I think that you should not allow dogs. The room smelled horrible of dog Dogs smell. Stingy with bath towels. We asked for bath towels twice. Housekeeping said they would bring them and never did.

So guest that do not like that smell will not have to suffer. Dogs smell. Stingy with bath towels. We asked for bath towels twice. Housekeeping said they would bring them and never did.

Very nice stay. Lots of room. The place was really clean, we had two bedrooms, this place is like an apartment. I enjoyed myself, the staff was excellent. We had a little car trouble and the staff instantly gave me several options. Everything worked out great. If I am in SC again I will definitely look to stay at Main Stay Harbison.

There were always people just randomly hanging around in the parking lot.

When I went to the front desk to report the problems. I had to wake up the clerk. The she acted like I made the mess and was rude. She put me in a different. This room was a bit cleaner but still had its own problems. The stove top had a film over that was nasty and was easily scraped off. There was also a spot in the cupboard that looked like dried milk. When I brought this to the manager attention she said had spoken to the house keeper. The manager acted like I was bothering her.

The property staff was no help. Manager was never there to speak with about issues we had. TVs didn't work. Remote had no batteries. Overall terrible experience and no one cared to fix simple issues.

Other than that, I had a good stay.

Was a stay for repairs in our home.

We only stayed for a night but it was lacking in cleanliness for sure. The floors were sticky, headboard had finger prints on it, bathroom was yucky. The floor had ink stains on it, the doorhandles needed tightening. My husband was happy it had a TV, a bed, and a toilet, but it was far below my standards, especially based on the pictures.

The room was in fair condition but it was not the room I chose. It did not have lounge chair or sofa to sit on which was a room I chose due to my spouse in a wheel chair. The walk in shower was to small for a disabled person to sit on a shower chair. There were no grab bars in shower at all. The refrigerator leaks water inside of fridge. The side walk only have one lower walk in for wheelchair and is not near the elevator. It was difficult to walk on the sidewalk with a wheelchair recipient due to parking over the sidewalk which made it difficult to pass by with wheelchair. This place has to correct many things to help disabled customers.

I stay in a lot of extended stay hotels, but this one is at the top of the list. big, clean, updated room with a good, well stocked kitchen. When I walked in for the first time I thought my room may have been the actual one I saw in the photos on the website. Remember in the old days, when there was housekeeping? They still have it here! Close to all kinds of restaurants, parks, a huge mall and whatever. Great staff, too.

Location great. Close to restaurants and shops. Room was clean however, I wasnt aware my husband and I would have to be sharing the room with roaches. Dried up roach remains in the sheets, baby roach crawling on the sheet, baby roach in the toilet bowl and around the bathroom sink. I spoke to front desk who stated they had the room recently sprayed and would follow up with another spray. I couldnt believe the hotel was still renting out the room with this pest issue.We flew cross country from California and this was a not so great experience.

I was shocked when I got to this hotel. It was ranked very high, but when I arrived it was not good. I seemed to be bothering the staff when I checked in. Then when I went to my building the smell of weed was overwhelming. When I went inside the smell continued. Then I got in a creeky elevator to my floor. The carpet was nasty and the hall floor creeked. I entered a room that had a tv that didn't work plugs that were painted over and light fixtures flopping loose on the wall. I only stayed 1 night of my 4 night reservation. I just checked out and left.

Everything was good. The grounds and the building need a little work, but I guess that will be fixed with the remodel. The room smelled a little of mildew though.

The staff was very friendly. I checked in very late (11:45pm) & the gentleman at the desk checked me in with a smile. My room was spotless & very large. Very impressed for the price. The only con was something in my room smelled like cigarettes (non smoking room). I think it was the bedding. I was too tired to care but as a non-smoker it has unappealing.

Very nice and clean property. Would have been nice to have shampoo/conditioner filled, more utensils/cooking equipment, a rack for wet washcloths and towels as well as chairs by the pool but otherwise was a very nice stay.

Nice property. Rooms were recently renovated, but had some small cockroaches milling about. Staff was great and the area had plenty of food/shopping options.

The room was fine, but when we got up the next morning, we saw the police at the office. We learned when we came out to the parking lot to load our car that seven vehicles in the lot had been broken into overnight, including the pick-up truck parked next to our vehicle. This was in a well-lit area along the driveway between the hotel’s two buildings and right outside of the office. I’m not sure how the person working overnight could not have heard something. We felt very fortunate that our car was not broken into, but we will not be staying at this property again.

The walls in my room were very thin. I could hear the traffic outside all night long. Also, it sounded like a herd of elephants was walking in the rooms above me. Very clean very modern, but use a white noise app to sleep due to the noise.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Definitely would stay again.

Halls are shabby, housekeeping does not do a good enough job overall.

I wasn't a fan of the receptionist. Wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. I think it is a horrible idea not to let the mainstay personnel eat breakfast just because they have a kitchenette. That is the worst thought process I have ever heard for a hotel stay. I made a call to the front desk and got blown off. That was a slap to the face. Parking was very limited. The price wasn't worth the stay. To hike the price up 40, 50, 60 dollars just because of a day is horrible. I am on the fence if I ever do business again with this hotel.

Roaches in the room

Check in lady “Miss SJ” was very rude. she did not smile at all, you could tell she did not want to be there, answered questions with vague answers. She was not personable. We needed extra towels- were told “y’all have to bring the dirty ones back to us and we will replace them with clean ones”. in all my years of traveling and staying at a hotel, I have never heard of having to exchange dirty towels for clean ones. Wouldn’t stay with this company again.

When I arrived, the door had already been opened. Dirty dishes were in the sink, and the table was filthy. In the bathroom, an ear swab was inside the toilet, and the vent was dusty.

A bit of disappointment in the hotel room: There were gnats in the room, the AC leaked on the floor, and the floor was dirty. On a positive note: Loved having a kitchenette and all items were very clean, even the appliances. The shower was really nice with plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable and we got a good night sleep. Also, the room was very quiet, we couldn’t even hear the traffic except if a vehicle had a loud muffler. It was very peaceful and quiet. Very nice receptionist at check in. Walls and doors were very dirty. Finger prints left on headboards and TV’s. One out of 3 TV’s worked. I would not stay at Main Stay hotel again.

Our first room had water leak from AC unit, broken toilet seat and shower door and sheets were dirty. We had to change rooms. Next room no better. We left and stayed at the Aloft hotel down the street. The new paint on this hotel cannot cover the filthy rooms and dirty, musty smells of an old building. Front desk was friendly and super understanding. They are on point!

You can hear everything. someone knocked on our window too I wasn’t going to look though. We could hear people talking outside and the cars on the road. The bed was hard. The floor was dirty I found hair on the bathroom floor and walking around barefoot our feet were dirty. The staff were friendly and kind. The stay was okay. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and had a lot of space. Every room had a tv. The kitchen/ living room space was spacious. The kitchen area and fridge were clean.

Newer clean comfortable. We had an over night room but in the extended stay side. Kitchenette was very helpful as we wanted 2 meals in room.

The room smelled pretty bad. The towels were dirty with stains. The floor was sticky. There spider webs in the room.

It was an extremely frustrating experience because the parking wasn’t available and there was entirely too much noise from people sitting in cars playing music late into the night.

I did not like that the parking lot was so small and the parking was horrible. If you wanted to go out late and came back no where to park. The evening staff was not good... Someone went unto my room right after we arrived.. We left and went to dinner. We had the DND on the door came back it was on the floor.... SMH The room had long hairs all over the place very unclean dishes we pulled out of cabinet were dirty. We didnt get clean towel until it was time to leave. I came for my birthday and I couldnt shower nor Iron my clothes before our elegant dinner. The lady on first shift was awesome. She left us towel we went down and they said we didnt have any there for us. On my Birthday weekend I expected more... Not happy with it at all with my stay.

Well traveling from GA I got a flat tire. I called the hotel just after checkin I was going to be late. Not knowing I would have a hard time getting a tow to where I was. It's A Saturday evening to late at night. Stuck on the side of the road. Tried to explain this situation to the hotel no kind of understanding from them. Nor cared. I paid for a room I did not stay in. Things happen unexpectedly.

This place is great and I got way more than I bargained for. The staff is so friendly and willing to help with everything. The rooms are very clean and it's quiet and close to the mall and a lot of eating places. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Shamika (sp?) And Mrs. SJ for being the best!

It was a good stay. Room was clean. Tv and kitchenette worked good.

Not an expensive option, very clean, nice shower, room looks recently renovated, crispy clean linen, and super confy beds.

Clean remodeled rooms with convenient kitchenette. Also smells really good inside the property. Close to shopping, restaurants and freeway and 10 min from downtown Columbia and 30 min from Fort Jackson Army base. I highly recommend it.

Had to sign out an iron from the front desk. Stains all over hallway and elevator carpet.

My stay was great! A great price for the nights i stayed and great service from the front desk. Close to everything amd the room was amazing. Do wish there was a recliner in the room. Initially i was staying one night and wound up staying three. The very nice and professional woman at thr front desk made my extension very easy as well versus having to go through an annoying process. I hated to leave but the weekend rate jumped exponentially. When in the area, will definitely stay again.

It looked like the property had just been renovated. Doors dragged and were difficult to open and close. Shower door would not stay closed so the bathroom floor was always wet. I found no way to control the AC other than on or off. Staff was friendly and helpful but the building just was not ready for occupancy.

The stay was good besides the shower would not drain due to hair clogging drain but after removing was able to get shower to drain. Room was spacious and otherwise happy with the stay.

It was okay, just a strange place. The pool was closed by DHEC, the room was clean but the hallways were creepy and tje hallway carpets dirty, the outside door that you badge into the building with the room key was broken. It was just a strange place to stay. The registration staff was lovely. Not an overall bad place but just weird.

WAS NICE AND COURTEOUS.HE NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE AT NIGHT. i WAS IN 323 AND MY CONCERN WAS THE A/C UNIT WAS LEAKING WATER, SO I ATTEMPTED TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES.

We booked due to hurricane Helene and it was one of the few places that still had rooms. We were a little skeptical because we were looking for something a little nicer, but we were very satisfied with the condition of the room. It was spacious and VERY clean!!! The only thing that could have been better would have been a couch or comfortable chair to sit in, there was plenty of space for one. The pool has a notice that it’s been shut down by DHEC, idk what that’s all about but it was a little sketch. The outside had a lot of trash and beer cans around, but it was right after a hurricane so I’ll give them a little grace on that. Overall the room was so clean that we overlooked everything else. We would stay here again.

The floors in the unit were not clean. Our socks were filthy just walking around. It was totally a no frills hotel. No tissues, tiny cheap towels. The rack for TP kept falling off. However, all being said the beds weren't bad and the room was large. We had to queen beds in 1 room and a separate room with another queen bed along with a couch in the main area. That suited our situation and that is hard to come by in the hotels.

Love the staff. There were kids running through the halls yelling and screaming most of the night. They are still getting the area up and running so there’s some minor issues. The room still has some trash but nothing for me to cause a fuss about.

The property was just remodeled it looks good but still has a little flaws. The a/c unit was leaking and there was water in the floor. Everything was nice still a little construction.

The room was nice, however the walls are super thin and the windows are old. You can hear the people outside chatting. The neighbors upstairs, who probably live there, have a bunch of kids who are up all night running back and forth. You also hear non stop toilets flushing at 4:45 am. Also, the traffic noise is really loud. The windows let in smoke from people outside and the entry to the room building smells like pot. We ended up cutting our stay short by one night because we couldn’t take it anymore. The room did have two bedrooms and three queen beds. If you are staying one night it is probably okay. The staff was really nice.

AC dripped all over the floor. Towels were the answer. Room was so saturated with fabulouso that your feet stuck to the LVP flooring. It was so smelly it gave you a headache.

Our room had the essentials - but was not decorated and had minimal furniture. The room we were given was a nice arrangement- two separate bedrooms, a large bathroom and a large kitchen/living area. Our room was clean. The hotel is close to gas stations, a shopping mall and restaurants.

Enter your room you shut the door completely until you hear the locks snap. If the door isn’t shut completely it is very easy for the door to pushed open without the need of a key. There isn’t any breakfast and the pool and laundry is currently unavailable . I’m sure that’s due to them still renovating. Other than that ! Main stay is the place to be !
