Sleep Inn Near Ft Jackson

$65 undisclosed fee for "incidentals" (as explained by the front desk). However, when we tried to purchase some bottled waters as "incidentals", we were told we could not charge them as incidentals had to use cash only (no debit or credit card). This establishment is also very run down. And the bath towels had stains on them. This was probably the most run down dirty hotel we've ever stayed in. Never again.

We went to our son graduation at FortJackson. We like the fact that its close to the base. For the price was good, breakfast was good. There are several places to eat nearby, KFC, Pizza, Gas stations, a Walmart, etc. The bedspread had a stain, although I reported it and they immediately changed it. At one point, I saw a small cockroach in the bathroom; the fridge didn't close properly, so it didn't cool enough.

Bathroom was small with a pocket door so whole room could hear your business. The gym was closed, the pool was closed so no amenities. The air conditioner worked so praise God there or I would have melted. Our comforter had dirt and who knows what else on it and there was hair in the shower. It was a spot for us to lay our head while we went to fort Jackson.

Please don’t stay at this hotel. Roaches. Mold in the bathroom and shower. Doors don’t lock properly. I was there for my son graduation at Fort Jackson and I so upset that we stayed at a hotel like these. This hotel needs no stars. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

Stayed 3 days for my son’s graduation from Fort Jackson. The area has lots around. The motel itself wasn’t bad just typical. Had issues with my key pretty much every day but the staff were pretty quick to fix it. I’d stay again if I was in the area

This place is full of roaches and bed bugs. The first night woke up because roaches were in bed, we asked to be switched to a different room, they were there again and more bed bugs, this places I infested. I got bit by bed bugs. Please choose a different option.

TV was Spectrum and the remote didn't function correctly. Saw some good shows, but had trouble navigating. Drank some beers, the hallways were quiet.

Staff did not showedup to clean the room or reolace towels through out my stay. Room 222 has one of its tile in the restroom is out. The floor around the rest room is shaking. Bathroom faucet is too old and sink drain dont have a stopper

The building smelled of marijuana anywhere you went. People coming and going were loud in the hallways. The bathroom toilet had a slow leak and needs remodeling. At least the bed had clean sheets and was comfortable. Only stayed one night and will not come back.

Clean room however had torn window screens

My first room stunk so so very badly and was dirty. I filed a complaint and was upgraded with a room with no ac. I checked out Thursday night and had paid for the hotel until Saturday. But I had enough of that place and got another hotel.

The staff was rude upon check in, no hand or face soap in the room, had to go to the front desk to get it. They provided three small bars and there wasn’t any hot water in our room.

Really bad experience at this hotel, a soon as we walked into the lobby the smell of weed was strong, in the elevator too, when we got to the rooms we smell mold, there was no hot water in the morning, there were roaches in the walls and bathroom, we had to book another hotel. I booked for two bedrooms and finally was using one. I did ask for refund but the reply was not professional and at the end I didn't get any refund. Worst place to stay so far and I can't recommend this horrible hotel to anyone.

Limited options for breakfast and pancake maker didn’t work. Cold cereal or oatmeal packets. No bananas only apples. OJ or water only. Sad not more choices… only toast or bagels for the toaster. Muffins were good.

Rude staff

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I do not like the bathroom arrangement however. I much prefer one larger bathroom containing the commode and basin and shower. Breakfast was adequate and the attendant was very cordial.

It was alright TV's is out date phone was too. Kept having trouble with the key cards. But overall it was convenient to being near William brice stadium for the game.

Parking is free and adequate. Breakfast starts at 6:00 A.M. which is perfect as I have to leave the hotel no later than 6:30 A.M.

Check in took a bit long and needs efficiency. Upgrade your system and digital keys! Breakfast was so so. Your server lady was funny and a touch rude to some customers.

The room I checked into had a ceiling/plaster from the ceiling falling and the room smelt wet mildew and wet dog. After pointing this out the room I was moved to was ok aside from the fact it smelt like cigarettes (not sure if I was moved to a smoking or nonsmoking room). The service was responsive and helpful. The situation could have been avoided if final room checks occured prior to being cleared to rent. I honestly sm not sure how the original room was acceptable to this establishment.

The rooms are dated, not kept up, has mix-matched furniture, FILTHY carpet, broken lamp shades & are moldy and mildew smelling. I got sick the first night. I was running late for work so didn't have time to discuss this at the front desk as there were several people at the desk that morning. I returned that night and made the staff aware of my issues. I was lied to and told there were no other rooms, accused of lying about the condition of the room, chastised for not mentioning my issues sooner, and the staff member became argumentative with me as I calmly expressed my issues. After I asked for my money back I was told "I might be able to get a refund". It was late and I subjected myself and children to staying until the morning just so we could get some sleep and hurry and check out in the morning. Thirty minutes later that night, I was given a different room that was sprayed to help cover the mildew smell. The two good things about the rooms were that the beds were comfortable and the large shower with steaming hot water. These people make enough money with the high rates and claim to be booked even in the middle of the week. Surely they could stop filling their pockets to the rim for once and pay someone to properly clean the rooms for one, and secondly, keep the rooms updated, mildew ad mold treated, and sanitized. There are 52 weeks I a year. I know good and well they make enough money to at least get one room per week in decent looking order over a 2 yr period.

Property amenities not as advertised, staff on and off the clock gathered in lobby areas not enthusiastic to assist customers, breakfast station not properly attended or clean, and cleanliness of rooms barely above par. Swimming pool filled with branches, 2x4 wood, and trash. Bedroom had trash under bed and on bathroom floor. Worst hotel experience with hotel staff and third party Expedia customer service.

We were terribly upset when we found out that the pool was closed after seeing online that there was an outdoor pool. That’s the only reason we were staying here. And was not informed ahead of arriving that there was a $65 fee per room at check in.

Everything was great except strong pot smoke all down the hallway .. come into the room and 1st thing I do go use the bathroom and long black stringy hair all over the floor . I took pics all over shower floor. Also nasty white spots of crusty stuff on carpet that wasn’t swept . The bed was great and the temp of room great . But make sure to clean your bathrooms . The water level in the toilet was very high when you whipped your butt fingers got wet 😳 even after repeated flushes the water level stayed high

I was bitten by bed bugs while sleeping at this hotel. The staff on the property told me a claim would be filed and that I should follow up with them. I followed up with them via phone and email but they did not respond. I reached out to the corporate customer service team and although they were very responsive they kept referring me back to the hotel staff. I told them numerous times that I attempted to contact them. The corporate CS team assured me an investigation was done for bed bugs but when requested they would not provide me any documentation or the name of the pest control company they used. I have 12 bite scars on my back, I’ve made numerous attempts to speak to someone, I’m annoyed and frustrated with the lack of service and care. I will not stay at another Choice Hotels property.

Very clean and quiet location. However, we were there for 3 days. On our second morning we asked about housekeeping and the guy at the front desk was vet ride and said we weren't signed up. When we asked how we sign up he simply said if you find a housekeeper just ask for new towels. We were never told at check in that we would have to sign up for housekeeping, the website states daily housekeeping so we were unaware.

This will be our go-to place. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. It is tucked away from the main road but still close to several food and coffee places!

Room was very dirty not very well cleaned. There were things splattered on the wall around the sink area. The carpeting was disgusting. Felt wet. The windows need to be replaced. There are seals that are broken that have moisture built-up inside of it. You can’t even look out your window, not enough towels and washcloth in the room very rude front desk employees that offered little help.

We opened the window but there was no window shield able to walk in and out of it. Sink had more water pressures than the showers. Room had no safety lock. Room service was not completed or even started. Asked got extra towels told no. Phone cord attachment was broken. Blow dryer attachment to plug into wall was broken went to start and it sparked. Safety lock on door was missing. Expect to go to stay somewhere like you wanna be safe. Would like refund of stay. I asked for different to was told no other rooms available. Very disappointed.

No Hot Breakfast

This was a nice little hotel for a quick, overnight stop with the family. Breakfast was limited with no hot food option, but yogurt, cereal, breads/bagels and apples. The place feels a little older but overall in working order.

There were stains on the mattress and the bed linens. The towels had stains on them too. They were out of teabags during the continental breakfast. There was also what appeared to be blood splatters on the door to the bathroom. The shower door was hard to get open. Very disappointed for the price we paid.

The hotel room was disappointing. There was no hot water in the shower—not even warm—which made for an unpleasant experience. The TV didn’t work at all. The “free” breakfast was very limited, consisting mainly of toast, yogurt, and coffee. No protein options were available—no eggs or meat. Overall, everything felt done on the cheap, from the thin towels to the low-quality toilet paper.

The utmost worst hotel experiences my family and i have ever experienced. The hotel staff was very professional and kind. However, the room smelt like mold. There was actual mold in our bathroom. The bed was not comfortable enough. The room was infested with cockroaches. We killed two cockroaches over one the period of one night. The refrigerator was completely frozen with ice. There was burnt stains on our bed sheet which was insane. We really couldn't survive another moment in this hotel. It's not worth a single penny. It was so bad our 4-month-old cried the entire night, and our 5-year-old was constantly coughing. Please run for the hills when considering this hotel!

I had to wait 10min for someone to show up at the desk at check-in. Then the process took forever, though the receptionist was kind and courteous. The hallway reeked of weed. The room was thankfully clean but extremely dated. The shower was extremely slick and it’s a miracle someone hasn’t broken their neck. Maybe I’m just at the point in my life where I don’t need to stay in hotels with multiple “No cash accepted!” signs taped at the front desk.

When we arrived and for nearly 24 hous there was such a strong odor of cologne that we held our breath walking through the lobby and the bottle of water purchased from the front desk - every sip brought that odor. I washed the bottle with soap.
