Hotel very clean. The room was nice. I did not like the parking area. You have to walk down an ally. There is garbage dumpster and just strangers hanging in the ally. Just not safe. Then you have to park in a parking garage.

Clean, great location walkable to restaurants, parking garage next door, staff was great, bar downstairs, price was right. Window looks into parking garage next door but it wasn’t loud, the price was less than others, and we liked the other aspects so it wasn’t a big factor.

Front desk staff exceptional. Room very cozy. It was such a nice stay I hate to mention this.. only negative, there was no drinking water in the room because the water temp in sink was lukewarm. I did go get ice late last night and it was fine, but the sink water needs to be colder.

Loved the night light in the bathroom, having to turn on a bright light during the night is bad, also love the coat hooks. The parking garage has no pedway to the hotel. You have to go down a dim alley and lots of stinky dirty garbage cans.

The room was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. I had to walk through a parking garage to a filthy elevator to get to street level. Then I walked through an alley filled with overflowing trash bins. In addition, I had to pay for parking that was supposedly on site

I made a mistake and reserved the wrong date by 1 day. I asked the receptionist if we could move the date since I had already paid for it. I was told no that was not possible but the only remedy was to purchase another night at a higher rate which I had to do and I lost the payment for the unused stay.

Only reason we booked this hotel is bc it says on booking that they have EV chargers. Also for parking the gate is broken and no one has to pay to get in. Someone tried to break into our car at 5am. Area is not good.

We booked our room for the wrong weekend. We attempted to change our reservation to the correct date. They would not accommodate our request and charged for the nights stay. We will still be coming to Columbia, SC, but will not stay at the Holiday Inn IHG now or ever again.

I went to check in at 3 my room wasn’t ready I had a conference to be at at 4 this was my main reason for this stay I needed some where to change and shower before the conference and didn’t receive a call back that my room was ready until 530ish which by then was 2 late…the staff wasn’t helpful I am extremely disappointed and pissed off and would love a full refund!

Quality hotel, convenient location. Parking has a few paid lots in the area and connected to the hotel. We were there on a weekend so we just parked on the street to save money because Colombia doesn't have parking meter enforcement on Saturday and Sundays. Good place would stay again.

It was wonderful. Took my daughter for college orientation. She stayed in the dorm while I had to find accommodations for myself. It was far enough for her to be independent but close enough if I was needed I could be there. Wonderful experience!

Located in beautiful downtown Columbia, SC, it was very convenient to walk several places. However staff needs to know something about public transit. No one could help us and one staff member didn’t even know the name of the public bus service. Also some of the bathroom toiletries had gone rancid and needed replacing. But overall, very satisfied.

The parking deck elevator was broken. The front desk wanted to act like they cared but gave us no help. They charged us 19.95 for a parking pass then it did not work. The room was the size of a closet. Do not stay in 610.

The walking area from the front entrance to the parking garage area is dirty and sketchy. Outside of that the hotel interior is great. The Marriott hotel next to this one has a better entry from the parking garage to its hotel. Also the Holiday in rooms are a bit smaller than usual. The city view windows are blocked by parking garages unless you are in floors 8-10 I'd say. We stayed on 6 and the view was blocked.

The hotel was great, the area was great. However, the garage truck picked up at 4:30AM, and for some reason cars love revving their engines in tge next door parkjng garage at all hours of the night. We called management, we xalled thw police. Apparently distrubing the peace isnt a crime there!

This hotel is in a great area for visiting University of South Carolina and used to be among our favorites. The current staff, however, is terrible. Not courteous, not knowledgeable, and clearly feel their jobs are a chore and that guests are an inconvenience. Such a bummer because we used to love the team at this property. Maybe just a lousy few days, but it was more than one team member over the three days of interaction.

Mostly the biggest issue was the parking garage. Very hard to navigate and get in and out if you are not in a car. But ultimately that is not the hotels problem.

Front desk employee very rude to me upon returning from going out. All other employees were pleasant. Disrespectful and mouthy. Too comfortable being unprofessional to customers. The opposite of hospitality more like hostility. Everything else was cool though.

I was surprised that a downtown Hotel didn’t offer airport transportation - not even a shuttle service they recommended other than Uber.

Comfortable, clean, and well located hotel with courteous staff. Bar is below average and parking garage situation is worse. Overall a good experience and would recommend with a disclaimer for the sketchy parking garage.
