The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The room was very dirty. The carpet area hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time and the floors were so dirty, they have not been mopped in quite some time.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially Walisha. The location is near the interstate, several restaurants and shops. The pleasant smell of cleanliness hit as soon as you enter the hotel, and the rooms did not disappoint either. The room was spacious, very clean and plenty of towels were provided. Breakfast was good. Pork and turkey sausage options were available. Parking was plentiful. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel! The staff were great, the beds n pillow’s were comfy, they had Dove products, the breakfast was ok it did what it needed to do, the staff were friendly, and they even had toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, razors, and shaving cream.. I didn’t plan on staying that’s why I didn’t have mine. But the rooms are also big!! The pool was nice but cold and I would go back again and again. They have an automatic pancake maker I never saw one of those I didn’t like breakfast was over at 9:30 normally in the weekends hour’s are later

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The bed was very comfortable. I have some dietary restrictions and I was able to find something to eat for breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Room was nice and clean.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. We were there for family day and graduation in Fort Jackson and the location was ideal, only about 8 min away. Stores and restaurants close by. Clean and super comfy beds. Gym was super clean. Will definitely stay here again if I have to come to another graduation.

Location is great. Driving distance to Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Augusta is not bad. Our ice machine was broke on the 5th floor and there isn't one on the first floor/lobby area, so had to go to a different floor for ice. We survived tho.

Hotel was overbooked and we didn't get a room.

Overall the stay was good. It was right near the gymnastics competition we were attending so that was the biggest perk. There were a few things that were not the best, when my kids wanted to get in the indoor pool it was freezing cold, there was a group that was being rowdy in the pool area and a group of teenagers that were going up and down the stairs inattended. At some point someone poured a drink down the stairs and there were all sticky. The breakfast was good but ran out of stuff very quickly.

Room was clean, breakfast stated 6 am-9am but it was 630-930am. The real issue was that we were trapped in an elevator for 30 +minutes and the fire department had to be called to get us ok. The issue was that NOT ONE SINGLE STAFF MEMBER checked on us. There was no follow up to make sure we were ok, not a courtesy call or anything. I understand to some it was only 30 + minutes but it was also with my 70 year old mother. Checking on us would have definitely gone a long way. Hopefully no one else has this experience.

Very nice location, The staff was very courteous. Upon check-in at the time we checked in the first floor elevators were not working. The room was clean and comfortable, but there was so much noise coming from the hallway So sleeping was an issue as our room was right at the elevator breakfast was fine. Coffee machine wasn’t working properly. Overall I’ll give this property 4****

Had to go down to front desk to get new towels and they would not take the dirty ones so i had to keep them in my room. They would not take out the dirty garbage bags. I could not check out of hotel from my room i had to go to front desk!!

The rooms are dated. Unable to open window shade for natural lighting. French fries & medication wrapper visible on the floor letting me know that it had not been properly cleaned before we entered the room. No one at the front desk twice when I went. There were two elevators, but only one was functioning during our entire stay. We made the best of our stay for the purpose that we were there.

The water pressure was poor and hot water wasn't hot. So I went down stairs and mentioned it the guy working the counter and he did care. My only issue

The best thing about our stay was how peacefully quiet it was. The room was too dark even with the lights on even though the lamps worked but were broken. Breakfast was meh, add grits to the menu.

We only stayed for one night, but would definitely stay again. Breakfast had plenty of options and the location was good for our needs.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! No complaints! Check in was easy and quick, staff was attentive and friendly, the room was spacious and clean, the bed and pillows were amazing and the shower was top notch! Definitely recommend!!!

This was a very large, comfortable room. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Our stay was quiet and relaxed. The breakfast was good. I would like to see whole milk on the menu.

The breakfast was pretty good most of the time. They also upgraded our room and took money off our stay due to the pool being closed and no AC in our first room. It was on a badder side of town. The pool that we were very excited to use, was not able to be used. There was only one elevator operating. The laundry facilities needed to cleaned pretty badly.

The hotel has a few bumps and bruises from hosting lots of guests but it was clean, quiet and well-run. The exception was the sub-par breakfast but thats more on corporate. Holiday Inn needs to ditch the velvetta filled omelets -bleh! They had also run out of regular milk by 8am so everyone had dry cereal.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. As soon as you walked in you could smell and see how clean the facility was . The receptionist came right away and got me checked it she was polite and friendly . Once we got into the room it was very clean and the bed was soft not hard and the room was well stocked . In the morning we had the complimentary breakfast and it was delicious . Had a good variety and again the staff were friendly and helpful . They kept the food stocked and cleaned tables as guests left . The receptionist when we checked out was just like the rest friendly and pleasant.

When we checked in they didn’t have our reservation in their system. The woman was very nice and luckily was able to find us another room. Also in the middle of the night our shower curtain fell down twice and woke us up

We were there for 3 nights. However, our keys would not work. Every day we had to get them redone. Front desk kept saying that 1 key deletes the other key?? There were 2 of us in the room so why would it do that? If my husband left to do something he couldn't get back in and vice versa. That was a pain to keep redoing those keys every day. Only other complaint would be that the water doesn't get very hot. I had it turned all the way to the hottest setting in the shower and it still was just warm. Breakfast was good. There was hot food option and decent choices. Staff for breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Although we didn't need housekeeping to clean our room, they were very accommodating in bringing us whatever fresh towels or anything else that we needed. I would give this hotel an 8 out of 10. But overall a decent place to stay. I would stay there again if I was in the area

First you have staff that are rude and do not seem to know anything about the hotel nor do they seem to care. Let me help you out: Room 316 we complained that the AC never stopped running therefore we froze the entire 3 days we stayed keep in mind the temperature outside was 56 to 60 degrees the nights were low 50's! We flew in for our son's Fort Jackson graduation. Then our tub filled to shine deep as we rushed through a shower as to NOT FLOOD THE FLOOR!! The lady at front desk answer to our hotel room issues were um I don't usually work here this is not my hotel I'm just filling in-REALLY? We asked for maintenance LMBO-her response IDK if they have anyone who is maintenance here-OMG! Then she moved us to a room where the door had wood missing near the lock as if someone used a crow bar tonbreak in the room- ARE YOU SERIOUS!! So we had to decide either freeze or our safety! We decided to live to see our son's graduation so we went back to room 316 to face the freezing cold and the Noah Arks bathroom! We are Diamond Elite Members this is by far the absolute worst hotel stay ever! Not to mention your GM Hutchinson is rude and short tempered ! I approached him about breakfast being out except for some black bananas, tiny apples, grits, pancakes! There was no milk, eggs, bacon, sausage, apple juice nor orange juice! The time of my complaint was 745 am, breakfast is from 630-930! His response we are out- wow as sadly families with kids continued to come down for breakfast!

The room was so much larger than we expected. When we arrived it was 11:30pm and we were greeted by Patrick who made us feel so welcome and that he genuinely was happy for us to be staying there. Would stay here again if needing to be back in Columbia, SC for anything.

We booked on Expedia a month in advance- upon on arrival the manager could not locate our reservation until I gave him our confirmation number. He then sent us to our ‘assigned’ room only for the key card to reject entry. My husband walked back down to the front desk where he rescanned the keys and sent my husband back upstairs. The keys still did not work so- here he goes again. Mind you this is midnight and we are exhausted. The manager came up with his master unlock key card tool and then we heard screaming from inside “you have the wrong room!” Turns out our room had been given away. We waited another 20 minutes for the issue to be resolved and a room found for us. We did not get our king size bed as reserved, but at that point we didn’t care. To the poor lady frightened by this mix up, I am so sorry management was inept and unorganized! As we waited, we heard multiple complaints from other guests, unmade beds, ladder and paints in one room and rooms assigned to them were NOT what they reserved. Holiday Inn- do better!!!

When I questioned her why I was charged $75 more, she got mad at me and was very difficult. When we got to our to our room, it had a very weird smell, there was hair in the bathroom and the beds were awful. During the night we were awakened all night by a drip. Long story short, the drip was the ac and the weird smell was mold. The clerk this time was super accommodating and we changed rooms. No hair and no smell in the next room.

For our purpose of staying one night on our way to Florida, this hotel was good. It is close to many restaurants and stores. The area seemed safe.

The staff was amazing. Room was very nice but a little dark for my wife she loves a lot of natural light. Overall it was a great hotel.

Front desk staff not all that friendly. But the housekeepers were very friendly, they would not walk pass you without saying hello.

1st "STAY AWAY" This hotel is the worst we have stayed. Unclean, unclean unclean. Checkin wasnt ready for us to see the room. Fine came back at 3pm. Got into the room and crawling up the wall was a small spider we thought. But got close it was a ROACH. We checked to room out then here comes another one across the floor. Same time one crawls across the pillow while our neice is on the bed. We went to tell the manager. And her attitude was OHHH WELL it happens. Then she thought I was someone else. To have more attitude. When she realized I wasnt who she thought I was she didnt even apologize for her rudeness. Just said here is another room bring the key to the other room when your moved. Breakfast was very simple and non tasteful. Drinks are very watered down. The next room wouldn't get cooler and we already paid thru a third party whom we are working with on credit or refund. Renovation underway and did not realize we could not use the pool and it was one of the reasons we picked this location. It was listed on Holiday Inn website I was told but not on Expedia.

I'm giving 3 stars because the pool was "closed for maintenance" for the extent of our stay. This was a big disappointment since we had chosen this hotel in part because of the pool. The kids were very disappointed. The room itself was large and updated but there was no functional fan in the bathroom and there was mold marks on the ceiling. On the other hand, they were very accommodating as we had to extend our stay for one night and we were able to do so without any issue. Overall it was clean, the staff was nice, and there was good variety of food for breakfast.

Good service but need a little maintenance on walls and faucet

The breakfast offering was good. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, omelets, cereal, coffee and juices. The beds were comfortable.

Overall the property and room were fine but after 8 hours in the car with a 9 and 6 year old sooooo disappointed the pool had been closed for several days and we were never warned. We chose it specifically so the kids could swim. Never offered any compensation nor real apology. Warned the front desk they would get a bad review from me, I was disgusted at the false advertising.

There were literally people having sex all night in the rooms really loudly. It sound like their were parties being hosted in the hall ways. It was a frat house and I had two children with me. I asked the staff to help. They tried to quiet them down but it was terrible all weekend. It was awful. I will never stay there again.

The a/c wasn’t on/working in the hallways. In the room it wouldn’t get any colder than 73 degrees so I’m not sure if they were having issues with their cooling system? Pool was just okay. Staying now in a rated 7 hotel and I feel it’s better than our stay at the holiday in.

Great location quiet.

Property was located on busy highway and was hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. However there was a lot of wear and tear on the furniture and especially the bathroom.

Breakfast was good. Bed was ok. Shopping nearby. No one at front desk for 15 minutes at check in.

My vehicle along with 6 others were broken into during our stay so I would not recommend that location

The room was very nice. My only negative is that the TV had no online guide. The card containing the channel line up didn't match the available channels. I arrived late at night, got ready for bed, and wanted to watch a little TV before retiring. The card listed channels 4 thru 62. The TV had channels 66-1 thru 88-?. When I selected 66-1, for example, there was a long commercial with no indication of what channel I was looking at. Very frustrating to find a channel to watch. I tried to call the from desk to see if there was a way to find out what channels were available, and the phone didn't work either. The next morning I went to the front desk and found that there are two different TV channel line up systems, and that the card in my room didn't match the TV channel line up in my room. Very frustrating. Other than the TV issue, the room was very nice and breakfast was great.

The stay was nice. I was unaware of the parking fee they charged and when I tried to speak with the manager, her attitude was horrible. Upon check-in, there was no conversation about the parking fee. Parking at the facility to should included with the stay. This is NOT the Ritz.

The toilet was broken. The water was not hot. The cookies were for members only. The front desk worker did give us two but only after a lot of contemplation. No employees smiled.

The area around the hotel had.so.e criminal activity going on .

The two queen room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty and convenient. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool but there were no pool towels. Price point was good.

The hotel itself was pretty much what you would expect. The only thing that caught me off guard was they tried to charge a 5 dollar parking fee I am fine with this if I’m in a busy downtown area, but it’s ridiculous on the outskirts of Columbia, There is a Walmart less than a mile away. South Carolina When I pressed the issue the hotel staff dropped the charge, but it still just seems like a money grab

Hotel charged $5 to park. Only working ice machine was on the 5th floor. In the process of a remodel. Hotel was clean.

Conveniently located around different eaterys, package store & walmart. The staff were friendly and hospitable. My room was clean and cold. Will definitely rent again when Im in the area.

Disappointed that they advertised a hot-tub only to find that it had been taken out. Front desk was extremely helpful when I needed to print a document. Breakfast was just OK.

The pool was closed when we stayed here, and we would have really appreciated a heads up, as that was a main reason we chose this hotel.

A/C was broken - offered a fan and to change to a standard room (we had a suite). No one available to fix the A/C and they refused to give us a discount. It was 73-74 degrees in that room all night. We are hot natured and like it about 70 degrees at night. I won’t book there again, unfortunately.

Overall, not a bad experience. But the hotel is showing its age. The AC in my room didn’t fully cool the room and also the mattress springs were really worn out. But for the price, overall it was clean and safe. I’d probably stay there again.

Hotel was noisy at night and the hallways were rather creepy. The waitress at breakfast the morning of 2/13 was great...so pleasant and cheery!

Breakfast was horrible! Pancake machine was broken. Eggs were all gone by 9 and food cold. Ice machine couldn't be found.

I brought a group of music education faculty and students to the state conference. Our stay was superb in every way. I particularly appreciated the clean, comfortable beds and the delicious breakfast!

Staff was very rude and unprofessional. The first night I found a cockroach in my room. Also, the pool was out of service.

From the time of arrival the front desk said the pool was shut down due to pump broken. Then I asked for a blanket for the pull out couch and the front desk said they don’t have any blankets because they’re overbooked. So we get a bed with no blanket? That was a weird experience. No courtesy to offer a discount for the inconvenience was discouraging. We travel there a lot not sure will be back.

In town for a funeral! Upon our arrival! Both employees greeted myself and my family! Very informative and reminded us, that if anything is needed, to let them know!

The pancake machine was out of order in the entire stay and the oatmeal was cold. Other than that it was ok.

Hotel unwilling to make a change in my check in date even though I contacted them and Expedia immediately upon making the error. Did not want a refund/ just a change of date. Very disappointed!

Overall I was impressed with the property, amenities, comfort, location, etc. The breakfast was good, especially the cinnamon rolls. The main aspect that frustrated me a little was the fact that the vending was cashless. I didn't want to put snacks on the same card that held the room because the room was a business expense and the snacks were personal. I ended up leaving the convenience of the property to walk across the street to a gas station so I could shop from a convenience store.

Really nice large room. Had a separate area for work,watching tv,etc. Comfortable chair and ottoman.

A great hotel that lives up to the holiday inn brand. The breakfast is amazing, the room is clean and a good size. The staff were very helpful and the area has lots of options for dinner when travelling through. Area seemed safe.

I really don’t know who is giving this property 8/10 or more . My original room the toilet didn’t flush. Then the second room the shower curtain was not mounted to the walls it was held up by a collapse able shower curtain rod. Then the culk job on the toilet and shower must have done by a blind person. Also the shower itself was thinning as the white color was fading off. So no this place was not anything but a 1 star

The heater in my room, the return who has rent beside the bed, barely 8 feet and it was so so loud when it came on I could not get any rest. It was here in the bathtub when I came in from a previous person here was in the bed From a previous person. I should’ve had complain about it, but I kept my mouth shut.
