    Room was scorching hot. Microwave didnt work. Asked for a replacement or to be fix but never showed up to repair it. Had to warm food up at gas stations. Tub filled with rust. Leak in ceiling where my clothes got soaked. Someone came into my room and turned off the ac unit. Room temp was 89°. Only one washer and dryer worked.

    The sink fixture was loose, and the sink water pressure was not good at all. The shower water pressure was a little bit better than a lot of other places, but still not great. Those are pretty much my only negatives. The AC was cold, the bed was comfortable. Over all a good stay.

    This property is being refurbished as we speak. As with so many hotels these days, they are ripping out the carpet and replacing with vinyl "wood" planks. I prefer the carpet. Nevertheless, this property is very convenient, clean, quiet on the back side, good ac, hot water, good tv, friendly staff, comfortable mattress.

    The kitchen was fully stocked The fan between rooms was broken so no ac cold get to the bed room and the ac leaked water all over the floor the bathroom floor was slick and the tub was slimmy and the bed as broke down in the middle

We had a suite with a separate bedroom, and rather than having an air conditioner or even a fan, there was a dinner plate size hole covered by a vent where the AC was just supposed to waft in from the other room. It was in the 100s in San Antonio, so it was insufficient to keep that room cool.

    There is no AC in in 1 bedroom suites. Just a small hole with a fan trying to circulate the air. Tub was rusty and there is a $200 deposit if you live in town and are just wanting to get out of the house for a night but overall the rooms are very clean.

    When we stayed they didn’t have the pull out couch and the threw the sheets in the closet like they were dirty. They were still going through renovations throughout the hotel. We tried to request another room that had another bed for my mother and sister since the pull out couches weren’t pull out couches. I request to get into another room that had another bed for the inconvenience. They denied because all the rooms were booked for the night. I came back down to ask for some more blankets for the floor but the front desk told me that they had a room available. They moved us that night to another room and we stayed there. Around the afternoon we were done taking showers they had a leak in the bathroom by the vent that needed to get treated and we were told that we would have to move again. The maintenance came in and fixed it and told us that we would be able to stay in the room. Overall I just wouldn’t recommend coming or staying with family when the place is going through full renovations… they mentioned a 200 dollar fee if we broke or took anything so I had to take a picture of the lamp cover missing just in case because we didn’t take anything.

    I’ve stayed here multiple times. This time was by far the worst. I love the location of this hotel. The room was very warm despite our thermostat being on 60. The soap dispenser was empty. Room smelled musky.

    The only issue we had was that I had booked a suite, bed with a sofa bed. When it was time for bed we went to set up the sofa couch, no bed, just a regular couch, we call down they were trying to charge us for a roll out bed. We fought to get moved into a different room since it is what I initially paid for.

    This property seriously needs to be updated. Had to get a chair for the desk. There was no ice machine and the freezer only had 1 ice tray. So no water jug for the first two days, it took that long to get enough ice. I love Candlewood Inns and Suites. But this one, this one needs some help.

    I had Lysol and wipes and had to clean it myself. The next day I had to explain this in order to get my room cleaned because they said we didn’t get a room clean with a two night stay but after explaining all this and they looked at some notes, I got it cleaned the next day at 5:00 pm! I’ll never stay here again, this was always my favorite place but this was not a good experience at all. It needs updating too, things are really stained we put a towel on the recliner just to sit because it was so dirty. Very dissatisfied!

    Finally got checked in only to walk to a broken elevator elevator button. We took the staircase which had an emergency exit with no alarm and the hodge was broken in half! The door was wide open! We enter the room, only to find out there is a dirty towel that’s hanging off the faucet. Dry btw, brown smudges around. Mold on the caulked walls, rotted wood floor under sink, oil splattered all over the kitchen wall, over head light not workin not vacuumed, q-tip behind dresser, the shutters were screwed inyo ceiling and flew off when we tried closing the m. This was unprofessional, unpleasant, and the most disgusting place we have ever stayed in. I want a refund

    Na Hotel was definitely not worth 156 plus tax and then the secret 75$ fee when you get there. No circulation no thermostats to control air temp big hole in wall from living room blowing in to rooom with loud beyond sleep loud fan when it heated up after sun rise the smell in the room was so disgusting I couldn’t even sleep in the have a stand up circle fan additionally in room it was just horrible. THE WINDOWS OPEN THEY OPEN ALL THE WAY AND HAVE NO SCREEN! that’s scary and could be potentially fatal for young child dog or mental health issue there was a bullet hole in living area window also scary considering… I literally would have left if there was anything else around but there wasn’t I wasn’t suppose to stay but there was a issue with family emergency took up most of evening and so I was to tired to drive to San Antonio.

    This place refused to refund me my money. They told me they couldn't refund me because the manager was never there. Their elevators were not working, we had someone with a wheelchair. They told me they couldn't refund because I had reserved through hotels.com. I called hotels.com and they also informed me that they could get ahold of any managers. Super bad management. I wouldn't trust. I had to reserved in another place and and was down. $150 for a one night stay. I am very upset.

    No comment. The elevator was not working necessitating having to transport my luggage up three flights of stairs to the room. SInjured my back doing thsi. The front desk clerk was without a doubt the most unwelcoming individuals I have every encountered. The elevator (post repair). along with the front area smelled of mold. Would not recommend to stay at this facility.

    The staff was friendly and helpful. The ability to use the washers and dryers for free was wonderful and a surprise bonus! The property is currently under renovations which will be great once completed. There is a foul smell in some areas. The first room we were given had a terrible stench. I am not one to complain and attempted to make it work. I even opened the windows to air it out, but it did not help. There were stains on the carpet and the room in general seemed to be one of the ones that needed renovations badly along with the smell of the entire 2nd floor. The second room on the third floor was much better! The pool area was okay, but my family and I couldn't fully enjoy. This hotel seems to be a property that is housing many male contract workers. Our first day there, we took the kids down to enjoy the pool after all the traveling we had done in the car. There were men there staring at us the entire time. As a woman and mother, I did not feel comfortable at all. Later we realized the men would all gather there to hang out after work daily. We did not return to the pool area the rest of our time there. I would not return to this location again.

    The girl upfront gave us cards that would not open the door had to walk back again to get a new set of cards still had trouble getting the door to open.     The reservation made on Expedia was not found when we got to the hotel. Because we has a confirmation, the accomodaded us with a room for the duration, which was great, but to be told you dont have a reservation is a little unnerving. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. The bed was the best i have slept in at a hotel in years! I need this bed at home! I forgot to ask before i left, but i wanted to check the type of mattress, lol. I have back issues, and drive for 6 hours to get there, so the bed was a HUGE first impression! Our room, as well as the hotel were clean and tidy. The staff were all respectful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. I love that they have a room with items you can borrow, such as games, appliances, and such; makes for a better stay if you dont have to go buy a waffle maker or toaster oven! I would gladly stay again the next time i am in Corpus Christi!

Felt like a horror film. The A/C unit didn’t work, tv hung crooked, cabinets and drawers were all messed up, the tub/shower was horrifying, smelt like mildew had taken over the room, went down to let the front desk know and she never looked up from whatever she was doing. Didn’t care one bit I guess. So I canceled and all she had to say was “you will be charged for one night” I said ok and left. I will NEVER stay at this location or ANY Candlewood property for that matter again. First time customer by the way. Hopefully others don’t have the same experience.

There was a clear plastic elastic ties on the smaller alarm. Have pics if anyone wants to see. Complete disaster. Left after first night of two.

    No air conditioning on the third floor. Staff rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. The girl told me I was on the 3rd floor, I get to the room and the keys don't work. I go back down dripping with sweat and I was told "I'm sorry, you are on the 1st floor. " After wandering around for 10 minutes trying to find my room with NO assistance from the front desk girl I get to my room and it smells like mold and mildew. It's supposed to be a suit yet there was no couch, just 1 recliner and 1 hard chair with torn vinyl seat cover. Then, when I kicked off my shoes, I discovered that the carpet was wet in multiple spots which explained the mold smells. I called the front desk to request a different room and was told the only available room was on the 3rd floor. Needless to say I requested a refund. I had to fight for it but I got it. Will never EVER even consider staying at one of these hotels again. Stay at the Hampton.

    We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly but the only area they had to walk your dog was a 4’ x 20’ area with no other grass. The elevator was not by the front but down the hallway and we were at the other end and there was no air conditioning in the hallway and it was 100 degrees. The carpet in our room was very badly stained the ac in the room would cool down the room then it would get really warm then cool down again all night. But what really made me mad was our reservation was for 3 adults and 1 children but there was only 3 towels so I went to the front desk to ask for 1 more towel and they said I had to bring down a dirty towel before I could get 1 more towel, unbelievable and unacceptable

    We had a reservation for a one bedroom suite with a sofa bed. Upon checking in and going to the room there was not a sofa bed in our room. Going down to front desk the clerk was cleaning the pens and I let her know we did not have what we reserved and while she made NO eye contact with me simply said that’s all we have we are booked. So basically the extremely poor customer service coupled with making a reservation that do not keep makes this my worst ever experience at a hotel. Perhaps it would have been more bearable had the clerk acted like she cared.

    This hotel met my needs at an affordable price. Everything in the unit worked, but the unit was not especially clean. Rust in the bathtub, which also was slippery. No screen on the window or kitchen ventilation, in other words, no fresh air.

    The maintenance was not up kept rust in tub the couch in the room smelt like urine the staff confused when checking in and fact we have to get our own towels inconvenience and it won’t let me post the picture I have of rust in restroom tub

    They don’t tell you you need to pay an extra deposit fee in case of damages till after you pay for the room and if you don’t pay or dnt have to pay you can stay there and they don’t refund your money for the room and they blame it on Expedia or whatever else app used to book the room room was damaged in different areas we had to take pictures to ensure we would not be charged for those damages

    The only problem we had was that the toilet tank filled very slowly. Had to wait at least 10 minutes to reflush toilet. Didn’t notice until our 2nd day there and were leaving the following morning.

    The stay was good! I had issues with Hotels.com and the payment being denied! The virtual card issued by hotels.com was denied! The cr I had .. I had to repeat me email at least 20 times! The lady at front desk was Awesome & helpful!!

    Nice quiet place , they always accommodate a close room to the elevator when I request it due to my disability . When traveling from Houston Tx we will continue booking at this hotel .

    I have stayed at plenty of other Candlewoods but have not stayed at one in CC TX. The price per room was affordable but I would have stayed elsewhere had I known the conditions..

    The staff was nice but the room had an odor & the water pressure was very low. It didn’t feel clean. There was a $50.00 early checkin fee. We checked in an hour half early. I’ve never paid for early checkin at any other hotel before so that was surprising to me. I personally would never stay here again.

    It was advertised as pet friendly. Said nothing about a charge. Then they added $30 on Saturday night at check in. on Monday they added $45. It was a very little dog, which is a "service dog." When i questioned them about the added charges. They said we charge $75. for pets. If that is the case why was the charge in two parts instead of one. I stayed at a different Hotel 2 weeks later their sign said $10, pet fee. I believed they lied to me. $75. is completly unreasonable!

    First time ever booking! The beds are so soft and the pillows are amazing the studio suit had everything you needed for a perfect stay! They have a laundry room, gym and more! They provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate near the lobby

    Other than the keycard reader not working all weekend it was a good stay. Definitely should be compd a day or two for. The inconvenience and not being informed when the room was booked online. I found out when I checked in and it was too late to cancel. The staff was amazing though, someone at corporate office should be held responsible for not making repairs a more urgent priority.

    We had to cancel at the last minute because I booked a suite double bed and they didn’t have anything available. They just gave us a regular queen bed. The reservation thru Hotel.com and the hotel didn’t match. We hope to get out money back.
