Nice hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Two recommendations: (1) Only one functional elevator. This seems to be a trend in Marriot hotels. Why?? Wait time is unacceptable. (2) Options for breakfast was horrible. Seriously,, a little effort would go a long way. Heat and serve is a terrible solution. Yuk!!

Si viajas como mi esposo y yo al consulado Español; solo tienes que cruzar la avenida LeJune (es al frente) La limpieza del hotel sinceramente uno de los hoteles mas olorosos que he sentido, un aroma super refrescante y limpia, todo el tiempo, asi que la limpieza 5 de 5 La atención maravillosa y un espacio para desayuno con todo lo que necesitas. El bar nos encantó al igual que el área de la piscina. Si tienes que ir por Miami lo mismo por negocios, trabajo oh vacaciones diría sin dudas que este Hotel es la elección perfecta. Ahora si vas con niños puedes explorar otras opciones a no ser que tus hijos sean tranquilos; Aloft es un Hotel para descansar y relajarse, a los niños eso no les interesa mucho jajajajaja. At one point around 2:00 AM, the noise was loud enough to wake me up, and it genuinely sounded as though they were inside my room. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to get a good nights rest.

there was pee on the floor of th bathroom dried by the toliet. The shower was only scolding hot and the temperature wouldn't change and they ran the vacuum next door at 7am

Elevator broken, drinks at the bar were insanely expensive and overpriced - to the point that I actively avoided hanging out there after the first night. There is a strange damp, musty odor in the hallways upstairs, and so much pink in the carpet and walls it was a little discomforting.

I lovedddd the front staff! Very friendly and nice. I didn’t like the false advertisement in the pictures for the room I selected. The pictures showed a balcony but there was no balcony in the room. I also called downstairs & asked them could I get some extra towels and rags because the room only had one of each. The staff member told me yes and that they were otw. Never got the extra towels & rags until I walked down hours later and got them.

we check right back out not knowing there were no heat in the room they provide us with a small portable heater that make alot of noise and it will not warm the room up, i never been to hotel that does not have heat in the room reporting to expedia to get a full refund and now they charge me $35 for parking when i just check in and check back out!!!!

The location was very convenient to walk to restaurants on the miracle mile. They have interesting amenities such as a pool table in the lobby. One elevator was out of order so with only one available it could be slow waiting for it to reach the floor.

The front staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. They double charged my credit card and called me a liar. I had to file a dispute with the card. Stay anywhere else.

The hotel es well located, 1 block away from Miracle Mile. The area is quiet and accessible to/from different points of Miami. The rooms are spacious, they have a nice hotel bar which is always tended by really nice bartenders. This is not the first time I've stayed here. Before, the hotel would put out a breakfast buffet (waffles, bread, ham, etc). But now they make you chose from a few different options (usually some sort of sandwich), but when it arrives, it's very disappointing, as it's very very small and not at all what you expect from an "included breakfast". I had requested the breakfast included option in Booking, but the Hotel did not have it registered. I had to show them my reservation through the app, so that they could see I had selected the option. There is always the one front desk staff that just feels like they don't want to be there and I had to deal with him twice. The air conditioning is always a problem. So be mindful of this if you are a person that needs a cooler room.

With the government shutdown ongoing, we got stuck in miami and missed our connection, and it was a fantastic problem to have - Aloft Coral Gables had a room that slept 6 available miraculously, and we enjoyed a fantastic fine dining experience at their in house restaurant. Room was very clean and comfortable, and the shower was great after a long, frustrating day of travel. We could not have been happier with the stay. When I come back to Miami to stay in the future, I would stay at Aloft again.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Consulate of Spain, which is why we chose your hotel. It also was easy to walk to restaurants in the area. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would stay there again. The hotel is not very warmly decorated. It was not appealing to hang out in the lobby or the bar. The valet was expensive.

We reserved a suite but did not get it. We were told the hotel was under renovation and the suites were not available. However on our way out we saw a family getting out of the suite we had reserved.

We had a wonderful stay during family weekend at U Miami. The location was so modern and convenient to the Miracle Mile. One comment is that the room door took a little while to close, and you could see if someone was in the bathroom. We would stay again when visiting.

I was in Coral Gables to drop off my daughter at UMiami and this hotel was perfect. The location is great. It was only a 10 minute ride to campus. I rented a car from a rental company near the hotel rather than rent at Miami airport and it was super convenient. I parked at a meter on the street rather than pay the overnight parking fee and that worked out. The staff is very attentive. I felt very safe as the front desk is in a central location right inside the main door and the entrance is not on a major street. I'll definitely stay here again.

The property was very nice with friendly staff. What I really disliked were several annoying aspects of this hotel. The breakfast and happy hour food options are decent, but ridiculously overpriced and skimpy sizes, adding insult to injury. The burgers are the size of a children's menu, and so are the other items. That explains why very few peope ate in the hotel. There are no microwaves in the rooms, you have to go to the breakfast area and use.a shared microwave. There's no breakfast buffet, just the small menu of overpriced breakfast choices. There are no ice machines on the floors, you have to get a bag of ice from the freezer in the breakfast area, it's complimentary, but there's no place to put all that ice, only a small ice bucket. The shower cabinet doors are a disaster! There's no rubber gasket to seal where the glass doors meet, so water gets out all over the floor. Parking is also a hassle, $35 per day no self parking, only valet! The rooms are small, the mini fridge is on the floor, under the sink. I don't recall having these issues when I stayed in the Tallahassee Aloft near the Capitol. In conclusion, I think Aloft is ideal for a traveler who doesn't need much and wants to go out on the town. It may be a better fit for those under 30, but not for us

Wonderful, centrally located, walking distance to miracle mile and across the street from a Publix supermarket. Only thing,we had requested a room around the pool area and was not able to get it. But over all, a wonderful experience.

The hotel is clean and the location is very convenient. The room setting is very strange with a wall dividing the beds and the bathroom area. It was very noisy, we could hear the people next door and woke up with their alarm clock at 4am. The hotel has a restaurant, however, breakfast is offered next to the reception and not at all appetizing. There is no ice machine, but bags of ice in a freezer at the lobby.

This is a very good property for the $, other than beware the parking adds $35/night. Clean, decent sized rooms, conveniently located. Nothing especially fancy, but nice. We have stayed here many times during our daughter’s 4 years at UM.

Overall a good stay. There was a strange set up in bathroom for door that separates shower and bathroom sink. It was getting stuck or off track. Not really any food options unless you wanted to door dash or walk to the miracle mile. The sofa pullout bed had no cover in the closet or room. No trash bags in the room. However the staff was amazing! I really appreciate the two ladies that helped me our first day there.

Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel was nice and clean, all personnel were nice and very helpful from the valet parking, the cleaning people to management. My room has an issue with the sliding door that separates the sink with the toilet, did not close properly but enough to have privacy, it was an error of design/ engineer, otherwise all good, location could not be better if you are a Gables lover.

Third time we stay at this hotel. But first time we stay at a third floor room. Walls has low isolation so noise is annoying. You can even listen to the conversation people are having in the next room. Difficult to sleep with it. We are coming back but we will select a suite definitely. We did no have this problem before. Other than that stay was good.

Everything is clean and staff are great.

Lobby was beautiful but Bedroom was old and dirty. Wallpaper peeling from the wall in numerous areas, dirty shower corner, maintenance needed snd carpet dirty. Thin walls and loud. I expect much more from Marriott. Very disappointed and will not stay there again during frequent travels to Coral Gables, FL. I took photos but don’t see a place to upload them.

Location merits a TEN, but breakfast seemed disorganized, coffee in a different room, few tables; it could do better!!

Good location close to miracle mile. Lobby and shared spaces were nice. Rooms could use some updates and general cosmetic repairs. Friendly staff.

The lobby is spacious and modern. There was no store to buy toiletries, or breakfast, except muffins, and drinks from a vending machine. The room (suite) was very large, which was a plus, but the coffee machine did not work; the shower door did not close all the way, getting water all over the floor. The bathroom door did not close shut, and kept banging into the sink counter when you rolled it. The door was worn out from all the banging on one edge and almost falling off the track. The sofa bed was supposed to be full size, but my 17yo had his feet completely hanging off of it. We were supposed to get free water each DAY, but on day two they said it was only once per STAY, yet they gave us 2 more on day three. We had a hard time getting ubers from UM (my son went for a cello audition), and they sent us a car service which was $50 for a 10min ride to the airport, which initially cost us $22 when we arrived. All in all, the service was great, but the commodities and amenities were lacking. The hotel is updated, but those updates are definitely showing signs of wear and tear already. It definitely could use a breakfast option, since coffee pots aren’t working and there are no warm food options available in the lobby. The best part is the size, location, and service— save for the front desk person that would not give us water on day two.

Great location, but the hotel room I had was dated with broken tiles. No blanket is offered, only a thick sheet. The TV did not work, the bar was empty most of the evening, no frills at this hotel. The pool table in the lobby is a nice touch. It was noisy in my top floor room at night, I'm not sure if it was the AC unit or something else but I didn't have a great nights sleep. Any noise in the hallway feels like it's right in the room. I usually am easy to please, but I wouldn't stay here again.

It was ok, having to pay $35 for parking per day was insane and not appriciatee!

Great quiet place to stay

The hotel was not bad. The costumer service was good. They have to improve the cleaning, the elevator area on the first floor smells like piss and the room smells like cigarettes. Valet parking people are very nice.

We visited in January during a cold spell but not unusual for Miami. The hotel is fairly new but has NO HEAT in the rooms nor in public areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful but we were uncomfortable in our room as well as in public ateas.

A service

The carpeted rooms are a little off putting, especially with a humid dank Florida. $300 per night, it was disappointing. A $200 p/night max experience at best, Coral Gables can't justify the premium priced hype. Staff are good and friendly, amenities are 3 star. Way overpriced for what it is.

Nice hotel for the price

I have no complaints tbh. Great price. Everyone was helpful and kind.

The hallway noise was louder than I would have liked, and I would have liked to have a bathtub to soak in and/or at minimum more water pressure for the shower. However the water definitely got hot! The shampoo/conditioner/body gel were all very nice. Branded dry bar. They were subtle in fragrance which is nice. The lobby is extremely over fragranced. It made me so sick to be in that area. They could knock it down by more than half and it would still be enough to keep the brand smell they are going for. It’s not bad, just wayyyy too much. Other than that I would certainly stay again. (Please reduce the fragrance!)
