The ceiling was moldy. The sheets and the pillow cases were dirty. Not a place to stay. Condom wrappers on the grass. Run down motel.
- 4/5
The cleanliness was a little lackluster, but it was enough for a short stay. There are more than enough parking spaces. The staff were very nice and welcoming.
- 5/5
Nice place,
- 5/5
Parked right in front of the room. The staff was friendly. The location was great.
- 1/5

Very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful!!!! Rooms were clean to perfection!

The young lady at the check in was having trouble with her computer and the pile of papers etc behind her was not inviting. The room was fairly clean but the sheets in one room appeared dirty and one in our room was torn. There was coffee in the morning but that was it. The shower was nice but no water pressure. Never saw another staff member.

My door didn’t even completely close. I felt unsafe. The staff never picked up the phone. The building is basically falling apart.

I left within 15 minutes of checking in. This place is very unsafe for being right outside of the military base. Drive a few more exits to go elsewhere.
- 3/5
Nice for the price.

It was ten minutes from the Job site for me .Yet, being 6'6 tall the mattress thin an had me at work back hurting...Please know you DO NOT have room service so you have to ask for fresh towels and bed sheets...overall great for on the road in an out hotel.

- 3/5
Not too bad, but I think I had less information of how it was before going. I think they can do better

Let’s start with the fact that’s they charged my account before I even checked in. Second, the stairs are a safety hazard. They are broken and slanted downward making it easy to fall. Third the TUBS… they are hard to get in because they are higher off the ground and slanted downward and slippery… making it nearly impossible to get in. I had to buy a mat so I had grip. Fourth, I had room 205 non smoking and 207 non smoking… 206 and 208 are smoking rooms allowing smoke to come into both of my rooms. Very unhappy with the stay. Prior to booking when looking online, they offered continental breakfast, when I arrived, they no longer offered it.
- 2/5
Well, we showed up and thought OK this might be ok, got up the next morning 730ish to go get continental breakfast only to find the door locked and NO BREAKFAST there. So my wife bitched and the next morning it was open but only coffee. Just to be clear our trip was NOT all about breakfast, BUT we did pick the place due to it and location, NEVER again!
- 5/5
Was ok
- 3/5
No Breakfast
- 1/5
This is a crack hotel. People living there with children. Gaps in door jambs. No weather stripping. Cigarette burns in bed spreads and linens. Matresses like cardboard boxes. Horrible
- 2/5
Pretty crappy conditions. It’s a little insane that it costs $140 for a night to stay in a room that should cost $40
- 4/5
clean
- 1/5
But the bathroom and bathtub was extremely dangerous. I’ve never been to a hotel where the bathtub was almost 3 feet from the floor you had to climb in. I slipped getting in and hurt myself getting out have black and blues all over my knee, and my husband almost fell in the bathtub as well when I try to complain in the morning no one was there at the reception . Very horrible and scary experience. I would like to send photos of my bruise.
- 2/5
I saw a drug deal or two in the parking lot
- 1/5
The room was dirty the bathtub was very dangerous easy to slip and fall
- 3/5
For a non smoking room.. it’s all we could smell. Even the bedding had a strong smoke . Got the rest that was needed, showered and left
- 1/5
Loud refrigerator Door did not close or seal properly Does not include breakfast No room service despite requesting
- 1/5
Didn’t stay found bed bugs
- 2/5
We arrived to find a couple of other frustrated guests that had apparently been there for an hour calling the front desk, they left in frustration. Someone finally appeared while we were about to leave. The rooms were motel style open to the outside, and daylight was clearly visible around the door. The bathtub was dirty. We stayed to sleep one night and left early the next morning. The included breakfast I cannot comment on but it certainly did not look promising.
- 2/5
Door would not latch all the way , cold air blowing in. Bathroom needing remodeling , area , including room smelled like marijuana and old smoke. People knocking on outside door all throughout the night .
- 1/5
All I have to say is the worse place I ever been room was super dirty the smell was terrible my clothes got the smell the bathroom was disgusted I didn’t even want to take a shower
- 2/5
This place is very outdated. I can't say it wasn't clean, but it was very much in disrepair. The walls are so thin. It sits in between two roads; therefore it is very noisy. The door did not even seal good. You could see daylight. the Desk person was nice enough. No breakfast. I thought it said breakfast, but I was so tired, I couldn't tell you now.
- 4/5
The property is not new but the priice is good. Some noises coming from the vehicles outside.
- 3/5
The door barely closed. You can see the outside, and cold air was coming in the room.
- 1/5
Nasty room door would not lock properly
- 1/5
No working tv door didn’t lock. Nasty place
- 5/5
Good place
- 1/5
No breakfast provided at property while it says free breakfast on Expedia . Unhelpful, poor manner staff.
- 1/5
This room had dirty sheets and pillow cases. Dead roach and hadn’t been cleaned. The shower didn’t work. The sink was clogged and had to be maintenanced. The door did not close all the way it was warped. And we had to buy freshners due to the smell. I have pictures of all these issues.
- 1/5
This place is at best a rundown crakhouse.
- 4/5
The hotel was not bad. Staff was nice. East check in. We had some questionable people staying on the floor under us. But we didn't have any problems from them. Area was nice. Stores and restaurants fairly close.
- 1/5
Cancer our reservation at 4:00 p.m. did not give us time to get there we arrived at 6:30 to find out that they cancel our room at 4:00 p.m. and check-in was at 3:00 would not recommend it look very dumpy and very scary
- 1/5
Place was run down, door barely closed and the lock was missing a screw, toilet smelled like sewer gas and a lot of sketchy people hang out there that are not staying at the property.
- 1/5
The first room given to me had cigarette burns in the bedsheet, front door was damaged, no water pressure in the bathtub, tub very slippery, hair dryer broken, outlet next to sink broken, iron was missing, was very difficult to get someone to help at the front desk, front desk very cluttered, no continental breakfast as advertised, steps to get to 2nd floor were “risky”.
- 5/5
Good place to stay
- 1/5
It's not even worth 20 per night. I should have left but my card was already charged . I stayed out all day come back late in the night to sleep I have never had a experience like this before
- 1/5
The few days we stayed you always had to close the bathroom because it was smelling like weed 24/7 , and we had a child with us . I will never book here again
- 2/5
The staff was nice, friendly, and prompt to handle issues. The hotel is old and could use more Many locals live at the hotel. The beds are hard. The rooms smell stuffy and smoky. The bed covers have holes in them. But the staff was nice and helpful.
- 2/5
The staff was nice, friendly, and prompt to handle issues. The hotel is old and could use more updates. I was extremely upset upon arrival but my feelings changed after the second day. Many locals live at the hotel. The beds are hard. The rooms smell stuffy and smoky. The bed covers have holes in them. But the staff was nice and helpful.
- 4/5
We need it to stay close to fort Jackson so this place was perfect it was very clean the only bad thing I noticed is that the door of the room didn’t lock quite right other than that everything else was ok
- 1/5
The room I was in was very dirty and did not look like the pictures that were advertised.
- 5/5
Nice quiet location close enough to the stadium for any events.
- 4/5
Room was clean and decent value.
- 4/5
This property is right on the side of a short-cut road that ALL Columbians know and use, so the traffic noise is really bad until around 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. and then it begins to quiet down. But, the rooms are always clean and everything you need is in the room.
- 4/5
It was a nice room and calm
- 5/5
Traffic is noisy until around 10:30 p.m. and then it goes away. This is because the property is on a road that is a much-used shortcut known to area residents. Rooms are always clean, floors too!
- 5/5
Traffic is noisy until around 10:30 p.m. and then it goes away.
- 4/5
I stay overnight in Columbia to avoid commuting one hour from home to work once a week. This Econo Lodge is very close (4 minutes) from my workplace. This was my fifth stay. All good experiences. The rooms are clean, linens clean, easy parking. There is much traffic noise until around 10:30 p.m. and then it goes away.
- 4/5
Nice stay for the price and location close to base and other things to do. There was a gap in the door that seemed iffy, but we had absolutely no issues with our stay. Safe and no body bothered us. We had a late night check in, no problems and simple check out. Cable tv, coffee maker, iron, blow dryer and mini frdidge. Room was always clean everyday. Did not have the breakfast as advertised though.
- 1/5
The front counter area was piled high with lots of plastic bags, boxes, cleaning supplies, and used food containers. Gross. Check-in, even though I had reserved online, took about ten minutes of the front desk worker just staring at the computer screen. The door to the room did not close all the way. The shower just had a small stream of water--not enough to wash your hair with. Yes, this is a budget motel, but still, this was really below par. I do not recommend.
- 1/5
The room was not clean, the door looked like it had been kicked in, there was some shady stuff going on outside.
- 5/5
The property is okay it could be more updated
- 1.5/5
Every drawer in the dresser broken. A very bad odor when the fan was running, bed light was plugged into a damaged socket, we unplugged it. Very noisy road. When we checked out at 9 am no one in office to report vomit in parking lot between 2 cars.
- 4/5
Location. 2 miles from Fort Jackson
- 1/5
While this motel served its purpose on our trip due to its convenience to downtown, the dirtiness of the room will not have me returning for another stay. Mold on the ceiling, cigarette holes in the sheets, the bathroom door could not shut all the way and some odd stains on the walls of the bathroom area are glaring issues that need to be fixed. There was also an odd smell in the room for the entirety of the stay and and floor didn’t seem to have been swept before our stay.
- 3/5
Not a bad hotel, except the shower. No curtain, tub floor steep, and slippery.
- 4/5
I didn't like that chicken was at 2:00 I wish it was earlier and check out could be a little later
- 4/5
It was okay.
- 1/5
This place should not be open for business
- 2/5
Rooms needs serious maintenance. Exhaust fan was extremely loud, smoke detector wires hanging from wall, later found smoke detector in a drawer, bed felt broken, felt uneasy staying there. Even checked for bed bugs because it had that vibe.

Definitely the worst night ever! First door did not close properly, there was a Gap in closure it look like someone could kick it open. The furniture was dusty and I had to grab a towel to clean it to be able to lay my things on top. The sink in the bathroom area had a men's underwear having on the side of the ironing board. But that was not the worst part. The beds (mattresses) felt like they were 100 yrs old, def springs loose, my body was aching all over. I had to make due since I was driving for 4 hrs and got there around midnight, and to look for another hotel at that time. When I ran twice in the morning around 7 am, there was no breakfast set up and manager nowhere in site. Horrible experience, will never stay at Econo Lodge
- 1/5
This property advertised falsely. There was no breakfast as advertised. There are no clean towels and the sink kept clogging. When asked about breakfast, the owner replied that coffee was the only thing they provided for breakfast. The beds were not stable. They kept moving if someone moved. The room was very small…overall…1 star is too much for them.
- 4/5
The bed was way to firm for me! But other than that it was a decent room for the price
- 1/5
Continental breakfast was non existent. Not even a pot of coffee! Definitely not worth $115! I wouldn’t have even paid $50!
- 3/5
They advertised breakfast included. It was not that big deal for me but to say that it is available and it is not, is disappointing. With that being said, they hotel served it's purpose.
- 1/5
I reserved non-smoking they put me in smoking room .They advertise cont. breakfast, didn't have it .The room had a bad oder and was not clean enough, stain from food on walls.no chair to sit on .broken coffee pot and the bath door would not close because they installed the latch in the door knob backward . and the AIRcondition cover kept falling off so i finally left off!!! Too much play in the front door and you could see top and bottom light from the outside come in. burnt hole in the covers saw wires but no smoke alarm in it
- 3/5
Small quiet location really old and could use upgrade custimer service is good
- 4/5
Location was difficult to safely enter, parking was cramped, guests appeared to be living on site, hanging out on the sidewalks with screaming children running around. Looked forward to the advertised continental breakfast only to find out it's no longer offered. The room was updated and smelled clean. Obvious signs of prior water damage had spots on ceiling dropping pieces of plaster all over. But it didn't feel dirty. Bathroom was nice, but slippery as hell. The floors were gleaming, but were like ice even barefoot. Tub was likewise a skating rink and we had to hold on for dear life just sitting on the toilet or getting into or out of the shower. There were loud men chatting outside our door well after midnight. The furnishings were nice, the TV was huge. Overall, I'd stay again.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and accommodating. I got what I paid for.
- 2/5
Bathroom was dirty toilet was not cleaned at all towels was a mess. Just was not a good room
- 2/5
Dirty, uncomfortable. Pillows were like blankets bundled up in pillow cases
- 4/5
The price during graduation week was outragous.
- 1/5
They had bed bugs they had to change the Refrigerator it wasn’t working so they change it from another room to a new refrigerator because the one in the room wasn’t working it was not no maintenance was available around that time
- 3/5
A free continental breakfast is advertised but not provided according to the attendant due to COVID-19 restrictions only a coffee machine is but I didn't see any filter to be able to operate it. For a limited budget it's a fair choice overall. For a limited budget it's a fair choice.
- 3/5
For the price you pay what you get
- 3/5
My stay usually is fine but this time they only had one room left & the fridge wasn’t working at all.
- 2/5
The bath tub was very slippery and and dangerously built don’t know why the tub is on a platform which makes it hard to step in. I slipped going in the tub.
- 4/5
Please keep up the good work!
- 1/5
room flirty. furniture broken. only stayed short period and left
- 1/5
There were hookers, drug dealers and crack heads hanging out at the hotel. There was spit on the floor, urine on the ground in the bathroom and roaches in the microwave. Had my wife and kids with me for Army basic training graduation. We left immediately.
- 1/5
Hotel facility are poor and old. no comfort on the bed only a sheet and cover. The AC are very noisy. No any service during the stay.
- 1/5
The room smelled really bad , there is a weird film on top of bed like a oily chemical that stayed on your hand , did not end up staying , went found another hotel.would not recomend this place to anyone, the door had big gap you can see the cars going buy .cant tell you much else , didnt stay long enough to see anything else.
- 4/5
I didn’t like that the cops barricaded the place and that they have roaches but the owners left us alone
- 2/5
Gap in the door was mold on the bathroom ceiling general run down appearance someone banging on my door while I was asleep vending machines didn't work and a homeless man was asleep outside the room where the laundry was
- 3/5
Safe
- 4/5
Anyway , the rest was great! Location is good, free parking , iron in our room, clean room.
- 2/5
The fridge didn't work, the microwave required a code of some kind, the door would slightly move each time the neighboors went in and out of their rooms. The shower was extremely slippery, I bruised my leg getting out trying to not fall. Had to reset the outlet to get it to work. Staff was good, did help out with issues.
- 1/5
There were people outside the office area doing drugs. Alot of people just hanging around outside. The place was nasty. Would never send anyone to that location
- 2/5
There was always people outside my room talking, smoking, and asked for a light bulb for the room from 3 people and never received it. The room was dim and had a broken bulb. It was a room on the vanity. The floor was dirty and had not been mopped. The refrigerator was also dirty. The cover had cigarette burns all in it and one of the was clothes had black stuff all on it. I would never stay there again. It looks like a hotel that people just come to get a room real quick to do whatever and leave that same day or night.
- 3/5
The disinfectant used had bad smell. The room should have been aired out. The noise level in rooms 103 & 105 and the car being refed up in the parking lot out side my door after11pm was unexciptable. Had to wear ear plugs.
- 2/5
Didn't like the surrounding I felt unsafe so I left within 2 hours of checking in and microwave was dirty
- 3/5
It was late after an almost 9 hour drive, beds were horrible, couldn't sleep. Big king size bed with 4 tiny square "throw" size pillows. Plugged my phone charger in behind the night stand. I can tell you THAT never gets cleaned. It was disgusting, as well as the lamp shades on the bed side lamps. Just clumps of dust hanging off them. Glad my son wont ever need picked up from basic training again.
- 1/5
It’s was unsafe, dirty, and noisy traffic.
- 3/5
Lots of road noise. Building isn't in the best condition, especially the door which looked like it didn't fully shut and could be opened with a strong shove, but it did shut all the way. Someone kept banging on my door at 11pm the first night. Moved the chair in front of the door that night to feel safer. Second night was better. Good location as far as restaurants etc. To be honest, I went cheap for the first 2 nights in Columbia here and I got what I paid for
- 1/5
Noisey, falling apart, needed to lean on door to close it enough to lock it, tub so slippery it's dangerous and no mat to put in the tub. Coffee maker, but no coffee. Worst place we've ever stayed!
- 4.5/5
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
- 0.5/5
This hotel was horrible. The bed sizes are small (full-sized beds) I paid extra for a double bed room. At night there were people running down the halls, screaming etc. I was scared the entire stay. The continental breakfast is just toast and coffee
- 2/5
Desk clerk barely spoke English and wasn't helpful. Front desk was a complete mess, lobby and room were not very clean. Shower had very low water pressure but was constantly dripping.
- 2.5/5
Very unsafe shower. Even using handrail, I almost slipped.
- 5/5
Great continental breakfast and the clerk gave us great directions room 202Ã°à ¸ÃÂâ¬nice room very clean thank you Ã°à ¸âÂÂÃÂ

Management,,,,, management was good took care of issues that arose .pluming behind walls behind toilets
- 3/5
the two cockroaches in the room
- 4/5
The hotel was small, exactally what I wanted. The room was clean, plenty of towels. Some updates was going on, wasn't a factor no noise. Air conditioner needs cleaning or update. Cable wasn't the best. Channels listed didn't work. Did have local station for news and weather.
- 4.5/5
The staff maintained the facility well it was directly down the road from the Side gate of FT. Jackson.
- 1/5
the hotel was moldy. Outdated. Very dirty and had horrible smells in the rom as if an animal sprayed.
