The only negative i could possibly write about was renovation work being done; I could tell it was happening, but workers or noise never bothered me, and was only done during daylight.

Remodeling is taking place so there is a lot of containers in the parking lot. The room was nice, but the sink faucet had a leak and the toilet paper dispenser was held on by silicone and would fall out of the wall when toilet paper was pulled. The breakfast was better than I expected. Hopefully, once the remodeling is done, my complaints will be resolved.

Eric and Deric (spelling?), were absolutely phenomenal! Their customer service was the best customer service I have ever experienced. The bed was also the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in at a hotel. Thank you for making a hectic trip better!

The breakfast was exceptionally poor. Hotel is old and run-down. No carpet in the rooms, Motel 6 vibes.

I didn’t like how there was an issue on our hall with the smell and requested a new room; instead of giving us a key; the staff made us pack our room bring everything down stairs then gave us a key to a new room.i felt this was over the top when we could have been just given a new key instead of bringing all our things downstairs then go back to our new room.

Room clean. The heating and cooling system was little loud.

The Room had bed bugs, I took a photo, and I found old Q-Tips behind the bed, old sheets with old blood stains on them after inspections and a nest of bed bugs that I also took photos of. Other than that the staff was friendly or I didn’t really speak to them at all. Breakfast was great in the morning though.

Room was nice but the front desk did not let us know that room service would not be servicing our room while we were there. Our key card to our room stopped working twice and we had to get new ones. Place was clean and breakfast was good.

The room was missing an ottoman as advertised.I have back problems and have to sleep in a chair with my feet elevated.The ottoman was the main reason that I booked the room so my nights sleep was very uncomfortable.In addition, the desk clerk was not very hospitable; she suggested a refund rather than try to find an ottoman in an unoccupied room.I will never choose Hampton Inn again!I would rather pay double for better accommodations and service elsewhere!

Good hotel for price and locationn

I ate the fluffy hot biscuit with sausage. It was delicious! Fresh fruit. Great selection of breakfast items. Blueberry muffins were awesome.

My husband and I stayed two nights and the only complaint I can share is that the lounge chairs by the pool were not the most comfortable for laying out on. But honestly who cares? Everything else was perfect! The free breakfast included hot options such as waffles, sausage and eggs. Or you had the option of grab-n-go with cereals, yogurt, muffins and fresh fruit. The coffee was hot and delicious! We will ABSOLUTELY be returning again soon and cannot wait for another visit!!

The bed was awful! I was put in a handicap room so everthi ng was fine but they didnt seem to be that busy so I could have had a nicer room. Also the bottom window was cracked so condensation was between the panes and you couldnt see out! Very ugly!

This hotel has been around for a well, but every time that we visit Columbia, we book a stay at this particular hotel (Hamton Inn Columbia I-20- Clemson Rd. Very clean room and the staff was professional. Great customer service. Oh, before I forget, their continental breakfast is a winner also.

Convenient location for shopping & dining.

As a Hilton Honors member, I usually receive unsolicited two complimentary bottles of water. The checkin reception informed me that my Hilton Honors ranking did not qualify me to receive a bottle of water. I ended up purchasing two bottle of waters for six dollars. First time as member I was refused bottles of water probably value at less than 50 cents on a wholesale basis. For a moment, I seriously considered dropping out the Hilton Honors membership, but remembered that all of my prior encounters were very positive and maybe this particular receptionist was having a bad day. She made point of emphasizing that I did not qualify for a bottle water although as a guest i have spent thousand of dollars staying at Hilton hotels.

Stay was for my son and they said it was fine. Had an issue at check in... Think they got there late and I was told to call Expedia for a refund for one day...

overall everything was excellent, left the “do not disturb” sign on during the whole stay and it was respected. Booked through Expedia so the price was wasn’t exact when paying upfront and personally had to contact virtual agent to speak with to get the difference refunded, also $50 for deposit wasn’t mentioned before until the day of so it was a surprise but it all worked out!!

This property was nasty and full of mold! The staff were rude and refused to deal with a severe black mold issue in our room. When this issue was brought to the staffs attention we were told that there was no mold even though we had pictures! We were switched to another room that had a similar problem. At check out I asked to be refunded back a night stay but was told I needed to speak with my 3rd party booker. Staff still said that there was no mold. I have been met with nothing but attitude and disrespect from this particular property and it's sad when grown people will lie to try and prove a point when there is clear proof of the mold and filth. My 3rd party booker said I had to contact the hotel. At this point I want a full refund and I want to put this all behind me. Word of mouth goes a long way so here it is! I will not recommend this property even if it was for free!

Very friendly staff and clean rooms

The hotel room had a terrible odor. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. We asked the front desk attendant to come into our room and smell the odor. Her resolution, after agreeing there was a bad odor, was to leave a note for the cleaning staff to spend “a little extra time” on this room and that she would “rummage up” a bottle of Lysol. When she came back with the Lysol it barely had enough in it to make one sweep of the room when tilted the bottle to the side. We had booked this hotel 2 more times for future football games. Needless to say, those stays have been cancelled.

Was definitely better than the last place I stayed in Columbia. Still for the cost of the room I thought it would have been a little nicer and ac wasn’t working properly. Note on the wall of the room.

The fact that I was told both rooms would be ready for check in at 3pm and one room wasn't available until 45 minutes later.

Very nice staff and quick check-in. Room was clean but plain. Bathroom was big, but shower doors were kind of wonky.

Nice Hampton, but aging a bit. Beds were comfy, rooms clean. The only issue was a leaking toilet, which after we notified the front desk about, were moved to another room. Just a little bit of a hassle.

The staff were welcoming and great. The room was nice and clean. I liked that I had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I like it because it allows pets. I did not have my two small dogs with me on this trip but will consider bringing them with me on my next trip.

It was ok. It didnt have anything that really stood out but it didnt have anything that i could complain about. I would stay there again.

It was quiet and close to where I needed to be. I didn’t like that I had no pillow to sleep on because your facility had only feather pillows, which I am allergic. Cotton pillows should be an option.

Overall the hotel and room were clean and comfortable. However the listing said the tv was 40 inch when in fact all are 42 inches (I asked to see if it was just our room with the smaller tv)

The hotel was convenient for our trip to Congaree National Park. We enjoyed a satisfying breakfast before leaving. I used the gym in the evening and found it clean and okay for what I needed.

The desk clerk (Jennifer)was excellent and suggested a wonderful restaurant for dinner!!

Whenever im in the area, i always stay at this hotel. Staff is so friendly, the breakfast is always good and the coffee is always fresh.

There was a lot of mold in the bathtub. That whole tub needs to be replaced. It’s beyond just cleaning

This is somewhat older Hampton. Registration great, room good, cleanliness good (although there were a couple of hairs in my wash cloth and a few in the shower). My main problem was with Expedia. I booked a 2 bed queen room and they sent hotel request for King room. Pooh to Expedia.

The room was very clean and very neat. We appreciate it. The floors not having carpet. However, the AC unit in the room was very loud. It did keep me awake oft and on throughout the night.

Donna and the lady at the front desk on Saturday 7/15 /23 afternoon was absolutely superb, friendly, knowledgeable, and greeted me so warmly it felt like home! Marvelous customer service was displayed by these two ladies!
