The room was very clean, air conditioner excellent, breakfast excellent, staff excellent. I will be returning again next year for another of my band reunions snd will return to this hotel without hesitation.

Our room was filthy. There was left over food containers in the refrigerator, bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned at all, dirt and hair all over. We cleaned ourselves because we were not convinced another room would be any better if we changed. It was pretty awful. Never again.

The room smelled VERY strongly of chemical cleaner, possibly carpet cleaner. We managed but it was really strong everywhere in the room and other places of the hotel. The sheets for the sofa bed were dirty in the closet but staff provided another set. Staff in general was nice and responsive when engaged. Breakfast last day there were several things missing or not being restocked which was disappointing. No staff was anywhere to be found to seek help. Coffee is above average for hotel quality. Breakfast is to be expected, not great but edible.

I booked with Expedia when checked out they charged me again , called motel said they have to wait three days till someone could assist me in correcting the overcharge

There was no coffee pot inside the room, there were only 2 full size towels in a room that had 5 of us.

The beds here are awesome. The room, overall shows why I paid less. A bit dated and a little bit of rough shape (not dirty just about ready for a revamp. Location and price is hard to beat. Toilet seat loose, the snap floor is separating in the room; whoever painted never learned how to do straight lines. But the beds make up for it.

The location was a little tricky to me...getting in was easy enough, getting out was harder as the road was very busy and there was not a traffic light to help. The hotel is clean, the desk staff were friendly and professional, we got our requested handicap room. The bed was nice, towels very nice and the roll in shower was plus. We liked the complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was great! There was a great variety of choices. If in the area again, we would choose to stay here. The hotel is nice...nothing comes to mind that we did not like

Elevators were a bit noisy

It was ok The staff. Came in at 12:30AM from working all day and the lady working the desk had an immediate attitude. Told me no smoking in the rooms. I told her obviously? I was only there needing some sleep. Who even does that? Then threatened me saying she’d love to charge me $250 for it. As if she was assuming I was going to. Odd behavior and unprofessional. Will not be coming back.

The bed was quite comfortable, linen clean. We stayed in a King Suite that was impressively huge and spacious. It had so much potential, and we would have loved to see that extra space better utilized—especially with basic amenities that make a real difference for travelers. Unfortunately, there was no coffee maker in the room. After a long drive, a simple in-room coffee would have been very welcome. When I mentioned it to the front desk staff, she was quite rude and simply replied that we “just have to ask.” Providing basic amenities like this is standard in most hotels and helps guests feel cared for. Additionally, there were no luggage carts available. When asked, the staff seemed unsure and said they didn’t know where it was and hadn’t seen it. It felt like there was only one for the entire hotel, which is inconvenient for travelers with luggage. We regularly stay at Holiday Inn Express properties and appreciate their consistent, thoughtful amenities. Unfortunately, this stay fell short in both service and basics, especially given the size and potential of the suite. We hope management looks into these issues to improve the guest experience.

The location WARNING! Do not travel alone to this hotel!!! As a single African American woman, traveling alone, I did not like that I was placed in a conjoined room on the 1st floor that was at the end of the hall next to the exit door. This made me extremely uncomfortable, and felt like I was being setup for human trafficking. I told the Caucasian male at the front desk that I was extremely uncomfortable and wanted a refund. He said that he couldn't because he wasn't a manager. What??? I've never heard of that before. He continued to say that if I didn't want to stay that I would still get charged for the full stay. WTF! So not only am I freaked out because of the eerie room location but now you are condemning me for wanting my money back for your sinister plan?! Is this real life?(I though to myself) He's really trying to set me up!! So I asked him why would you place me in that eerie room and he said that all vacant rooms were already preset by the previous clerk/staff member. So he selected the first room on his list. Then I asked him that with 5 floors, you immediately gave me this room, that is conjoined to the last room at the end of the hall that just so happens to be next to the exit door.......why?? He couldn't answer. So, again, I had to ask myself, why would he place me in this specific room, if my suspicion of being human trafficked isn't warranted?? He never asked me my floor or room preference according to the 5 floors of possible vacancies of this hotel. And due to of his responses, it made my anxiety rise even higher and further confirms, to me, that he had already planned or workout his sinister scheme with his human trafficking buddies, by placing me in this specific room as a single African American woman who's traveling alone. So NO I DID NOT LIKE THIS HOTEL. I felt like my life was is IMMINENT DANGER!

Came to support our service man, looked for weeks of reviews. Stayed the night across the road at the Hampton Inn. Also wasn't great, but here was better. You can take a look at that review as well. We didn't eat breakfast, cannot speak on that. We we placed right next to the elevator, was a kid crying nearby that we could hear clear as day as well. If we were not so tired I think it would've been a problem. Room was cleaner that the other across the way. Lots of places to eat nearby. Was just my partner and I. Every time you move in the bed or someone does the whole thing moves. Got ok sleep, brought our own bedding. When we left, it had rained all night and they had caution taped up around the entrance, didn't know what for but was unsettling wheeling my stuff to my vehicle. Thankfully not old or needed to have my car parked up to load, otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

Got there my room was sold to someone else, got a room, my key did not work, got a new one, went back and someone was in my room. Got another room, the spout was falling off the tub, needless to say not much water pressure for a shower at 3 am. I would not stay there again.

Room was clean and service was great. Breakfast had lots of choices but my choice of eggs, bacon and potatoes were all cold. I ended up eating yogurt, juice and coffee. Excellent, my only issue was the noise by the cleaning staff was a bit excessive. Just because it's the morning doesn’t mean guests are not still trying to sleep.

I was assigned a room fitted for disabled person. I did not need that type setup. The water in the toilet continuously ran, and would flush without being flushed even during the night. And it would completely flush. Front desk sent someone to fix it but it didn't fix the problem. The following day I was told that someone had provided me the wrong information - they could not move us to another room. After a lengthy conversation by phone and during my work hours, front desk said they could assign us a different room. It was an inconvenience and took time out of my already limited work time to deal with the issue.

Location was convenient, the cleanliness is great, but one of the ladies was trying to shut down the breakfast area prior to 9:30 as we were using the facilities. In addition, the options weren’t very good, but I’ll take that over a place that isn’t clean.

When we asked for new towels we were told they didn't have any clean ones I'd have to wait for them. Mind you I had a graduation to attend so waiting was not an option. The shades at our window would not pull down. So we put one pillow, one suitcase and one wadded up afghan in the wide window sill, for some privacy at night.

The hotel has been our go to hotel when we are in Columbus. This will be our last stay. A motorcycle group took over the parking lot and front entrance to the hotel. Playing loud music.

All i would say is the laundry room is kinda dirty but over all great staff, walking distance to ihop, gas station, and some fast food places. I would definitely stay again.

A good first impression make a difference. When I opened the door of my room, I was greeted by two beds that were carelessly made. That sends a visual message just upon arrival. Talking about beds, the mattresses on room 203 are due for replacement. I was hoping to recharge during the night and be ready to continue my trip the next day. I slept very uncomfortably. On the brighter side, however, the property, including my room, was very well cleaned. The furniture, tv, etc, was up to date. The room was actually very nice. The teat of the building also looked clean and welcoming. The person at the front desk was very efficient and helpful, which I really appreciated. I will definitely give them another try on my upcoming trip to Colombus, GA.

Only complaint was the strong perfume scent from air freshener in air conditioning unit. maybe they were covering up some other smell but it was a bit gross.

Got in late from CA. Check-in was a breeze. Room was clean and comfortable. Just what one expected and needed after a long day getting here. Off to Fort Benning!

They're was trash piled up in the hallway and by the elevators on the 5th floor. It was there from Friday evening to Saturday evening... over 24hrs. I should have taken photos of it.

It was great staying at this Holiday Inn Express! It literally took 30 seconds to check in and the room was nice. The lady at the front desk was very hospitable and courteous. I think I like this location better than the new location on Warm Springs Rd. I will definitely stay here again!

It was me and my youngest daughter. Our first room bed was horrible and pillows were extremely flat. Woke up several times in the night with neck hurting and horrible headache. Shower/bathroom area was dirty! They switched us to a different room and charged us more! Second room bed was better but not the greatest. Bathroom/shower area still was not the best! Smelled marijuana every time we went in the elevator!

The laundry room Facility was outdated. The pool grounds had cigarette butts inside the swimming area and garbage on the outside of the fence. And the water was murky. The elevators were old and were down for a short time. But in today’s world, it is hard to keep things nice. The staff there was impeccable. Over the years, I have never met more wonderful people than I have at this hotel. It was a very comfortable room.

Seemed like a new hotel. Not sure how old but everything was in new condition. Great breakfast! Huge selection of food.

Wow this is the best hotel along with the customer service we’ve ever had since coming to the softball tournaments. Tara was so sweet and courteous and polite. We come to Columbus 4 or 5 times a year for the tournament. We will be staying at Holiday Inn Express on Bear Lane every time

Nice room

Everything was great. My only complaint was before our departure, someone opened our room door and I had to say, “someone is in here.” I did call and let the front desk know, but that is unacceptable. There was no knock or anything at our door. I believe it was maintenance or housekeeping, but it was only 9:30 am and check out time is 11:00 am.

The staff was some of the friendliest that we’ve ever seen in a hotel, and the room was exceptionally clean.

This is a really nice hotel. It’s spacious, up to date decor and very clean. I feel safe in the area surrounding the hotel.

Was okay, house keeping never came to clean out of the days we stayed there.. didn’t give us clean towels or toilet paper when we asked.

The Staff was awsome. Only gripe I have is they dont have complimentary coffee in the room with a coffee machine. You have to go to the lobby and use the automated one in there for coffee.

The staff person upon arrival was so sweet and helpful. I had surgery that day and couldn't walk and needed a wheelchair. The receptionist provided me with one and also helped me and my mother upstairs to our room with our luggage. The receptionist that came on after her was not so accommodating. We needed another blanket and extra pillow and she informed that we would have to come down to the receptionist desk to get it. I had to tell her that I couldn't walk and my mother was elderly. She eventually brought the blanket and pillow up to our room. The room was nice and clean. The bed slept wonderfully.

First room 305 smelled of feces. Was given a replacement room 504 which was wonderful. Only negative was discovering that the outlets on the beside table did not have power.
