The layout of room, very spacious, had kitchen, 2 beds and sofa. Large shower. Only issue was the air con unit is in a cupboard in the main room and was a bit noisy. Didn’t bother us but may bother light sleepers

IT WAS A COMFORTABLE SUITE AND IT WAS SATISFACTORY FOR THE 2 DAYS WE STAYED THERE AND IT WAS CLOSE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA CAMPUS. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND HEARTY. I DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT I WAS BILLED $10.00 PER DAY FOR PARKING.

The stay was pleasant enough for the weekend. I liked that the rooms were stocked with essential supplies for the kitchen such as pots, eating utensils, glasses, etc. Everything appeared to be clean. There is good lighting throughout the room. The bed was comfortable. I would have been helpful at check-in, if we were asked if we needed linen for the pull out sofa, we didn't find out till we were ready to go to bed. I didn't understand the need to pay for parking if you are paying to stay at the facility. I could understand if you were having to park in a garage. Also, when I initially booked the room, I had some questions about the payment and the staff person who answered was clearly eating on the phone. I talk to people everyday and that is a huge violation in my office. It also wasn't as if the person finished what they had in their mouth to help me, but continued to actively eat while talking to me, Also, the pool was FREEZING. I don't mean slightly cold, I mean iceberg cold. You would think that an indoor pool would be slightly warm. Maybe the mechanism was broken, not sure, but was not pleased, I wasn't able to enjoy the pool.

Pros and cons. The property is very clean and physically comfortable. The breakfast is very nice. Be advised that this property is NOT in downtown Columbia, or in walking distance to it. Additionally, I specifically picked this place because it had a pool. The pool was closed due to an inspection issue. Not the hotel’s fault, but on the last day we were there it “reopened “ but we had to get the staff to actually unlock the door, and then the pool was too cold to swim in. Another issue was the housekeeping. You don’t get housekeeping every day, which is fine, but they also didn’t come on the day they were supposed to. I had to go to the front desk to get to, towels, etc. Finally, even though they have a huge parking lot that’s only half filled they charge you $10.80 a night to park there. Again, this is not a hotel located in downtown where parking is in short supply. When I asked at checkout if they would waive the parking fee, given that there was no pool or housekeeping, the answer was no. I think staff apathy and bad attitudes are the problem with this property.

The room was extremely clean and the staff was professional, polite and courteous. The breakfast cafe was clean and fresh. I highly recommend Staybridge Suites as place to rest your head during your travels.

The breakfast and socials were great! The condition of the hotel and the rooms was top notch. However the indoor pool was closed which was a downer and not told to us at check in. We found out after we changed and walked down to the pool to find a sign on the door.

Perfect location for a family with small kids to stay while visiting the zoo and children’s museum. My husband and I stayed with our four girls and they loved the pool and breakfast buffet. Our room had a king size bed and full size pullout couch and there was room for our three year old to sleep on her little cot and our 1 year old’s pack and play. Staff was super friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay again!

I booked this hotel for the heated indoor pool. I asked when we checked in if the pool was heated they said yes. The pool was freezing cold I couldn’t even use it. So disappointed

We felt safe coming back after a late night on the town-- parking lot is well lit. The bed was comfortable and the room stayed dark for the hangovers the next morning. The only complaint was how close the bed was to the wall by the bathroom bc you have to "squeeze" through. But we would stay here again!

Great experience from the staff at the counter to the spacious cozy at home like feel of the room. The cleanliness and comfort of the bed were incredible. I’ve been staying in hotels for years and this is my first review I’ve written because I was that pleased. Thank you Staybridge suites of Columbia

Very clean , just didn’t like how we had to smell fish all night , an the fans were blowing outside of our room . Of 106 At 4/5am , we heard excessive banging, I thought it was outside, but once we finally got up and went out for breakfast, we realized that we were close to the kitchen. So all of that banging have had to be the cooks first thing in the morning and they’ve banged for at least 15 to 20 minutes so that woke me up for about an hour then I went back to sleep and woke up back around eight. The fans were blowing in front of our rooms plus the fishy smell so it had me thinking that our room had to be contaminated due to the leakage outside of the room.

The Hotel was beautiful, immaculate, and modern! Our room was perfect for our stay and the breakfast that was included in our stay was second to NONE! But the most significant asset was the staff. I love the fact that they had hash for breakfast and I hope that they do it more than one day a week like that’s a game changer for me instead of the old boring dried out sausage very clean rooms love the breakfast love the staff. I didn't like the side of the hotel I was on the busy traffic outside. TV's need to be upgraded where you can get Netflix and other subscription channels if you have an account. The breakfast could have been better.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location was great. Tiffany at the front desk was amazing. Breakfast was nice and had a good variety of items to choose from. My room was awesome, and my bed was the first hotel bed I’ve ever slept in that didn’t give me back pain. I slept like a baby. The only problem I had was that I was attacked by fleas when I got up to use the restroom that morning. I am allergic to flea bites, so I knew immediately what they were when they landed on my ankles. I was bit a few times and now have marks that will take years to clear away. I did advise Tiffany at the front desk and Airdropped the video to her. I was staying on the 5th floor and was advised pets are not allowed on that floor. She stated she would show the manager and have them contact me. I still have not been contacted. I am hoping that the room was exterminated because it is a major inconvenience to have fleas jumping around your hotel. More rooms may need to be checked because most people wouldn’t notice fleas because they are so small. I have included blurry pics of the fleas that a screenshotted from the videos I took. This hotel would have received 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the fleas.

I would stay at this property again. One of the elevators was broken during our entire 3 day stay but I prefer that than to get on an elevator that isn’t working. Stephanie was great and all staff was pleasant and accommodating. Clean and spacious rooms. My go to hotel for sure!

Rooms are smaller than pictured. Very uncomfortable mattresses. According to the person at the front desk, the hotel is in a bad area, which is why they have security for part of the day (she shared this completely unsolicited). No smart TV, so stuck with cable. The breakfast buffet is plentiful but not good.

Had two rooms and was charged for parking in both rooms even though we only had one vehicle. The pool was not open and would not have booked a hotel if we had known this.

It was a nice isolated hotel location and cleaned. It was a quiet environment but parking spaces are limited with $10.00 parking fee. I wish it was free and it wasn't specified during the check-in so be aware. The breakfast was great with varieties. The staff were polite and courteous. After waking up to itchy bites on my back and stomach I discovered bugs in the bed which turned out to be burn ants according to the GM. I alerted the front desk and they came up to evaluate for bed bugs and change out the sheets. I was disappointed for them not to offer a discount or at minimum some points for the bugs in the sheets situation.

It was amazing. Our family of 5 stayed here and each interaction with the staff was very friendly. I wish I would’ve gotten the name of the staff member who worked last night because she was super friendly and helpful not only to me but I noticed with everyone I saw her interacting with. It was a nice stay. The pool was the main reason we chose here for my daughter. The hotel itself could have been a bit cleaner but apparently, there was a Jellyroll concert the night before in Columbia. I think that affected our check-in or being able to get in a bit early. Staff was very friendly.

We were greeted by a wonderful friendly very professional customer service attendant. We had a small concern in the beginning, and she was very helpful in addressing that and correcting any issue that we had momentarily. The room was the equivalent of a small apartment and exactly what we needed for our stay. This hotel uses all Dove products in the showers and, they were perfect to give us a clean refreshed feel in the morning. We especially liked the late check out of 12 noon.

We were greeted by a wonderful friendly very professional customer service attendant. We had a small concern in the beginning, and she was very helpful in addressing that and correcting any issue that we had momentarily. The room was the equivalent of a small apartment and exactly what we needed for our stay. This hotel uses all Dove products in the showers and, they were perfect to give us a clean refreshed feel in the morning. We especially liked the late check out of 12 noon.

The stay was great until housekeeping came into our room at 9:30 in the morning. No knock or nothing. What if we were not dressed!

Would like to have a fan in the bathroom. Also the bed is located next to the sink right outside the toilet/shower so when it's used at night the light hits the bed. I would have made a pocket door to separate the spaces or have a black out drape installed. We have stayed there before and will again since it's got a fridge/toaster/microwave and allows pets.

Did not feel safe to stay there with my 10-year-old daughter. Parked my car in the parking lot at the waffle house. Pictures were a little misleading as the bathrooms were very outdated. The smell was difficult to get through in the hallways.

The staff were all friendly and efficient. Everything was very clean. The breakfast provided was excellent! Special shout-out to Front Office Manager, and to Dining Room, for exceptional care and kindness.

I asked the lady at the desk for a copy of my receipt. She initially had difficulty printing it. She handed it to me. No other conversation occurred when I left. How difficult is it to say thank you and have a nice day???? Your hotel was nice. Amanda was very nice when we checked in on Tuesday, September 3. The people in the kitchen were helpful and personable during the evening social and during breakfast.

Really enjoyed our first stay at Staybridge and will definitely go back. Very comfortable room, good breakfast and very conveniently located, especially if you're visiting the Zoo!

Late check out! Comication not on the same page with house keeping at the end of your Hotel stay. Also house keeping get up set because you have late check out. Opening the door and giving you an nasty look when you are leaving out. Same as the front desk lady too in the morning time. Saying Good morning and hi is a crime for the front desk! Nothing but crickets! (silence) Maybe an attitude issues. (Whats her problem?) Overall my stay out of 5. Will be 3.5. I just stay for one night.

So clean and wonderful! Be careful turning in and out of the parking lot into a busy street with high speeds (cars coming directly off the highway). Otherwise you would never know you were close to the highway. This will become our regular hotel in Columbia!

The room was large and had a kitchen area but now really a suite as they were all in the same room. The pictures on the wall did not match and were distracting. I've never seen such unaligned art work in a room in all my travels. Who put those up??? I mean. The pictures were off centered above the bed with 2 different sizes and completely different color pallets. OMG! Then the breakfast and dinner (snack) options were bleak. Ok. Breakfast was good for the yogurt and fruit lovers (like me) but all else??? Staff was just tired. They all seemed bothered to even be there.

Breakfast and kitchen staff were lovely. Only one girl at the front desk (the who checked us in on Wednesday) said two words to us - she was very sweet and helpful. Room was fantastic and kitchenette was well equipped. The hotel breakfast and dinner weren’t very good but we went to Publix and bought groceries so it didn't matter. Overall, I would stay there again. Great location… close to some great restaurants and a little downtown walking area. Hall Chophouse for steak and smallSugar for breakfast!!

The staff was very friendly. The room had a faux wood floor and it wasn't clean in some areas, we used some wet paper towels to wipe clean these areas. There were hair pins/large lint along the floor boards. We had dogs with us and one side of the hotel had plenty of room for them to go bathroom. This hotel appears to be an older Staybridge and so it looks a little worn as compared to others I've stayed at.

Our room 319 was very spacious but the the bed close to the window, has a very big dip in it and made sleeping very uncomfortable. The pool was on the cloudy side and you might want check on it.

Staff was super friendly. Everytime we left the room we felt so welcomed. They have a social hour every monday to wednesday from 5 to 7.The hotel room itself was so beautiful.Everything was so clean,plenty of space within the room.The bathrooms are very spacious and we had plenty of towels.Overall we had an amazing experience. The ladies in the front were amazing,very helpful with everything. They were super attentive to me and my family. Oh!and i cant forget about the pool.My kids loved the pool. They also have a gym next to the pool.

Everything and everyone was really nice. Very clean and nicely outfitted. Beds are very comfortable.

The room was clean and offered many amenities including a small kitchen, couch, TV, and separate shower and vanity space. The bed was very comfortable. There was also a gym and an indoor pool. Last but not least, they had a very nice selection for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay, room was nice, staff was friendly & it was close to the zoo. The only bad thing was the indoor pool was not heated, it was freezing!

Kind of awkward entrance off the main road, but a great hotel. The King Suite is very comfortable and spacious. Good hot breakfast, and a hot free dinner buffet from 5-7

The stay was wonderful. My daughter and I were in town for a swim meet and really only needed somewhere to sleep as we were out before breakfast was served. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. One of the best stays we have had for a swim meet trip.

Location is terrible. Entrance from a super busy road. Parking limited and when they are redoing lines of the lot and block off half the lot super inconvenient. The rooms are nice with the exception of the cheap sticky tiles coming up everywhere.

This is one of the best Hotel stays I have ever had. The room was exactly as described, and was perfectly cleaned and maintained. I will plan on making another reservation at the same hotel soon.

One of our first evenings (I stayed for a week), we went to dinner (self seating) and as soon as we sat, we were rudely spoken to by a waiter who forcefully asked us to move seats to a much smaller option even through there were lots of other large tables available. We wanted to go to a local festival and were talked out of it because of the rain - its a huge festival and even when insisting that we still go we were told it wasn’t a good idea. After retreating to my room, defeated with not much to do, I went back down and demanded a taxi. Thank God I did, as it was nice to have a break away from this environment.

Nice, quiet, and convenient hotel

I really don’t have anything good to say about this place. The parking lot is awful, the building is antique and needs updating, our sheets weren’t washed and the room wasn’t cleaned at all (there was literally crumbs and other people’s hair on the bed), there were other people’s hair on the bath towels, there were bugs in the room, the water pressure in the shower is almost nonexistent, the breakfast tastes like it came out of a can, and the price matched that of 4-star hotels in the area. I’d love to say the location is convenient being next to downtown, but you still can’t walk there. You’ll be driving (for like 3 minutes, mind you) if you wanna go to downtown and still have to find parking. Just book the Marriott or Holiday Inn in downtown if you want a convenient location, this place is NASTY.

Our stay was amazing! This was our first time at a Staybridge, and we were so, so pleased and impressed! Breakfast was amazing! The room was so comfortable with extra amenities and comforts. Great bed, great bathroom. Great staff! Outside amenities (grill, fireplace, sitting area) were a nice bonus.

Large clean room with kitchen was very convenient and close to our on/off road trip

Overall it was an ok stay. Deducted stars because breakfast was not good and there were hairs all on the shower walls and floor which was disgusting. Then the hot water heater went out and it took almost the whole day for them to fix and I had to give my son a cold shower which was not fun for him.

I felt a little unsafe to be outside the hotel(day or night) I was a little uneasy inside the lobby area because 2 of the homeless people were hanging in the lobby and lobby bathroom. I talked to both women and they seem harmless and actually very nice. However, not all are like that. If I come to Columbia again, I will most likely stay at another hotel due to safety.
