    The room was clean, bathroom updated. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional. The breakfast was a perfect way to start the day although it is a old hotel which you must take into consideration it was perfect for two nights pool was clean furniture.

    Upon arrival I was told that a deposit was required and it would be returned at checkout. due to late time, I paid the deposit. The next morning at checkout I was told it would be five days before the deposit would be returned. What a rip off!

    We didn't even stay!!!! The entire hotel just was dirty feeling and old and did not even feel safe during the daytime when we checked in and left!!!! The pictures did NOT represent this hotel AT ALL! EVERYTHING

    Convenient location, clean, comfortable bed, attentive staff. The desk and maintenance man on site were very responsive and helpful. Our building and room had a worn look to them. The AC cooled the room okay but did not dehumidify well enough. Door locks and coffee maker were broken. (Kudos to front desk and maintenance man for quick and friendly repair& replacement.)

    We had 2 rooms. One of them the door didn’t lock. Only found out the next morning when I just pushed it open. It took them the day to figure x it. I had to put our stuff into the other room. The parking lot had giant crater pot holes. It was treacherous driving through it. It’s our last stay here.

    A call to the fire marshal is next on my agenda. No smoke detector in the room (I have photos) no screens on the 2nd floor windows - (definitely a hazard) Not sure how anyone can say this place is up to code. Pretty run down building. They updated the shower in our room (newer - tile) but saved money by reusing their Toilet Paper dispenser from 1980 (full of rust). Just not up to par.

    Breakfast options were decent. Only suggestion would be some fresh fruit. Room was amazing. Had good wi-fi and staff was friendly and helpful. Minor suggestions...a TV channel guide and a flyer with close by restaurants, coffee shops, etc...Stayed here for 3 nights and would stay again. Definitely recommend.

    The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. Had to walk to another building through the side parking lot. This entrance was secured with a key card which eased the concern. The room was a seven out of ten....clean, but the bathtub looked dirty. There was a lot of people around the other buildings at night. Construction and upgrades being done on forst building. So the property is a work in progress. Once the owner is finished, it will be much nicer If you stay in the second building, I don't think you'll be disappointed. But when you pull up, you may question your decision.

    Staff and rooms were nice. It's an older place with a few cosmetic upgrades. Our door had a boot print on it like it was kicked open. It's walking distance to an ABC store and the Coastal Ale House. It's not a bad place, especially for the rate, but not the best area for a famil.

    The room had an odd odor, the building was in a noisy area, although the room was relatively quiet, and the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. We ended up cancelling the second night and went to another hotel.

    The staff seemed ok, but the hotel itself has declined greatly since the first time I stayed there 4 years ago. A pipe burst in the second building, no hot water except for one short amount of time over two days. No offer to refund either of two rooms. There was literally a small pond in the middle corridor. Fire door was also propped open the entire time, the one that has a sign beside it saying door must remain closed at all times. Lastly, the security latch on the back of the room door was broken off and the dead bolt couldn't lock. Last time we stay there.

    The young man upfront was very helpful. It was clean and warm up front. I needed a copy made and was able to get it. Breakfast was basic the waffles was very good. Would love some boiled eggs for protein or nuts to balance my blood sugar. But, overall it was a great stay and a great price. I will come back and highly recommend this one.

    We were given a room in which the air was broken, there was hair in the tub and mold on the walls. We asked for a refund to go elsewhere and they said no and tried to give us another room . They let us on and told us they would come back with the keys and never did. This room had crumbs all over the desk, and a huge hold on the curtain and smelled like dog food. The guy never came back with the keys, we had to be someone as o had told him so we just left and didn’t come back and got a much better hotel . I have disputed with CC.

    Poor review, they charge you an extra $106 when you check in and they blame it on the 3rd you book thru for not telling you. The check in person was not helpful at all. Due to health concerns we had to check out and find another hotel for the night. I asked for a refund but was told I had to go thru Expedia. I called Expedia and they had to contact the hotel which was a waste of time. I just want my money back

    Check in was frustrating! I entered the office on my walker and they assigned us a 2nd floor room without an elevator, when i questioned it, they gave us a first floor room. We got to the room, the key didn't work! Went back to the desk to rekey the cards. When we got into the room, it had 1 king bed - we had reserved 2 Queen bed room. Triedto call the desk-no answer! Back to the desk for a 2 bed room. When we looked at the key card cover - it had 4 different room numbers on it, all of them marked out except our room.

    The room was in terrible condition. The tub was backing up. When I called the front desk to ask for more towels, they never brought them. The bathroom door didn’t stay shut or locked. The hallway smelled like a urinal.

    When cleaning staff was told shower flooded in to the rest of our room they didn’t speak or understand English and handed me extra towels. The front office was notified of all incidents. This was not our first time and have always been satisfied with the service, but this time both service and customer experience left an unsatisfactory thought and possible return to this location

    Strong sewage smell at one end of the hall, manager said keep your door closed. Nice Keurig coffee maker, no sugar or creamer. Beds were not made next morning, trash can emptied but door left ajar for anyone to enter. Room had been refurbished some time ago and was reasonably clean but the plaster and paint around the air conditioner has peeled off exposing the wood studs.

    I was very scared by the reviews of this hotel. I had no other options since everything thing else was booked for parents weekend. I do not understand all of the negative reviews. JR checked us in and I told him my concerns - he brought me to the room first to make sure I was ok with it. It is completely fine, very clean, sheets were spotless, bathroom was spotless, no bugs, no mold, no bad smell of chemicals or mildew. They are exactly as pictured. For this price I’m not sure what people expect. There was some rust around the door trim in the bathroom and the trim in general is beat up, that did not bother me at all. You cannot beat the location - it is very close to CCU. When we were there, there were no people hanging out around the hotel and we didn’t notice any smell from the two restaurants until the morning we left at 4am and it was not bad. For the price this hotel is more than acceptable. At the last minute I could have gotten a reservation at one of the newer hotels, it would have been $400 more for 3 nights, it was after my allowable cancellation date so could not take it, I’m glad I didn’t. For reference we were in the back building but JR said the only difference is front building has outside door and have kitchenettes, they were all renovated the same time. If you just need a hotel to sleep at night this is a very good option again for the price. There was nothing scary about it.

    We walked into room, checked for bed bugs, and walked out when my daughter found the hair. We weren’t even in the motel for 10 minutes total , They didn’t even offer to refund my money when I explained why we were leaving.

    The first room the refrigerator didn’t work the a/c made the bed shake. No where in the room was the password for the internet. After I complained and asked for a room on the first floor we were able to move. The top floor 400 the hall had a weird smell..The only way to get luggage was to carry it up 2 flights. The stairs were all painted black you should at least paint the outline yellow . Hard to see where the next step was.

    No locks on doors to enter building. Check-in / lobby located at a different building. Urine smell in hallway. Hallways and bending areas filthy. I’ve never stayed in an econo lodge and never will again. We changed our reservation for the second night. Only stayed one night instead of 2 bc we did not feel safe. Room was nor bad.     Overall, the room with two beds was okay. It had the basics and looked fine at first glance. However, there was a strong smell of dampness and mildew not only in the room, but throughout the entire building and hallways on every floor. It was very uncomfortable to stay in that environment. Also, be aware that they charge an additional deposit before check-in, which they say will be refunded later

    This hotel offers continental breakfast but we did not get to try it because it was located in the main building and you have to eat it in their lobby. They do not allow you to take it back to your room. We were in building B so, that was inconvenient. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room did have a strong mildew smell. We bought RIDX to have in the room. It helped a little but the smell was pretty strong.

    Desk receptionist was kind, courteous, and accommodating. He came to see if he could fix my heat. He couldn't, so he brought 2 blankets. The next day he was able to change me to another room.     The room was old and used. The door to the hotel did not lock and anybody can enter the back door right by where our room was. The pool was never open, which is one of the main reasons why we went there. Very disappointed in everything the only decent thing was the morning breakfast

    The pool, listed in the description, was locked and empty. While getting ready for breakfast, housekeeping walked in as we were dressing. Due to the condition of the room and lack of cleanliness, we decided to find another hotel. I spoke to the front desk, explained everything, and was told to return the key for a refund. Since I booked through a third party, I was advised to contact them, but was told the hotel would issue a refund. I checked out and received a receipt showing the refund. However, Hotels.com later informed me that the hotel refused the refund. Despite multiple calls and messages, I haven’t heard back from the hotel manager.

    I was in Conway visiting my son at college. Econo Lodge was close by the school. The cost was reasonable. The room was comfortable and clean. Front desk staff were polite and friendly.

    Having stayed at other properties within only miles of this property, we would say that it was drastically inferior and not at all worth the price difference. The check in office was unattended with a note posted to call for someone to come. When he came, the clerk warned us that the door handle was installed backwards and lifted up. And then made an inappropriate and alarming joke about how that added an extra layer of security for female travelers who might be alone. Our room was in a separate building and the electronic lock on the building to enter did not properly lock. The safety latch on the room door was completely gone and when the clerk came and attached one it was still wobbly to the point where we moved an armoir in front of the door to feel comfortable sleeping. We were given one hotel size bar of soap for both washing your hands and showering. A hand-written note on an envelope was left under the TV asking for tips for housekeeping. The remote control was missing the back cover to keep the batteries in. To be fair the bed was clean, we did not see any bugs in the room and the bed was perfectly comfortable. Absolutely would not stay again. Cancelled a future reservation at the same hotel immediately after leaving.

    We stayed in building B. The main building smells like cigarette and looked like it was a hotel party. I wanted to.cancel my reservation the moment i saw the people there. However, Joe, was so very kind and accomodating. He gave us a room in B building. The room was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. It also did not smell. Please give thanks to your housekeepers! They are amazing. As i was walking by u could smell the cleaning products beinf used and floors mopped very well.

    This place is perfect for the cost. 3 star rating, because you get what you pay for. The room got the job done - a place to sleep and shower. For the inexpensive cost, I would stay there again. My only complaint, the room had a little bit of a musty smell, but a little perfume spray into the air conditioning vent helped.

    Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, the staff at the desk was pleasant and check in was quick. Upon checking into rooms one of the rooms we were given when we entered the bed was unmade, TV on and room keys on the table. Twice during our stay we had to go to the front desk because our keys would not work to get into the room. Went to the complimentary breakfast and it was minimal and not appetizing, the pool was not open. The door that the sign says need room key to open never locked. I would not recommend this hotel

    I didn't like that the door that is supposed to be locked was unlocked all the time. It was located across the street from a mental health clinic. What I did like was the front desk staff were down to earth pleasant people to deal with. I liked the proximity to the university. I liked the accommodations and the bathroom appeared to be updated recently.

    Im from out of state & i was very impressed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful newly remodled & very clean. The bed is very comfortable. I got a fridge/microwave/all the basics. I was also pleased w/ how friendly the front desk staff was. Forrest is the best! He went out of his way to be kind, accommodating, very reassuring & helpful.     Still waiting for the $106 security deposit to be returned to my card. I don’t expect to see it. Ac/heater was busted off of the wall and didn’t work. Coating peeling off of the tub. Paneling on bathroom door peeling. Vending machine was empty. No staff in the building. It is separate from the main building. Staff was very kind.

    The property had such a bad chemical smell that we felt sick and couldn’t stay even one night. There were strange men hanging outside our door in the back where we entered. The refrigerator was broken and so we the phone. The bathroom door was also broken and wouldn’t close. We have asked for a full refund.

    after booking the room was told by the front desk there would be 100 deposit fee but we would get our money back as soon as we checked out as long as we didnt smoke or mess up the room, we had been out all dayband i didnt want my family to be tired while i searched for a room so I agreed because we wouldnt do either. Shortly after we left all day didnt come back until 12 am where we went immediately to sleep because we had to wake up at 10 and drive back home. When returning to the front desk it was an older white guy who assured me again that I would get my deposit back because again, we didnt smoke or do anything in the room. He said he had to go check it and i said okay and waited. Upon his return he gave me stern look and said we cant give you your deposit back because you were smoking tobacco in the room ( i dont even smoke or use tobacco products) which i disagreed and kept saying it wasnt weed but tobacco for some reason but i dont do either and insisted there were invisible ashes in there but did not wanna show me them. Also said he couldnt smell anything but his "housekeepers" who spoke no english all they smelled was tobacco. After discussing this for 20 minutes i see the conversation wasnt going anywhere and they kept insisting i smoked in a room with my 7 year old child in the room with me. Terrible owners money hungry please if you are black dont fall for the same trap i did

    First, when we arrived, it looked nice on the outside going into our room. Our bathroom smells like bleach with a hint of urine. The blankets in the bed smelled kind of funny. There were people at the pool smoking weed when we went to check out they said our room smelled like weed we don’t smoke weed. They kept $100 deposit and threatened to call the sheriff if we didn’t believe so he can come prove that the room smelled like weed, nobody had time for any drama. We were just trying to get away and have fun with our friends at the beach. Beware I kept the 100 cash for himself!!! Shower kept overflowing every time we took a shower did go down to the front desk. No one was there so we figured we only stayed for two nights just to get away, but just beware read the reviews before you stay and be careful with the deposits. I feel like Steve took our deposit. The man that checked us in was so pleasant and nice.

    I had to unexpectedly leave one day early because of the unusual IT issues with flights . The lodge REFUSED to refund my one night. I understand the the refund policy but these were definitely unusual circumstances. They are uncaring and unwilling to bend. Would never ever stay at another Econo lodge. Unsafe environment and they treat their customers poorly. Very disappointed in the whole experience

    Asked me for a security deposit upon check in even though I had paid for the room already. Never got it credited back to my card. They were “busy” when I checked out - both clerks (one not dressed professionally at all) were outside smoking while there was another customer inside waiting on a clerk and others eating the breakfast. The not professionally dressed gentleman “helped” me checkout although the other clerk was using the computer for the waiting customer. Told me they’d credit me back and have a nice day. Still haven’t received that deposit back and I’m still not sure why one was even necessary.

    It is a 'no frills' it and suited my purpose. I chose it for the cost. . The place requires so much needed maintenance upgrades. Bathroom door are splintered. Breakfast was poor. The main entrance door did not lock at at all. When I told the manager she informed me that they keep it unlock because it is easier for police and ambulance to enter the building. The coffee pot in room did not work. The made service did a horrible job at cleaning the room while we were staying there. The staff was pleasant .

    The location to where I needed to be and a great cofffee shop behind the hotel. It felt dirty and dingy and very loud outside, kids screaming, music blasting, tvs blasting and doors open.     The bagel at the free breakfast was fresh, that's about it. The room was on the ground floor just a few feet away from the parking lot. The toilet would continue running after a flush until you jiggled the handle. The bottom of the tub/shower was dirty and we cleaned it ourselves. The area was so noisy we did not sleep well. We decided to leave a day early (which cost us over $100) and drive the 6 hours back home because we knew we would not get the rest we planned for.
