Stayed here with my wife the night after our wedding. Great view of the lake!

You get what you pay for. Place was fantastic.

Beautiful location with lake views! Close to shopping and restaurants. Heating system was loud and not working when we arrived but maintenance quickly resolved the problem. Looking forward to returning in the summer. Only suggestion is to add EV chargers in garage.

Hotel is pretty but nowhere near what you would expect for autograph. Upon arrival, none of the outlets near the bed were working. When I notified the staff, they pretty much told me that they should be and if they aren’t, well then sorry because there’s nothing they could do. The second issue was that our shower was not cleaned. The seat of the shaper had dried conditioner clumps and hair stuck to it. We woke up our second morning to the toilet above us flooding our bathroom floor, covering many of our items in dirty, brown toilet water. When I called, they sent up an engineer who said he’d check the room upstairs, and that was the last we ever heard from him. Close to $1000 of personal property was damaged/contaminated and the hotel could have cared less. They comped one of our two nights for the “inconvenience” but seem more annoyed by my complaint of waste contamination over the hazard itself and the damage to our things. For an Autograph Collection hotel, this is inexcusable. To spend this amount of money to have our property ruined, basic amenities in non-working order, and our room dirty is disgraceful.

The grounds were beautiful but I reserved a lake view and the trees are so big you couldn't see any view of the lake

The property itself is stunning. There is a huge lake outside of the hotel that in normal circumstances would give you an amazing view. However, in my case, I booked and paid for an upgraded room with a FULL lake view. Unfortunately, when I went to check-in, I was told that there was a concert in town and the hotel was overbooked. My room was on the 3rd floor and there was a giant tree that fully blocked our view of the lake. When I asked if anything could be done, I was told no, because of the concert and because of that they were overbooked- which is no fault of mine. The party goers were extremely intoxicated. Women were walking around with their bare behind out. And despite the police being there, nothing was done. There was screaming, yelling and a lot of belligerent and intoxicated behavior so loud that we could hear it in our room clearly up until 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. The whole experience was disturbing and needs to be addressed because what I paid for I definitely did not get

The hotel is nice but for the price should include breakfast or something else. I also had noted that it was my wedding anniversary ; it would’ve been nice for them to include a card or something small to commemorate. It’s the thought that counts.

Good cafe selections for breakfast with a relaxing lake view. Overall good stay. Sheets need to be refrshed / checked closer between uses for wear and tear, stains, etc. Bathroom could have been cleaner (shower head spray, base of toilet, mirrors)

The hotel itself was very nice. The front desk staff were very nice. The lobby/bar areas are beautifully decorated. We had a deluxe king room w/ a partial lake view. The room was surprisingly on the small side. I was looking for something larger considering this is a 4 star recently remodeled hotel. The bathroom was very small. The rain shower head was a plus. Disappointing that the mirror did not have magnifier or Led Lights. The worst part of our stay is the bed/mattress was HARD. It was the worst night sleep that we ever had. My husband woke up several times in the night and finally at 7am he said let's go home so he could sleep. So disappointing for an overnight stay and the good night sleep was not had.

All throughout the night running, loud noise , banging, and also no microwaves in hotel. I was missing towels . Housekeeping didn’t do a good job cleaning floor. Dusty and dirty in different areas of my room

We also booked a room with a king size bed, but the bed was most definitely a queen. Lastly, we were two adults and we only got 1 bath towel. We requested more towels, but none ever were brought up. We ended up having to share the one towel. All of these things left a sour taste and were were overall disappointed in the stay. Will choose another hotel next time.

It was the front desk gentleman Jermaine I believe his name was, he was absolutely fantastic!!! He really helped me make my ladies Valentine’s Day one to remember

Great breakfast options to choose from in the lobby cafe, not free but very reasonably priced. Bar staff, and especially the bar manager were very friendly and provided service above and beyond. Room with a balcony overlooking the lake was lovely. We will definitely be back.

AMAZINGGGGG! I went to celebrate my birthday and I could not have had a better time. The staff was amazing from my entry to check in, until check out. Everyone was kind, cordial and willing to help me. I will certainly make it routine practice to incorporate this hotel into my self care! I visited this time for my birthday and have been with them before for my birthday. I just might make them my host hotel for every birthday. I truly enjoyed myself and commend the staff for their high quality hospitality.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Lovely location. Restaurant had good food. But, ran out of wine as well as rudely kicked a bar full of patrons out rather early. Perhaps there’s a timeframe, but establishment lost lots of money that evening.

I didn’t have a balcony or anything close to it

I had several family members who flew in on the day of my wedding. The director of guest services and Jermaine offered my family an are in the hotel where they could change and freshen up! That's top tier customer service and it was greatly appreciated. Jermaine was very pleasant and continuously asked me if there was anything else he could do to help us out during the check out process. He definitely was there to help make things go smooth for me that day! If you are ever in the Columbia area and need a hotel who is going to care about the customer, do yourself a favor and stay here!!!

The front desk staff were helpful, although I wanted to update my room, it was a bit tough to get them to assist. The bartenders were great. The cafe was super limiting in its options. I drink decaf coffee. They only had drip, and they did not have any alternative milk options, which is not very common. We had breakfast the day of checkout. Sadly, the crab I ordered to be added to my omelet was spoiled. It smelled of ammonia, which is surprising coming from a property like this. The view of the lake was splendid though and the rooms were nice. The AC did sound like an airplane tho :)

Great architecture

Lake view and area to walk around the lake is amazing.

This was a staycation for my birthday with just me and my husband. We are long time Columbia residents and know the area . The property is very nice and King room with balcony was amazing. The only downfall was the restaurant service , we attempted to have my birthday dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Waited several minutes to be seated, never got a menu, water or anything. It seemed like one person was the only one waiting tables and she seemed flustered .We were trying to give them some leeway yet sat for 20 minutes . When she stood right by our table looked at us yet said nothing , and we still didnt have menus thats when we left and had dinner elsewhere. We did tell the front desk and she gave us a coupon for free breakfast for two . We did get breakfast yet once again it appeared like they were very short staffed and our breakfast took over 20 minutes to come . We came at a good time because the tables after us waited even longer . I would recommend that they work on hiring more staff for the restaurants .

Well appointed rooms and bath products. Inviting lobby area and walk up cafe. Restaurant was great for breakfast with quality and fast service.

The hotel is quite expensive. The reason being there’s nothing else nearby. They have some amenities but the room wasn’t sparkling clean or new.

Hotel was beautiful, very clean and in walking distance to the pavilion. Only downfall was the under staffing and poor service at the bar.

After the concert, one elevator was out and it was a little loud, but otherwise is was an excellent stay.

Overall it’s a nice place to stay, but the price doesn’t match the quality especially considering there is a Doubletree downtown for half the price.

I’m sorry, but a high-end hotel should offer feather pillows. For the half percent of people that have allergies to feathers your pillows were absolutely horrendous. Such a beautiful property but so completely uncomfortable to sleep. Do you want to be a high-end hotel offer high-end amenities, and one of those is a high-end feather pillow.

The food at Lak restaurant was amazing

The air conditioner kept us up all night. It shook the floor! There was a gross used adult toy left on the floor of the room by the trashcan.

This room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was amazing. View of the lake was incredible. We had a corner room so there was plenty of light. Using your key on the elevator helped make me feel safe. Cafe and bar on site was really nice. The room we ordered wasnt available before we arrived and they called to find out what which otger room met with our needs. Because of this they compted our breakfast. That was about a $40 comp! BTW: breakfast prepare by chef and service in a nice dining area. I would live to stay here again.

Great hotel. The ambience was amazing. The staff was both friendly and accommodating for an early check in. Additionally, the room was very clean and modern. The dining options were excellent and reasonably priced. I stayed here for a quick weekend trip and would definitely stay here again.

We ENJOYED our stay at the Merriweather Hotel!! The staff and service were AMAZING!! Especially Oscar, the shuttle chauffeur! His communication, vibe, personality, and service was 20/10!! Wr also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and our server was amazing along with the food! We were so happy with our stay and cannot wait to come back to visit!

Very clean very demure.

one negative, fire alarm caused all guests to evacuate around 10:30pm, we were let back in about 1 hour later, however there could have been better communication during evacuation and after.

Much improved over the Sheraton that formerly operated the hotel. Dining options were very good; newly renovated rooms were great. Liked the blue tile in the walkin shower

The property and the stay was great however I didn’t enjoy the food at the connected restaurant Lak. The menu was limited. Cocktail and dessert was very good entree was a waist of $35. Overall I would stay again but next time I’ll stick with an appetizer and a cocktail if I must eat at Lak

Hotel and lake area was beautiful. Open concept flooring meant lobby noise traveled up the floors and could be heard in our room on the 3rd floor. Staff were very friendly. Had to ask for extra towels frequently as they only leave 3 bath towels per room. Ice is by delivery only. Restaurant and bar had delicious offerings.

service. Management solution was ( free breakfast) we don’t eat breakfast. They told us to write a letter of complaint. That was the extent of their solution to the problem. This occurred Thursday August 22nd 2024 8:30pm.

I arrived at the hotel and was running late for a dinner reservation. The front desk team quickly and kindly got me checked in. The staff at this beautiful hotel are wonderful! Overall it was an awesome stay!

Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy.

We were not able to enjoy the outside / balcony was covered in bugs or anything near the lake or the pool. Bugs knats,mosquitoes was eating us alive! The lake was nothing to look at or enjoy with the stagnet water that drew the bugs close and green algae! I would not recommend!

Hotel was fine but nothing special. The room was clean and staff were courteous. The HVAC system was loud and there was no hot water for my shower.

I had a lake view from my room, which I really enjoyed. I didn’t have time to personally enjoy the lake because I was spending quality time with family in the area, however. I am DEFINITELY coming back to enjoy the lake…and the SHOPPING!

The hotel is updated, comfortable and the staff was very service oriented and friendly. The room was spotless, updated and had most of the amenities you could ask for. However, it would be nice to have access to ice without having to call the front desk. Overall, the experience was excellent. I would recommend it to others but that may cause availability issues. Selfishly trying to save space for me!
