    The room got dark. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was not refilled in a timely manner. There were not enough washcloths. Room had not been properly cleaned. Old dirty sheets were on the pull out sofa. No microwave in the room.

    There is a mandatory $20 parking fee - not an issue, but the parking situation is awful. We paid the fee, but there was no attendant to give us the card for the garage. The person at the desk told us not to worry about it, just give them our room number and they’d mark us down for when we came back later that day after checking in. When we got back, there were no available parking spaces and we couldn’t get into the overflow garage because we didn’t have the ticket from the valet/parking attendant being absent earlier in the day. I waited in the car behind a couple other of vehicles for valet to come and get us situated. After several minutes with no movement, I went inside to the front desk and told them about the situation. They said valet had stepped out and they didn’t know when they’d be back. I explained that I was stuck with my three toddlers in the car and could t park because they hadn’t given me a ticket when I paid earlier. At this point there was a line of 7-8 cars behind me with no one able to park or get into their room because of the situation. The one staff member at the front desk was clearly overwhelmed and unable to help us. Valet finally showed up and we were able to get parked around 45 minutes after getting there, which is an eternity with young kids in tow. Overall, the hotel was great, but the parking situation truly spoiled the stay.

    Great location for good dining in area. No restaurant on site. No room service. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Had to ask for trash to be removed and to get clean towels. We were last room in their schedule and they rarely got to us. They charged me for valet parking every day. I self parked.

    The Hyatt, downtown Columbia The Vista, is an amazing hotel. I checked in 2 hours earlier. My family came into town for a weekend getaway and we truly enjoyed the pool. The staff was great, my room was clean. My cousin did have a minor issue with her room, where housekeeping came and fixed. The parking is $20.00 per night on property, but there's plenty of parking right outside of the property on the street. From my understanding, it's free to park on the weekends. Monday is when the parking meter will need money. No tickets now.... I recommend this place. I'll definitely will be returning for my next stay in Columbia. And remember, restaurants are located in walking distance. Check out The Game Show challenge, it's literally 50 feet away from the hotel entrance.

    Clean and good location. Check in was 3pm. We arrived at 3:15 and were told the room was not ready. After two hours (5:15pm) we got our room. For a one night visit it screwed up mine and my wife’s concert.

Check in was a disaster. There were upwards of 50 people sitting around waiting to be able to check in, due to rooms not being ready. I get that the staff was stressed, but our desk clerk was close to rude and definitely unfriendly. We left for dinner and came back later to check in. After 3 hours we finally got checked in. The bed in our room was uncomfortable and the base made a horrible screech every time you moved. The typical hotel breakfast was included, but was lukewarm at best.

    Arrived at 3:45pm to check in, but were told our room wasn't ready. Front desk indicated they were short-staffed and so had no idea when our room would be ready. We missed our dinner reservations. Finally, at 5:02pm we were given our room key. Thr room was cool and clean. The staff did the best they could with so many upset guests.

    Room/building was clean and modern. Parking wasn't sufficient for a full hotel. Breakfast was fine - fairly typical hotel buffet. Bad experience checking in. Due to short cleaning staff and some issues with a large number of guests leaving at the same time, rooms weren't ready at 3pm checking. The lobby and restaurant was full of people waiting for their rooms to be ready. Other than that, all was good. Within walking distance to Colonial Arena.

    Finally, the worst part was that after a late night, the room's alarm clock started blaring at 6am and kept going off at odd intervals. When we met up with our other party, they said their alarm also went off at 6am! We were talking about it in the lobby for breakfast later and 2 more rooms of people overheard and said the same happened to them. No way was that just a coincidence. That coupled with the fact they couldn't get rooms ready for checking time makes me wonder if they're trying to get people up and out the door. Definitely fishy, and extremely rude.

    I would give it five star but unfortunately there’s one thing that i disliked. everything about the hotel was nice, they even give a paper with all of the local restaurants and things to do in the area along with having a bar. the room was clean and accessible and very accommodating however my dislike is that the accessibility rooms are for some reason on the top floor and in the very back compared to the elevator. i was made aware of this though before arrival by the wonderful staff- i just don’t understand why the accessibility rooms are the furtherest walking distance in the hotel which can pose a problem to others with mobility issues (this includes being fully carpeted which would also be more difficult for wheelchair users)

    The room really wasn’t cleaned at all and it was disappointing that the pool wasn’t open when that is one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. But other than that, everything was good. Unfortunately it seems like no hotel has truly clean rooms anymore. But not changing sheets and thoroughly cleaning bathroom is unsanitary and unacceptable.

    Nice property close to downtown The staff on reception had terrible attitudes. No greeting. I stayed to speak and they cut me off and Trudeau asked for my name, said the room wasn’t ready which was fine as we were an hour early. When I said I’d be back to check in at 3pm which is their published check-in time, they rudely told me I could come at 3:15. I reiterated that I’d be back at 3 and waited in the lobby. They proceeded to talk loudly and negatively about me while I was within earshot, and also with my young daughter. The rude receptionist then barked out my last name from across the room, and checked us in. Of course, we arrived to a room right by the elevators and the ice machine. These ladies were rude, unprofessional and above all, petty. They were on shift at 2:00pm on Saturday 2/7/2026 and left a horrible impression. The rest of the staff were fine, just these two who like to be rude to guest. Would t stay at a Hyatt again because of them.

    This felt more like I was staying at a Days Inn instead of a Hyatt. The front staff was mediocre at best but one young lady needs to take training so she knows that guests should ALWAYS come first, even when on the phone with your GM. The valet stops at 11 pm but is not advertised that way nor did staff communicate that until I pulled up after 11pm, only to be told I would need to park my own car. The lot was full so we had to find parking on the street. Do yourself a favor and pick a different hotel.

    We reserved a king suite on Expedia . We ended up in a handicap suite for some reason. The shower water goes all over the bathroom which is little annoying .Suggest a long drain by the shower vs a circle drain by the toilet .

    We were going to give the hotel 2 stars, but I’m giving it a 3 due to the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff, minus the maintenance people. We stayed 3 nights and the first night we had tv issues, which the tv was programmed to another room so we couldn’t watch what we wanted, only what that room was watching. The bathroom lock was broken, and the sink drain was clogged. We had bought this up with the staff on the very first day, said they put in a work order, and we were basically gone all day the first 2 days of our stay and they STILL didn’t have any of it fixed. We checked out the hotel on the 3rd day and nothing was ever fixed at all. Oh, and the fridge was barely cold, didn’t matter what temp you set it at, still wasn’t cooling. All in all, we will probably pick another hotel if we are ever in the area again.

    Here are the cons: - There are 2 elevators for the building. One elevator was out during our entire stay. During busy times, I took the stairs a lot. One afternoon both elevators were out and everyone was walking up and down stairs. Although they got the elevator repaired, this seemed like a difficult situation for people who are not able-bodied. -Parking was terrible. We mostly had to valet while there. Sometimes this also took a while to get our car. -The shades on the windows do not block out all of the light. If you like a really dark room, this hotel is not for you. Curtains would be a much better option. -If you have multiple people in the room, the bathroom is frosted rolling door. If someone is sleeping, but another person needs a light on in the bathroom, it will illuminate the whole room. The bathroom door also does not offer much privacy. -Breakfast was lacking. I asked one of the employees if they had certain items and I was told that a truck did not come in time and they would have to buy from a local store. The next day it was apparent no one bothered to purchase the items. Overall, it was okay, but nothing great. Also, I would choose to stay somewhere else next time.

    Standard hotel. Directions bring you to the front side. But, parking andvthe entrance is on Lady Street in the back. My bathroom at home is cleaner. Housekeeping ran out of supplies to remove red shower growth. Nobody changed linens on second bed. Drape dropped off and bright light ended sleeping early in the morning.

    We stayed here for a baseball series and it was perfect! The rooms were phenomenal, bed was comfortable, and the location is amazing. If we come back to Columbia, we will be staying here again.

    We spent a day and night at the Hyatt as we were there for my husband’s military graduation, and everything was perfect! The children loved the fact that there was an indoor pool which they were able to enjoy that afternoon and the next morning at 9am. Check out is at noon which gave us enough time to do what we have to do instead of feeling hurried. They have a wonderful selection of breakfast options and they have a small market, bar and dining options in and out of the hotel. We had a great time!

    As usual ..my reception, stay, and departure are so blissful at the Hyatt. The staff takes so pride in they're performance and it shows. My family and I have been vacationing here for years now.     Horrible! We were told our room was ready by email. We showed up, they gave us a room key when we walked in someone else was in the room. We had to wait 20 mins for them to clean another room, which they rushed and was dirty. We have three small children with us, that were ready for naps. The pool was indoor which we thought would be nice, but there was other tournaments and cheer competitions in town and the cheer girls were completely out of control with no adult supervision ages 10-14, the hotel staff was not able to locate parents as there were many complaints from other guest besides us in hotel. There was water all over the lobby floor with no slip signs from the kids unsupervised running around wet from pool. The hallways were loud, we checked in at 2:30p and check out at 8:30p we had, had enough. We were already booked to stay there again 3/28 weekend but canceled that stay. There are other hotels, aloft across the way and Hilton. We will not return to this Hyatt again, very disappointed in this one.

    Trash was left in the room from previous customers trash including cough drops and other medicine. Just hopeful that whatever they had I don't get because I doubt it was actually cleaned properly
