dog friendly lodge. Main areas are very nice and well kept. Room that I stayed did need some small repairs. Generally clean. New owners will take a little time to put everything in order. Worth the stay. 30 minute drive to wineries and town of Floyd. Not really a lodge type of person but I did enjoy the peacefulness of the lodge and areas.

Super cool lodge nestled atop a beautiful mountain property. They have rooms in the lodge itself as well as some cabin style rooms. Very clean, comy bed and pillows with the most amazing views. Can not wait to go back!

The property, the views, and the lodge itself were nothing short of spectacular. David and Ginger’s warm hospitality made us feel like part of the family—so welcoming and genuine. We were only there for one night during our week-long family road trip from Philadelphia to Tennessee along the Blue Ridge Parkway, but we truly wish we had stayed longer. No doubt, we'll be planning a return trip for a longer stay! Bonus tip: While you're there, have dinner at the Treehouse Tavern—trust us, you won’t be disappointed!

What a beautiful location and the owners were absolutely lovely. The views are stunning. We felt like family instead of hotel guests. The horses onsite were so sweet and friendly too. The front entry with its rustic touches was beautiful and rocky indoor pond was so awesome. The fire was burning when we arrived. What a great touch. The breakfast in the morning was perfect and sipping tea while seeing the sun in the mountains was just what the doc ordered. I highly recommend and we will be back. ❤️🙏

Was last house up in the mountains. Very nice property and close to Floyd VA which was like a blast from the past. Friday night downtown all different musicians just set up on sidewalk or corners playing fun music. Was a little craft market set up also. Plenty of places to eat or drink or just get dessert. Definitely a place you can have a huge family gathering or reunion or just a couples getaway.

Beautiful property!! Located just off Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a bit secluded, but that is part of it's charm! Owners are sweet. Breakfast is good and I love chatting with the other guests.

What a great find! If you're OK with a drive thru the mountains, this is the place for you. The property is beautiful, the main lodge is old and rustic but so charming. The owners are wonderful. They acquired the lodge less than a year ago and have plans to upgrade/update as they go along so you must look past some of the 'broken' things but it's clean and open and we would absolutely stay there again. Ginger even made us fresh waffles in the morning, which was an unexpected bonus. Can't beat the views and the relatively 'inexpensive' cost for what you get. We hope to return and see what kind of progress they've made in the future. Highly recommend.

We will go back. A beautiful space. Ginger and David were extremely thoughtful hosts. The open shared space was contemporary and comfortable and the view break taking. Keep in mind you are a bit of a drive from restaurants but David suggested we bring dinner and we relaxed with our food and wine watching the sunset over the ridge.

Quiet and picturesque property with horses and other wildlife.. cabin 8 was clean and all in order.. the room needed to be aired out prior to guests but the evening was cool enough to open the windows and do that.. decided to forgo the continental breakfast and made the drive to Hale's instead.. a fantastic choice! Would definitely return to the area and the Lodge..

Great service and communication. Greeted on arrival and got a brief tour. Beautiful lodge and panoramic views of the Appalachian Mountains. Loved the room decor with beautiful cozy throw pillows and blankets. Newer owners and lots of updates. Wonderful place to gather family and for intimate family events like weddings and anniversary trips. Pet friendly too.

I don’t want to say too much bc then this gorgeous lodge will always be booked. 😂Amazing accommodations. Went above and beyond our expectations in every way. Only wish we could’ve stayed longer. We were there for VT graduation and would’ve loved to spend the day in the mountains.

Wonderful lodge with a stunning view. Comfortable and homey while still upscale. Beautiful hardwood floors, patios… the couple who have recently taken over are friendly, available and accommodating. The drive to get there might be daunting but don’t be daunted! Also very very reasonable $. Highly recommended for a getaway!

We really enjoyed the stay, except it was too short. Beautiful rustic lodge on the top of Bent Mt. with extraordinary views. Super friendly and helpful hosts. It felt like belonging to a family while there. The breakfast had many options and was a great start to the day. Very clean too.

What a wonderful discovery tucked on the crest of a Blue Ridge mountain. Serene and peaceful with spectacular views and lush surroundings. The Lodge was so comfortable and hosts, David and Ginger McDonald, were so friendly and accommodating. It was the perfect respite from a tiresome and anxiety filled week of packing for a long move. Although it was rainy and the fog kept us from exploring outdoors the warm ambiance inside the lodge and time spent with family made this a sweet and memorable experience. The lodge has been there for quite a while but David and Ginger, the new owners, are determined to make it a haven for guests and a destination for the area. It’s a trek to get there but well worth it! I feel sure the owners will continue to improve the experience as they were kind enough to share their future plans. Come with a picnic basket as the area doesn’t have convenient dining … yet!

Absolutely incredible stay at the Bent Mountain Lodge! This spot is a hidden gem - the property has incredible views, beautiful lodging & gracious hosts. We were visiting Roanoke for the marathon and brought our 2 dogs. When we got to the race, we found out our pups had been barking (anxious to be in a new place alone). Getting ready to come back and nix the race, the owners let us know that they got them from our room & would watch them until we returned. Can’t thank Ginger & David enough for going above & beyond, making us feel right at home. Also Belgian waffles made by Ginger the next morning:) Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

The views were downright amazing! The room was cutely decorated. Loved the extra throws to snuggle in while watching tv in the sitting area. We booked this room because of the large windows to enjoy the Mountain View’s from our room. David and Ginger made us feel very welcomed. The continental breakfast was massive, everything was fresh, and consisted of everything you could imagine for a continental breakfast. We hope to return soon.

My husband and I with our college-age son from Radford University had a wonderful stay in this magical place. Much of our very positive experience came from the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts, David and Ginger. The views are wonderful from their lodge, and the central room with all its wood is exquisite. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and very calming to stay there. We hope to go there again in the future.

I stayed, accompanied by my three children, at Bent Mountain Lodge in December of 2023. Every single thing about our stay exceeded my expectations. The Lodge has new owners, David and Ginger, since early November of ’23 and they are friendly and accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. The mattresses were high quality and comfortable and we all slept so well. The bedding was impeccably clean and the bathroom was comfortable and very spacious. I loved how the bathroom in Guest Room 2 was in the foyer of the room, meaning you could turn on the bathroom light without disturbing someone still sleeping in the main part of the room. The breakfast was AH-MAZING (again, ignore earlier reviews about the quality of the breakfast that are prior to 11/1/23 when there was a different ownership). There was plenty of fresh fruit, coffees, teas, muffins, toast, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, English Muffins, and even more. I left the very best part for last – the views are spectacular, from many angles. They’re so beautiful you will want to spend as much time as you can outdoors, going for a nice hike, exploring the property, or eating and chatting at one of the dozens of outdoor seating options. This charming, beautiful, picturesque location would be amazing for girls’ weekends, church retreats, book club outings, weddings, family reunions, and so much more. We cannot wait to go back!

We chose room 8 (can't recall its name) and it was a very large and bright room detached from the main house...with large windows on both sides. We had a king bed and a comfy love seat. We also had a great front porch that was a great place to perch to see the 360 degree, tiered mountain views of the beautiful Blue Ridge. There was a nice (shared) kitchen with laundry facilities right next door which we were welcomed to use. The Innkeepers hosted a nice continental (plus) breakfast with coffee/tea/beverages, hot/cold cereals, muffins, pastries, HB eggs, fruits, and Jimmy Dean biscuits in the gorgeous, spacious kitchen also overlooking the aforementioned amazing tiered Blue Ridge mountain views. We will likely be frequent visitors as we have family in the area. Thanks so much for sharing your character-filled lodge and great hospitality!

Jesse was a big help. We were lost but he talked us in. What a wonderful place to visit. I sustained a nasty fall (totally my fault) but Jesse came to the rescue with paper towels and helped me back to my room, holding me the entire way. So sorry to hear that he is moving on and new owners will be taking over, I just hope that they instill the grace that Jesse had. Just may paln a trip there in the spring to enoy the gardens.
