The Broadmoor is a luxurious and historic hotel with beautiful grounds and a variety of amenities, including restaurants, bars, and a spa. Guests generally praise the hotel's attentive and friendly staff, as well as its elegant and well-maintained facilities. However, some guests have complained about the high prices, particularly for food and drinks, and the difficulty in making reservations for restaurants and other amenities. Additionally, some guests have noted that the hotel can be quite busy and chaotic, and that the service can suffer during peak times.

Beautiful. Rooms are large and well appointed. Restaurants are good, except at the pool, which is ok for young kids, but not adults. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is excellent. Very family friendly, including dogs. Extremely expensive.

It's The Broadmoor! A place truly like no other. World class, The Pinnacle, Heaven on Earth. Genuinely can't think of 1 thing I didn't like.

After enjoying my first stay at the Broadmoor, I can not imagine how it could have been any better, the staff, the cuisine, the facility, the atmosphere definitively exceeded every pre-visit expectation. I would like to specifically mention Ralph in reservations who worked with me to change and confirm my room reservation from one initially assigned in the Broadmoor West to one in the main building for which I am deeply appreciative. I look forward to my next stay at this amazing oasis. I am unable to think of a single negative that occurred during my stay - I found it perfect in every aspect, I only wished that my stay could have been longer.

Everything about our stay was top notch, just as expected. This is why we always return to the Broadmoor. We had an exceptional weekend stay.

Beautiful place great service
- 3/5
Trued 3 different restaurants, all with mediocre food and terrible service. Took over 7ins to get a burger and fries. When we finally got our food, fries were cold and hard. Clearly old. Not good enough for a $43 meal. Tried sliders in the hotel bar. Asked for well done. One order was served medium and the other order medium rate. Again took ages to get our good. Considering you are forced to tip 20% no matter how poor the service, it’s unacceptable from a hotel that’s at this price point. It has the cost of a high end hotel without the service or amenities. Very disappointing stay. Even with my love a history, it was disappointing.

Everything! The staff is just absolutely fantastic and always make guests feel welcomed and well cared for! Rooms are so comfortable and well appointed and always so much to do if you want to (or just relax). Restaurants were top notch and such a great variety of options. Concierge text option was also incredibly helpful It would be hard to find anything. I would only suggest hooks for towels need the shower but that is all!

This hotel is the best of the best. Our stay and treatment by the staff and management was superior. Our 30th Anniversary couldn’t have been better. Many celebrations have been at the Broadmoor over the years and we will continue to choose this hotel wherever possible.

This is a landmark hotel which offers a unique experience in a lovely setting. If you are at all fond of travel, you should make a special trip to The Broadmoor sometime in your life. And if you work for a company or association that can afford it, you should definitely recommend it for a conference or incentive tour. Some of the things I especially liked: Multiple restaurant options. Large, well-appointed rooms, all with views. Beautiful and impressive lobby areas (there are two main buildings, the West being newer and actually nicer in decor), decorated in a style that blends Grand Lodge with Luxury Glitz. Stunning collection of Western art that makes every corridor a joy to explore, and that includes originals by Bierstadt, Remington, and Parrish. It’s also a thrill to think so many famous people have stayed here. So why the 7/10? I am a professional hotelier and restaurateur, developer and owner of a 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa.” I’ve stayed in numerous luxury resorts and city hotels around the world in the same price range as The Broadmoor, including some which are even more unique (Huka Lodge in New Zealand, Blue Lagoon in Iceland), so I’m reasonably qualified as a judge of hotel quality and operations at this level. These comments are addressed to the hotel’s owners and top managers, in case they don’t have mystery shoppers. One. Food & Beverage is amateurish, not up to the level of the hotel infrastructure. Look for my Google maps reviews of breakfast at the Lake Terrace Dining room, dinners at Ristorante del Lago and the Penrose Room. La Taverne was okay, food-wise. Two. Staff demeanor is too variable. Some are warm, some deferential, some warm until you’ve signed for the tip, some cool and indifferent, some cool bordering on dismissive. With 750 rooms, I understand that it’s a struggle to maintain a consistent staff “culture”, but it doesn’t look as if Training has even made an effort. Three. Penny-pinching. Nickel-and-diming. Small room defects not attended to. Towels under-sized for this luxury level. None of the table lamps in La Taverne are functioning but are left on the table (as decor?). First hotel I’ve ever been in that charged me for accepting Amazon deliveries (each). First hotel I’ve ever been in that charges a mandatory 20% tip at restaurants, which suggests a lack of faith that the type of guests the hotel attracts will tip fairly by American standards.

Was a great place to stay - totally enjoyed .

Cleanliness, excellent service, grounds were magical

My only complaint was I had scheduled a pre-natal massage and there was some confusion about the time. I had written down a half hour later than what they had in their schedule. However I never received a confirmation call or e-mail, which may have avoided the confusion. I only received a phone call at the time they had the massage scheduled to begin. Luckily I arrived in time of them to rush me through the process, but it wasn't very enjoyable, and hard to rush 35 weeks pregnant! Even without the confusion the massage was a bit awkward. The spa otherwise is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the golf course.

Just heaven on earth. This place is truly magical.

The hotel is a fantastic resort - the grounds are immaculate, the service is first class, and the food is very good. It is expensive - every activity, meal, and even parking is pricy.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and courteous. The entire hotel was very clean and kept. There's plenty to do in the hotel itself, but quite a few activities nearby as well (Pikes peak, Manitou Cliff dwellings, Seven falls). The resort has shuttles that can take you to nearby places. All the restaurants offer great food and drinks. Overall, it was a wonderful experience

The Broadmoor is as close to a perfect lodging experience as it gets. The property is meticulously maintained and the rooms are exquisite. Combine with over-the-top service, we enjoyed an unparalleled experience.

A stunning hotel with beautiful outdoor spaces and a variety of dining options, including a scenic lakefront bar that stays open late. While the experience is exceptional, be prepared for premium pricing. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during spring break, which was a disappointment for my kids.

One of the most amazing resorts I've stayed at in the U.S., great service, wonderful room but way overpriced. Paid over $400 per night for the room which did not include a daily resort fee of nearly $50. Dinner cost nearly $150 and breakfast, two coffees and two croissants cost nearly $40. Parking also was not included in the $400 per night room charges. We make a comfortable living but would rather spend my money elsewhere. Won't be coming back.
- 3/5
Wonderful property. Recommendation: avoid checking in at 4 PM. 20 minutes in line to get to the valet, another 20 in line to check in.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Great place.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful place! We love everything about it! Great place for families to explore.
- 4/5
I would advise you to book directly with The Broadmoor. Our room overlooked dumpsters and had furiously barking dogs directly across the hall.I think you might fare better working with the resort for better accommodations. The Broadmoor is a lovely property and the staff is great. It was not my first visit and will not be my last, but I will not stay in building 2100 again.
- 5/5
A true 5* resort, expensive as hell but you get quality! Never did I hear”No” we can’t do that! An experience of trading and excellence 😄😄😄❤️

Beautiful! Staff was Great. 🎄🎄

This is a five star property and one of the best resorts in the world. I come here a lot because it’s fantastic.

We celebrated our anniversary at The Broadmoor and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We felt pampered everywhere we went. Had an amazing couples massage at the beautiful spa, and dinner and brunch reservations as well. Everything was top notch. Hope to be back soon

- 5/5
Beautiful five star property. Everything was beyond our expectations.
- 5/5
An excellent to relax, walk and unwind. A must for any traveler who loves historic hotels with exceptional service.
- 3/5
Took almost 40 min to find my hotel registration.
- 5/5
LOVED IT
- 4/5
We understand the resort fees, but additional property fees seemed redundant? I think it might be less frustrating to just join the fees into one (yes, the large sum might be shocking, but multiple line items don’t help either). Also, the pickle ball equipment & indoor courts are not included with the resort fee, so bring your own & play outside! Otherwise a very lovely resort that never fails to impress.
- 5/5
A first class hotel that works to maintain their reputation

- 5/5
The best
- 5/5
Grounds were incredible!!! Restaurants were incredible!!! Rooms were big and nice Walking trails, bowling, shopping, multiple bars on property... Just so much fun stuff to do. Cons: Parking was difficult/expensive Food and Drinks were over priced (Las Vegas Prices) for the area. Pool area was closed in October, I understand closing the pool, but let us walk around the walking trails and bridges over by the beautiful pool.
- 5/5
Absolutely beyond amazing!! layers of hospitality!! Hands down the best!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a magnificent setting with incredible staff!

Beautiful resort with fine furnishings, helpful staff, and a walkable distance to the property's restaurants and spa
- 4/5
My stay was good, sometimes the people were over friend;ly. I came to get away.
- 5/5
It was a amazing, comfortable, pleasant, and wonderful all in one. We we’re floored with the hospitable services, and felt like royalties on a budget! I’m glad we chose this hotel experience.
- 5/5
Beautiful surrounding views at the foothills of the mountains, including the famous 14er, the Pikes Peak. Several high quality restaurants located on the property with good food and professional services. Hotel room are super clean, which has a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The history tour about the hotel is very interesting and educational. The movie theater is a nice place to enjoy a movie after the dinner at hotel. Playing golf is another wonderful experience that has very scenic views with surrounding mountains and beautiful design and well maintained landscape.
- 5/5
It was amazing! Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at.
- 5/5
Fabulous getaway, beautiful scenery, delightful food, & wonderful staff! Recommend it to everyone.
- 2/5
This stay was garbage, especially considering how expensive it is to stay there. NEVER go in winter. All the restaurants were closed, the shops close when you’re supposed to check in and the rooms look like they need serious renovation. The shower door didn’t close all the way so the floors got soaked, and you have to ORDER items for the mini bar. NONE are provided for you, any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at has items at the mini bar or in the fridge if the room had one. Over $1200 for this room for a night and you can’t stock the mini bar!? Or the fridge? This place was cool to go to in the 90’s to 2010. Now, it’s an outdated, over hyped, and extremely underwhelming place to stay. We won’t be staying here again unless it’s summer and we’ve checked ahead that everything is actually open.
- 5/5
truly amazing
- 4/5
There are too many dogs. I’m not a dog person and I was disgusted with all of them. Too much. Also the price of everything is outrageous!
- 5/5
It was better than we could have imagined. We have lived here most of our lives, and never had the opportunity to stay until now. Beautifully decorated for the holidays, all staff is so very friendly and helpful. Easy to see why they are so renowned.
- 3/5
I have stayed here many many times over the past 30 years and I always seem to get the same buildings on the outskirts of the resort. I am a return customer in fact I got married here in the late 1990’s. I would think I would get a room in one of the main buildings.
- 3/5
friendly staff
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds, gorgeous room with a view, exceptional customer service and delicious food. We will be back. Thank you for treating us like royalty!!
- 5/5
I like the friendliness of all the staff.
- 5/5
Nice to be back at the Broadmoor. We have a long history with the property
- 5/5
The Broadmoor is just lovely. You feel welcomed upon arrival. We stayed in the main tower and had a corner room in the front but also had another window that gave us a glimpse of the lake. We ate at the Italian restaurant the first night and Meghan our waitress was amazing. She knew it was our anniversary and treated us very special. The next time we are at The Summit but would not recommend it. The food wasn’t good and it was too cold and loud. Next time we need to stay in the summer so we can take advantage of all the amenities with the pools and all.
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Broadmoor before. Every time we stay service out does itself. One word IMPECCABLE!! We were here for a family event. Most of the family stayed here also. Shout out to Mr. Davidson and Hannah!! Also Cristobol at The Summit. Excellent dinner!!
- 5/5
The service was exceptional.
- 4/5
Magnificent physical setting. Room was spacious and beautifully furnished.
- 5/5
Can’t beat it and the things to do - we love an active vacation following by relaxation- this place is perfect.
- 5/5
One of the world’s great resorts. Always wonderful
- 1/5
We paid $800 for a room that was overlooking the carport at the entrance to the back building. One of the phones in the room was not working and the alarm clock was several hours off. When we went to the pool we ordered the frozen grapes for hefty sum and when they arrived they were luke warm at best. We told the waitress (Zoe) and she apologized and said she would bring back frozen grapes. This never happened and the grapes were still on the bill. At dinner, our waiter (Steve) was often nowhere to be found and we had to ask someone to find our waiter no fewer than three times. I could not believe the level of service considering the room prices. The property itself is gorgeous, but certainly would not rush back.
- 3/5
The food was horrible. The hotel and the hotel grounds are amazing.
- 5/5
The view and beauty of the property was unique. The staff was very helpful and plesant.

staff Service is simply the best.
- 5/5
The property is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is so polite and friendly and helpful. The food is great and so are the drinks. Plenty of dining options, and beautiful grounds to simply walk and enjoy! Many activities for even the kids plus it is pet friendly!
- 5/5
Celebrated my wife’s birthday and it was a wonderful experience! Awesome staff and property! Definitely will do it again😁
- 2/5
Extremely packed and chaotic. Tried to make spa and dinner reservations ahead of our stay but couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone or emails, and everything was booked when we arrived. Very disappointing considering how much we paid for the room and we could not take advantage of many of the amenities.

It’s a-spicy meatball
