    It was just ok. Some of the staff was a little on the rude side. It was ok for the price just a place to sleep for a couple of nights while we attended graduation at Fort Jackson.

    Hotel NEEDS an update. Room smelt of mildew and furniture in room was very damaged. Pool does not work. Saw a lot of people commenting it smells like weed which it does but didn’t see a single bug while we were there. Even when as far as checking the bed for bugs also. The staff is what made up for the issues with the property. They were very kind.

    The location and staff were great. There were no issues of safety at the hotel and the staff was prompt in responding to our needs. We didn't have a microwave in our room, the iron didn't work, the remote fell apart when picked up to use, the wifi code didn't work nor the television. There also wasn't a telephone in our room to call for additional help or Issues with the room.

    The staff was friendly and effective. The pillows and bed were comfortable. The small refrigerator and microwave worked sufficiently. The shower was good. The TV worked fine. The A/C worked well. There was a bullet hole in the exterior window. There was drawer completely missing. There were spiders in the tub and ants in the window. On the first morning the continental breakfast bar was missing a number of items (e.g. yogurt, bacon, Danish sweet rolls). These items were there on the second morning. The room smelled like cigarettes when we first entered. The icemaker was broken; therefore no cups or ice bucket in the room. There was no water in the pool. It was dirty and the metal steps were broken off and at the bottom of the pool. The housekeeper did not make the bed. One day we smelled marijuana in the hallway.

    The room was very musty.. the carpet by the heating/air unit was pulled back like it had been wet. It was totally stained and gross. There was some kind of greasy stuff on the table between the beds and the light between the beds. I have terrible allergies so we left and did not even stay the night! The gentleman bed hind the desk was not very helpful at all! No refund was offered, he told me to go online and get it.

    Workers were friendly. Breakfast the first day was nice. Went out for breakfast on the second day at 8:50 am and there wasn’t anything. I thought it was a little early to close it down. The pool wasn’t open. The entire hotel reeked of pot the whole 3 days we were there. It was almost like it was being put through the ventilation system.

    This was one of my worst hotel stays. I felt bad for the staff as they tried very hard to be polite and apologetic when the key card had to be reprogrammed at least 10 times because it would not open our door, the no buffet breakfast one day because they forgot to pick up the supplies, the no coffee one day because they forgot to take it out of the freezer to defrost, the banged up walls in the hallways, furniture in our room that was missing drawers, marked up and dingy. The positive-the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and it was cheap..but you get what you pay for.

    Stay away!! Mold, bugs, smoking in rooms, ripped out smoke alarms, dirty bedding, dirty towels and hair in the sinks, broken shower knobs. This hotel should be shut down!

They didn’t say anything, just gave us the most basic room they had and we had to go to them about the mix up. They did offer a discount, but that doesn’t make up for the fact we didn’t even have a shower curtain in the bathroom. We never got the requested room and were stuck with what we got. There wasn’t breakfast as advertised both mornings we were there and the pool was covered and gross.

    Nothing The room we were given when we arrived, the toilet wouldn't flush, no water in the tank and the valve didn't work either to put water in the tank. The bathroom ceiling was also covered in mold and mildew. Every piece of metal covered in rust. Paint peeling and falling from the ceilings. Since the toilet didn't work we were given a new room, just as nasty w/ match sticks in weird places and burn marks on the walls, tub cracked, but at least the toilet worked. Then at 1:30am we were woken to a staff member banging on the door threatening to call the police to throw us out. I opened the door and he said "no one is supposed to be in this room". I explained that the toilet didn't work and we were given this room. He said "well no one put it in the system " and left with no apology for disturbing our sleep. It took us a good 2hrs to fall back asleep which then left us leaving later than we wanted on the next part of our trip. I requested a full refund but I doubt that will happen.

    NOTHING! My room had mold from water damage over a year ago. A hole in the flooring next to the AC. We had small roach on the back board of the bed. iI was run down and very un-kept. EVERYTHING This facility is VERY RUNDOWN. We checked in late the first night. it was uncomfortable showering because there was a panel on the roof that was not secured. Looking in the peep hole you could see clearly into our room . There was a hole in the floor that was covered by the carpet where the floor was not solid. Mold on the wall by the AC unit behind the base material. A roach crawled out of the headboard of one of the beds as we were packing up to leave. This is a horrible hotel.

    DONT DO IT!! The hotel is disgusting. Roaches in the rooms. Dirty stinky torn carpet. Doors dont work, pieces falling all down the halls. Rooms stink like smoke and must. Staff has zero clue how to provide any type of customer service. Towels, wash cloths, blankets and breakfast unavailable. (We has a suite with 3 people and had to purchase our own towrls and linens. Did not provide breakfast because they dont have a working fridge. For $200 a night is absolutely absurd. Will be filIng formal complaint with BBB.

    Facility clean and accessible Air didn’t work, holes in wall, tv rested on wall as if it feel, smoke detector in drawer, not enough towels, plumbing came away from wall, no chairs in room, smell of marijuana in bathroom (1st room) After being moved to second room air conditioner started blowing warm air. We had to repeatedly turn it off to get the cold air blowing. We are were awakened by the heat in the middle of the night. Next morning we go to eat breakfast they tell us that the freezer is broken and they only have a limited supply of cereal. So we had to go out and pay for breakfast that should have been apart of our booking. Coming back in I stopped to get juice or coffee to take my meds. Both machines not working though it was during the posted hours. Next morning no breakfast at all. Finally the ice machine had no grate and I could see standing water full of debris. It was the only machine. I gagged when I had to use it.

    There was a broken drawer in the chest of drawers. There was no chair to sit at the desk, and there was no outlet to plug in technology (cell phone/computer). The wall plugs were very loose, and it was hard to keep the plugs in them. The bathtub did not have a rubber bath mat, which made the bottom of the bathtub slippery and could cause a fall. There was no stopper in the sink or bathtub. The curtains were torn and had holes in them. They were also dusty. At check-out, the representative did not greet me or ask about my stay, but told me to drop my key in a box on the counter. This was not a pleasant stay. I want to be reimbursed for not having access to running water during my stay.

    I was put into a room that should have been marked as a Do not rent (DNR). No toilet seat, tiles cracked so we had to wear shoes otherwise we would get cut by the tiles. Also the room was musty smelling. Took an hour to check in. Other rooms they tried to give us had no air conditioning and the other was under construction. Only stayed for 4 hours. Was promised we would be compensated but never heard back from the hotel. Now when I call the property no one answers. Please help us resolve this.

    Location was perfect. The staff was awesome and very helpful. The pillows were super comfy. When I arrived I needed an early check in and was accommodated Halls smelled of weed and smoke. Bad. When I got to my room the linens and bed covering were torn and worn looking. The furniture in the room broken looking the tiles in bathroom were broken loose and a trip hazard. The bathtub shower area was dirty stained and unpleasant - I went downstairs and requested another room as I was worried I could trip and fall in bathroom in the loose tiles and was accommodated next room was nice

    We were there for two nights to attend my son graduation. There was no microwave in the room when we arrived and I went to front desk to ask about it. We eventually got permission from one guy at the front desk to take the one in the lobby after our third trip to the front desk to inquire about it. We saw a big flying roach on the wall, my sis had to kill it. Everything went smoothly after that.

    For the hot breakfast you did get thin bacon and coffee- nothing else hot(waffle maker broken) room was old and smelled stale. Had to keep the window open to air out. FYI if you have children-no barriers over windows! Fixture were all rusty and vent fan was falling down inside shower

    The only good thing about this hotel was the appearance outside was great. Inside the lobby it was good but my room had a hole in the wall where work must have been done to the bathtub plumbing. The piece cut out was still leaning up against the wall. Had one hanger, one bath towel and the internet sucked badly. Hardly could use it. Breakfast only had white bread, waffle maker was broken, juice watered down. The danish was good and the bacon was good. No eggs though. I best I could say about this play, the price was reasonable and it was clean in the room. It does need a lot of tender-loving care to get back up to standard.

    Young man named Carlos was kind, patient and respectful. Loved the location in proximity to downtown, gas stations, and restaurants. Walmart is nearby. Did give my mother a change of scenery. The breakfast was skimpy and basic. Food available was adequate and was SOME substance but expected more hot breakfast items. And the one morning bacon was served, it was laying in grease. Other than one wobbly chair, no comfortable place in the room for sitting. Had a dark corner by the window that can use a chair and a light. Curtains were stained and moldy and room had stale cigarettes smell.

    The older black guy was lying in the sofa watching family feud when I arrived not at the desk so I ring the bell instructed by the sign. He yellled “what you want”. I was so confused so I told him I needed to check in. He came around to the desk and began banging the computer mouse on the desk saying it doesn’t work. He told me he can’t do anything because the mouse doesn’t work. I asked him what that means because I already paid for my room before I arrived. He called some guy on the phone and he was instructed to keep trying, take the batteries out and replace them and keep trying. We stood there over 6 minutes watching him take the batteries out and continuously replace them incorrectly. Finally we told him to turn the battery the other way and it worked. Some girl walks up and tells him to give her another room key because she left one in the room and the one she had with her isn’t working. So without even checking to verify that she actually occupied that room he gave her a key to the room. The furniture in the rooms is outdated, mold in the showers, holes in the walls and stand in the bed sheets. He told us breakfast starts at 6:30 am when we arrived downstairs at 7:10 am the breakfast area was completely empty just like the night before when we checked in.     The room was ok. Staff was slack. Two out of three front desk personnel were very bad. One could not do anything until the lady showed up, and insulted my husband who asked a simple question,by calling him a hot head, when he wanted him to conduct business in the front office instead of sitting in the lobby. The younger guy was nice and helpful. Wish he was around for all communication.She came in could not see, or find her contacts. Was not ready to work two days straight at 7am. Said she didn't have her contacts in and couldn't see the computer. Seemed upset that I had questions when she came in. Black stuff was in frosted flakes two days in a row

    The room was clean. Staff lady at check in was very nice and polite. Only thing i had a problem was checking out with the staff member. I checked out a day early due to incoming storm weather approaching, so my flight changed to a day beofre for departure. I should be refunded my last night since i did check out at 330am 30Jan2026. She wouldn't credit it back. So I want to make a complaint on that. Also, she was sleeping on the job. I had to wake her up.

    Room that i booked was not available so i had to downgrade without any reimbursement. The room i was moved to didn't have heat. I had to relocate to another room after that. On top of all that the next morning there was no breakfast. Horrible experience!!!

    The staff were very friendly. The room had roaches and my blanket had cigarette burn holes on it. My room smelt like smoke and it was supposed to be a no smoke room. The rooms and the entire building needs maintenance.

    We were content with our stay until we wanted to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. There were no cups for the coffee, the place was busy and everyone was disappointed. The owner of the hotel was running the front desk, I asked for a receipt for my stay and was reprimanded for booking it through a third party because according to him the establishment only get paid part of the money. The owner also yelled at a guest for taking 3 pieces of toast, saying that restaurants would only give you 2 and that the guest was being greedy. The owner was extremely rude.

    I stayed here this past Spring. I thought I was booking same hotel with a different location. I’m not from SC. The location and price were exactly what I needed for this last minute booking. Close to restaurants and plenty of shopping plazas. However, I was seeking shelter when I realized it was the same location. Breakfast was an improvement. The waffle maker was up and running. They also offered eggs, bacon, muffins, danishes, toast, juice, milk, and coffee. Still no lids for the coffee cups. The room was worst than the last time. Water damage over the tub, cracked floor tiles, stained toilet seat, rusted door frame, stained carpet, no microwave, no refrigerator, stained bed linens. I would submit images but there is no link. I wasn’t comfortable! I was awaken by a man next door vomiting around 3 AM. I had to turn music on to fall asleep.

    I believe the room could have been in better condition, the air conditioner did not work properly, we didn’t have enough towels available. The curtains were ripped, there was no phone available to be able to connect with the service desk and the usb ports did not function. I believe the experience should have been better.

    “Free” breakfast was overpriced. Simple stuff (like no salt & pepper, not to mention other missing items, like a meat offering in the chafing dish next to the scrambled eggs). Not like dish was dirty because it had been emptied. Looked like nothing had ever been in it yet, at 7:45 AM (opened at 6:30). Room was cheap enough that I could buy breakfast elsewhere & be OK with overall stay.

The second room had the lock broken out on the bathroom door and the floor was rotted out near the air conditioner.     The room had a kind of musty smell. One of the dressers drawer was missing the bottom. The front to the ice machine was falling off. And there was never anybody at the front desk. You always had to ring the bell.

    The room has not been updated in about 20 years. The showerhead was coming off the wall. The bed were stiff and uncomfortable. The wifi had absolutely no speed to it. If they did some updates, the hotel would be great

    This place is a dump! After checking in and went to the room, there was pet food loose on the tables , the window was broken and not able to completely close and there was mold on the bottom of the wall by the door. We went downstairs and promptly requested that my credit card be credited, cancel the reservation and left. Luckily the was a room available at another hotel 500 feet away.

    The hotel promises more than what it is!! My room said it had refrigerator and microwave and when I got there, it had nothing I did called and then they did bring it. The breakfast was terrible all time only sausage and if it finished too bad! Toaster not working where even a fired started and firedepartment was called in !! The worse part came when I kept been very itchy and noticed it had bedbugs!!!! Honestly very disappointed experience! Hotels.com did get in contact with them and said they would give me a 20% percent off . But not sure also now Im so worried about bringing home any type of insects home in my luggage or clothes

    The room was dirty, toilet seat broken, toilet paper dispenser broken with one empty roll and a very small toilet paper roll available so had to ask for toilet paper. Shower head leaked and the shower curtain rod installed incorrectly so the curtain wouldn't stay closed. Only a couple towels available for 4 people, had to ask for more and then when the room was cleaned they took all the towels! So had to ask for more again. No one staffed at desk.

    On the positive side, it was excellent for the price paid on a football weekend. But it is dumpy with questionable activity in the parking lot. Staff not very engaged. Receptionist relaxing on couch. Not great clientele. But again, great for the low price paid. Room was clean.

    The room was horrible but I did not have time to complain or ask for another room I was on a strict schedule 3 days I was there but the room they gave me looked like they were renovating it and didn’t finish paint on curtains stain on carpet lots of patch up spots not painted a dirty towel left hanging from shower no fridge or microwave but my sister had on across the hall from me the AC unit was sitting on bricks color markings on the wall and the hotel is all none smoking but it the whole second floor smelt like cigarettes and the whole building smells of marijuana we only got to the hotel to sleep surprisingly the AC worked great and the bed was clean the hallways were very dirty as well like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while very disappointed with the hotel

    I should preface this review by saying that we love baymont inn. However, this place reeked of marijuana, is old and ran down. Huge roach in bathroom. The room wasnt clean. No table or anywhere to sit/eat other than the bed. Our king room didnt have a mirror other than the bathroom. Grab bar outside the bathtub was nasty. No fridge, coffeemaker or ice bucket.

    You get what you pay for. If you are expecting a marriott for the price if a super 8, dont. You won't find it. The whole place smells like cigarette smoke. But for less than $70 and a decent location and breakfast in the morning I guess it was worth it. But if you don't want to smell like smoke pay a little more and stay someplace nicer.

    Late. I had called the day before and told them we would be late. Got to hotel we had reserved a king size bed. Desk clerk told us he had no king beds. We made a reservation so we would have a king size bed. Got room with 2 queen beds. Got to room and two lights by bed had no light bulbs. We were extremely upset by this time. Desk clerk did bring light bulbs. Talked to desk clerk Balarie in the morning she was very sweet but wasn’t able to help us.she passed the Information onto manager . Waiting to hear from manager

    Need a little sign for the property. The doors to the wings slam shut loudly. Woke up a few times last night due to it. All furnishings in the room had dings and dents. Breakfast was slim. On the plus side, front desk staff was great.

    We had an ok stay. The staff was great, they were attentive and helpful (got us a remote and extra towels). The hotel itself is outdated and needs several repairs. Being as most guests were there for Ft Jackson Army bootcamp graduation, they need to start their breakfast earlier as we had to leave at 6am both mornings.

    The room was clean (house keeping seems good as well as friendly) except the room stunk bad like cigarette smoke and mold. I left with stuffed up sinus's. The persons at the front desk was usually stuffy. Saw a huge cockroach in the lobby. No coffee in the room and no USB connections. Wasn’t able to close the drapes all the way and there was a light outside my window. The work out room had broken equipment and treadmills don’t seem to work but maybe I needed a key at the front desk but didn’t try. Got locked out of my room because key quick although they reset it pretty quickly.

    This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I have literally stayed in Motel 6 hotels that looked like a Hilton compared to this "Wyndham " owned hotel. If all the other hotels wouldn't have been sold out due to Fort Jackson having their graduation we would have just left! It was disgusting, staff is rude, holes in the ceiling, BLOOD stains on the sheets, the SMELL, plus the constant smell of Marijuana, people living there full time,the breakfast was supposd to he 6:30-9:30 and at 6:53 there was nothing except dry cereal, no milk. All while knowing that fort jackson had graduation this morning at 9:00, and gate check-in was supposed to be by 7:30. I called ahead of time and told them we were driving 18 hours and may arrive earlier and they said we could check in as early as 11:00 if necessary. Not true. The lady on duty who was the manager was just hateful. To top it all off at midnight someone tried to break into our hotel room and luckily we had a sketchy feeling from the get go and put the ironing board in front of the door. When I asked for clean sheets due to the blood stains they gave me the wrong size. I asked the owner to contact me and since he didn't I'm now writing this review to warn you DO NOT stay here! Motel 6 would be better than tbis dump.

    While outside appearances were great for our 2 night stay, once we were checked into the room it was not as pictured on the website. The pull out sofa was stained with various things and completely UNUSABLE! The sheets were not the cleanest, tiles in the hallways were falling from the ceilings, no trash can within the pool area. Looked like there was little to no maintenance at the hotel. Breakfast was lacking. All we ever saw (at 7am) were slices of bread and a couple mini muffins. We found it odd that there was no phone in the room to communicate with the front desk, no Bible either (both of which are staples in any hotel room). The furniture within the room would not be acceptable at Goodwill! Positives were the staff was friendly and accommodating, towels were nice crisp white and clean. Pool water was very clean, you could see the bottom of the pool. With as much as we visit the Columbia South Carolina area this will be a hotel that we will never book out again.

    This is the worst hotel do not book here. First off, I reserved a room and paid for it online for 2 queen beds. When I got to the hotel my room was given away and they put me in a room with a king size bed for me and my 3 teenage daughters with no explanation as to why I did not have the room that I paid for. Then we get to the room and the room is outdated and the carpet was nasty, the bed had pillows that were like small sofa pillows, the remote was broke and there spiders in the bathroom. Definitely not with the money I paid and I would never stay there again and I definitely would not recommend anyone stay there.

    Well the smell of marijuana blast you when you walked in. I asked my room not be be entered, they assured me they wouldn't. Well when I got back I noticed they came in. They took all the towels and left 1. Mind you it was my husband and 2 kids and I. There was shady people around. One woman was so high she was druling on herself. The price was ok. But won't be staying there again.

    We arrived to our room. The room was dirty. The only thing that was done was the beds in bathroom was half done. There was stuff in the freezer in fridge. God knows how long it was there the toilet broke my husband had to fix the toilet for them so that it would work. Floor was never vacuumed. Countertops were never cleaned off properly. The night staff and morning staff were awesome. They gave me a vacuum so I could vacuum the room myself, but they were so helpful so sweet so gracious they are awesome staff but the hotel is horrible.

    I utilized previous reviews to make the choice, but either the review were either paid testmony or from quite a while aho. The property interior reeks of drugs..and is quite rundown. Writing on the door jams in sharpie pen, which was really inappropriate for my granddaughters. Furniture is dilapidated, with broken tv(literally the frame is snapped) . Seems to be a property used by the humans service agency for assistance. Not a choice I would make again. 2 stars for price only

    The mattress was extremely comfortable, and the linens/towels were clean and luxurious. The front desk staff was willing to help with any problems and questions. However, the drapes were tattered, there was pink stuff on the mirror, the tub was slippery, there was caked dirt in the corners of the bathroom floor, a toothpaste cap was stuck down the unstoppered sink drain, and the directions for the wifi didn't work.

If you are sorting Columbia hotels by price and this one pops up in the first handful, book it.     I will start with the good points. The bedding was clean and the air conditioning was great. As for the condition of the room, I will not say the same. The pool was empty, it looked like it needed lot of work. As for our room there was a large part of the ceiling ( like a foot in size )that was cracked and beginning to come down from what looked like water damage. The dresser/tv stand was cracked, dusty and had no drawers or refrigerator. The headboards were mix matched and there was no telephone. The bathroom was nice and clean however, there was no shower mat to prevent a possible fall and the toilet paper holders were so rusted we removed the toilet paper rolls to use. In the walkway there was a foot size hole in the carpet that had been covered with some sort of silver spray.

    The ONLY thing this hotel had going for it was the location. The rooms need an upgrade, their cable went out and the TV had to be reset (two days?!?!), the breakfast options were meager and never refilled -- even at 6:30 a.m. -- some of the options were already gone (breakfast started at 6 a.m.). A $50 deposit at time of check-in?!?! No where in the hotel site is that mentioned!

    Overnight stay. Convenient location for my trip. Rooms smell like smoke for what I believed to be a no smoking policy space. Initial room had cracked tv screen. 2nd room the tv didn’t work at all. 3rd room was a charm. The waffle maker didn’t work so there was no batter. There were a couple bagels/danishes & yogurt. The hotel wasn’t busy so I understood why there wasn’t much on display. No lids for the coffee cups so I couldn’t grab a coffee to go. Staff was pleasant and seemed aware of the issues I mentioned. Changes room with no issues and breakfast was out of their hands. I would stay again if push came to shove. I slept good!

    The hotel is off a dark back road, so it was a lityle difficult to find. Check in went fine. I got to my room and looked out the window. I could see my car, so that was nice. While closing the shades i saw that the glass was broken in one of the windows. I had the night manager come up and look at it. It wasnt busted through, but the inside glass was mostly gone. The TV and appliances worked fine. In the bathroom there was 1 big towel,1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth. Im glad i didnt have a guest with me. Went to make coffee abd there was no flat tray in the machine to out the coffee back in. So i waited till breakfast. Shower was fine. Hair dryer had a crack in the cord, but did work. Breakfast was mostly carbs, but did have some turkey bacon and waffkes to make. The handle on the waffle mix was not connected properly and fell off. I was able to get the connection seated properly, but some mix came out on the tray and splattered on my shirt. The night before i went out to my car to get my meds abd there were 4 flashing police cars in the parking lot about 15 feet from my car. They were talking to someone. I got my stuff and left immediately. A guy in the lobby was sitting on the couch screaming into his phone as loud as he could.     . Electrical outlet near bed pushed in wall and no cover. Only had one bath towel in room. Safe was not working. Coffee machine was unusable ,because of misding part.
