The only thing I wasn’t used to were the amount of dogs present. Like I literally thought it was a dog convention going on in town until someone explained to me about accepting service dogs and the law not making you prove that that’s what they’re for. I guess that’s been my 1st time seeing so many. I was also wondering if housekeeping no longer comes in the 2nd day to get trash or bring new towels but overall my stay was ok.

Front desk staff was abrasive when we walked in about a half hour before check in time. The lobby area and restroom on the main level were dirty. Charges $20 for an unimpressive breakfast buffet.

My first experience staying here, I had issues with the room. But the staff was so helpful that I gave it a second chance. I’m glad that I did. I didn’t have any issues the second time around. And the staff was super friendly. Especially our front desk greeter (I think his name was Eric).

The bathroom sink was clogged, but we were tired and just chose to overlook it to get some sleep to get back on the road the next morning.

Good for the price if you just need a place to lay your head. Curtains are old so they aren’t blackout. Room was clean, staff was nice. AC was working hard but couldn’t get to the comfortable temp of 70 degrees, so woke up hot a couple times. The cheap price probably attracts a certain crowd so it was pretty rowdy in shared areas.

We came to visit South Carolina for the MLF All American tournament that my husband fished in. We originally had another hotel booked but we came up a few days early and decided to check out this hotel because they were always hosting part of the event. So we checked in and loved the location and the hotel it self. Front desk staff are so nice and helpful. Explained that we canceled our other hotel and made a 2nd reservation with them and asked if we could stay in the same room all week and they allowed us to so we wouldnt have to pack up again. The room we had was a King with jacuzzi tub and the room was large with a pull out couch as well. The bathroom was big and the tub was awesome being able to relax and soak after a long day of fishing. The hotel was very clean. The beds were so comfortable, rooms were dark with the curtains and nice and cold when sleeping. They had a breakfast every morning but we left too early in the mornings, it wasn't free but we didnt even get the chance to check it out so I cant comment on it. We used the pool, the pool had a lot of chlorine in it but understandable as its a hotel had the room nice and warm so while in the pool you were totally comfortable. The hotel is located very close to dining options, so close you can walk. Mall is 2 mins up the street and lots of shopping around. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we are in the area again!

The shower did not have a shower curtain so water ended up all over the floor. The lamp didn’t have a light switch. You had to either plug it in and unplug it OR screw the bulb in and out to turn the light on and off. We thought breakfast was included but is was $20 per person. Hilton is generally a hotel with a good reputation, that’s why we chose it. The property is clean, well maintained and staff was friendly.

Wifi was great. Room smelled like someone dropped a load and tried to cover the smell with cologne upon first entering. That eventually went away. Tub had rust around knobs so I took a bird bath, then showered at a friend's place. Bed covers smelled odd so I just slept in my pajamas. Wasn't the best sleep but it was only for 1 night. I won't be staying there again.

Property was a bit outdated. Elevators and halls could use some work. Room was clean, but definitely could’ve been more clean. Linens need a lot of work. Carpet was sticky if the room got humid, could definitely benefit from a shampoo. Very hard to prop up in bed with the pillows provided.

Look I’m a bit picky about my hotels. And this place was great. The staff were amazing. The room was excellent, and the pool was nice and warm. It’s in a really nice part of Columbia too. 10/10 would recommend, and if I come back, I’m staying again.

I booked this stay at the last minute because of a family emergency when I say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. The staff was awesome. The food was great and freshly cooked. The hotel room was so clean. The amenities was awesome. I was able to get a piece of mind and relax doing my stay. I'll recommend this hotel to all people that visit Columbia and it's looking for a great hotel that's clean safe and great for their family to stay at.

The rooms were very clean with all about and put together also the staff was very polite to me and my family and the breakfast bar looked it fabulous the only thing that I wasn't pleased about is that they did not have complimentary breakfast that you didn't have to pay for wasn't included in this day but other than that it was wonderful

We wanted a cup of coffee before we left to come home, but there wasn’t any as it had been taken up around 1;30. All of the hotels where we’ve stayed had coffee most of the day or all day! The hotel was was very clean and nice however. We’d stay there again.

Very outdated. Our room was not clean. Old French fries near the bed. Bathroom very unsanitary and only appeared to have been somewhat wiped down. The staff seemed very helpful in checking in and courteous but the cleanliness of the hotel was very poor.

I showed up to a very low staffed lobby and waited a while to check in. When I got to my room, the toilet would not flush due to the tank not filling. On duty maintenance could not fix it. When I got to the desk they were sold out so I couldn’t switch rooms and said they couldn’t call anyone else to fix it. So I was either stuck manually pulling the plug to flush every time or just waiting to see if they could figure something out. I had to recommend switching to a different hotel. And then never got a clear answer about a refund if I left. They left it by saying they’ll work with Expedia to try and get my money back. Overall horrible experience and bad communication/initiative from the staff. Not helpful at all!

7.00 for a bud light is a bit much. After my shower, I grabbed my towel and found a used bar of soap on it with short hairs. The pillows are to soft and I didn't sleep well because of that.

It was convenient to where we went for dinner and there was a whirlpool tub, but we ended up not being able to use it because we were on a time schedule and couldn't get into our room until after 6pm. The whole reason we booked there is because of the whirlpool tub. Unable to checkin on time, even after leaving and coming back, it was over 3 hours after checkin time before we could get to the room. The toiilet wouldn't flush properly, nobody at front desk when we tried to get help with the toilet, AC wouldn't cool the room and kept turning off regardless of what temp it was set for, room door lock was messed up - able to get in the room without a key at times but then other times unable to get in even with the key and the light turning green after scanning the key - the lock would latch and not unlatch.

This property is a little tired and rundown, could use a renovation. The staff is excellent! I visited during an extremely busy weekend for Columbia and the staff handled each guest with kindness. My sink was clogged and it was working properly by the time I returned from dinner. I believe the owner of this property should update the hotel to give the guests a better experience.

Front desk staff was fantastic but the kitchen not so great. Paid extra for breakfast and no bacon both days. Server told me that they do buffets on the weekend and they sold all their bacon, lol. They’re literally is a Walmart within walking distance and I’m pretty sure they have bacon there. I really needed my bacon!

Good location. While the front lobby was recently renovated and nice, the rest of the property was a bit outdated. For the price, I was expecting more. The bed sunk to the middle, the pool was tiny, and the breakfast was no better than a comfort inn breakfast but for $20/day. If this had been a $100/night hotel room I would have felt it was fine, but I was really disappointed in what we got for the price.

Everything was wonderful! It was a long day of travel, and we checked in late, but the staff was so kind and accommodating, the facility was fresh and inviting and the rooms were extremely comfy with generous space and amenities. Would absolutely recommend (we will be back later this week even, on our return trip).

Staff was friendly extremely friendly and inviting . Pool was unavailable first few hours. Opened up around 7pm and it was green/yellow. Room Had water bottles in the room, for $3. Beds were extremely uncomfortable to the point I wanted to check out the same night and just drive home. Lotion bottles that were complimentary was empty. Room remote was dirty/sticky. The location was nice and close to quite a bit of restaurants and also stars and strikes.

I wouldn’t bother paying for the breakfast, for $22 a head you get oily potatoes with a half a omlette, same menu everyday for the week days. The 4 days we stayed, none of the days house keeper came and we asked twice.

The Front Desk ladies were very accommodating. Rooms were dropping late, and those ladies held it together and made sure all guests were taken care. It was a hectic weekend and those ladies showed how to be TRUE LEADERs. I thank them for accommodating myself and my family.

The staff was super friendly. The room was clean as expected. My only issue was both elevators smelled like marijuana. Every time I got on an elevator it smelled like weed. I have a TBI and I am sensitive to certain smells.

We have stayed at this location for several years when attending football and basketball games at USC and have always been welcomed by the staff. Our rooms are always very clean and comfortable. On this one and only time this weekend there was an unpleasant odor in the hallway. We notified the desk and was told it was something that had occurred on all six floors. However it was not in our room and whatever it was, it was not present the next day. We continue to stay at this location for all night games. Staff are very helpful and always friendly. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

This hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly. I received texts asking me if I wanted anything! I stayed another night. Quiet compared to others where I could hear neighbors or street noises. The breakfast buffet on the weekends was COOKED scrambled eggs, grits, potatoes with peppers, bacon and sausage patties included drinks from coffee to juices and milk, cereals, several breads for toasting, all for only $19.99 in Feb 2026. I did not visit the gym or pool. Free parking and surrounded by some of the better restaurant chains, next door to Texas Roadhouse. I'll be back

The room size itself was adequate. However, the bed was uncomfortable, and we had difficulty getting restful sleep—especially on the second night. We also struggled to regulate the room temperature, which made sleeping comfortably challenging. Staff at front desk at check in first night: excellent.

This was one of the best motels that I have stayed in. That's saying a lot. I am retired and had to travel often for my job. I was concerned when I booked the room since the motel is very near an interstate highway. My room in the motel was one of the closest to the highway, and we never heard the traffic, nor did we hear anything from the rooms nearby. I would highly recommend this motel! Well-maintained, and the staff was great.

The portable cot was very uncomfortable. not enough parking. Never a spot when we came back to the hotel at night. otherwise everything else was great.

The elevator wasn't working when I got there and the staff member upgraded me because I wanted to be on the top floor, that was Awesome! In the evening when it was busy there wasn't enough staff to help everyone in a timely matter. I thought the staff member did an awesome job keeping his composure and took care of everyone's needs.

Facility clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the facility was what made the stay less than great. Coffee was ordered but was served cold w/o cream or sugar. There was a coffee stand behind a counter which we were not directed to. The waiter engaged in conversation with a friend for several minutes while we waited to order and overall was slow to serve us.

We found trash in our room left from the previous inhabitants. Dirty fast food cups and straws, clothing tags, and even a wet pool toy were under the bed and in the corner of the room. Just cleaned it ourselves as we were only staying 1 night.

The Customer Service of the Front Desk I want to say her name is Courtney she was great. She check me in and gave me Excellent Service. Not only her but the Housekeeper on Duty I don’t know his name but I had an issue he was up there Within minutes

When I arrived the entire building reeked of weed, though I will note the individual rooms did not smell like that. Once given our key we proceeded to our room, the door wouldn’t open. When I went back to the desk they seemed annoyed at the prospect of finding a solution. They had a night manager come up quickly to try and open our room, he couldn’t. He left to find another key, upon his return he did open our door but informed us that our keys wouldn't work during our stay and to not leave our room so we wouldn’t be locked out. That is not a solution. To end the night when we finally entered our room it was to a room not even cleaned. There was hair on the sheets, a BOOGER on one of the pillow cases, and hair in the shower. I have never stayed at such a place before, and I will never be back.

Very clean hotel, staff were all very friendly, the kids enjoyed the pool, there’s a nice sitting area outside to relax and enjoy the amazing weather. My only complaint is that there is an up charge for everything, Breakfast is 20$ per person, there were 2 bottles of water in the room each with a 3$ price tag and late checkout is 53$ starting and 12 noon. Very close to mall and lots of restaurants . Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Margaret, the bartender was pleasant and professional, and just fun to be around. Courtney J behind the desk had a great attitude, even when she was busy. We had to switch rooms because our keys didn’t work and she made everything smooth. She also granted us a late checkout at 1 o’clock for free, which was wonderful because we were waiting for our car to be repaired as we were passing through. The room was very clean, the full breakfast was worth it in my opinion bc everything was hot and delicious with very good options. I would highly recommend a stay here.

1. no one came to clean the room or give us towels/toilet paper for a 3 night stay. we ran out of toilet paper on the last night since the rolls that were already supplied were half used. 2. half the lights in the room didn’t work. the primary ceiling light was broken and flickered when you turn it on. some lamps in the room were broken. 3. the sheets and pillows had hair from other peoples bodies. i’m not sure they were truly cleaned before our stay.

Lots of people traveling with pets. Rooms in great shape. The kids loved the pool and lots of places to eat nearby.

Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean. Shower was running slow and the fridge did not cool well for our hummus and guac and drinks but overall 👍

Staff was very attentive when the heater didn't work. They were unable to fix it but they switched my room right away and did not hassle me at all.

However, I had booked a room with a jetted tub. The tub was not clean; black hairs attached to two different jets, and questionable soap scum when the jets were running. That made me feel queasy. The shower; on the other hand, was very nice, The shower head was adjustable and the temperature was nice. When our room was cleaned during our visit, some surfaces were not wiped down. I noted they were sticky when I opened a case on top. Columbia does not have a big selection of nice hotels; and this is the best so far. We will opt out of the jetted tub next visit. Hopefully staff will clean the room a bit better, but overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to back.

The handicap-access shower was a problem. Very low water pressure so bathing took forever. Rickety shower bench. The shampoo and soap couldn't be reached from the shower head/bench area. Not very safe for my family member with limitations. Overall average stay. We actuality checked out a night early.

This property and their staff were lovely!

The bedspread was white with black fuzz on it, along with a small spot. The room was worn, but that would be okay if it were clean. One of our dogs crawled under the bed. She has never done this and we travel a lot. We discovered she was finding items under the bed—chewed gum wrapped in paper, sticky candy and old tissues.

We all love our time staying in this hotel. We all love that it has an indoor pool. The gym is clean and well maintained as well. A great deal for quick trip to the city.

On initial check in at 330 our room was not available. Waited 20 min then had to ask. In my opinion it does not live up to Hilton standards. Room smelled like urine. No soap in the shower. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No silverware in room. The TV was leaving in channels. I will say that overall the staff was mostly friendly.

I paid for a room with a jet tub or whirlpool, and the jets were not leveled properly as the water sprayed everywhere when it was turned on. I was disappointed to see that my tub was not as clean as I would have expected (mold/mildewed grout). I was only there for one night, so I cleaned it myself and went to sleep. The bed slept very comfortably. I didn't eat breakfast or utilize the bar, but my stay was very comfortable otherwise!

After having a terrible stay locally this was my alternate Hotel the same evening. It was amazing and extremely nice. The only thing that confused me was the hotel had thermostats on the wall to control the air conditioning and I'd never seen that in a hotel room. My only critique would be no included breakfast when they do have facilities downstairs for that.

The pool had a ton of sand in it and not heated as advertised, there is not a hot tub (which was also advertised), and I don't love that the breakfast buffet is an additional charge (and expensive).

We did not purchase breakfast as we had events the entire time we were there but it was a nice presentation looked like there were many options.

Early check in needs to be an option! We arrived an hour before checking in hopes to check in and get dressed for a wedding that started at 4pm. We weee told that no rooms were ready. Miraculous at 3pm on the dot the room was ready. We barely made it to the wedding on time.

Loved the location - plenty of dining options nearby, but it was still quiet. Everyone on staff was lovely, and the hotel and room were very clean. The only thing I wish they had was on-site EV charging, but that is a minor thing since there is lots of EV charging options nearby.

My stay was amazing, it just wasn’t long enough. This was a business trip. Anytime I’m in Columbia for business or training the Hilton Gardens is it for me. I’m always pleased with the cleanliness, the quality and the comfort.

I am always pleased with the service and the cleanliness of the room when I stay there that is about the only hotel I will stay currently in the Columbia South Carolina area.. I also love the fact that they have an indoor pool just in case the weather is implement you still can get in the pool.

When I first walked in, I told my husband it smells musty. Everywhere was the same. The bathroom did not have a fan so the room smelled musty as well. Nice property except for that. But if you have to smell that constantly - for me a deal breaker. The pool picture is deceiving. Our pool was bigger than theirs. It was very small.

Everything was great, except there was no hand soap in our bathroom, the shampoo, conditioner, and body was was almost out and our toilet stopped working. Other than that, the front desk staff was very pleasant and quick to check in.

The room was clean. The mattress was old and needed to be replaced. The showerhead was old and slow. The ac unit was very noisy. I expected a better experience with Hilton, but this place was just average.

This was a tough one. Thought we got a good deal on a Hilton property. Instead, got to the room and the lock to the door was busted and had to lug all our stuff back down to the front desk. Second, our non-smoking hall was ripe w/ a weed smell equal to a frat house. Third, no continental breakfast, thought this was a standard at Hiltons. Lastly and the worst! The AC unit would make a horrible grinding noise ever so often. However, tired from the trip and already having to lug our stuff back to the front desk once, decided to endure it rather then repack and relocate. Wellll, that was a mistake, got no sleep. All of those things in addition to liquids on the floor of the elevator, smashed/broken elevator buttons, dirty and outdated rooms…let’s just say this wasn’t great.

The rooms are clean and even smell good! The beds are comfortable. The appliances work (refrigerator, microwave). The AC kept us cool on a hot July night. One small thing that could have been better in the room was the water pressure in the shower - when turned to the warm side, it diminished to a trickle. Outside of the room, the facility is also well-maintained. There's a little shop right next to the front desk that sells food items (mostly snacks and drinks). A typical breakfast is available in the morning. I didn't use the gym, so I can't comment on that, but there was enough space in my room to do yoga. A suggestion for improvement outside of the rooms would be to align the elevators. The floor of the elevator wasn't quite level with the hallway floor, making it a little difficult to maneuver the luggage trolley. Overall, an excellent place to stay for a very reasonable cost. We appreciated a nice place to rest after many hours on the road.

The coffee maker did work. Had to have room keys reprogrammed every day. Staff was just okay, seemed uncaring at times. Did not receive any paper confirmation that my incidental charge to my credit card was not given at check out .

Facility was clean & they were working on painting the exterior. The 2nd floor was pretty hot & humid in the hallways, but our room stayed nice & cool. Great place for us to stay on the go & we are pleased.
