    This hotel is very close to Fort Jackson. Danyel was very helpful and kind at check in. Hot and cold breakfast available. Great to place to visit. Plenty of places to eat-out nearby.

    We had traveled hours on the road just to get there and the lady say that they didn’t take certain debit cards so then we tried to pay cash. They didn’t take cash. We couldn’t load the money up on the card that they would take because it was late at night. The lady wouldn’t work with us. I don’t know her name, but I do know she is a black lady heavyset with blonde hair then she started being rude catching an attitude. She canceled our room and told us to go somewhere else horrible experience. I will never ever book there, and I will never ever mention them to nobody else. I’ve never heard of a hotel only take certain debit card or credit card payment payments even though we had the money we couldn’t use our cars to pay for the room and the cars they would take. We had to load the money up onto those particular cards, but we couldn’t because it was so late at night. This was a horrible experience coming off of the road driving all night just to get turned around and say you can’t stay here.

    The staff was friendly. We booked three rooms and checked in. It looked clean. Air was a bit musty smelling but we left the door open and turned on the AC and that took care of it.     The location was convenient We booked a suite and they moved us and downgraded us to a small hotel room at Wyndham. We were told it was first come first serve even though I called to confirm a suite. The room smelled, was not clean. It was graduation weekend so there wasn’t nothing else available

    The main lobby was beautiful and got our hopes up but rooms were a total disappointment. Switched rooms three times. They gave us the wrong room at first, then second room was disgusting, shit smeared on the open toilet paper roll in bathroom, door to the outside did not fully close, hair in bathtub and sink, sink did not drain, bathroom tub did not have a drain cover or plug to take a bath, black stain on bed comforter… They upgraded us to a King Suite which was a lot cleaner but smelled of mold so bad it made us sick and stuffy. Bugs and trash in hallways on the floor.

    When we arrived we found out our reservation was no longer available. It was for a ADA room that we needed. Because it was late and we'd been on the road all day, we agreed to a room change. The room was on the 4th floor and you had to go through the lobby, elevator to 4th floor, outside to get to the room. Had difficulty opening the door because the carpeting is so high. The room appeared OK, except for the loose toilet seat. I had on white socks and by the time I reached the back of the room my socks were black on the bottom. All in all it felt as if we were downgraded and banished to the back of the building that overlooked the trash area. I will not be going back there.

    Staff was friendly and helpful. The back entrance stairway (the Contractor’s Stairway) to our hotel room was disgusting! Coffee cups, litter and empty boxes on the hallway floor and staircase. It was disgusting! I had hoped that it would be cleaned up when housekeeping cleaned the hotel rooms. It was so gross and I was embarrassed when we took our son (who is in the Army) to our hotel room to visit and the stairway was still dirty after housekeeping cleaned the rooms. Our hotel floor and our couch was stained and dirty. We rented the large suite for the extra seating and room and it was not clean when we entered. I had to wipe off the couch and countertops to try and make it sanitary. Some outlets have broken or no plastic covers on them at all. Believe me we would have gone somewhere else if there was availability but with the Army Graduations going on, the local hotels were booked up. This was our second stay at this hotel and it was definitely the most disappointing. I did let the front desk know about the situation and they compensated us for inconvenience.

    Was a last minute and price was reasonable. We only stayed the night so we didn't really spend too much time. We did look around the hotel and our only thing was that the outdoor tables near the pool could have been cleaned and area tidy. Also cob webs in the room could have been cleared. Staff was nice and everything else seemed pretty clean. Breakfast was ok but no fruit available. Would recommend. Also make sure you have your key at all times because some rooms you have to go through doors to outside even on upper floors and need key to get back in the building.

    We were impressed with the lobby when we walked in, and the gal at check-in was WONDERFUL (we checked in the evening of 4/11/26). We were a little surprised that our room had an exterior entrance, but were too tired to request a different room since we would only be there one night. After a long day at the Masters tournament, we were both looking forward to a shower before an early bedtime. There were no bath towels in the bathroom, so I headed back to the front desk - again - the gal was sweet (and FAST!) about getting me some towels. The bathroom was "interesting" - no vanity or shelves, just a sink on the wall, and no shower curtain! We both showered carefully so as not to flood the bathroom, and had no choice but to store our toiletry bags on the floor. We turned in for the night (10pm) and suddenly heard kids screaming and running around, adults talking loudly and music from a car in the parking lot below. After 10 minutes of this noise, I called the front desk and was told the gal would address the issue (AGAIN - fast, effective service - THANK YOU!!). I chose not to shower in the morning because I feared that washing my hair would result in a flooded bathroom. The

    As soon as we checked in the experience was horrible! The night shift person was short tempered and rude. We got to our room and it wasn’t clean, dirt and hair all over furniture, spots all over carpet, ceiling and tub peeling, refrigerator and microwave unclean. We weren’t looking for perfection but we felt unsafe staying. We contacted Expedia since our first encounter with the staff was unpleasant but were also asked to speak with the front desk manager which we did. She was rude once again so we decided not to stay. We were told she would check us out which she didn’t and that the manager would be notified. We contacted them back again this morning, which they were a lot more pleasant but we can’t get management until tomorrow

    The furniture was mismatched, i had to switch rooms because the first room was dirty, they had entirely too much furniture in the rooms for comfort. And some rooms are outside while some are inside and the ones outside are in need of a little more attention. And i paid $196 dollars for one night in a hotel that seemed more like a motel with lipstick on.

    I love how you can do pre-check in before arriving so all you have to do is pick up your key when you get there. There were plenty towels and face cloths in the room as well as being very clean! The elevators were a little confusing but I figured it out quickly

    Air conditioner in room made a dripping noise all night. Exposed piping in the room, carpet dirty. Baseboards not even along all of the walls. I asked to move rooms on the next day and was moved to an “upgrade” room but the room still was less than expected. Bathtub stained needs an acid wash, couch in room was filthy gross. Area is not safe, a lot of people roaming the parking lot at all hours of the night. I would not recommend staying here.

    I liked the entrance and the lounge for breakfast. I don’t like the fact that some of the hotel rooms were outside. The remodeling could’ve been a lot better and if the rooms aren’t used in a while, they should be double checked to make sure it’s very clean.

Then received a email that i was missed formed & that they couldn't reached the hotel, so my request was denied. This was very disappointing

    The bathroom maintenance was poor. The hooks for hanging towels fell off the wall,because they were stick on on a paper like wall covering. The main door had large gaps where cold air keep room frigid. Would not book this hotel again.

    The room I got I could tell it was renovated. It was very clean which was a plus. The shower water would not get hot, so my husband and I had to shower in cold water. When arriving to the hotel I did not know they do a 100 deposit and if you’re from South Carolina you had to do a $150 deposit. I believe they should state that on their website and also state they do not use certain cards as a payment. I paid for the room before arrival. The only thing I had to pay for was the deposit which I wasn’t aware of a deposit. I had my cashapp card and tried to put my deposit on that card and they told me I couldn’t use it. Luckily I had my other credit cards with me. What if that’s the only card someone uses? They wouldn’t be able to stay is crazy to me.

    Our room was very clean, the staff was very courteous, friendly. The only problem was the heat in the room didn't work, called the front desk the guy came, said it would take a while for it to get hot,still later in the night no heat let them know next morning, came back we were upgraded for the problem. Breakfast was good each morning. I would recommend this hotel. The lobby was very nice and smelled really good.

    I never got to stay. You are not told about the $100 . I paid the price for my room she took the money then said about the extra $100 that won't be refunded for 5 business days. I financially could do that and I explained I was there for a funeral could we not charge the $100 ? I was saying there less than 24 hrs and was paying over $100 to stay there. The front desk girl wasn't very pleasant and very dry. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. It looks nothing like the pictures they showing and the surrounding are didn't look safe.

    The pull out chair bed. The chair was dirty with old stains on it, the mattress was so thin you felt the spring on the mattress, which was really awful to sleep on. I cut my trip short and left. The bathtub was painted over literally painted that you can see the paint and the dirt underneath the paint. That’s how uncomfortable it was would not recommend at all.

    The staff was great and understanding. However, the bathroom in our room needed upgrades as the toilet set was fairly worn and the paint of the tub was peeling off the inside near the drain in big pieces. It was difficult to stand without getting pieces of paint on your feet. Near the checkin there were dead bugs on the floor but they were dead. Also a bit disappointed is the time for breakfast is the same on weekends, which is 6-9am. Makes it difficult for late arrival.

    The room was ok. We had a suite, dishes had so much dust on them, we would've had to wash all of them before use. TV remotes did not work for either TV and desk clerk would not come to check out the issue. Elevators smelled like kerosene, it was disgusting. Continental breakfast was a joke. Only had one person to keep up with refilling items and coffee. Had to ask at least 5 times, each by other patrons to get a new urn of coffee.

    I checked into this property at 5pm on 8/15/25 and upon entering my room, there was a terrible odor that was so bad we had to request a room change. The room change was provided and the second room seemed ok at first glance. However, within five minutes of sitting against the headboard with my laptop a BUG was crawling down my neck! I then started to look around and noticed there was peeling ceiling paint, peeling and moldy bathtub and this place was really gross. By 6pm I had decided that we could not stay here and paid for another room elsewhere. I went to the front desk and told the person there I was checking out because of this situation. I had also reached out to them via messaging on expedia three times with ZERO response before checking out. I was there one hour - it is DISGUSTING and the area is run down and unsafe. Had they provided a refund of ANY sort at least I would have been able to say the customer service was good but they also refused that. Oh - and The Bathroom in the lobby looks like the dirtiest outdoor gas station bathroom you've ever been too. Pay the extra $10 a night and go somewhere without the critters crawling on your body.

    I like the property, I was there for three days and housekeeping didnt make the beds ,they only take out the garbage, and towels. Didnt replace the empty shampoo and,bodywash. When you come back out from your day, you want your room to look clean and inviting. That wasn't the case.

    The main reason for booking this hotel was that their website shows a restaurant and bar. They even gave a voucher for a free appetizer at check in. Guess what...... no restaurant or bar.     The hotel is nice and well-maintained. The rooms have outside access, which I wasn't expecting. I guess I missed that detail. We booked the only remaining king room, which happened to be an accessible room. I would never book this room again because of issues with the bathroom design. First, the shower has no curtain or other barrier to control water spray. We tried hard to be mindful of this, but water goes ALL OVER. It even floods the floor. There are NO towel hooks or racks. You can't even lay a towel on the toilet lid, because it doesn't have one. We tried putting it on the sink, but it got wet from the shower. The bathroom is huge, and you could hang a towel on one of the handicap bars near the toilet, but you're going to have to walk a good distance while wet..and the wet floor is dangerous. And there's no counter in the bathroom. NONE. We had to sit our toiletry bag in the floor and move it before showering or it would get wet. Lots of design improvements needed in that bathroom. We'd stay here again, but never in an accessible room. Breakfast was very nice, and service was excellent. Not sure why we didn't have housekeeping service, but I've previously heard that Expedia customers are opted out. I guess if you want service, you'd better request it at check-in.

    We stayed here for a fort Jackson Graduation. We got checked in and they were nice. We went into our room and it was very dirty. There was dirt and hair in the tub. The toilet was dirty. The floor had not been mopped or vacuumed. There were other peoples hair on the bathroom counter and in the beds. They also had some kind of bugs in the bathroom. We went to the front desk to let them know and they said if we left for a little bit they would have someone come lean it. They also said the room was not supposed to be rented until checked. We said okay that’s great we’ll go do some shopping. We waited an hour then came back and they had not cleaned the room at all. The beds we not comfortable at all. I don’t recommend staying here unless you want to sleep in someone’s else’s dirt or clean the room yourself.

    For this being a extended stay where you can cook, there was no table or chair in the room to sit at also, there was no shower curtain so the floor would get soaked and the hot water was luke warm at best.

    Originally assigned a room on the ground floor and within a few minutes in the room, found a live cockroach on the air conditioning vent. I requested to change rooms and though the employee was nice and accommodating despite “being full”, he never really apologized for the inconvenience. We got a new room on the 3rd level, and immediately noticed how dirty the floor was. It felt like tracks of dried mud/cement, so we left our shoes on in the room. When I turned down the sheets on one of the beds, I found a live small bug (looked like a gnat or fruit fly?) between the fitted and flat sheet, and a hair on the pillow. Thoroughly grossed out and cranky leading into our vacation. Definitely will not be staying here on our way to/from Florida ever again.

    The whole experience was terrible. We had water pouring out of our vent in the bathroom. The molding was pealing off the walls. The breakfast was horrible. I will never stay at this hotel chain again

    The floors looked like they were never mopped clean. They were swept but not often. The floors were filthy most of the time we were there. The elevators were filthy. The doors were never wiped down. The carpets in lobby were stained. The coffee maker didn’t work half the time because the filter was full. The light switch cover above our sink was not screwed into to wall. The toilet rocked horribly. The AC unit leaked water into our room to where the carpet was wet the entire time we were there. I did alert the front desk; not sure they even checked it out. We will not stay here or recommend this place to anyone.

    The property has new renovation to overlap an old motel. The rooms are barely clean. Our room had saw dust on the floor. Microwave was dirty looked like someone spilled shaghetti sauce inside it. None of the sockets inside the sitting area worked other than the tv socket. Furniture and carpet has huge spills on it. Room smelled horrible. Entering the room the door seems to be jammed you have to force open using your body exiting and entering. Limited parking.

    The worker finally came to try a check us into our room. After driving several hours, my “room” that had fully been paid for & having confirmation numbers for, happened to be given away to someone else. & the hotel was “full”. So here I am at midnight losing money on a room that I had already fully paid for not being available for me & my family to stay at. Honestly pretty shiity experience telling my family we have no place to sleep that night because they failed to have a room that we already reserved was “given away” & the worker being absolutely un helpful, should have just let him get his nap in!

    The bed was clean and comfortable which is always what Im hoping for. And when we needed towels the service was prompt and friendly. I really didnt enjoy having to walk outside around to the back "alley-like" parking lot to access the door to my room which didn't have a latch lock. It was fairly difficult to fall asleep because I just didn't feel safe in addition to the noise. There was so much noise all night long for both the nights we stayed there. Guys standing outside my door face-timing at 2:30am, dogs howling at 3am, doors slamming and lots of yelling and stomping all night, pretty intense marijuana smell ect. Inside the room, it was clean but the bathroom had no counterspace or towel racks so getting ready was fairly cumbersome. The shower had to shower curtain or rod and the water never actually got hot for the four times I tried to shower over two days. There was an iron but no ironing board and finally, there was an intense dripping coming from the vent in the room that lasted the duration of our stay. So all that being said, the service was excellent. The atmosphere and condition of the space was just lacking a lot based on the price.

    The property rooms needed updated-carpets were fraying /card key didn’t operate well for door -and then left us stranded to get back in the facility. You check in inside -take elevator and our room was outside. To get back in to the hotel your key card has to work. There was some trash around. Just felt unkept. Had to wait in a huge line to check in-only one person at front desk at 9:00 pm. Would not stay there again.

    My stay was nice. I was surprised by the exterior entrance to the rooms but all and all if a need arises, I would stay there again. I was also surprised that the location required all Columbia residents to pay a $250 deposit but when I informed the front desk that by booking with Hotels.com it only required a $100 deposit and they were fine with that. The facility and rooms were very nice and clean and the staff were friendly. Again I would stay there again.

    Room 409I was disappointed with my stay at this Hathorne extended stay motel but it was too late to cancel because I would have lost a considerable amount of money. I had reserved two rooms. The one we were staying in had something causing it to be really hard to push or pull the door open or shut. It got progressively worse as well. When we first got there I noticed the vent opening on the air conditioner unit appeared to be covered with mildew in each vent opening. I had 2 rooms so I just cleaned them both. The floors/carpeted areas weren't very clean either. I realize that lots of people stay at this hotel, so its showing some wear but I felt it was misrepresented in photos on the website. Room 407 The biggest issue with this room was even though its "smoke free rooms" The room next to us would sit in their doorway and the smoke from the cigarettes would come in thru the door due to the large gaps between the door and the door frames. The front desk people I came in contact with (especially Dany)were helpful and pleasant.

    My room in itself was great and clean. However they must still be renovating because for example we didn’t have good water pressure in our shower and plumbing needed fixing. Also on our side of the building we can tell that there were a lot of repairs going on and construction which made that side not the best to be walking in and out of

    In spite of the fact that expedia showed us that there was a room available and that it was ready to be reserved, we paid for the hotel when we showed up. They told us that all reservations had to be cancelled because there was no power in the hotel. we $150 since we did not stay at the hotel. We went there from Augusta and our house was damaged by Hurricane. We lost power, and everything was terrible. I will give a zero rating since it is like stealing our money

    The property looks like it's newly renovated and the rooms looked great. The lobby area looked good and it was very convenient to Fort Jackson both Gare 2 and 4. The staff wasn't bad either they were very helpful. However, there are areas for significant improvement. It's one thing for a place to look good but it's not properly maintained regarding cleanliness. Things like the lobby's bathroom and the hallways needs further upkeep. They could choose Turkey sausage or patties for breakfast instead of pork. It wasn't an awful experience but they need to look into those things

    The property had 3 different types of rooms. Long terms rentals on the back side. which had bullet holes and tape on the windows. Extended rentals which did not have the proper amenities nor were they cleaned properly. Then you have regular room rentals. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

    Expedia doesn’t permit an honest assessment of a property if it’s not favorable. So in an attempt to get the truth about a recent stay everything that I say from this point forward is the OPPOSITE of what we experienced. My wife and I felt very safe in our room due to the lack of criminal activity nearby. The room was clean and well appointed which led to a calming night of sleep. Thankfully the reviews and pictures online of the Wyndham Garden Inn reflected the property completely and that enabled me to feel like Expedia and the hotel were doing a great service to their future customers.

    The staff was very friendly, specially the lady that helps us checking in. It had printed out maps for the Fort Jackson graduation and the restaurants nearby.. the overall service and experience was awesome. We definitely not only recommend it but we will staying again
