The staff were polite. However the actual rooms have not had a remodel since the 1990's or earlier. The fixtures in the tub were pulled from the mounts, the wi-fi is substandard, and the floor was not carpet but something else that was sticky and retained dirt. I will not stay at a Howard Johnsons again.

If I could give this a no start I would. The first room they gave wasn't even cleaned fully, but the second room was worse. One of the beds were broken, there was no hot water! And there was and awful smell. The rooms are old and need more then a half assed paint job. Front desk did nothing after switching us the first time. Thankfully my son got us a different hotel the next day. Was not offered a refund or apology.

I booked a Deluxe room with two beds for three people... but the sheets were very stiff, and the mattress wasn't very comfortable. There were towels for only one person, and the shampoo and soap were far too miniature—barely enough for a single person. As for the coffee maker, there was no outlet on the table to plug it into, and there were supplies to make only one cup of coffee. The refrigerator NEVER cooled down the bottles of water and juice I had purchased. Furthermore, the staff wasn't very friendly.

Hotel was a bit old looking from the outside but once I entered to check in I wasn't as nervous. The young lady was nice. The outdoors smelled like marijuana so upon going to room I was scared. The room was clean and the biggest I've seen for double bed actually. There was an ironing board but no iron. My room was cleaned each day and I liked that. From reviews I was nervous about hot water but I can say after 3 people showering right after one another that wasn't an issue for us at all.The location was good being I was in town for my son's graduation.Upon check out I've never encountered where a staffer goes to check a room before giving back a cash deposit and that was definitely a inconvenience for me having to be gone by a certain time to make it ceremony. Another thing the woman didn't have change to give me deposit and I've never encountered that before. Most hotels put in individual envelopes. I was able to borrow $50 to give in exchange for $100. Overall I would say the place was decent and the location was great for me

The complementary breakfast is terrible. Y’all need to get some good creamers for the coffee and some Splenda for us folks who do not use regular sugar. Get some donuts get some fruit get some orange juice or apple juice, and small boxes of some cereal. The breakfast need to be better.

Front check in lady was polite, professional. Did not have time to try their breakfast due to my schedule. The room's ceiling was falling in, and water dripping on occasion. Bathroom floor was atrocious - tiles literally raised from floor and dirty. I'm somewhat shocked that Wyndham would allow this place to be in their group. Lots of grunge, everywhere in the room. Medium/rough part of town - didn't know this until booked/paid.

The pictures look much nicer than the hotel is. The staff was nice. Don’t count on the breakfast. We never had service to our room during our stay, so we were charged an extra $100 because of the garbage between our two rooms. Apparently we’re supposed to take our trash to a dumpster without having extra bags to replace them. The plug by the hair dryer didn’t work. We had to go get towels since we didn’t have enough for the room (only 2), and had to wait until she could get some. A woman was screaming for help above us one night. 3 guys vs 1 girl. Husband ran up. Convenient location, but would not stay there again.

I was told that I wouldn't have hot water. I let her know that they said the same thing the previous month, but they charged a $50 deposit. When I checked out the same girl inspected the room and said that she had to keep my deposit due to damage! I forgot that I fell asleep with a bite of a Reese's cup in my mouth, so it rolled out of my mouth onto the pillow and the sheet. A very small spot of Candy on the bed. This is ridiculous! I know so because I was a manager of multiple properties for IHR in the past. This very unprofessional girl is on a power trip! I'm a terminal cancer patient with a brain aneurysm. I did call the police to the property to document this ridiculous incident. I know how the industrial bleach works. It seems the you're not supposed to even use the bed which means they don't want to change the sheets between guests. This property is the worst low class dump in that nice area!

I booked two rooms. I put in the requests that I would prefer them joint rooms. I get there to check in and find out that not only are the two rooms not in the same building, but the second room is in a building with no hot water. So I asked to cancel the room with the water issues. They canceled it before I paid a deposit. I paid a deposit for the second room and when I walked in, there were covers balled up on the bed, meaning they did not clean the room between us checking in and the last person checking out. Which also means that those same sheets were on the bed. There was urine and cigarette butts in the toilet and there was a very loud “Mary Jane” smell coming from the room. I went back to the lobby to report this. The front desk attendant repeatedly said “I’m sorry, they told me they cleaned the room”. I decided to cancel my room. She cancelled the room, gave me a refund for my deposit and then told me that I would have to reach out to the third party site that I booked through to receive a full refund. I reached out via chat. They said that they had to contact the hotel to see if they approved my refund and then they said she DENIED my refund. I will never step foot in this or any other Wyndham location again. They kept the money I spent to book the room, and the third party site processed a refund on their end.

Nothing like getting into a bed and your pillows are wet because the wall had a big water bubble on it. They opened the next room door and you got hit with a strong smell of mold. Something has been leaking for awhile and they have not been checking there rooms. Ice machine didn’t. Work. Had to change rooms into a double bed . Didn’t like that at allwork

Room service showed up as expected the following morning. After the first morning there, room service showed up only once during the remainder of the week with an attitude. Lady yelled at me due to me taking out three small Walmart sized bags of trash and sat them next to a wall in the hallway. Room service lady told me there was a dumpster outside and pointed at it. The reason that I put them there was due to room service not showing up, even after telling the receptionist to send them up for trash and to give us new towels since the ones were used multiple times. We even asked to borrow tbe vacuum for us to use, it didn'tshow up either. Most of the trim needed to be painted again, outlet cover needed to be screwed back on, moreover the carpet needed to be cleaned immediatly. I would go back it, if i had nothing else as a roof over my head.

I booked two rooms at this location. I received a called that 1 out of the 2 rooms were not available. The 2 room was supposed to be none smoking and they gave us a smoking room. The room was horrible,I couldn’t even breathe. The manager Mark wasn’t professional nor did he have good customer service skills. I’ve never experienced something like this at a hotel. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this location.

Unexpected Bad Stay, they ran out of towels after booking the entire Motel, Yes Motel. It was not what i expected as a Howard Johnson property. Fort Benning graduation was close but, now i wish we would have paid for better.

I had a very poor experience at this hotel. Housekeeping never fixed the beds or provided fresh towels, even though I requested cleaning and specifically asked for the floor to be mopped. I let the staff know I would be out for several hours to give them time, but when I returned, the room was completely untouched. When I called the front desk to follow up, the receptionist was dismissive and unprofessional. Later, a staff member arrived with dirty mop water, at which point I told her never mind. The overall cleanliness of the room was unacceptable the sheets were stained, the rooms are outdated, and the service from the morning staff was unfriendly. The only positive note was that the afternoon staff seemed more polite. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here due to the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service.

I got there they gave me a room bc my hotel I was going threw messed mine up I told the lady I’ve been in my car for 20 hrs driving with my 2 dogs an wife an she told me she had a room for me for 380 but I could get on the website to get a cheaper price so I did today when I was sleeping they call me an say well u didn’t tell me anything about ur dogs witch even the cleaners said I said something about my dogs because they were staring right there when I got check it now there trying to charge me 180 buck on my card before even asking me on top of they kept my deposit for no reason bc they said I didn’t pay the pet fee but they never told me anything about a pet fee and the whole time I was there room service never even came in my room to change my bedding I had to go an ask an charge it my self I went all day yesterday waiting for clean bedding an had to kept going down there tell they would give me new bedding I want a refund it was the worst experience I have ever had to go threw then they called the cops on me for trying to take my money an took my money when I have been there 4 days an they knew I had the dogs the first day they seen them the whole time I was there an even told me my big dog was so beautiful

This was convenient for where I was going. The photo is misleading as to the rest of the property. The first room was nice but had a moldy type odor. We were moved to another room that looked the same. Went out and returned. Woke up to a wet floor and bugs. Canceled second night.

We walked in briefly and walked back out. Saw black mold above the window and it smelled like second hand store. It felt like it was a room replica of the 1950’s. There was no way we could stay there. There were multiple vagrants sitting about the property smoking cloves and cigarettes and trash was everywhere on the property. When we complained to the staff they said, well it is a motel and it is what it is.

The rooms DID NOT look like the pictures on the website. The rooms were dirty, they only had two towels in the bathroom, the walls, doors and door handles were dirty. It smelt like cigarette smoke. I seemed to be interrupting the male clerk at the counter seeming to be playing on his phone as I was trying to check out. I walked up and he did not even acknowledge me. When he finally realized I was there, he continued his phone play time while walking to the counter. No eye contact. I found this very disrespectful. Then he had to come see the room himself before authorizing my refund for the $50 deposit. I've NEVER had this happen before. Just strange! On another visit to the front to see the clerk earlier in the visit, the young lady was doing something with her hands all in her hair. And she continued to do so. We will not be coming back to stay at this motel! The only good thing about it was the location was near several shopping and restaurant options.

Never stayed at this motel. We checked OUT ten minutes after checking IN. My receipt was for a double bed NON-smoking room when the receptionists both told me I had booked a SMOKING room, regardless of my written/emailed confirmation. The area was unsafe and there was a car broken into while my family and I were checking in. Again, we NEVER stayed at this location and I have yet to be refunded. DO NOT stay here. Our whole experience occurred within a matter of 15 minutes. Thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with the entire endeavor.

I loved the location and the staff was really nice but i disliked that the water was ice cold the entire time and there were roaches crawling everywhere at night :( kinda disappointing for a room that expensive.

I come to this location every time I am in Columbus. It’s always very clean and it’s convenient! I love the location! It’s around everything! It will always be my go to location when I’m in Columbus.

Staff was attentive and great. Facilities are dated and under kept a bit. Beds were comfortable and price was extremely reasonable for what you get. The breakfast is lacking a little, but hey it was free so. I have no worthy complaints about my experience.

Great place to stay! Great rooms that are clean, comfy and cozy. Basically, sat in front of all the shopping and restaurants you'd need. My company stayed one night, but it's very much able to accommodate extended stays with the rooms having mini fridges and microwaves.

This place was absolutely the best hotel I've been to in a long time! Im definitely coming back next month! It was definitely super clean & the staff was amazing! And its very convenient to shopping & everything! I had never been to Columbus so it has me wanting to come back more often!

Only place available. Wish we had just gone to a hurricane shelter. Carpets were wet. Mold everywhere. One room had broken nonworking tv hanging off the wall. Front desk person screams at people over the phone. Just appalling. Never again.

It is very old and outdated, the pictures they show are about 20 years ago! We had knife holes in the wall of our room! We couldn't use the pool because they said " the chemicals were not right"!

Room was clean. Bathroom sink counter broken phone not working. Need to revamp your website still says smoking rooms but all rooms non smoking web site said no pets but we saw some pets in adjoining rooms.

I went in a couple of rooms and they had roaches. I don't do roaches they travel in a group. But the front desk worker let me other rooms and I found one for the weekend and it had no bugs in it I appreciate the accommodation truly. It was quiet the pool was open my kids and I enjoyed the stay. Plus we love the variety of restaurants and walking distance

Room have some nice TV furniture and very nice mirror but other need to be change asap starting with the beds and mattress also the bath sink was clog. They can also replace simple hardware things. They need to clean the drain around the pool that is full of cigarettes, look nasty.
