Good for what i Need it!!

The ac was messed up leaking water all in the floor an the toilet wouldn't fill back up with water to flush again we shouldn't have been charged for the stay. The mattress had three mattress covers trying to hide how nasty the mattress was an how many stains was on there I looked up past reviews an it's said there were previous roaches in there but we had our on bad experiences

Mattresses were very worn out with multiple divits in them stove and microwave looked very unsafe with rust in microwave and possible mold bathroom light flickering very nauseating smell in stairwell and hallway

It was the cheapest room for the night, and that's exactly what it was. No frills. Beds were hard as a rock. Things were just bare minimums.

There are shops nearby, we didn't have a car so we could walk. Most of the staff was friendly and the people there were awesome. Pool was closed. Rooms were nice and clean. You can't be out in the smoking area late, which was strange to me if you are not bothering anyone. But, overall it was a great stay, mostly because of the other people we met who were also staying there. Very pleasant. If we are ever in Concord again we will stay here

I have stayed there a couple times because it has been convenient but with some of the troubles I may try and find elsewhere to stay.

Rooms were clean but dated. Staff was very nice. Room was unfortunately next to staircase and other travelers weren’t very considerate.

I was not able to stay because they cancelled my reservation.

As far as customer service the gentleman at the front desk during check-in was very accommodating and helpful. The property overall needs attention, poorly kept grounds by show of age and wear. There were numerous broken or damaged items such as the handrail in the elevator was broken, the cabinet door in our room was broken only held on by one screw, lack of paint and wall conditions (minor holes, scuffs, etc)and no wash rags provided (just towels and hand towels). We stayed here since it was close to the Charlotte Motor Speedway and were thrilled with the close proximity. On a positive note we felt the room rates were fair based on the condition of the property. For a "dry" and affordable place to stay near the speedway this was "acceptable" for myself and my son.

The location is great. There's lots of rooms. The pool looked nice, but it wasn't open, although it looked like they were working to get it open for the season. Security is great. Felt safe. Having to have the room keys reset all the time was kind of a pain. Most places have upgraded from those because of that. Also, I don't know if it was coming from the air conditioner or the pool or just all the rain, but there was water weeping up through the floorboards occasionally here and there throughout the weekend you would walk through the room and all of a sudden, the floor was wet. We saw a nail in there so it looks like there's been some kind of a repair. I don't know if it's still in progress or not but I just wanted to bring that to someone's attention.

The staff was excellent and it's obvious housekeeping does what they can, but this is an old property that needs updating. The amenity is a small bar of soap. I heard everything not only in the next room, but every sound from the entire floor. It wasn't the least expensive option but from a flight cancelation, it was an obvious choice close to the Concord airport.

Front dedk lady at check in was a bit rude. Room was not clean, room was very worn down. Pillow was brown hidden in pillow case and next morning saw 2 roaches crawling around on walls.

Mall nearby. Hotel clean inside. outside needs maintained after dark I observed drinking and drug activity out back of motel so I want stay there alone. The mattress was to hard so was the pillows. TV stations were mostly news nothing we watched so i used my tablet for entertainment. Looks like a lot of people reside there so I want stay there again unless they change the environment. There is no pool either. I can only give them a three star.

Not the fanciest stay but it was comfortable. The bed not as comfortable as I would’ve liked and also the tv cannot be connected to streaming services such as Netflix; But The room was very spacious and the kitchenette helpful.

Cheap. We were attending the zMax Drag Racing event, which was only a mile down the road from the hotel, so was also perfect as we walked there. It’s showing now its age, so would benefit from a refurbishment. This extended to the rooms which were very basic, and aging fixtures & fittings. The air con unit was very noisy so had to be turned off to sleep. There was also quite a bit of noise from within the hotel each night / early morning (bangs and crashes, plus trolleys).

Love the location of thus motel. I still here 3 or 4 times a year. I I understand they have policies but charging m e $25.09 to check in at 130 instead of waiting till 3 pm I thought was a little pickish.

Lots of shopping but a very low class property and rude staff. They dont even cleam your room daily nor at all.

Fell into a situation and had no where to go with my children. The staff allowed me to pay for a week and told me to come renew the day before or the day of check out. When I attempted to renew I was told that I couldn’t because of a race that was coming to town, now I have no where to go with my children. On top of there being roaches in the room. I had to purchase a mop and broom in order to clean the room properly. Staff acted as if we were bothering them and they didn’t want to do their jobs.

My room was clean and in good overall condition. I have stayed here several times in the past, and will continue to do so when in the area.

Hotel had my reservation ready, room was clean and comfortable with good internet service. Close to the Charlotte Motor Speedway and dinner options.

We stay here once or twice a year. This is where we stay when we're in Charlotte.

This place is ridiculously old, the stove is from the sixties, the room smelt like paint. The bed was hard. The hallway smelled like marijuana, constant loudness no peaceful rest at all. I would not give this place any stars! The clerk at checkin was very noisy and did not explain the rate policy at check in, she only explained after she took my payment and I noticed an increase. Go somewhere else to get some rest.

It’s a decent price for the room there’s stores and restaurants close by easy check out Rooms a lil dirty like the walls the bed was clean every thing seems to be outdated and old things in the room there to be fix smoke detector hanging off the wall

But they are priced accordingly, with a discount of 30% to 70% off regular chain prices, like Marriott, Hilton, Doubletree. I have found the price-quality tradeoff bearable. This is the first such property to which I am giving four stars (the max before has been three). The key reasons are its staff, particularly: 1) Tierra, who checked us in, and changed our room to a less "rickety" one upon request, and 2) Amanda Smalley, Assistant Manager, who worked out a refund when we had to leave Charlotte earlier than planned. And Hotels.com just washed its hands of our booking, passing the buck entirely to the hotel, even though the booking was through them (shame on you, Hotels.com). There was the expected disrepair and age. The washers and dryers worked, although it would be nice to have vended detergent. There was a fridge, which we found helpful for groceries to save money on meals, and the outlets did all work. The staff replaced towels on request, and we could have had housekeeping on request.

It was clean and convenient It’s so noisy! My room was right next to the front desk and vending machines. The front door makes way too much noise when it slams shut. That was frustrating hearing it constantly all hours of the day and night. There was an assault and police activity but they handled it well.

We have been staying here for several years now for the World of Outlaws event. Everyone has always been great, and it's a great place for this event-very close to the track!

Easy check-in. Easy parking. Nicely located. Friendly staff. We’ve stayed here twice. The first room was an updated room, which was definitely 10 out of 10. The second day we stayed in an older room which I would write about a six out of 10, but both rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint about this property as I wish that they included coffee pots with the mini kitchen.

This place has people living there ..loud in the hallways. I got very very sick here and was extending daily as I saw how I felt...would make me get up and go down to sign paperwork while spreading my germs all around. Not much personal touch. All business and not very kind

I stopped in to ask about early check in and had to stand and wait at the desk for 10 mins, then was told I could check in early but would have to pay an extra 25.00 an hour before check in time I said I would wait and left. 30 mins later there was a message on my phone that Josh (the front desk clerk) tried to charge my card for my stay but it did not go through and they would only hold my room until 230 unless other arrangements were made even though check in is at 3pm. Fortunately I was able to check in and Kevin was very nice. In the room when stepping on the bathroom floor water was seeping up through, and non of the lights would turn on and then the hallway was slowly flooding. I told Kevin and he took care of us right away and was very nice about it. The downfall to this was the overwhelming smell of weed.

Dirty floors, bathroom, water damage in bathroom, around door, sink, shower. The windows had dog prints and slobber on them. Kitchen was gross, oven top was greasy and rusty. We booked for two nights and left first thing in the morning after 1st night. The place is so bad. Complete gut and remodel is the only option. Don't stay at this place

The mattresses are absolutely terrible and should have been replaced 10 yrs ago. A lot of the guests were extremely loud thru the night, slamming room doors, kids screaming in the stairwell and running back and forth down the halls upstairs, for what seemed like hours.

Have have stayed in several hotels, I will say that this hotel was the dirtiest one have ever stay in. There was a roach smash on the wall and was not cleaned off, I also killed one on the floor. The room it self was very nasty. I will never stay at this named hotel ever again. I will stay in my truck, before I would stay in this named hotel.

I responded to the email about the declined charge and said i would pay when i check in. Got to the hotel and the clerk tells me "someone received the response but the hotel cancelled" the one night reservation. They had no rooms and my friend and i had to drive 4 hours home in the middle of the night.

The lady that checked us in was one of the best people we've ever had to work with. The two men that ran the desk during the day, however, was some the worst.

THERE needs to be smoking dispensers in each smoking area for the cigarette filters which are literally everywhere because of no permanent smoking dispenser at each door/ area. Also the landscaping looks like the walking dead. THERE ARE ROACHES EVERYWHERE at nighttime around the bushes. It’s unhealthy and gross. Also the washing machines have messed up my clothes twice. They are very outdated. I’m not being unappreciative because without yall I’m homeless with my disabled daughters. I’m so happy for yall. It is my HOME FOR NOW as I go through this chapter. I just can’t help but to be honest in my review. Thanks for listening

I checked out as soon as I checked in. Management is horrible to deal with. They make you sign a contract about no smoking but it’s clearly happening everywhere inside! I checked out as soon as I checked in. Management is horrible to deal with. They make you sign a contract about no smoking but it’s clearly happening everywhere inside! The place doesn’t even feel safe.

I really enjoy staying at this property,. Doesn’t have a lot of added amenities but very clean the staff is very cooperative. Then there is also the fact that it’s close to everything and it’s right off the highway. For the price and location it’s actually a hidden gem, not gonna find anything better for the price location and overall service.

How is this considered a suite that has a stove, but nothing in the room? No utensils, glasses, paper towels. Nothing! Sheets were dirty, washcloth had food particles on it. Outlet sparked when i plugged my charger in it. Ants were also on the bed. Disgusting!

This is s clean but stark property. Kitchens but no utensils, pots, pans, anything really except hand soap and towels. No shampoo or coffee or coffee makers. Nothing. Reminded me of a Woodspring Suites. Where I won't be staying again either.

My family isn’t picky. I would like point out that pots and pans were not available for kitchen and upon arrival there was a dying roach in the corner of the room. At least it was dying so there is that.

This facility was old & well worn! Biggest complaint was a very dirty floor which the staff couldn't seem to get clean but I had no problem when I used one of their hand towels. We slept well & I was glad to have a little kitchen which I used several times during our stay. FYI, you must bring your own dishes, pots & pans, etc. They charge a hefty deposit which I had to call them to get it back. Positive! I left a "pitcher" in the cabinet as I was met at the door at checkout time & hurried out. ( A first). They did hold on to the pitcher until I could make arrangements for it to be picked up by a friend in the area.

I realize this an older property and was inexpensive, but should be in a little better condition. The front desk clerk at check in was polite and efficient. I am glad that I didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. I should have taken pictures, but really didn’t think about it.

After walking past all the do not smoke signs on the doors, the entire hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. The walls were yellow with nicotine, there were bugs in the shower, the floors were sticky, the matress was unbearable, and everything was so loud outside our room. Not to mention the AC quit working halfway through the night and it all became hot and humid. I've never stayed somewhere so bad and if we had another option for the one night, we would have done it. Not sure who slashed the curtain but our ladybug friend seemed to be enjoying herself.

I understand this is an older place but the window leaked. Pillows got wet on the bottom during the night. Could have been cleaner. Smelled like it has been wet for awhile

Traveler beware - party in parking lot arrived at midnight still going when we decided at 4am after bei ng on the phone with the front desk to drive the 3hrs back home and not stay in this place, room filled with , call front deck (oh yeah no phones in room) no support or concern even though we felt unsafe. Room smelled like old cigarette smoke, very out dated, staff beyond unprofessional

We were halfway through a 2 hour drive to see the racing at zMax when the hotel called and cancelled our booking. We had to scramble to find a different hotel. Very poor performance.

I stayed from April 24 thru 28 for the NHRA Four Wide at Zmax Dragstrip and I had a good time, The room was nice and I also plan on attending another race event in September and hope i can also HomeTowne Studios and Suites as my Home while there again.

This hotel is a get what you pay for type of room. Old, out dated, lumpy mattress, and stinky. The floors were dirty, the bathroom was dirty.

Room wasn't cleaned had wet towels in the closet and dirt and dust on the tables food in the cabinet bathroom has mold in toilet and shower

Do not waste your money here....this is less than a 1 star hotel. I checked in around 4 pm and checked out at 7 pm the same day. It was dirty, burn marks on the bathroom sink, floors were filthy, & looked run down and small...nothing like I thought based on reading the reviews! It's a trick, dont trust any reviews that say this place is a good choice! False advertisement!!

Stayed at many Red Roof Inn. This one was not the best, not the worst. Could be cleaner. Needs attention to detail. Would probably stay again due to value and kitchenette. Great location for Race or shopping fans.

This is a typical budget hotel, so I wasnt expecting much. However it did exceed my expectations. It was generally clean with well laundered linen. There was plenty of hot water, and the staff particularly Hazel were helpful. She gave a lovely welcome. The room was large, the bed I used was comfortable and the microwave was relatively new compared to the other appliances in the room though hadn't been cleaned after the previous occupant. It had been refurbished and that was fine except for the built up grime around the taps [fawcets] etc. Hole in drapes. The air con was noisy and dirty. Luckily I was there at a time when the nights were cool so didnt need it on. There was no floor covering in the hallways to deaden any passing noise but it was generally quieter than I expected though this was not a 'sports weekend'. There were traces of builders streaks in the elevator [lift] and on stairs which could easily have been wiped away. I would stay there again, as it is good value for money, and I was out most of the day, but best to keep expectations low.

I had to pay 60 dollars to check into an already clean room like 2-3 hours early. No room service, you had to take your towels up to the service desk to get more. The morning of due to work I asked to pay a late fee so I could come back and pick my family up. No, I couldn’t do that. Most hotels are either gracious or allow you to pay a late fee. Not this one! Also the morning of we tried to get new towels to wash up before work and hitting the road instantly told no because we were checking out at 11. So I asked could we not clean up before we leave he responded “I normally don’t do this but for you this time I will!” Wow! So bring your own towels or go home dirty the morning of checkout! I tried to get my patients settled and rushed to get my mom and children before 11, ran a few minutes behind at 11:08 they were put outside so the room could get cleaned for someone else. Which I totally understand. After a weeks stay it just wasn’t family friendly or work friendly for me! Where was this cleaning crew all week, they only appear on move out day.

Typically people want to actually be able to sleep when they book a hotel from out of state. There was construction going on waking us up at 5AM! the room REAKED of cigarette smoke, despite being a "non smoking" room. Anime detector was chirping low better when we arrived, which is concerning. Staff just disconnected it of the wall.... Total safety hazard, especially since there was clearly people smoking in the building. Room was dusty and fridge has food residue from past use. If we weren't desperate we would have left within 15 minutes or checking in and requested an immediate refund.

I have stayed before, location is great. Price even better. This time it was quite a bit louder.

Staff was friendly, a lot of necessary stuff nearby like Walmart, restaurants gas etc so location very convenient. The bed was comfy and the kitchen stuff worked. Place reeked of weed, but that didn't really bother me, my room itself didn't get overwhelmed by it. Could hear neighbors walking above but overall it was fine, good enough to be comfortable and not pissed off but not ideal lol....

The room was overall not clean. The bathroom flooded when you showered, so we had to clean up the water with our towels. We asked the maid for new towels and she said no and that we had to go to the front desk between 4-9. So I went down and they said they had to wash them and we had to wait. We barely had toilet paper so I asked for another roll and they said they did not have any but they could offer us napkins. So we had to go buy our own toilet paper. The room was nonsmoking, but it smelled of cigarettes and there were burn marks around the room. Just stay somewhere else because this place did not even deserve one star.

The bathroom I had to go buy towels due to the ones there were dirty, and had some sticky clear stuff. I turned on the water it was black but it clear up.

The room smelled of death to the point of making me physically sick and the staff was very unhelpful

staff were very nice, the sink in my room looked poorly spackled to the wall and held up by poles that weren’t even secured to the ground. other than that, everything was as good as you would hope for in a hotel :).

The vents were full of dust. The room was a decent size and the bed was ok, but not the most comfortable, but also not the worst we have ever had. The 2nd night there, we saw 2 roaches and killed them ourselves. They were huge too! The shower/tub could definitely have used a way better cleaning and we felt like were were 15 years back when only those skinny hand soap bars were provided. The shower water/pressure itself was fine.

Roaches everywhere and new smells that assault your nostrils whenever you leave and come back.

I was highly disappointed with my stay. The room I was in had mold all over the bathroom. The paint was chipping revealing where they painted over mold spots. The door was extremely damaged. The tub was dirty around the drain. If my budget was not limited and I had not paid the deposit prior to getting the room I would have left. The room also smelled of mold and smoke.

Location is very accessible to highway I85 and Concord Mills Parkway. Lots of places to eat. Front desk clerk very nice. ….. The lobby floor was filthy. The carpets on the hallway appear that had not been cleaned for a week. Elevator floor and walls dirty and all marked up with scratches. Lots of noise on the hallway. Garbage bags outside rooms. Room kitchen counter with broken pieces. Inside of microwave dirty. walls around bathroom fixtures were patched up instead of fixed properly. Paint drops on floors and bathroom safety bars. The place felt like a low income apartment project. Ran down. Room had no ironing board nor iron. When I asked for one. the front desk gave me a broken iron that leaked water.

When booking our stay, was not informed of security deposit that needed to be paid at check-in. The TV was too small and no counter for toiletries in the bathroom. Convenient to eating establishments.

Great staff

The entire place was very run down and dirty. We had to sweep our room, it smelled like weed, there was a brown stain on the sheets. Also the springs from the mattress hurt our back

It is very close to the speedway. The property needs a little repair. The one door slams and our room door sticks.

We have stayed with them for several years now for the races. Always had a great experience. Staff are helpful and accommodating. See you next year!
