The lady at the front desk was rude she didn’t want to talk, she just laid a paper down to sign but didn’t say to sign it, the room was dirty like they didn’t sweep , and one of the beds was not made up and after all that when u get home I see I was charged again for the room.

The front desk was very helpful and courteous.

It was one of the worst hotels I've ever been to. I was on a call when I pulled up and the manager came out to ask my if I was getting a room or what. I was basically rushed off the phone and rushed to go inside. The check in process was slow and the desk clerk or manager, whatever his position is, was just rude and had no personality. After I checked in I went to park. I had to climb a wall to get to my room. There were a few handicapped parking spots. These spots had ramps that lead straight into a wall. I'm not sure how those spots would be accessible to anyone, especially someone who is handicapped. When we got in our room, we were greeted by roaches and flies. We barely slept and had to sleep in our clothes because we felt uncomfortable. We didn't even use the shower or toilet for fear of what may be in those or on those areas. One of the worst places I've ever stayed. Over $200 for 1 night and the room and experience weren't worth $2.
- 3/5
The surroundings were good. The cleanliness of the room was fine except a few cockroaches were running around. I kind of expect that being that we’re in South Carolina. I tried to contact the front desk but no one was available.
- 5/5
No breakfast but our bed was comfortable. Very close to Fort Jackson and many restaurants and shopping.
- 2/5
Customer service was great. The front desk man was really nice and understanding, but the environment wasn’t family friendly. I had to move rooms because a man kept coming out his room every time I came outside and harassing me while I had my three year old with me front desk moved me to the front so he could watch out for me, which was nice but if I ever come back to Columbia, South Carolina, I will not be staying there.
- 1/5
Really didn’t like the hotel had to switch rooms because the other room was really dirty and nasty.
- 1/5
Poor service and no coffee
- 4/5
Ok
- 3/5
Reserved a king room and was told they didn't have any available. I like the first floor because I sometimes have to use a cane to walk. My daughter stayed with me the first night and was present at check-in. The only thing I didn't like this time around was having to take a double instead of the king I asked for.
- 4/5
I've stayed there many times over the years, because the price is right, the location is very convenient and the neighborhood is nice and safe. The homes in the area are lovely and expensive! There's a large church directly across the street, a large popular Mexican restaurant next door and a laundromat just past that. Beltline conveniently crosses Columbia's major streets, because it circles around the inside of Columbia.
- 5/5
easy parking in quiet neighborhood
- 2/5
booked a no smoking room and it smelled like cigarettes and there were cigarette burns on the toilet seat. both beds had mysterious looking stains on them. also the lock was broken to the door so all we had was the deadbolt. pictures didnt look close to what it actually was. didnt give it 1 star because nobody caused us any issues while we were visiting. it was very embarrassing bringing my best friend to columbia for the first time to a hotel that was not as advertised.
- 4/5
The room was kept clean. The sink had no hot water. The shower was noted to have mold. You can tell the room had been upgraded somewhat. It was obvious the facility is older and the walls needed to be repaired better. Especially in the bathroom.
- 4/5
Was able to park in front of my room
- 5/5
I loved the property and it was so quiet! I was able to pull up to my room.
- 3/5
The motel was ok overall, but the desk clerk called us earlier in the evening to ask about running our credit card. We had it set to pay upon arrival. We couldn’t remember which card was originally given, so it was the wrong one and was declined. When we arrived, instead of asking us about the situation the clerk cancelled our room! We had driven down all the way from Ohio. Thankfully, they had enough vacancies to rebook the room or we would have been out of luck. Never had the clerk call us for payment when it was a pay on arrival situation. Not good.
- 1/5
This hotel was very old and un kept. We ended up not staying because the pipe fell off the bottom of the sink and water went everywhere. The area was very shady and people congragating at hotel that werent staying there. Many folks opted to leave due to not feeling safe.
- 3/5
This is a cheap motel. No extra amenities. Cleanish, but felt dirty. The chairs in the room were dirty or stained. No evidence of bugs. The office was dirty when we checked in. There was a lot of road noise and people cutting through the parking lot. The office has bars on the window and you have to be buzzed in, in the daytime. Doesn't feel safe.
- 5/5
Loved it....very clean and safe 4my kids

I asked for a wake up call and I never got it I woke up late and my boss was mad
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. The floors do not have wall to wall Carpet that can harbor germs and dirt. The floors are beautiful wood panel so you know your floors are truly clean.

Wasn’t comfortable in the room with cleanliness and condition. The front desk was warm and welcoming. She was lovely.

The property looked run down and the rooms smelled bad. There were roaches in the door ways of the rooms, there stains on the bedding . Local roach motel.
- 5/5
The price was appropriate for my budget. The rooms were small, but the its location and cleanliness were superior. It is located close to restaurants and shopping, and a few blocks from Devine street. I liked staff, cleanliness, and their support in fixing the internet connection and the malfunction of the TV control --replacing it for a new one. The linens were soft and good quality, the towel changed daily and clean white. I recommend this place.
- 1/5
Horrible got put out for $12 and yesterday he would not let me check in after I paid for the room online.
- 1/5
Property looks fine air did not work in my room. I pretty much stayed up due to being over heated
- 5/5
It was cheap and clean. Bed was comfy shower had pretty good water pressure and it was nice and quiet
- 4/5
Close to Ft Jackson. Simple. Good enough for the price!
- 5/5
Went for my friends graduation and it was really close to the base which was perfect.
- 2/5
The room was so stinky and outdated that we decided not to stay. The furniture was chipped and cracked, and the room smelled stale and of cigarette smoke. No, thank you!
- 4/5
The property was very clean, nice hard wood floors. Bed was very comfortable.
- 1/5
They left us alone . Paint was coming off the waiis .we were charge for a room we didnt use and didnt book
- 3/5
There was no free wifi as advertisemented. The tv remote did not work
- 5/5
Very nice for the price. Walkable restaurants and shopping.
- 3/5
The location wasnt very good. The furniture in the room was old and unattractive. Not a very nice place
- 1/5
Most horrible customer service ive ever recieved in the 3 countries ive been to in my lifetime. I would highly recommend to stay away from this place.
- 4/5
I've spent a week there every year for several years. It's a very quiet, older motel. It's not fancy, but it's good value for the money.
- 1/5
I've call several times no answer, until like after 20 times of trying the lady receptionist answer and told that she will get asked the room attendant of my lost sunglasses and I need to call back after an hour and so I did. Guess what? No answer at all so I finally drive back there and asked the receptionist who was just chatting on the phone. Crazy! Then, she told me that they didn't find anything in the hotel😡😡😡 I will never book with this hotel anymore!
- 1/5
Was not good if I did not know what was to expect but when I got there was not what I was looking for new to the area and I was tided so just have to go to sleep but would not use that hotel again bathroom could be better need a lot of work.
- 1/5
Dingy and dirty. Nobody on site late at night in the event of a lock out. And it is in a really bad area.
- 3/5
The people were pretty good at the service counter but hotel room was a bit out of date and they were using sheets that had holes and had tears on them.
- 3/5
Shady motel location
- 4/5
Very clean room for a reasonable price. We were in town overnight for a concert so this worked great for the short time we were there. Bed was comfortable.
- 2/5
The room was dirty and had an odor. However, the shower was hot, water pressure was good, bed was comfy.
- 4/5
Great for the price. Clean rooms, breakfast a little like cardboard but not bad.
- 4/5
Nice rooms, cleaning services came but they left the trash
- 3/5
Hotel staff was polite and satisfactory. Room conditions were unsatisfactory. The wall air conditioner made a loud bang noise however it did cool the room. The toliet.would randomly flush and fill nonstop. There was a 2 inch gap between the hotel room door and it's frame. I could see the light of day.and hear traffic noise with it shut and locked ...
- 1/5
We came into town for the UGA/Carolina game. I kinda knew what I was walking in to and wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel. The hotel is dated and stained. The chair in the room was stained, the carpet did not look vacuumed, there was left over something in the fridge, mold in the grout, mold in the shower, a piece of Weave
- 1/5
The first room was dirty. One of the two beds had stains on every sheet and the bathroom was not clean. Front desk blamed it on the cleaning lady. Did not come all the way from Arkansas for such poor service and the first and second room was literally hot as hell at check in. Guess they value saving money on electricity more than having guests be comfortable after an 11 hour drive.
- 1/5
They never cleaned are room. To get clean towels I had to take the dirty ones down to the front desk to get clean ones. Was not happy with this place and would not recommend it.
- 3/5
When i booked i must of hit the wrong date so when we arrived at 2:30 am i realized i had booked the wrong date so they didn’t have any rooms available so i couldn’t grade the place,
- 5/5
The hotel environment needs more cleaning work
- 1/5
The bathroom had mold behined the toilet. Water stains on the ceiling, and they only have on channel on Tv.
- 1/5
Stains on bedding and room smell very stale
- 1/5
The hotel was full of prostitution. A real hole in the wall. The staff was terrible and I cant believe Expedia is even listing this hotel in their site. I would never book or recommend this hotel EVER! When we first checked in the key didnt even work and the staff had to find us another room that was so dusty and nasty. There was no hot water and everything seemed dirty and the smell was terrible. I am going to report them to the BBB but NOBODY GO HERE!
- 1/5
Poor service breakfast sucks blankets have burn holes trash everywhere rude owners good luck if you stay here I wanted my money back
- 5/5
Splended😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😂😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
- 3/5
The wall in the bathroom had a hole in it and you could feel the air coming in from it. The toilet ran all night. The room was OK for one night. It was convenient for what we needed though. Front desk staff not very knowledgeable of the area when asked questions for directions
- 1/5
The expirience Washington horrible they don't clean The room don't stop The trash
- 1/5
The rooms smelled of mildew or mold, had use febreeze a lot during our 2 day stay. Had to argue with staff to get enough towels for 4 people, they thought 2 towels were enough. The ice machine was broke. Not enough pillows.
- 1/5
The hotel smelled BAD upon entry looked disgusting and I would not DRAE close my eyes in one of those rooms! Horrible!
- 2/5
My big complaint is the stains on the bed cover. After I saw the stains, it made me feel sick. The staff could be more friendly too.
- 5/5
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself. I can say that it was alot further away from the area then i thought.
- 1/5
Hotel in bad part of town, room had stains all over the walls and smelled like urine. Photos on website very misleading taken years earlier. This place is the nastiest hotel I have ever seen.
- 2/5
In town for a last minute trip for a large party and needed 3 rooms. One room smelled like cat pee and another smelled like an ashtray. Bathroom sink still had last customers hair and makeup and bathroom tubs wouldn’t drain after showers. Tv’s sound through walls at any volume. Breakfast is muffins, cereal, and toast.
- 2/5
This would be my second time staying at Rodeway Inn. And my second time feeling not welcome by management. Power went out for 20 minutes no fault to them. Need some pillows cause I needed to put Three together in order to get a comfortable sleep. But management made me feel like I didn't matter. She was a little prejudice towards me. She smiled and treated a white guest like royalty, but when it came to me it was frowns my room wasn't ready even when I booked it in advanced. She gave me a used refrigerator and gave the white gentleman a new one. When I went to return the key to the room she snatched it out of my husband hand. We want be going back there anymore.
- 1/5
Place is old dirty and desolate. Unsafe area, Hotel was completely empty when we checked in at 7 PM. We appeared to be the only guests. Very dim lighting outside. Front door had several signs of break-ins and was damaged and did not have a secondary lock that worked. Additionally place was dirty, urine and hair on toilet seat. I returned the key to the front desk and left. I did not stay, very uncomfortable feeling. I was not able to get a refund. Ridiculous that I would have to pay for a place that was unacceptable upon arrival. Don’t make the same mistake.
- 2/5
We got a non smoking room and had burn holes in our blanket. I also was cat called from multiple different people walking near the hotel. The environment felt unsafe. Will not ever go back.
- 1/5
Pretty substandard and we are not that picky. Mold,, dirty carpet, can"t how this meets Rodeway"s standards;
- 4/5
For the price, it is pretty good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Front desk staff very straightforward and quick. Easy Uber to dowtown and you can't beat the price.
- 3/5
No
- 1/5
Hotel staff was unprofessional very rude air conditioner did not work we had to buy our own fan at wal mart microwave was about to explode when we tried to use it over all horrible experience I will never get a room at the rodeway inn again!!!!!!!! And they wanted to give me 10$ to compensate me!?!?? Ha rediculous
- 1/5
it was a horrible hotel , it was a run down drug addict hotel, I went to SC for my sons graduation from the military arrived late so had to stay, after traveling by car from NY with my family , went to the graduation by 530am to return by 8pm to find out after I told them do not go in my two rooms I rented , I even put a do not disturb sign!!! I got robbed for my things , a gold chain that was my grandson's , his little sneakers , an ipad , money , the list goes on , I filed a police report, I highly suggest you remove this hotel from hotel.com, cant even believe you guys would even recommend a hotel like this, it was horrible, dirty, roaches , no breakfast ,
- 1/5
1.The place was totally run down. 2.The beds were terrible we actually slept on springs for mattress. 3.The bath tub was all chipped up and rusty. 4. The rooms was never Cleaned. 5.The breakfast was only two types of cereals and dry muffin.
- 4/5
The manager is very nice, willing to help you, and very professional. My sister and and I arrived at 9am, check in wasn't until 2pm, but the manager had one of the rooms cleaned so we could check in early. And we weren't charged anything extra. The room had 2 queen sized beds that were very comfortable. The pillows had the perfect balance of softness and firmness, there was TV with pretty good signal, as well as a mini fridge and microwave. There was free WiFi, you use a card as a key. The entrance to your hotel leads to the street, so you don't have to constantly see the receptionist to leave an enter your room, working AC. The free breakfast is medium sized muffins in the most common flavors (chocolate chip, blueberry, plain, banana), or cereal, or coffee. All in all, it's pretty good considering the price for an overnight stay. The only bad thing is that my sister and I could smell mildew and mold in our room, not overwhelming or anything, we left the door open for a few minutes and the smell went away. But we could definitely tell that there had been prior water damage in our room. And there was this lady that works there, she was very unhelpful, and even kinda rude. But other than those 2 things, no complaints.
- 4/5
An older hotel, but it served its purpose and for the price who could or should complain. It was what was expected and I have no complaints.
- 4/5
The room was clean and quiet and had a close proximity to Fort Jackson.
- 2/5
wasn't pleased at all service was terrible rooms were dirty , workers were rude NEVER AGAIN
- 1/5
Definitely needs new management.
- 1/5
Very poor! It is not a Rodeway Inn! It is an Econolodge in poor condition in a poor neighborhood.
- 2/5
The outside of hotel was dirty. Trash in parking lot, privacy fence broken, doors in need of paint. The rooms themselves were not bad except for some unnessasary furniture and floor tile that needs replacing. Room service was good. Breakfast there is a joke.
- 2/5
You get what you pay for...the tub was rusted and thank god no fire cause the smoke detector was gone.
- 2/5
We never stayed - after seeing the neighborhood it was located in, we continued to another hotel. It did not look like a very safe area.
- 2/5
Not for a family
- 2/5
Despite this, when we were looking for our room, we went around the back of the hotel, which ended up being poorly lit and somewhat secluded. Several of the hotel guests were sitting with their doors open out on the balcony or walkway watching people, which made for a very eerie and unsettling feel. Luckily our room was on the front of the building in the well lit area next to the road, which was a sigh of relief. We did not feel safe having a room on the back side of the hotel. The continental breakfast was very poor, with Corn Flakes and Apple Jacks, some toast, and tiny muffins as the fare. We opted to go to Waffle House after the first morning there. Overall, it was a cheap hotel, and I would say we got what we paid for. Don't expect luxury when you are paying 60 bucks a night.
- 2/5
Always people yelling outside. No phone. No remote for the tv. No shampoo or conditioner.
- 3/5
Dump. Not a very good hotel. This is a budget hotel so I do not expect much but this place was VERY run down. the elevator creeked a lot which was scary. My initial room had no heat/ac and the remote did not work. They did relocate me to a better room but really after driving for 6 hours and arriving near midnite I did not want to go through repacking and moving. Good price and ok if you are just stopping in for a few hours of rest before moving on.
