    I would highly recommend this hotel. It's close to downtown Columbia, and the rooms were updated and clean. The staff is friendly everywhere. The gym, pool and food/beverages at Columbo's was excellent! I will stay here again when needed.

    We got there around 8:00pm. There was 6 teenage boys running through the lobby, the hall ways on every floor. We got to our room and a large group of adults in the room next door were being very loud with the door open. We had to go back to registration and request a different room. This one was closer to the interstate. It was very noisy..we could even hear some construction workers that were hanging out drinking beer in the parking lot. The room wasn't very clean ,the sofa bed had stains and no sheets. I called to get sheets several times. I got them an hour later. There was dirty sheets in the hallway. There's broken floor tiles every where. This hotel needs to be remodeled. I won't stay there again.

    Breakfast was not included. we asked to clean the room but no one showed up . The air conditioner was too loud and not effective at all. The room was very dated and needs some remodeling. The mattress was very comfortable and shower was working just fine.

It was a little dated but it appears to be in the process of being renovated. This isn't something that would prevent me from returning. I would definitely stay here again.

    This is not a 4-star hotel. 3 at the most! Yes it’s outdated but it’s dirty. Our room hasn’t been dusted what looked like in weeks. Every surface had a layer of dust. Including base boards in the bathroom was nearly black. Each morning housekeepers had rows of dirty laundry on the floor in the hallway instead of putting it in a bin. We dined a couple times and it was a 2/5. We sat down one day to have lunch and was approached with “do you need these” as he was handing us menus. Bar and restaurant customer service needs major changes. Front desk was always very kind and attentive! I would not come back or recommend this location to others.

    The breakfast was too expensive. Went elsewhere. Our stay was not good. I reserved an acessable room. The room we were assigned was not. The equipment available to bring in our luggage was not available when needed and the workers were not helpful. Answers to questions were short and inadequate.. i will never stay at this hotel again. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone...overpriced and inadequate. I am losing my previously good opinion of Hilton and will not use your hotels again. Robert Whelchel

    There are no shops near. The only food is a Burger King or Cracker Barrel. The room was clean, but the hotel is dated. you can see obvious deterioration in the rooms with missing baseboards and stained carpet. The registration staff was good, only one person had an attitude. All the other staff was very friendly and welcoming.

    All good Would have liked an earlier check-in. Was told check-in time was 3. I was on the road 40 years and know rooms become clean as staff works--not all at once. I offered my number for a text when available but to know avail so ended up in line after 3. I also know accommodations were made for others before three so that was disappointing. If told you only accommodate honors members with requests that would have been at least a bit more palatable since I had many early check-ins on the road regardless of POLICY in my years of traveling. Just an FYI!

I expected a top-notch hotel affiliated with a Hilton name on it. very disappointed.

    I like that it was close to everything far as like shopping and going to get food I didn’t like how when I first arrive apparently the door had a battery to it so my door was dead, which was not allowing me to enter my room so I had to have maintenance come up at least multiple times for the first day however they were able to fix it

    When checking in the 2 ladies at the front desk were chatting and we stood there for a couple of minutes until one lady looked at us like we were bothering them, I stated we are checking in, she rolled her eyes and asked our information, she got us checked in and said there will not be any room service unless we let the front desk know by 8 am of the day we needed the room service done. While during our stay we needed toilet paper, my wife went to the front desk and asked for some toilet paper, the person at the front desk told her it would be right up this was around 4pm, nothing was brought up we wound up using the restrooms in the hall by the snack machines. the next day we saw a house keeping lady and asked her if we could get the toilet paper, she had it to us in 10 minutes. the bathroom was moldy around the floor and shower. at night the room door has light coming in around it from the hall on the other side, so much so there is no need for a night light. I really do not feel that the price we paid for the room was anywhere near worth what we had to pay for.

    Hotel is outdated and carpets needed replacement asap. Key card did not work and had to go back and forth to front desk until having to wait for the security guy to open the door. The lock-out problem seems to happen often because there are pry marks on the doors about the hotel.

    Nothing was impressive. Just another hotel. Corners of bathroom was dirty, obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. Room was ok, but apparently some employees sitting at bar, discussing a bed bug infestation. Not a good sign. None of the employees stood out as good or even great. They were average at best.     Nothing was impressive. Just another hotel. Corners of bathroom was dirty, obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. Room was ok, but apparently some employees sitting at bar, discussing a bed bug infestation. Not a good sign. None of the employees stood out as good or even great. They were average at best. I wont plan to book there again, as you should at least get a smile. No discussion of amenities, local things of interest. Nothing. Rather sad.

    Manager has a terrible attitude, I call down for towels (as the housekeeper told me to do) and after waiting about 40 minutes I called again to see if I need to come down and get them myself because it had been about 45 minutes waiting for some towels… the manager says with a nasty attitude “no it has not been 45 minutes it’s only been 30 minutes” as if that were more acceptable… it’s towels not food

    I paid up for a room with outdoor balcony only for that balcony to be completely unusable. The space had not been cleaned in a very long. Fat spiders, their prey debris, old webs, tree and pollen debris...who wants to sit in that? Because I was only at the hotel to shower and sleep and because my family and I received excellent customer service at the front desk and gave me extra towels multiple times without issue. Please clean all spaces included in the price of the room that you expect people to pay for. Walls and ac vents etc should be cleaned periodically. Overall for my short stay, my needs were met.

    We arrived at this property to attend an event at the Gala Convention Center. The very first contact we had was with the shuttle driver, Lance. Lance was awesome! He was accomodating, informative, and very helpful with making recommendations for the area. Then, we met with the front desk attendant, Kadecia (sorry, spelling is probably wrong). Again, AWESOME! We arrived a bit earlier than expected but she went out of her way to assist with recommendations of where to go and what to do in the meantime. Unfortunately, he had to step in and make sure we received enough towels, toilet paper, and body gel. We had to ask for more towels more than 4 times. The hotel's location is perfect, the property is beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, we are unable to give it the five stars we would like to give due to a few bad apples on the staff and perhaps and overworked cleaning staff.

I've always enjoyed this Doubletree, but this trip wasn't the best. 1st: found bags of trash hid behind a chair in our room. 2nd: the shower handle was broke off & just laying on soap rack. 3rd: no mattress cover, just a fitted sheet. 4th: NO cookies. Front desk personnel were super nice tho! I'd give em another try, but I guess I should of been more vocal on my findings in the room.

    This was 1 of 2 4 star hotels in the city, that is why I chose it. We were supposed to have adjoining rooms, but in one of the rooms, the sink didn’t drain and the phone didn’t work. The other part of our party was moved to a different floor to find a functional room. During our 3 night stay, our room was NEVER serviced. We were told after the first night that we had to request that the room be serviced, but it still didn’t happen. When we requested clean towels, it took 3 calls and a visit to the desk. After the second night, it took 5 requests over the course of the day. The staff overall, didn’t seem to care. Will not stay there again and would not recommend.

    Hotel is located close to the highway which was very convenient. Restaurant onsite and close by with shopping options with in 15 mile radius. My only complaints are the the room was very dusty and one of the lights didn't work by the bed. Rooms could use a touch up around rusty areas. The hotwater is on point and the bed was comfortable with nice firm pillows. I would stay here again If into soul food, check out KiKi's Chicken and Waffles.

    We made a reservation from 10/31- 11/2.. we never had anyone come in amd clean our room once..the room had holes in the ceiling..water stains on the ceiling..carpets were stained amd filthy..furniture was probably the original from opening day 30 years ago..pillows were s.all n had stains on the pillow cases..overall terrible experience..We will never stay there again amd will post all this information on social media..for what we paid we were disgusted in almost every part of our stay.

    It was the host hotel for a homecoming event, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. We requested fresh towels and never received them. They did not have enough staff to help during breakfast. On check out day, the housekeeping staff started knocking on our door at 8am, even though we repeatedly told them that check out was at noon. I love Hilton properties, however I will not come back to this location.

    Most notable negatives were the cleanliness of the shower, stained lampshade, and the terrible service at the onsite restaurant, where I waited for 40 minutes to collect a to-go order of 2 side items.     Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk and manager were rude and unprofessional. Arrived 1/2 hour early hoping for a room, none were available. No rooms were available at the 3 pm check in time either. Upon finally getting our room, the bathroom and shower areas looked like they had not been cleaned properly for quite some time as there was mold in and outside the shower, the balcony area was disgusting and there was no mattress pad on the bed. The entire facility was unkept; lobby chairs are stained; elevator indicator lights don't work and are filthy, the property needs an over hall. First and last time staying in this Hilton. Hilton should be embarrassed to have their name on this hotel.

    The hospitality of the entire staff was amazing! They let me check in early, and made accommodations to my stay with ease and with the most pleasant of attitudes.     We booked a room at the DoubleTree in Columbia, SC for one night. When we opened the door to our room we thought the heat was on. The thermostat showed 81 degrees. I turned it down and waited an hour nothing changed. I went to the lobby and explained the problem and they sent the maintenance man to check the air conditioner. He worked on the unit and thought he had it fixed. We waited almost an hour and still no change. I went back to the lobby and told them that there was no change, just hot air coming from the unit. They told me to set the thermostat down to 60, which I did but it didn’t change a thing. The room was so hot that we couldn’t sleep!! It was the worst experience of our vacation!!!

    But have you ever been to a hotel where it felt like they were only barely maintaining it and were kinda on the losing side of the battle? That’s here. It’s a high-traffic property, I know, and it was clean (80% clean), but it showed many signs of neglect in some important places. 1) Waiting for the elevator, I lean over and see an ancient coffee cup and loose trash on the non-walkable area where one would expect to see some vibrant shrubs or plants. 2) There is significant water damage on a 15-foot section of a hallway wall going from the lobby to a side exit. 3) Food left outside of a room remained there from 6:30pm until 11am the next day. 4) The hallway trash cans, likewise, were neglected and overflowing with trash. It reads to me as understaffed more than negligent / incompetent, but I could be wrong. But regardless, if I could casually noticed these matters, there are definitely more, and probably worse things I didn’t see but others have. They need to invest in the property now before they get worse. You will enjoy your stay but you won’t be able to again if they end up closing for repairs later. It’s a beautiful property but needs a stronger eye on detail and resolve to make needed repairs / staffing adjustments.

The crab dip (a late night snack) was good and the server brought us extra crackers when we ran out. The water pressure for the shower was excellent. Checking out was easy. The morning coffee (set out at 6:30AM) wasn't bad at all. The location was convenient for all of our travels (in all directions). The bad: When we arrived, (after 3:00pm) we had to wait for a room (they weren't "ready). The agent I was working with left her shift and was replaced by another front desk agent who ignored the fact that we (my friend and I) were waiting for a room and proceeded to deal with another customer, she deemed "1st in line". That customer then informed her we were first in line. This was a mild annoyance. The A/C ran all the time - it could not cool the room - the controls were locked and the room thermostat served NO purpose- (the less than adequate coolness of the air was likely due to low a refrigerant charge - I'm familiar with troubleshooting A/C systems). The toilet roll hanger broke - we informed the front desk, the agent claimed it would be fixed on the 1st day (it remained broken throughout our 2 day stay). There was only ONE trashcan in the bathroom and it was small There was no maid service - we had to ask the front desk for new towels each day and leave dirty ones in the room (no pickup).

I assumed our a/c froze, but when I got up and looked. It was coming from the floor above. The drapes were stain and the ceiling was stained. The towel I put down to try stop the dripping sound all night long was completely soaked. This has had to be going on for a long time. So that morning I went to the desk around 9am. They said they had no rooms available but would get one in the afternoon. By the time I got back to the room, the drape and rod fell out of the ceiling along with ceiling texture the area clearly had mold. We left for the day, came back around 3pm and still no room, left at 4 still no room. We didn't get our room til we arrived back that evening at 10:30m. To move a 4yr old and all your stuff at 10:30pm was a treat. When we checked out still no resolution for the room. I always got the "I'm not the manager I cant make a decision" and the Manager never called me back, I had to call the hotel back after hotels.com couldn't get a differentAwful customer service for what we had to deal with. Definitely not the standard I would assume that would come with Doubletree or Hilton brand.. TOTALLY DON'T RECOMMEND.

    Cushions in the lobby were dirty and stained. We had one half a roll of TP with no other rolls. Baseboard in the hall ways coming off and dead bugs in the bathrooms by the conference rooms. We will never stay here again.

    The room was fine and clean. The shower experience was less than enjoyable as it took SEVERAL minutes for the water to get hot, not just two minutes as the sign on the shower door suggested. We didn't have enough towels and when I went down to the front desk to ask for towels, the man behind the desk gave me a look that let me know they were out of towels and he took my room number down to bring them up but that never happened. Very average stay, don't recommend this property and will not return.

    Me and a few girlfriends stayed here for a few days. Pool was a good time even with the sprinkle of a few rain drops. Staff was great and friendly but kitchen/restaurant was very short staff. Food was decent. Bartender was great and fun. I would stay here again.

    During my stay, the room was near a garbage can that was full of trash for the entire day and never emptied. A request was made for housekeeping to clean the room and it was never cleaned. I had to request new towels & washcloths. The television in the room didn’t work properly and a loud humming sound was coming from a generator below the room. The sound was continuous. The overall housekeeping and cleanliness of this hotel is well below average. Please do not waste your money and stay at another hotel in the Columbia area.

    Great Location...my biggest issue was with the energy saving process that takes place during the hottest hours of the day...my room was 75° each time I returned...and the system shut down often if no movement in the room...crazy setup for summer weather! Also, not good when I was bitten by bedbugs!!!

    Dust on the walls, light out in bathroom, no bathroom vent, garbage left under the bed, AC never went below 75F, door had visible damage to it, room entrance card did not work on the first time, coffee maker was missing parts, shower always got water on the floor, conditioner was empty, toilet was too high to sit comfortably on. Hotel bar and restaurant was nice though. Was unaware of the shuttle to the hotel. All staff was super friendly and nice.

    Only reason we booked this hotel was for the pool and it was closed. No notification was given or we would have cancelled. Management could give us no information on when it was closed or for how long. We were then asked to leave the outside sitting area at dusk. Why can’t we sit outside? Multiple instances of evident water damage inside property and when for some reason all the main floor bathrooms were locked in the morning when I was trying to workout. Overall very dissatisfied and won’t be staying at Hilton anytime soon

    The main issue was the kitchen staff. After speaking with them ordered from an offsite location. Ceiling tiles showed water damage. Shower had mold. I will say the rest of the room was clean. This is however the second Doubletree ive stayed at in the last 4 months where the cable did not work

    Located right off I20 and not too far from I26. The bathroom needs a remodel specifically the shower floor tiles. Beds were comfortable and room was overall clean. Don't waste money on breakfast. It was not worth the 15 bucks. Crackle Barrel is a 5 minute drive.

    This hotel is filthy. The floors are dirty. The shower has mold. The door and entry area is worn out and damaged. We had to change rooms because pipes in the wall were rattling very loudly. The window in the elevator is broken. The heater is very loud. When it comes on at night it wake us up. Hilton should be ashamed of itself for being associated with this hotel.

    Our room had not been properly cleaned when we checked in. There was a used bar of soap on the bathroom counter, a dirty towel on the floor underneath it, and one clean towel. There were cigarette butts, empty beer cans, and several active spider webs on the balcony. The microwave didn't work properly and the coffee maker didn't work at all. There were no blankets or sheets in the room for the pull out sofa and there was only one pillow. The tv remote did not work and someone had wedged paper in the door latch to keep it from functioning properly. After 3 phone calls to the front desk, the night manager came to look at our room and was very responsive. But one of the staff members at the front desk was unprofessional and rolled her eyes and walked away from the desk when I asked a question after reporting the issues with the room. Definitely not the quality you'd expect renting a suite at the Hilton.
