a remodel and there was no spa and no pool access. It was not communicated when I booked the rooms and we were disappointed. We would have chosen a different property if we knew. There were a few dead bugs on the floor of the room as well.

We were very surprised at the upgrades to the room we stayed in. We have stayed there in the past before the upgrade and we weren’t very impressed. But this time blew us away! It was clean, the beds were comfortable, it didn’t smell like cigarette smoke the AC was cold and tv was HUGE! The colors were vibrant and dint feel like an old folks home! It was hip fun and a nice walk from Vons and 7-11! The bar right next our room was, concerning at first but the room was quiet and you couldnt hear the noise from it and it was generally safe-ish. Would like another deadbolt on the door but other than that, the WiFi was strong, the water was hot, the microwave worked and the coffee maker rocked! And checking in was easy and fast and the staff was amazing! Will definitely be returning!

The inside of the rooms are newly remodeled beautifully. I would definitely recommend and we found our new spot to stay every time we vaca out here at the beach.

Very good value for money. The motel is undergoing a major refurbishment so upon entering the property you'll see a lot of construction activity. The upside is we (the wife and two grandchildren) had one of the rooms that had been finished. Very clean and modern. Both King size mattresses were new and of high grade. Big screen, hi-def TV (at least 75") with the full Sprectrum offering. The room itself is worthy of a four-star rating. The pool is not opened yet so the grandchild were disappointed (despite five hours at the beach). I would definitely stay there again.

Rented the deluxe room with the jetted tub for two, which was immaculately clean and wonderful after an evening at the Pacific Amphitheater to see ZZTop.

The staff at Costa Mesa Inn is great! Front desk & room cleaners were very friendly & helpful. The property is undergoing much needed renovations. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was clean, extremely spacious & modern. The beds are extremely comfortable. The smell of marijuana was strong in the walkways and even seeped into our room.

Came at 7pm. Sign on door: "out for lunch" Can't hire 2 employees?! Asked for a first floor, replied "First come first serve, all first floors are taken" I booked a month prior. Room on 2nd floor was as far from stairs as possible. Not enough stairs built.... Room was good, with new style furniture. Bed lights up when you start walking... when you wake up for bathroom, everyone wakes up!

This is described as a hotel but it's more of a motel. I didn't realize some of the rooms would be under construction so when I arrived, I planned to rest for a little bit but the noise of construction was too distracting I just left. It seemed like people might have been living out of it and the check in office was a mess with a random old couch and what looked like a shower curtain covering a section of it. The room seemed clean. If you're looking for a super cheap place just to sleep in at night, this would be fine but I was hoping for a place that I could rest in a little during the day before work. I could not and was refused a refund.

We are local to the area but had an event to attend and didn’t want to drive home. I found this hotel and it looked good so we booked itZ We arrived at aborb10/00Pm and Sandra at the front desk was charming. We then went onput room and on the way realized the hotel was being remodeled so I was a little concerned. When we opened the door to our room it was a beautifully remodeled room and I was very impressed. It was clean cool and comfortable and we definitely recommend

Check in and check out was easy. The Rooms are renovated but have some concerns. For example The shower floors are slippery. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room which was convenient. However when you first go into the property the entrance can be easy to miss. The parking lot during our stay was worrisome. There were people smoking and drinking outside, being loud, obnoxious and inconsiderate of the rest of the guests. When we left the next morning, we saw an empty whiskey bottle along with other items and trash on the parking lot.

Room was underwhelming with a broken door that didn't close right, no trash can, coffee pot or shampoo. It was also under construction which limited parking. The pool is drained and unusable. The beds weren't great and the AC was very loud. On top of all that they hit my CC for 50% more than the initial price. I disputed the extra charge but I doubt I'll get it back.

Great customer service but my rating is based on the property being under construction and dirty bu the rrom was in excellent condition.

Place was good, price was good. Hotel parking lot was cluttered and limited parking due to ongoing room renovations, staff was nice, no pool available due to renovations. Would stay again when renovations are complete. Overall i would recommend.

Exterior of hotel is run down, but they are remodeling rooms. I stayed in a remodeled room that was modern and clean.

I knew it was under renovation when I booked so that wasn’t a shock and they did good keeping it clean for the most part. The room was great! My only issue would be there were a lot of ants. Dead and alive. It seemed like they sprayed to kill the ants but more kept coming in. Also the shower didn’t seem like it had been properly cleaned. Dirt on the floor, hair on walls and ground. There were some restaurants close enough to walk to which we liked. Overall we enjoyed it. LOVED the double king bed rooms!

This was my first time here! The renovated rooms are pretty nice. A lot of stuff is in walking distance. There’s a public pub literally on site so very convenient if you’re trying to blow off some steam. Staff was awesome and I loved my stay!

This hotel was so nice! They are doing renovations, so parking is limited, but not bad. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was wonderful. Everyone I talked to at the front desk was amazing. My only complaint it that we were on the ground floor and we could the people in the room above us walking around. There is a pub connected to the hotel, and our upstairs neighbor came in every night around 2am and we knew every step he took! Otherwise, this place is really good. I will definitely stay here again.

Great Italian restaurant at the nearby strip mall. Bed was comfortable.

The coffee maker was old and water scales present, should have been replaced before any clients saw the room, there was ants in the bathroom area, they owe me a bottle of perfume since I tried to stop them that way. The property is not secure, anyone from the street can come on, the rooms are decent but honestly with the coffee maker not working disgusting and with the ants, I don't recommend.

They are renovating the rooms so the mess is expected but my bed smelled so bad as if someone had a dog sleeping on the bed and the sheets were not changed. There were also a ton of ants on the floor.

Great place to stay and relax. Extremely spacious room. Modern and clean. I would definitely recommend this motel. One of the best i have stayed in.

This was our second stay. They made some major upgrades since our last stay. The upgrades are awesome! We feel we got a great room for the money. We will be back!

First they check to send to a dirty room then we had to wait another 2 hours for a room to get done so are 3:00 check in became 5:00 and the room was half ass put together the floor was so filthy that are sucks and feet were black within minutes and then we woke up to an amp problem everywhere. I can go on and on.

No coffee maker in friend’s room, no hairdryer in mine. No nighttime or early morning front desk operator. Rooms were recently renovated and nice but most of the property was being renovated.

I have been coming here often for the past 4-5 months and I genuinely have no complaints! The staff is always great and the renovated rooms are pretty nice. Location is 11/10!

The rooms itself were in good condition, aside from having a large number of ants in our room. The outside is definitely under renovations, but for the price point you can’t beat it. Would stay here again.

Wished the pool had been available. Refurbished rooms that were new. If someone steps out of bed (or sometimes merely moves in bed) the floor lights come on with motion detector and wake everyone up. That was bad. Also, one time the TV turned on by itself at 4am blaring loudly. The poor old ladies cleaning rooms were nice and friendly.

Well the hotel was under construction, the pool and jacuzzi were out of order which they failed to mention anywhere on the sites We pulled back the sheets to find hair in the bed. When we called the hotel front desk to complain about it they offered to refund the last three night of what was to be my stay there but couldn’t refund the first night due to us being in the room already but offered a 15% discount off that firsts nights stay. When we asked them to bring up new sheets they took awhile to get there which I get they must have been busy but only to find out they gave us replacement sheets for a queen size bed when we had a king size bed. On top of it the lack of parking due to the bar that’s on location as well as the construction made it extremely hard for me and my wife to find parking and had to circle around and around until we finally found parking which was not even in the same parking lot as the hotel. Now to add to all that there was a bunch of shady people hanging around the hotel making drug deals and just taking up the parking spots to hang out. Not happy with the service and over all stay. I’m still waiting on my refund they said was refunded back to my card on Friday 18th and it’s now Tuesday the 22nd

Even with construction happening parking was very easy and accessible. Very quiet area and many places to shop nearby

The inn we stayed at itself was very nice. However, the sheets were dirty, the area around the outside of the hotel looked like it needs renovations, the check in area looks like a garage to some frat house. On top of that, we called to check in early and was told we couldn’t. I asked if they could hold our bags after flying into SNA at 10:00am and the check in was at 3pm and they said yes. But when I called a different person answered and told me no. The area needs to be cleaned and remodeled. Area is very nice with 7Eleven, Vons, In n Out and other food places within walking distance.

Great customer service, rooms were good for the price and in close proximity to bars, restaurantsand the beach. Room was cleaned daily and replinished without having to ask. I would definitely stay there again.

At first glance the room was okay. It seems they might be renovating. Floors looked new and showers were new. They didn’t have the room cleaned prior to our stay and it was dirty. Walls are thin, could easily hear the people upstairs. There were ants. If you are staying for a night and by yourself it’s doable anything after that not worth it. If after the renovations and bug spray I would consider staying again.

The place was under renovation and we weren’t notified that it would be loud and noisy. There were no phones in the room, the room was ant infested, and the pool was empty. This was not like the pictures on the website.

Let’s start with the good. Nice area around, maids came every day and the RENOVATED rooms are very nice. It is very rare to have a new room that is cleaned everyday, big plus. Now everything else… Forget about early check in, there isn’t a guy at the front desk till 2:30 and when we got there at 3 the guy was smoking outside. The 2nd floor looks like it’s falling apart (stairs and hallways), and the pool was closed without any warning. There was also the $200 deposit and the huge amount of construction trucks, men and boxes EVERYWHERE. We could barely find a place to park all 4 nights of our stay. On the last night there were homeless people blocking the stairs and ants coming from the bathroom wall. Pray you are on the 1st floor cause there are barely any stairs to go up and you feel like the walkway could collapse at any moment.

The room looked tired. When we came in there were no glasses to use. A coffee pot and some coffee was brought in, but it was not good and there was only one regular and one decaf. They should supply two of each. Also, there was only one wash cloth. Staff needs training.

Paid for executive suite, room was nothing like the picture was very disappointed. Ants were all over the room on dressers, sink, trash can and bed. Room service knocked on door and as I got up to answer they just opened the door which I was very uncomfortable with. Barely any parking available. Definitely could have gotten a nicer hotel for the price.

Check in was very good and we understand that major construction was happening. It was very difficult to park sat night and unfortunately the TV did not work. The room and floor was new but one observation is very few towels were available. Over all i would say 3 out of 5. Hopefully in few months after renovations are complete it will be smoother.

I do not recommend unless the information on deposit price is updated to reglect the actual charges and the water issue has been sorted.

DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU CAN FIND ANY PLACE ELSE. They kept my $200 deposit for no reason. Online it states there is a pool and free breakfast. The pool has obviously been out of order for a LONG time and there is no breakfast. I would have overlooked both issues because we were at the beach most of the time anyway, but then they decided to keep my $200 deposit. They claimed there was "animal hair in the room". We were there for a teen soccer tournament at Huntington Beach. We had no animals with us at all (they're not even allowed at the beach) and were only in the rooms long enough to sleep and go back to hit the sand. Don't stay here if you can find ANY PLACE ELSE.

Pool was closed when we went and the place was under construction. Rooms were nice but no iron, hangers and parking was limited.

Not too happy about the service and trying to gouge me for my trailer parking. Also, didn’t get a good night sleep people partying all night .

We first came here last year prior to the remodel. This last stay was excellent and it meet our expectations. Clean rooms, excellent service and near the beach!

There was no lamp in the room. There were ants all over the counter in the drawers and on the floor. Out side of the room was all kind of construction supplies and it was dirty. No pool or hot tub and it advertises that there is. Increased the deposit when you arrive. When we told them about the ants at check out they were not concerned at all don’t apologize or anything. The maid was not friendly and treated that she would tell the front to charge us because my son got candy on the sheet, hello it washes out. We will never stay here again.

We booked this as we were in the area for a funeral. He gave me a bottom floor due to my disability. Unfortunately I wish I would have just done the stairs as people above had there kid running back and forth from 11pm-2pm. No phones in the room, tried calling office from my cell. No answer to which pondered, what in case of emergency are we supposed to do. Good enough for one night, nice and clean otherwise.

Front desk was always helpful when I called and couldn't work tv. Overall a good experience and close to attractions.
