The Inn At Corolla Light

Place was beautiful, great walkway on sound, many breakfast choices

I happen to be disabled, using a rollator/medical transport to walk, or be pushed by my husband. There are NO ELEVATORS! They had no rooms available on the ground floor. So I could not stay there. The front desk staff was very helpful finding a different hotel.

It was actually housekeeping who went out of their way to help us with little things like towels and pillows. They were very sweet and approachable when I saw them on their cleaning rounds. We would probably stay there again, but would book earlier for a room with a view of the water.

Property was in terrible condition needs major repairs and upgrades.

Everyone was wonderful. The property is beautiful! Would have booked all the rooms we needed as suites. My mistake on that. Only complaint. Could have used a clock in th room. 5 star stay.

Everything was excellent. Breakfast was good (the muffins were delicious). The room was spacious. The pool area looked very inviting. The swing at the end of the pier was most enjoyable to sit and watch the sun set. This was an exceptional place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This property did not meet our expectation as was described and pictured. The breakfast was not more than bagels or cereal. We tried to relax the first morning there and the maintenance workers were blowing off the deck on a windy morning much longer than necessary. My husband went out and asked how much longer to be told it was late and people should be awake. I also fell on the deck because I did. It realize there was a step down. All other stairs were marked except these. The fan in the bathroom was broken. There was not an elevator to the second floor, so you had to bring your luggage up all the steps, so be prepared.

Our room was clean and comfortable with views of the bay. The breakfast had a wide selection and one of the best continental breakfasts we've seen. The amenities are great with access to bikes and multiple pools. We definitely plan on coming back!

They use the brightest, whitest light bulbs (no warmth) and the walls are paper thin. Sounded like my neighbors TV show was playing my room. There is a distinct smell of rotting plant matter on the sound side of the property. Too expensive for the bare bones nature of the place.

Bruce the bartender makes the stay memorable and makes you feel welcome. Book it for the views, stay for the stories, and enjoy the tiki bar and pool. I will be coming back next year. Such a memorable trip with this place. Bonus is the water sports are just outside the hotel and you get free access to the huge gym facility next door.

The only arm chair in the room was made of poor quality. It would have been nice to have 2 nicely made chairs to enjoy sitting and chatting in the evening. The continental breakfast was a nice variety of items and the dining and food area was extremely clean. The customer service was great from check-in to check-out! We would definitely stay again and recommend the Inn to others.

We had Room 42 with an outdoor deck overseeing the pier and water sports. It was the perfect place to be for July 4th fireworks!!! The room and the views were amazing.

A fun, quirky hotel. The rooms were large and the bed was comfortable. I did have to ask for new sheets, as the first one had pilling. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

It’s an older Inn and we had to walk quite a distance and climb steps to get to our room. If you are handicapped, this is difficult. Ask for a room on the ground floor. Luckily, an employee noticed our plight trying to get our luggage to the room and helped us out.

Comfortable, clean room in a quaint setting. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a beautiful setting by our host Bruce. Our room had deck chairs overlooking the sound, perfect for watching the sunset.

We had such a wonderful stay here for my birthday! Our room was spacious with a great view overlooking the pool and the sound. Everyone was so nice! The breakfast was just right. I will definitely be coming back.

Some of the walkways need repairs to the boards. Some sections were new & they were working on those sections when we were there. Had a room with a view. The beds were very firm which made it a little uncomfortable to sleep. The room we had was very spacious.

My husband & stayed in a sound side room and view was amazing. The place was clean & folks were friendly. We saw a few does & a buck in the parking lot. Heater was a little noisy and bed was not as comfortable as we would prefer, but I definitely would stay here again.

I love traveling but one thing I hate is knowing I have to lay my head down in a room that is not mine. My stay and my room was exceptional!! Clean, clean, clean. I felt so comfortable. The atmosphere was very peaceful and I loved being on the water. I will definitely be back !!!

You are paying for the beautiful views. Don’t expect any hotel perks. You are lucky to have a television that works, much less a refrigerator we had to have both replaced several times in a 4 day stay.

The hot showers never let me down. The entire property is cover by a boardwalk. The dock out into the sound is absolutely beautiful. The staff is awesome, very personable too

More parking, especially handicapped parking would be a great thing. You have one handicapped spot and there was a car there the entire time I was there and they didn't have a special plate or hang tag. I use a cane and am very unstable on my feet, that space would have been a God send. Also, the parking lot is not well lit so that made it even more stressful as I had to park out in the dark area and walk in the dark to get to the ramps where the lights are. This is a liability risk for you.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming which I haven’t seen for a long time from customer service in hotels. The grounds were clean and welcoming. I went for walks on my own and felt completely safe. I wish I could have stayed longer.

This is our third year staying at this location and we love it. The check in process is seamless, even if checking in late, and the Inn is so relaxing. The breakfast spread and staff start your day on the right foot!

I personally would've liked our room cleaned more thoroughly. We spent a lot of time at the beach and we were told to put our sign on the door handle asking to please clean the room. All they really did was replace our towels and change the 2 small trash cans out. I did have to go to the office for toilet paper because we werent given an extra and were completely out at one point. Everyone was very friendly but the hotel amneties could be better.

We have stayed at the Lighthouse Inn a few times before! It is truly a hidden gem, the staff is wonderful, and it is always so clean. Beautiful spot on the bay!

My family enjoyed our time at the Inn. The location is beautiful though a little confusing to find at first. We visited with family down the road each day so our stay on location was brief. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and met our need for a place to sleep. We would book here again in the future.

The balconies on the bay side rooms are not private, it's one continuous deck that's common to all of the rooms. The sinks have zero countertop space, and I mean zero. But there was room for a dead cockroach under the faucet, so... thank you for that, Housekeeping. On the positive side, they did use nice sheets, and they did call us at 6pm to make sure we were aware their office closed at 7pm and walked us through how to find they hide-a-key for our room to get in.

Really enjoyed ourselves will make plans to go back next year

It was a average room. It's a little over priced.

This was a very family friendly, pet friendly option. We were able to go to the beach and also relax at the Inn with the Pier right at our Inn. The newly renovated Olympic size pool at a close to walk/drive facility was also a plus. You get wrist bands to go there with the purchase of the rooms. We would definitely go back.

Currituck is beautiful! You’re surrounded by million-dollar properties that are rentals. This property was perfect for our stay. We arrived late & called ahead. The staff had our check in details & key tucked away for us. We were right in the water with stunning views.

We loved staying here. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. We got to use the complimentary bikes our entire stay and loved being able to watch the sunset on the dock. Will be coming back.

The Inn was peaceful serenity. I loved sitting on our porch watching the waves. The staff were very friendly, helpful and considerate. We didn’t have time to take advantage of their water sports rentals but it was great to have it right there. We would definitely go back here to stay.

The staff could not have been friendlier. Really appreciate the personal touches.

Next morning everyone working were super friendly and accommodating. This was our first time to the area and will be staying here again.

The beautiful sunset that you can watch.

We loved our stay at Inn at Corolla Light. So welcoming to us and our fur baby. The view was magnificent. Lovely to walk along the sound every morning and evening on the trail. Breakfast is perfect. We didn’t have a chance but there’s even free bikes to use! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Lovely small Inn with great views of the sound. The staff were wonderful and took care of everything we needed. There was a variety of dining options nearby. Included continental breakfast was simple but plentiful and a good quick morning bite. Highly recommend.
