The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable and we slept well. But the overall facility is much older and run down and doesn't look great. It's also kind of back off around the highway in a little bit of what looks like a run down area. The pictures online made it look way better than it is. The milk I grabbed one morning and took back to my room ended up being sour. And one last very odd thing that may have nothing to do with this place: they asked for my credit card when I checked in, even though I had paid in full days before, and then the very next day I had $750 in fraudulent purchase attempts by a "GPS Hospitality" on my credit card, that my credit union alerted me to. That may have nothing to do with this establishment, but it's a tremendously odd coincidence. It worked for a couple of nights sleep, but I would not go there again. It's more like a place for somebody that's on the road and just needs to duck in for one night's sleep and get in and go the next morning.

I liked about the place was the pool was well kept. I think the staff overall would score high on their greeting. The room was fairly clean. Breakfast food was good. I saw grounds staff trying to trim bushes. There are cameras on site... The parts I didnt like is there are no housekeepers. Never saw one in 4 day stay. During my 4 daycstay with my teen son, we had 3 washcloths and and 3 towels. The last night I requested 2 more washcloths from the main office. The worker questioned my use of the cloths. I stated there was only 3. He then stated he needed my used/dirty washcloths for me to get clean ones! This was the most ridiculous response i have EVER heard staying in a hotel. I repeated back, " Are you actually saying I have to go get my dirty wascloths to get 2 more clean ones"? He then said, its okay ill get them first, then returned and said you can wait till you check out. I also commentec with 'you also have no room service'(crickets). My friend staying there too, as I booked two rooms but they couldnt put our rooms next to each other. She had simular experience with request for a towel as it fell in toilet. Absurd! I didnt like that staff literally chased you out ONE minute after breakfast hours, even while you arrived EARLY and got your food in time (like 8:40), but literally at 9:01 the staff told us we needed to leave as breafast was over. The hotel is under a renovation, no elevator so be prepared to tug your luggage up a flight of stairs. There is a decent portion of the hotel not working & has gate falling down in the back with high weeds. Its good for construction workers to use this place, which was alot of them. I would not stay there again.

Easy access to all the things we planned to do. Easy accessibility if you get a first floor room. Water was coming from the ceiling in the shower with increasing intensity and eventually was bubbled down like the ceiling was going to give way. 3 men came to look at it and said it was “fine” and “normal”. The explanation was that the water runs to the shower head then back in to the ceiling then out the shower head again. Completely ignoring that the water was coming out of the ceiling and soaking the floor too. The carpets were so gross your socks were instantly black. No elevator for 2nd floor rooms

Clean The pillows were cheap and not comfortable at all. Wasn’t allowed to get breakfast because it closed at 9:00 am. I arrived at 1:15 am and wasn’t aware of breakfast hours. At 9:15 when I realized breakfast was an option was told it had closed for the day. Disappointed about that

The bed was comfortable. Fridge was cold. Ac worked great. We were there for just over 12 hours. Everything was very clean. My husband works for pest control company and thoroughly inspected it and found no bugs of any kind. 10/10 will stay there again next year for the sncity show.. Thank you again for a wonderful budget friendly stay! I would like for there to be vent/exhaust fan for the bathroom. And some protein (sausage, baxon, ham. Even eggs) Other than that, everything was great!

This is not somewhere you would want to stay no matter the price (and I paid quite a bit).

We have stayed at other Quality Inns, this one was by far the nicest one.. some of them are literally "no tell motels" this one was definitel not.. the room was modern, clean, with miminul noise.. it was like a sample room.. the sheets where clean and white, the bed really did have a very comfortable pillow top.. the walls looked freshly painted.. the bathroom was spotless.. the people at the front desk were friendly and accommodating.. will be our go to the next time we are in the area.

The bed was too hard for us. It would be good for someone who likes very firm mattress. We just prefer soft and cozy. So we didn't sleep too well. Our bathroom sink had a slow drain. The sink would fill half way up before it would go back down..

They require a cash deposit upon check in. Apparently you are supposed to retrieve your deposit at checkout. They refused to refund the deposit to my payment card or mail me a check, so I must return to the hotel in person to pick up my deposit. Very inconvenient!

The front desk attendant was anything but hospitable. The reserved room was more frigid than outdoors. The room temperature did not improve even at the maximum heat setting. Checked in in the early morning around 3am and needed rest. Hoped the room temp would be ideal when waking up, but did not change much. Informed the front desk of the heating situation, and he responded with a question. Unsatisfactory. I would rather leave this comment. Contact me directly if you would like to discuss further.

I guess it is just what it is. The room was ok. My boyfriend had the worst allergic reaction as soon as he laid in bed. We had to spend the night at the hospital in the ER. When I checked out, later that day I realized I had left my camera inside the room. I called and they told me to call the next day after they cleaned the room and I did. They said the camera wasn’t there. I tried calling again for the next two days and they just said the room was cleaned that day and it wasn’t found and then after that 2 other guests stayed there. Great place to recover from surgery at Kannapolis Medical which is minutes away. Clean, quiet and easy access to rooms on the first floor. Staff is kind and hard working. Mall and many restaurants nearby so hubby didn’t get bored. it all worked out great!

My only complaints was breakfast was bare bones, yogurt and plain waffles, but I don't care that much, as well as I wished the shower floor had a non slip coating. But, hotel was clean, comfy, ac was cold when I needed it to be, the shower was hot when I needed it to be. I would stay again. Killer deal.

The hotel is a basic roadside hotel. It was clean and there had been upgrades. The bed and bath were fine but other furniture was worn. Breakfast was a very basic continental style. Since I was just stopping to sleep and get on my way in the morning, this hotel worked out just fine

There was a very stale and damp smell. I kept the door open for an hour and it smelled better, but when we left and returned it was worse. The only other thing was the Sat. desk staff. Although I was treated respectfully, i witnessed a woman whose brother had fallen ill while staying there and thw woman reported her brother is in the ICU. It must have happened some time before. The women came to claim her brother's belonging. She was told his things were at the dumpster. The woman just said ok. There was no scene, just a quiet thanks. After leaving, the desk staff repeated the encounter twice to other staff and 'spiced it up a bit' giving the impression of a conflict. I don't know if her brother was problematic, had a debt, etc. But, the sister did not deserve defamation, especially because her response was very demure. A level of empathy and compassion was warranted. Saying all that, PLEASE know I'd return as a guest. Dampness in the room can be resolved. A reminder of customer service excellence can be quickly addressed and moved on.

It is not a brand new property but it appears they have remodeled at some point. Room was very clean, staff very nice, good price and can walk to some food and shopping. AC worked perfectly, had to set the temp higher because I was freezing when I first turned it on. Felt very safe as a solo traveler as they have multiple working cameras. I will stay here again when in the area.

The breakfast was minimal, not a lot of choices, I didn’t expect a grand layout but theirs was not the best I’ve seen. Especially after our stay at a Quality Inn in Boise,ID.

Price and cleanliness, the linen was clean and crisp, bathroom also was very clean and shiny.

the lobby isn't accessible outside of breakfast hours, which means there's no public restroom. they'll rush you out of breakfast (at least other hotels i've been to give you time to finish eating as they put stuff away). also, one of the cleaning ladies peered into my window, even though i had a "do not disturb" sign on my door. i had my shirt off, but at least had my swimming shorts on, which i gueas kind of made up for it. still, that was an invasion of privacy. on the flip side, the hotel was clean, and the pool was nice. it also had a weight room. overall, the hotel was ok, but the service and amenities did not match the price i paid to stay there.

Check-in was quick and efficient, other then cleaning the toilet the room was fine. Checking out was TERRIBLE, you can't check out before 9 am and if you do then you wont get your deposit back and that lady at the desk was very very rude. Will NOT be back

Upon check-in, we were informed the king bed that was reserved was not available. We took a room with two double beds and get to the room, there was no AC running so we turned it on. 1 1/2 hrs later the room temperature had not gotten below 80. Called the front desk and someone came to the room and felt the air conditioner and said it is blowing cold air and the room temperature is acceptable in this room. Being optimistic, we went for a late lunch, and when we returned, the room still had not cooled down. We called the front desk and was informed they have no other rooms available. We went to the front desk, and was told they would check us out, however they would not refund the hotel stay for that night. The customer service was terrible. The room was disgusting and smelt like urine when you walked on the laminate floor if you had socks on, they were black, and if your feet were bare, when you got in the shower, it was a black stream of water. Furthermore, neither the customer service at Choice hotels or anyone from hotels.com could help solve the fact I was charged 107.00 for a room that we could not stay in. The problem is still not resolved and it appears it will not be. I would STRONGLY recommend booking with any hotel in the area except this one. We moved to the Hampton Inn. The feeling of being taking advantage of by a company was real. FYI all Choice hotels are independently owned and the customer service number can not do anything and it must be done by the owner.

I came to NC for a convention and booked this place because the host hotel was sold out. Check-in was quick, the service was very friendly and the accommodations were clean and comfortable with a pool - which came in handy due the extreme heat and humidity. I'd stay here again. Free breakfast was a bonus and there are plenty of places to eat and shop in the area. It's also right off the highway exit.

Hotel staff was terrible, non smoking room reeked of smoke.

Property was good. Staff periodically made rounds on the premises to keep an eye on things. Only negative is the rooms that face the parking for those with trailers & uhauls are smoking rooms. I was a bit shocked to see a hotel still offering smoking rooms but then I remembered I was in tobacco alley and it made sense. Stayed in a non smoking room but was able to step outside the room to check in on my vehicles.

The property has been recently renovated. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff was very professional and friendly........The pool was a highlight of our visit. Will be staying again.

Just Ok, not great, truly a place to flop, not a bad room but the AC was pretty weak, was hot during our sleep, cast of characters walking around the place, left my charger in the wall with the cord hanging on the chair, they have my name address and phone number, I can only assume that the cleaning crew now has my charger, any reputable place would have contacted me by now and said sir we found your charger that you left in the room would you like us to mail it to you, cuz we're not called Quality Inn for no reason, but that hasn't happened oh well,

You can see that they are doing great upgrades to the place. It might need some touch up on outside but room was great

Good value - room was nice, staff helpful

Rooms look better than the outside definitely. Room seems to be remodeled and done well. Bed hard as a rock and AC noisy but that drowned out the noisy neighbors so win win. Didn’t get in the pool because of weather but looks very nice. All and all not a bad place. Just needs cosmetic work and better beds.

It was a bit run down, the location wasn’t the best, but the staff at check in were very nice. Our room appeared clean. There was some other guests fighting loudly in the morning, but I guess that happens. We slept great. Coffee from the lobby was good.

It didn’t have an elevator I should have checked into that before I made reservations. Also, they have a pest problem that needs to be taken care of.

The area felt a little sketchy. It isn’t necessarily a place that a woman such as myself would want to travel to alone. The room was clean but a little stinky and we had some issues with the television along with the tub drain not sealing so we couldn’t take baths. Other than that, kinda get what you pay for.

We were on a little road trip, you see, and after a long day of driving (I told the wife we were making good time, she just sighed), we needed a place to rest our weary heads. We pulled up to the Quality Inn, and the first thing I noticed was... well, it looked like a hotel! Haha! But seriously, it had a nice curb appeal. I almost asked the building, "Hey, are you single? Because you look suiteable!" Still working on that one. Checking in was a breeze. The folks at the front desk were friendly and efficient. They didn't check out my jokes, but they did get us our keys quickly. I told the clerk, "I hope our room is clean, because I'm tired of dirty looks!" He just smiled. I think he appreciated my commitment to comedy. We got up to the room, and it was just what the doctor ordered! It was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The bed looked so inviting, I wanted to jump right in! But I restrained myself. I didn't want to make a scene! Get it? Make a... never mind. The pillows were fluffy, the sheets were crisp... I knew I was going to get a good night's sleep in! This room was definitely a rest stop for success!

There was NO crazy smells and the bed was ok. Pillows could have been newer but they WERE NOT horrible. (Im a pillow snob). The staff was VERY friendly, both check in and out. Breakfast was basic but at least they offered it. Very quiet and a positive was all the cameras of the entire property at the front desk. I felt very safe knowing that they were there. Overall my stay was great. I was by myself and didn't have an issue going to sleep. Great location. Literally right off of the exit. The only maybe downfall but NOT negative is the room was a joining room BUT the door padlocked.

The air-conditioning was noisy and kept me up for most of the night. Had to take a smoking room because there were no non-smoking available for the night and the scent of smoke was unpleasant. Breakfast was okay and the room clean though.

Staff was great, room was amazing, quiet, decent breakfast for a hotel. Price was a little steep for a quality inn but overall great place to stay!

The property was very clean 👌 the beds were really small but very comfortable 👌 and great customer service until the day of checkout. For example. Just seconds before i was checking out there was another customer checking out and i could hear there conversation as it got heated between the clark at the desk and the men was checking out from the room that was just next to where i was staying. I can see from when i awake one morning and come from my room. There were two or three towels lying outside of the door next to my door with blood on them. And i had wondered what had happened. Turns out that the lady that was staying in the room next to me some how had been injured on the leg and bleeding. The man used two or look like three of the towels for the lady injury. The clark told the occupant with the stain towels that he could not get his deposit back because the bloody towels would have to be discussed. That was the worst thing I could have heard. I was livid with disbelief. But i just listened because as they argued i couldn't checkout. So the person talking to the clark ask to speak to a manager. The clark called a person on the phone who told him to give the man his deposit. The clark returned the deposit but told the man that the next time he is there no matter what happens if a towel has blood and must be thrown out he would not get back his deposit. I was in disbelief. That was the only bad thing i can say about my stay there. I am afraid to go back there because

Convenient for short stay

Very old hotel that had been made to look much nicer in the photos. Our feet were higher than our head in our bed, and the room reaked of cigarette smoke. Do evidence of bugs and it was decently clean, but it was definitely not the stay we were expecting.

It was an overall okay stay but one of the very old style hotels I actually didn't think was around anymore. Drink machine didn't work. Very close to a lot of food places, great choices!!

Was definitely disappointed. The front desk clerk was pretty rude from the beginning. 300 cash deposit was a little insane considering the overall environment. My room type that I requested got switched up because I had a service pet (that I had to pay a fee for).

As a paying customer, I expect all things to be in proper working order and if they are not, the business needs to rectify it. I will absolutely not stay there again and recommend no one else does. THEY DO NOT care about your business!!!

The property had high reviews. However was lucky to be average. Room had an odd odor, breakfast was served 6-9 - we arrived at 8:40 and was sternly greeted that “everything would be put away in 20 minutes… no exceptions “
