The room was decent and spacious but the thermostat will not allow room cooling past 68°. I am a person that runs very hot and i might need it cooler to fall asleep. Also it gets really hot in SC. The area is kind of ghetto which isnt the hotels fault but people should know what to expect nearby. When i showed up to check in there was nobody behind the counter to greet. I had to wait for one of the cleaning staff to go find the hostess. After being checked in i noticed there was stuff still left in the room refrigerator. Also my view from the window was a hornets nest and there was a small hole in the ceiling near the window leading me to believe its possible for bugs to get in. They did not luckily. There is no microwave in the room so if you have leftovers, you must go to the lobby to warm your food up. Also there are cups in the room for you that are wrapped in plastic to give the impression of clean fresh cups. There were paper cups with stains inside of them, wrapped in plastic. That was it for me.

It was a nice stay. One of the ladies that worked there was so helpful. I forgot my phone charger and she got one for me to use while I was there. I wish I could remember her name. She went out of her way when she was getting off for the day. I can’t say how much that gesture meant. I can’t think of anything.

Starting with the good: staff was friendly, room was clean, the shower water pressure was awesome, one of the best Continental breakfast, the bed was comfortable. What we didn’t like was the room was small, air unit was from hotels built back in the 80’s, we had trouble getting a comfortable temperature, even tried to turn it off. When turning it off the fan continued to run. And did I mention it was loud. The furniture was like stuff you would find in a dorm room. The had this desk chair that was not sturdy. My husband was sitting in it when barely move and chair tipped over. Lastly the pillows were very flimsy.

The hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. After a long day of driving, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well maintained. We also appreciated the convenient location and easy parking. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Tru by Hilton to other travelers!

The hotel was nice and clean however, once I got into the room, I found out you cannot turn off the AC. The air conditioner runs the entire night even when you turn it off I called the front desk and they said it is to help circulate air in the room, but what it really meant is …., I slept in the cold all night. I will never book at a Tru hotel ever again!!!

It blasted cold air thru the room. Small room. Staff could not offer any remedy. Recommend against staying for all customers. Plenty of hotels in the same price range offer superior accommodations

Stayed for three nights over the weekend. Everything was perfect, from the reception at check in to checkout. Staff was very attentive and the breakfast was bountiful and good tasting. Location was very convenient and close to everything in Columbia with easy access to I-126. Parking was well lit with plenty of spaces. Will definitely stay at this location in the future

Tru by Hilton on Greystone is my favorite place to stay whenever I’m in the Columbia SC area. It’s always clean, quiet and have the friendliest staff. The rooms are always clean and the beds are so comfortable.

Everyone at the hotel was incredibly nice. Our room was clean and breakfast was really good. Would stay here again for sure.

Room was nice. The staff was excellent. I traveled with 2 dogs and they made accommodations on first floor near the door which made it easy to take them outside. Would stay here again.

Close to Waffle House and 7/11 with other food close in the area. Very quiet and nicely laid out room. Gym on site and pool table. A guest tried to set the hotel on fire with a lit cigarette thrown on the mulch by a door. There are cigarette butt trays by most doors, evidently they need to be by all doors as well as a trash bin as all guests are not clean or respectful. Staff did respond quickly once notified, fire extinguisher either was not working or staff did not know how to use it so training and checking needs to be implemented. Luckily there was water close by and another staff member to help....

We had only an hour to make a meeting It would have been nice to have been notified at the beginning instead of me slapping my hands turning on the faucet and no water! The staff was extremely apologetic and helpful manager was nice only real negative was no saying anything up front giving me a chance to make up my mind

The staff was very nice but the room was poorly cleaned. There was sticky stuff on the floor, someone’s contact lenses in the shower, dried liquid splattered on the wall, dirty chair, someones hair tie left behind. Subpar for a Tru. I pick these hotels bc they’re usually super clean.

This is our normal place to stay which we love however this time the breakfast was just not up to par. The pancake machine barely worked and the food just didnt seem as fresh. Normally we have no issues and love it but this time just not the same.

Seriously. This was the best overnight hotel stay ever. I've never seen a place like this and I've traveled all over the country and the world. It was as if I designed it myself for myself. The magic is they have figured out that travelers enjoy people the whole hotel experience is set up for that purpose. I played pool in the lobby all night and met so many wonderful folks. Everything a traveler wants is right here, lots of good snacks for sale, 24 hour coffee. Even beer and wine, so welcome after a long day of work or driving! Plenty of room to get comfy, watch TV, do some computer work or visit with other happy customers. Furniture and tables are modern clean and comfortable. The whole layout is so fresh. Great exercise room. My room was the same, clean comfortable modern and efficient. It reminded me of nice hotel rooms in Tokyo only much larger and much less costly! And the staff is so outstanding and welcoming. Breakfast setup is great too with a lot of choices. No, I didn't get paid to write this, if you get the impression I like this place you would be right! I only wish I would have discovered true by Hilton much sooner! My 40-year loyalty to Choice brand Hotels is now officially over.

Overall, this hotel experience is great! Over Lisa who checked us in! She was pleasant, nice and welcoming! There was a little party where refreshments were served. The hotel is clean and appears new! Loved how the shades completely covered the window! It is a great concept! I would definitely stay here again!

Amanda greeted us when we arriv d and assisted me later in locating ice and an ice basin. Breakfast was nice but several tables were dirty when we came down and stayed that way while we were in the dining area. Overall we had a pleasant visit.

It’s was fine. The staff are super nice. The rooms were small. Very basic. No closet or microwave. I understand that hotels near downtown tend to be cramped and have few amenities. But Charlotte is a bigger city with hotels in this price range with more amenities. Also there are no restaurants nearby, DoorDash had a huge fee, and the snacks available to buy at the hotel will really expensive.

It would have been a 5 except the last day we had to leave very early before the 6 o'clock breakfast, and while checking out, I asked if I could grab some fruit and a bagel, and the clerk said yes. When I did the breakfast, the lady got upset and said I had to wait 15 minutes until six eventhough the stuff was sitting right in front of me. I helped myself anyway. Everything else was great!

The bed was very comfortable. Sheets and towels were super soft. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. This was SC so instant grits and eggs for breakfast was a disappointment. Also, building a new hotel next door so construction woke us up early.

Easy free parking. The breakfast was not anything special. Other than the front desk staff, there was no staff available to wipe down the tables after customer use...I had to wioe down my own table with a napkin.

Overall, the property and staff were great. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Only drawback is the location. It appears to be in an economically disadvantaged area. I stayed here while visiting my son as he was completing boot camp at Fort Jackson.

One of the nicer tru hotels we had the pleasure of experiencing on our journey. We drove from CA To S.C so have had the experience. Having coffee/ hot water in lobby all day was great! Rooms were good only not so clean.There was trash in our room upon arrival and hair in the beds bonus negative was the construction next to hotel. But the very friendly staff made everything else worthwhile

We truly enjoyed our stay.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was definitely on the smaller side but it was clean, comfortable, and functional. The hotel appears to be newer and there is some construction taking place next door, but since I was there during a holiday weekend, there was no construction going on to bother us. There is free coffee available 24/7 and a nice lobby with a big screen TV and pool table. The price was nice, too. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. We were there for my nephews graduation (army) and Isaiah gave us recommendations for restaurants and day trips.

I did not like that houseckkeeping the room bathroom get down to half a roll of toilet paper. I had to go to front desk to ask for toilet paper and the attendant had a hard time finding any. Lobby and oitside trash cans constantly full. At breakfast one morning coffee bar was out of cup holders that keep you from burning your hand on a cup of coffee. Also out of coffee creamer. Had to ask from desk attendant to refill the coffee bar area. The buffet breakfast only available to 9am. The food quality was less than average with egg quailty and eggs. Best breakfast item was the grits. Kind of hard to screw that up. The beds were lumpy. Need new mattresses. We will not stay here again.

Pet friendly but the first room we were put into, we couldn’t even walk in it smelled of pet urine so bad. Didn’t have a pet with us. Lesson learned.

Staff was nice and informative. Unfortunately the room smelled like dirty mop water and the floors were dirty but overall still a good stay.

The room was beautiful and vlean. My kis loved the breakfast and the games room in the lobby. They said that we need to come back again.

Zero body soap and container was moldy. Hairdryer had wet toilet paper all over it. No coffee on a Sunday morning bc "they ran out".

My stay was really enjoyable. The accommodations were great. Just wish I could have gotten the room for another night.

Everything about my stay was great. Cleanliness, friendly staff, the pooltable all was good. The downside is the room was way smaller than anticipated for a king suite.

The hotel staff did an excellent job with both the breakfast and room cleaning! However, one major inconvenience was that even after 2:30 PM, when rooms were already available, the hotel wouldn't allow us to check in unless we paid a $58 early check-in fee. Instead, we were asked to wait in the lobby.

The is a budget motel. Our room was clean but spartan. One outlet didn’t work. There were few lights. We were on the first floor where our window faced the sidewalk so we had to pull down the shade for privacy so there was no filtered light

Staff was nice amd helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The only thing that i didn't like was that the AC on the room was too loud and make a weird noise.

Property was fine only wish at check in they had directed us to try their restaurant or one of many within safe walking distance. Literally across the street up some steps across a plaza you will find a square lined with restaurants!

The beds were hard and the pillows were flat as a pancake. I tossed and turned all night because I was so uncomfortable. Our mini fridge was nasty. I will not stay here again. I also advised my family members to cancel their reservations with Tru. I was really disappointed.

It was very clean. The staff was great especially Chris. You could tell he loved his job and the hospitality field. He made everyone feel welcomed and valued as a customer. The room was clean and up to date.
