I love this place! I plan on booking again

I didn’t like anything about the property. It is 10 yards away from fourth Avenue, which is Coronado’s busiest street starting at 5 AM for military entrance to the base. The whole hotel shakes from loud sound systems and loud engines from the cars. The property had no Wi-Fi, broken routers and wires hanging down from the TV. The hotel is 10 yards away from Coronado’s busiest street that starts at 5 AM with loud sound systems and cars. My room also had black mold in the bathroom. Do not stay here.

Barebones spot. Small room. But perfectly fine if you are a single traveler on a budget.

Friendly helpful staff, fast service, clean rooms, good amenities and an outdoor pool. Also the Inn is only a couple blocks from the waterfront which has boutique stores, good to great restaurants, ferry service (USS Midway/downtown) and waterski rentals.

Looking forward to staying here again

The room was great and the location was perfect. Lots of walkable shops and restaurants. Parking was right outside the door to the room too!

We picked the hotel only because our friends were already booked there and I was very nervous on what it was going to be like. I was pleasantly surprised. It was updated and clean so overall worked out great!

Room 105 was a nice, corner room with fridge, sink and stove. The free coffee in the main office makes a really good espresso. The room is walking distance to the port village which has restaurants, shops scenic views. The main negative is the Inn is directly adjacent to the main street and it can be a bit noisy. Overall, it is worth a stay.

It was good, but there was no hot water in the shower and the air shot directly on my face when I was trying to sleep. Also, there were puddles of blood on the parking spaces in front of my door.

Tough to check in!! Text links were inefficient and apparently did not work with transferring my credit card info. Front desk staff was overwhelmed and when I arrived at 12:30, there was a line of 4-5 people waiting outside the locked office. Office to check in was kitty corner from the actual location I was staying, but I only found out from a chalk board sign. Loud. We were lucky we had early check in or else parking was a nightmare. We walked everywhere, but parking was inconvenient. Room was fine-ish, but sheets were cheap and didn’t stay on the mattress. Lights in ceiling broken. One chair was put together wrong and I found out by falling forward with it.

My room had a one-off kitchenette that was nice. Some rooms are right on 3rd St., which is 3 lanes one-way. Parking was on an alley around the corner from my room.

Our Family was there for a funrual they put us all together on 1 floor and they had a awesome out door patio area where we all gathered fun laughter. WE ALL LOVED IT. The stafe was very accomadating and very nice cute quite quant place. Highly recommend

When we complained about the night club levels of noise happening at midnight above us they said there was nothing they could do about it. The rooms were tiny and cramped so much so that one of the double beds in our room had to be rotated 90 degrees from the other to fit in the room. The ac was more like a weak fan and the room was not cleaned well. It wasn’t filthy but not as clean as I expect at a hotel. The rooms face the major street. In addition to traffic noise, the street lights are bright and the rooms do not have blackout curtains. The regular blinds did not suffice. It felt like day light all night. It was difficult to sleep. Note: to check into this place you have to cross a couple of roads to get to a different hotel reception where you check in.

We arrived very late and there was a lock box ready to do upon arrival. Very easy. Walking distance to all the restaurants on Orange Ave. Fridge and mircrowave for your leftovers. Comfortable beds. Very accomodating. This is my 3rd stay.

Loved my stay here. The room was very cute. The only minor inconveniences were having to walk to the other property if i needed an amenity and no full length mirror. I also wouldve really loved a table in the room. Overall great stay. Very clean and everyone was friendly. Will most likely book again!

Front door wouldn’t lock properly. Told maintenance who looked at it and said he’d return to fix lock and never returned. Wall mounted hair dryer under sink. Smelled like moth balls or some weird smell. I reserved a room at Coronado Inn and was assigned room at their other property across the street. Overall won’t stay there again.

This is a decent hotel. My only complaint is the traffic is very loud. The price was great and the hotel is very convenient to resturants and other activities.

Good location as far as getting to shopping and restaurants etc. certainly a good price for the location. Was dated, bedding was lacking as far as fluffy duvet and some pillows were lumpy.

Very old. Split air unit did not work at all. Window unit heat worked (some). Room smelled. Furniture extremly cheap. Only hard chairs to sit in. Everything 30 yeara old. Took 5 mins for the hot water to get to the tap. Room right next to heavy traffic all day and night.

Traffic was loud we hardly slept, it sounded like car were driving through our room, bed was very uncomfortable and super squeaky. And to make things even worse no hot water for showers in the morning. Ask to speak with the GM but they couldn’t troubled to call us back. Definitely will not go back

Check in is across the street, busy corner with traffic 20 foot away from your door, very noisy all night, no phone in room to call office across the street, no staff at site, light comes in from the door arch, only one chair at the dining table, very small room, tiny toilet.

The employees are always so incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms need some care. They are always pretty clean but they need updating.

Everything was great! Remodelled room and staff was nice. Water takes a bit to get warm for the shower but they are still remodeling a room or two on the property so that could be why. But it worked out great for a quick work trip and easy all the way around. Thanks and happy holidays

Check in was super smooth, Cheryl was great. Only a couple blocks from the ferry landing with lots of places to get food and drinks there and along the way. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Hotel Del and everything in that direction. Would definitely book again.

I was okay with a partial refund but they refused. So they can keep my money and rent it out the room to make more money. Not good business. Don't use a 3rd party hotel service, the hotel gets paid before you show up.

This room was well lit and clean. There was no phone, no bathroom mirror and no peep hole in door. The front desk was very responsive to our troubles with the tv. I had guest come knock on my door at around midnight to quiet down. I understood we may have been a little loud. But I wished it came from someone that was from the hotel. Not a random person. Colorado Island Inn's landmark is awesome, unfortunately, although it is an assigned parking, pulling out, either you back out or face, it is quite risky. It goes where the traffic flows. It is a good inn, but it was not worth the price.

We found toxic mushrooms growing out of the carpet next to the bed.,we brought it staff’s attention and they quickly moved us to another room at their sister property.. Staff was attentive and accommodating.. appreciate the urgency in which they handled this situation.

It had a bed, a chair and a table. It was very dated. Seemed very dirty. There were no cups for water. There was one plate that was used for the microwave. They didn't have blackout curtains.

The location was good. Very walkable. The lights outside the door were very bright and lit up the room like daylight at night. We found some cardboard and covered the windows in the upper part of the door and the room was much darker for sleep.

This property is old and not updated so don’t expect any amenities. It sits on the corner of two busy streets with constant traffic. The noise is very loud from the traffic. On the positive side it is located in a nice area and close to the Navy base. It you are a hard sleeper you might be able to handle the traffic noise at night.

If all you need is a clean, cool room to sleep and get ready for the day this is the best spot on the island. Close enough to all the best restaurants to walk to from your room along with beautiful parks within walking distance also. Easy check in amd check out also!

I honestly didn't use my car for most of my trip because I can walk everywhere. I do wish the room had darkening curtains because the outside light is very bright which is great for safety not so good for sleeping. the room had been recently updated which was nice but the metal bed frame needed a bumper guard for my poor knee that I kept running into it. very convenient to everything in Coronado.

Clean room with a comfortable bed. Ideal for a quick low cost stay on the island. Smaller room and quite a bit of traffic noise and noise from rooms upstairs so might not be ideal for some people but did not bother me

Great location! Walking distance from the beach and bay. Also walking distance from local eateries and local coffee shops.

Room was basic. Beds were horrible, you could feel the springs in the mattress. The surrounding area was extremely loud.

Love Coronado. Great place! Had most comfortable beds. Area is on very noisy street at all hours. Traffic one way makes it difficult to round the block to designated parking. That was the only problem we had.

Location was 3 min from job. Coronado island is cute and welcoming. The wifi was non existant. It was so slow I couldn't even connect to Google. I had to buy a mobile Hotspot plan from my carrier, for an additional $20. No maid service. Not even refreshing towels and most importantly toilet paper. No shampoo. They had a combined shampoo/conditioner dispenser. Hard to get a steady temperature in the shower. Bathroom counter and baseboards dirty. I'm not usually thinking about that but with everything else, it became annoying. Direct tv with not even 1 premium cable channel offered.

Could hear people upstairs all night long would’ve preferred a better place to sleep that was quiet

I stayed here because of the price, as I was attending a concert at the Rady Shell Jacob Park. It's a short walk to the Coronado Ferry, that I took (round trip) to the San Diego Convention area. The venue was a short walk away, and there were several restaurants and drinking establishments in the immediate area. The room was small and had some age to it, that gave it character, but this was a solo trip, and it was perfect. Also, the parking was perfect. The person who checked me in was a delight!
