Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the central location, complimentary breakfast, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated rooms, maintenance issues, and lack of proper staffing at the front desk.
- Central location
- Complimentary breakfast with many offerings
- Outdated rooms and furniture
- Maintenance issues such as broken elevators and plumbing
- 5/5
This is an excellent hotel, my daughter and I had a fantastic stay with our dogs.
- 2/5
Breakfast people yelling at each other, rooms disgusting and dirty(used bar soap left in shower) food and trash on floor and under bed. Lightbulbs out and basic maintenance non existent. Seems as though the restaurant is closed now too. Floors in hallways are gross and the stairwell smells of urine.
- 5/5
Breakfast was nice. There was a coin-operated washer and dryer which was very handy. The television did not work and they said if it could not be fixed by tomorrow we would have a brand new room. They did give us a new room the next day. We also were happy to get the new room because it was not as noisy. The previous room was very loud because it was located close to the pool.

We use to stay here as the staff, facilities and breakfast were amazing. I will not be staying here again ever. The experience was awful. Staff was rude, no breakfast and CHARGE FOR OMELETTES now. Ridiculous and pathetic. It use to be 100 a night with amazing amenities whish is why we ALWAYS stayed here. Never again for us.
- 4/5
Nice enough hotel, Didn't have breakfast as the weekend start time was 7:00am
- 4/5
I have been to quite a few hotels over the years. This was, by far, the best breakfast I've had. The price to stay was decent. The rooms do need some updating, most hotels do. The staff was very friendly and helpful with your questions. But breakfast was the best. Traveling with a teenage boy and it was enough to fill him up. A nice variety for me. Really a decent place to stay.

We did not have a good experience. Overpriced and underperformed
- 2/5
There were stains on everything that can be stained - towels, carpet, chairs, wallpaper, any and all upholstered trim, somehow even the ceiling. Decorative soft trim in the room was frayed, separating and falling down, retracting blinds were torn, broken and crooked, a/c unit and ventilation ducts were full of dust and couldn't keep up with the heat outside. Oh, and there's one single elevator for the entire facility, and some parking areas only have stair access to the hotel. It's an accessibility nightmare... Don't be fooled by the photos like I was, I really considered just eating the cost and finding a different hotel for the night.

I love the 1970's vibe. Everything is very open. The breakfast buffet is very good. I wish it didn't feel like the original dirt from the 1970's our room was beyond filthy. The full length mirror & TV hadn't been dusted in at least a week & those were the two cleanest things. It's too bad we stayed there about 10 years ago and it was a much different experience, that's why we came back. We remembered it from 10 years ago. Now we will remember it for different reasons.

Room was clean, quiet, nice amenities like a handheld shower. The hallway could use some updating, not as clean as the room. TV/cable was kind of weird and hard to navigate but didn't use it much anyway.

Close to the freeway and attractions. Indoor pool. Very loud lobby.

This hotel is by far the worst we have ever been in, and we have stayed at many hotels. To start off it took 3 times asking for a rollaway bed, and we finally got it around 9:30 at night. It took 2 days/4 times mentioning to the staff to possibly get our room cleaned, but after the 4th time we just had to switch rooms because it was past 10pm and still hadn’t been cleaned. This hotel is extremely run down and not taken care of at all. The carpets look like they have never been vacuumed, everything looks very dirty, and the air vent in our first bathroom was just a hole in the wall with a vent covering it and had no duct work. The AC filter was filthy and we had to clean it to have any cool air blowing out of it. We even went to the desk to ask for a box fan and was told they didn’t have any, but if we wanted to run to the nearby Walmart and get o e they closed in 15 minutes. Stay clear of this hotel, pay a few hundred more and go to a branded hotel. I can’t express how horrible this hotel is and how run down EVERYTHING is. From the exterior to the interior, it is all a hot mess. The breakfast was horrible, and out of 5 mornings we only ate breakfast twice, once on our first morning, then the 2nd just to make sure it wasn’t just a one off, only to have a horrible breakfast again. Don’t waste your money on this hotel, stay clear. The bad reviews you have seen are all truth, trust what others have said. THIS IS A HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!!
- 3/5
The room's carpet needed cleaning and the shower curtain was ripped at the top in a few places. Our mattress should be replaced as it really sagged to the middle. The bathroom sink faucet showed signs of significant wear. Overall, the room could use some upgrade/remodeling.
- 2/5
The staff at front desk was very nice and accommodating, but I should not have had to ask to clean a fresh room!!
- 3/5
Check in was understaffed and the internet was terrible.
- 4/5
Smokey room in a non smoking facility. Had to go buy air freshener before we could sleep.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, clean room, responsive hotel staff. Comfortable lobby & amenities. Gym, pool and game room.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 1/5
I liked that there was an elevator to our floor, and the beds were comfortable. There was mold in the bathroom, the tub did not drain when using the shower, the bathroom floor needed to be mopped, the laundry was up stairs above an exterior door that people stepped out to smoke and the smell was all over the hallways. The washing machine leaked and there was moldy/slimy green water under the folding table. The breakfast was ok but there wasn’t ever enough. No milk for cereal even when they were asked. Before end time. They had people cleaning tables and made it feel like we needed to tip. The pool was dirty.
- 3/5
Desayuno regular, no muy bueno. Los productos se acaban rápido y no abastecen el servicio con rapidez. En nuestro caso decidimos no desayunar en la estancia y buscar afuera otras opciones.
- 5/5
We liked the beautiful plants, many tables on different levels for eating breakfast, and the helpful and courteous staff!

We enjoyed the variety of options for breakfast!! The whole family found something to eat and staff were timely with replenishing the food. Coffee and tea bar were great too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a plumbing issue upon arrival and they took care of it immediately :)
- 1/5
I’ve called twice and can’t get a manager to remedy the issue because the front desk clerk says she doesn’t know the manager’s number and not allowed to tell me her name. Do not stay here! Three other families had issues with their check in for the one hour I was there.

Location is great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. No issues.

We stayed at this dump for three nights. The filth began the moment we walked into the lobby to check in, as there was trash in front of the front door that we had to step over,, and overflowing trash can outside the front entrance, and a trail of trash from the front entrance to the check-in desk...and yet more all the way to the elevators. The worst thing however, was that they never cleaned our room, or changed towels for the entire three day stay...despite us asking multiple times over two days to have the room cleaned. Now if it was just them not making the beds every day...as some hotels do...that's no big deal. But we had two adults and two kids in one room, and one child has special needs (Uses catheters, etc), so our trash cans quickly overflowed and towels needed changed. I asked twice each day (In the morning and at lunchtime) to have our room cleaned...and it never was. There was also no night manager on the premises when I asked to speak to one. When I did finally get to speak to a manager, she was rude and unhelpful, and made no effort to make the situation right. The facility is very delipidated and our room also had mold, broken hangers, torn and damaged window blinds. The carpeting throughout the hotel is filthy and stained. The pool also had unknown material floating in it. The breakfast is also lousy. Definitely give this place a pass as there are better options available. .

The accommodation was billed 3 times, though we were assured this would be fixed immediately - 24 hours later we are still waiting to see the money in our account ! The restaurant could only offer 7 out of about 30 items on the menu! Apparently they were changing their menu, but in a very unprofessional way ! We chose the hamburger, it took forever to arrive at the table, even though we were the only customers. The burger was tough and very dry and I had to ASK for some sauce !! We should have been offered the meal for free !!! In fact we were overcharged for the evening meal, and reception confirmed that the restsurant always overcharged, and then refunded the overcharge. Still waiting........ The first thing we heard early this morning was a dog barking and barking and children screaming. The only positive thing about our stay was that the beds were comfortable ! This was NOT what we were expecting and not of the professional standard we are accustomed to. Oh, and we are STILL WAITING for the refunds.
- 3/5
Rooms weren’t the cleanest, ran out of towels, hotel staff was nice
- 4/5
Hotel restaurant was mediocre at best. Not with the money. Should have walked down to the nearby restaurants. Staff was lovely just food was not
- 4/5
Fantastic location to I-25 and lots of restaurants and shopping! Very convenient!! Nice have breakfast buffet daily!
- 4/5
Great employees and nice buffet breakfast.
- 2/5
There is a pleasant veneer to this hotel that fails to cover up inattentive cleaning and service. It was a disappointing place where the photos and reviews were much better than reality. We wondered if there was a new management that was cutting back on services and staff.
- 4/5
The lobby and common areas are much newer than the rooms. The rooms are older and show some wear. Our first room had a loud A/C unit and a very soft bed. We requested a different room for the second night, and we were accommodated with no issue at all. The second room was great. Breakfast buffet is great, as is the staff.
- 2/5
We have stayed at this Hotel for years, because of the Breakfast, but now if you want a omelette they charge you $6.99 , we do not eat there powdered eggs or fake meat, so if we have to pay for Breakfast we will just stay somewhere else. So Sad.
- 3/5
Sink in bathroom was clogged and never corrected even after several requests. Cold showers
- 2/5
The hotel staff is outstanding!! The hotel needs a MAJOR renovation! Excellent location. Lots of families, so the free breakfast was great for them.
- 4/5
We didn’t use the pool, the water was cloudy, but lots of people did use it. The hallways were hot. But you didn’t stay in hallway too long. We would stay there again but would ask for someone to take a look at the a/c if we weren’t comfortable.
- 4/5
I had a pleasant stay.
- 2/5
What is up with the good reviews? We were misled. Our first room had tattered window shades that did not work. Our second room had a poor air conditioner and amps with dead light bulbs. We asked for the room to be cleaned at least 6 times. It never hit cleaned and each request was met with either an apology or a non recognition that we asked. The bartender seemed oblivious to making drinks. The lobby was dirty and the couches in the lobby were stained. The veneer on the furniture in the room was chipped in multiple places. We asked for soap and couldn’t get it. None of this is an exaggeration. The only reason I give this 2 stars rather than 1 is because the very young staff was understaffed and there was a good bed with sheets that were unfortunately too short and came off the bed in the middle of the night. If I had the energy, I would ask for a refund. Yet, I believe I would simply receive the blanks looks we got for making basic requests like for room cleaning and soap. This hotel looks like a relic from the 70’s that’s never been redone and is a few years from going down.
- 3/5
It was a very busy weekend for the hotel, and it showed with overflowing trash cans inside and outside. Our room wasn't vacuumed thoroughly, but the rest of it was clean. The hot food at breakfast was excellent. The only thing missing was some yogurt and fresh fruit other than oranges.
- 5/5
Great place! Beautiful! Great breakfast in the morning
- 2/5
Breakfast good
- 4/5
Tub was clogged other than that it was nice
- 5/5
Stayed here for two night solo on a country motorcycle wander. Great value for the money. Room was spacious and very clean. Comfy beds, pillows and blankets. Good towels. WiFi was a little slow at the end where I was, but my AT&T 5G was zinging. All of the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful, especially the gals at the front desk. I like that it is a hotel and everything is inside once you’re in. Nice indoor pool. Restaurant and a small store. I used their laundry machines and they were spotless clean…I am super about washing clothes. I found a nice place to park my bike out of the wind and sight. Walmart and Whole Foods are easily walkable. 10+ GOOD restaurants in the very close area. This was my second time here and I’d stay here again.
- 4/5
Our room was good sized and the bed was comfortable. Convenient location. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included but was a bit underwhelming. They had an omelet bar, but that was extra. We were there about 20 minutes after the start and several items were mostly empty. They were refilled within 5-10 minutes. Acceptable, but not above average.
- 1/5
I like the ambience of the lobby, and the pool area.
- 2/5
I would sleep in my car first.
- 5/5
The hotel was well maintained
- 5/5
3rd time here, still a great stay
- 4/5
Outside card readers to let you in the building were damaged & not working correctly. Close to shops & restaurants. A very nice place to stay. I highly recomend
- 3/5
My room was pretty dingy as were the hallways
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing was the tub doesn’t have anything there to keep you from slipping. Also the restaurant isn’t open it a few days a week now.
- 2/5
Leaky sink, heater didn't work, refrigerator made noise all night. Looked dirty.

This room was ok except the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There was poop on the toilet bowl and there was hair in dust bunnies (rabbits!) all along the edges of the bathroom floor. Gross! The hotel is old and it shows. Everything in the main hotel areas was worn out and filthy. Additionally, even though we were there 4 nights, our room was not serviced until the last day. Even though I asked multiple times for daily maid service, and was assured it would be done, it was not. I can’t speak to the breakfast, since I didn’t eat there. Overall, this was a HUGE disappointment and I would NEVER stay there again, nor would I recommend it.
- 1/5
I stayed here for 4 years and this time the hotel really was showing signs of run down and no one care anymore. Receptionist was rude. Breakfast was the same every day! How disappointing considering the extra pay for breakfast. My sink didn't drain. Floor in dining area was sticky. I won't be back.
- 3/5
We have stayed at the academy hotel many times over the years and it used to be, hands down, the best place to stay in C.S. However, under new ownership, the quality of everything has gone down hill!! If you've stayed here before April 2026 and are planning another trip, lower expectations, because it is nothing like it used to be!
- 3/5
The stay was okay because the Wi-Fi didn’t work so well. And the next morning they ran out of food, but the overall stay was good, as I had a good night sleep!
- 2/5
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the interaction I had with a cook named Esther. During the free breakfast buffet, I wanted to get my son a plate and a young gentleman told me he had to speak with his manager, because he told me that whoever is eating they have to be downstairs. Also, side note you have to check in for the breakfast buffet. I've never been to a hotel that you had to check in for the free breakfast buffet. Esther comes and stated that it was policy that you couldn't eat in your room and that they didn't want bugs. I do want to mention I was asking for a paper plate. I didnt even argue with Esther because she wasn't a manager and it's not worth arguing with a racist. With all this being said, I will NEVER come back to this hotel and she ruined it for me. Everyone else was kind and so helpful and I truly appreciate that. However, one person can ruin it for all. This happened on Monday June 1st around 630AM.
- 3/5
The property is run down and not as clean as it should be. The atrium with all the live plants is still nice, but the rest of the place needs a major facelift. The best feature of the Academy, its made to order omelette station, now costs an additional $6.99. Someone needs to invest in the place and bring it back to its former standard.
- 3/5
I thought it would have been nicer. Next trip out I will pick another hotel.
- 5/5
We enjoyed a homelike experience. Staff was incredibly polite, helpful and laid back. It's was memorial Day weekend so it was quite busy. The decor is absolutely amazing; but at the same time the entire pool area courtyard needs a cleaning. The trees real and artificial have collected Alot of dust. It's kind of like a timeless setting from the early 90's. Breakfast was fresh and well delicious!
- 5/5
This is an older hotel but has a lot of character and the breakfast was great !
- 5/5
Kids enjoyed
- 5/5
Great place and great location!!
- 2/5
Arrived for a 4 night stay for a graduation & wedding with family we had 4 different rooms. They advertised the restaurant on property convenience we went with cuz my dad is 91 but restaurant didn't serve dinner they were only open to serve appetizers very inconvenient. Breakfast on the first morning was awful sausage was overcooked, cranberry juice was out. 2nd morning breakfast french toast was great. My daughter's room had a foul smell to it they said no more rooms the first night. Took til the third day to get a different room. All in all it was convenient to the academy where the graduation & wedding took place.
- 5/5
Great staff! Very accommodating and friendly.
- 1/5
Shower wasn’t draining, bathroom was very dirty. Coffee maker was terrible, took forever to heat up and pushed out grounds (Keurig). Bulb out in bathroom, hair on bathroom floor. Housekeeping tried to come in our room at 9:30am, checkout is 11am. Walls are very thin, could hear adjacent room occupants talking, coughing, etc.
- 5/5
We definitely go back. And very recommendable.
- 1/5
Booked this hotel thru Expedia. When I got there they were over booked so after I paid I didn’t even have a room. Now jumping thru hoops just trying to get my money back. Apparently it has to be approved by the hotel owner but it’s been over a week and still won’t get back to me
- 5/5
Great services
- 2/5
The staff was nice. The rest was bad. This place has new owners and they are making huge cuts to a place I have been going to 3-4 times a year for last few years. They no longer have a great breakfast. It’s cold, and you have to wait for them to replace trays. Omelettes are now charged and no longer fresh like before. They stopped dinners in the bar and only serve hamburgers ,nuggets and alcohol. The pool is dirty, can’t see a foot into it and there is never towels. The beautiful plants that brought great atmosphere are dying and no longer being cared for. Leaves are falling off of them everywhere and they are droopy. This was once a great family hotel and now the new owners are making cuts that I feel will eventually have the loyal people look elsewhere. It’s sad to see such a great place on its way to being a motel6
- 3/5
Internet has always been an issue there for past 5 years and pool was very cloudy and can’t even see the bottom in shallow water.
- 2/5
Room key card was broken for half of our 5 day stay. Had to wait at the front desk to be let in by a staff member each time we left the room. Elevator broken for 2 out of 5 days.
- 2/5
The only bright spots for this hotel are the location and some of the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is very dirty and badly maintained. The breakfast wasnt good and you have to pay extra for an omelet. There are other hotels with great locations that are cleaner and better maintained.
- 4/5
Property was clean. Had microwave and mini fridge.
- 3/5
Rooms were really run down. The mattresses were good. It could be a really nice place if cleaned up and properly staffed.
- 5/5
Very great room great pool we had a lot of fun nice breakfast
- 5/5
Wonderful!!! Whole staff was awesome and very friendly!!!
- 3/5
The pictures definitely make it look nicer than it is. It was relatively clean, but not well maintained. Breakfast was very good, but a bit of a cluster. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. There are better places out there!
- 2/5
If one just finished camping for 2 weeks this would be a slight upgrade.
- 5/5
Although it was an older hotel, it seemed to be managed well. Our stay was very pleasant and we would stay there again if ever in the area. Breakfast was fantastic!

Me cancelaron mi reservación fue frustrante

I enjoyed my stay at the Academy hotel in Colorado springs the staff where amazing. I would stay there again.

Great room
- 1/5
We had a horrible experience at this hotel. The entire hotel was filthy - I didn't dare go in the pool which was cloudy and murky. The elevator didn't work so we had to drag our luggage up the stairwell. We were locked out of our room the first night and had to stand in line for 30 min for someone to come and unlock our door. The next 2 days our door didn't lock and we had to leave it open while we left for the day with all of our valuables in it. This is unacceptable! When you pay for a hotel room you expect that it will be locked and secure. There was no management on staff and the staff that was there acted like it was not a big deal. We tried to complain and get compensated for a unacceptable experience and they said we would have to contact Expedia because no one there could do anything for us. I travel all the time and I have never had such a bad experience and poor customer service. Do not stay at this hotel!
- 4/5
It was a good hotel nothing crazy but nothing bad either.
- 1/5
I have stayed at The Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs many times over the years and always had good experiences. This stay on May 23, 2026 was extremely disappointing. The property was not well maintained. Outside trash cans were overflowing, common areas were dirty, and hallways had stains and trash bags left out. Our room was mostly clean but had sheets with visible holes, which is unacceptable for the price. The most serious issue was safety. Our room door would not reliably lock due to key card system failures, and other guests had the same issue and were guarding their rooms. The bar food and service were good, but the breakfast was horrible and a major downgrade from past stays. The hotel appeared severely understaffed and poorly managed. At checkout I requested to speak with management about the safety issue and asked for a partial refund but never received a follow-up. 1 star only because Carolyn at the front desk stayed professional and handled a very difficult situation well.

I would not recommend
- 4/5
good for an old motel
- 3/5
Good hotel but lack of helpful, personable staff.
- 1/5
So far my worst experience in a Hotel. From the point that we arrived it was a nightmare to check in the system was down and they didn’t know what to do.. after 3 hrs waiting they finally figured out and started checking in people, the first room they gave me it was already occupied, the second one it was only one bed which I had reserved a 2 bed, after a few tries and ended up just putting us on a run that didn’t look at all at what I had reserved but a 2 bed, I complained to a very rude supervisor about it and he said they were all the same.. also the room wasn’t looking and we felt very unsafe leaving our things at the hotel so we had to take our things every time we go out..also the room was dirty stains on the carpet dirty, dirty bathroom and the tv never got it to work but at this point I was done with them.. every time I asked they just said we will take care of it but they never did.. I wanted to just got out of there but They said that I would lose my money that they were no refunds.. on the day before my check out day they closed the pool because It was very dirty and people kept complaining about it.. at that point I was done and I just checked out.. Please never stayed at this hotel is very poor manage and dirty and the staff is very rude.. it was a nightmare for the room I got I really over paid.
- 3/5
We've stayed at The Academy Hotel over a dozen times in the past (usually for two-day visits with family) but this stay was our last. No single event led to this decision. It's just that the hotel desperately needs a major update: carpets are badly worn and appear dirty, the blinds in our room were torn and falling apart, the restaurant was closed by 9:15 for breakfast and wasn't open at all in the early evening - and the ambiance just seems dark and gloomy. The positives were: 1) the front-desk staff were very friendly and check-in was easy, 2) there's plenty of parking and 3) the pool (which we don't use) seems to be popular with kids. We've witnessed a general decline in the overall condition of this property during our most recent visits and have chosen to ignore them; however, it really doesn't feel good to stay at The Academy Hotel any more.
- 2/5
The toilet would not flush, the bathtub would not drain. upon arrival the elevators were all out of order (they resumed service the next morning, but then failed again the next day). On the second day the entire hotel card-key system went down, leaving a lobby full of guests that could not check in or enter their rooms for several hours. I've asked for a full or at least partial refund, but have not heard back from Expedia or the hotel.
- 4/5
Great property. Tad dated in rooms. Great breakfast
- 2/5
The property was dirty and old, not like they showed in the pictures. The elevators were broke on the tower never got room service in the four days we were there. They were short on staff.
- 2/5
The elevator was broken 3 of the 4 days we were there. We were on the 4th floor! We were all locked out of our rooms. They were very short staffed.
- 2/5
Liked the plants and the couches in the lobby. The breakfast was good but ran out of several items and the service to replenish was slow. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor . Above and beyond everything else the hotel room doors did not lock and they didn’t do anything for a long time (day). This is completely unacceptable! Wouldn’t recommend or return!
- 1/5
The hotel has two towers. The two-story tower does not have an elevator at all, and the four-story tower had an elevator that was broken most of the time during our stay. We were placed on the fourth floor, which made this a major inconvenience. The hotel was dirty throughout our entire stay, and our room was never cleaned once during a five-night visit. The overall condition of the property was very poor. The paint and repairs looked sloppy and unprofessional, as if no real care had been taken in maintaining the building. There were also serious operational issues. At one point, the entire electronic key card system stopped working, leaving guests locked out of their rooms for hours. We also saw guests arrive only to be told their reservation was not available. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Be cautious of perfect 10/10 reviews, because they do not match the reality of this property. This hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, unreliable, and completely unacceptable for a multi-night stay.
- 2/5
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Academy Hotel for a number of reasons. No elevator in the building where my room was!! Isn't this against the disability law??!! We had to lug our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. You advertise a "complimentary" breakfast, but to have waffles, it cost $6.99. How is that complimentary??? Also, the utensils were plastic for the "complimentary" breakfast. How cheap can you get?? Also, that is such a waste, and bad for the environment! Use real silverware! The room fixtures seemed outdated to me. You need to update the decor. Also, there was a clear sign of a trail of dog urine in the rug outside of my bedroom of this "pet friendly" hotel. Another thing was that when we returned to the hotel around 10:00 p.m., our key cards did not work. A custodian or maintenance man who just so happened to be walking by inside saw us. He, too, tried our key cards, and they did not work for him either. He let us in. When we inquired at the front desk about our keycards not working, the woman at the front desk said. "Oh, that happens all the time. Whomever is programming the key cards, is not programming it for the correct number of nights you are staying at the hotel." THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE !! What if we returned at 2:00 a.m. and our key cards did not work, and there was no maintenance man who was around?? We could have been mugged!! Also, the entrance to the front of the hotel is very bland and dark. Not welcoming at all!

I paid for a window view, so I can see the mountains, but it was kind of difficult when the windows were completely dirty. When we try to get something to eat, the chef was not available. Every year this place seems to be disintegrating.but it’s ok. I guess.
- 1/5
The elevator doesn’t work at this hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The stairs are just cement stairs so a bit unsafe looking. The main 1st floor guest bathroom all stalls were out of toilet paper and when mentioned they said it’s been out for over a week. The rooms were semi clean, but had a stale smell and were run down. The pool had no lights on. Breakfast was given a paper plate after needing to give name and room number. Breakfast was bland and another customer had asked for a new batch of eggs to be made. Overall stay was so so, but in dire need of a refresher.
- 1/5
The elevator was broke - okay, things happen. After bringing our luggage up four flights of stairs, we got to our hot room. The A/C wasn’t working properly and the toilet was not flushing. We tried several times to call down, but nobody would answer the phone. After an email, they basically said tough. No discounts, no refunds, not even a sorry. We won’t be back.
- 2/5
Pool towels are super small and scratchy. They also run out and will not replace them so I suggest bringing your own. Also housekeeping was not good. I had to call multiple times for extra towel and our room and trash was not attended to the entire 4 night stay. Other rooms were putting trash in the hallway and we ended up doing the same. It stayed there for quite some time. I do not recommend staying here as a family.
- 1/5
we were put in the wrong room 2 times. elevators were not working while we were there, had to walk up and down 4 flights of steps every time we left or came back. they had a massive issue with key cards, lots of people were locked out of their rooms including us. we were given a master key card to go in our room, but the woman who gave us the master key did not even ask our name or our room number, huge security issue. how many people did they give access to every room in the building? there was no toilet paper or hand soap in the lobby bathroom for 2 days straight which was obviously a problem when i was locked out of my room and had to use the bathroom. more petty, but still a problem, the tv didn’t work in our room. there was a woman in the lobby complaining that she was standing there for 2 hours waiting for help. and another woman said she was given keys to a room to check in, and someone was still staying in that room. property claims they had 10 housekeepers quit and walk out, all in 1 day, but that doesn’t explain or justify all the issues they had. also, how bad of a company do you have to be to have 10 people walk out at once? terrible experience.
- 2/5
I was disappointed when I finally was able to check in that there was no acknowledgement or even an explanation for what the problem was or how they intended to compensate me for the situation. I will not be back to this property the next time I attend a concert at Ford Amphitheatre.
- 2/5
The saving grace was that the breakfast was good and the bar in the evening had really good drinks.
- 1/5
The service at the hotel was terrible. It took us over 30 minutes to check in with such a long line. We were given a dingy unpleasant loud room. We couldn't switch because it would have meant waiting another 30-40 minutes to speak with someone. We finally managed to speak to the front desk the next morning and we're assigned a new room but we had to wait for until check in time (so had no room during the day). To re-check in that evening, we had to wait in another long line to pick up the new keys. We got to the room at 5pm and it was not made up. We decided to leave the hotel- the front desk staff said we would not be charged but only gave us a handwritten note. Of course we were never refunded. It was an awful experience. Poor customer service, never given our refund, dingy outdated rooms. Stay away!
- 3/5
They seemed very short staffed. No new towels or anything for our room. Never even came by. 5 days. Breakfast was so so. Could have been hotter. Terri was great in the breakfast area. They ran out of food a few days. Poor management? Wanted to utilize the restaurant but they were out of almost everything and it was early Friday night. Again, poor management on a holiday weekend and a packed hotel. Hotel has promise as the atrium is really cute and in a great location. Hope they get it together.
- 5/5
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar has a great selection for everyone.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel. Will definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
I think the problems might get straightened out once they get enough staff but they told me the general manager was cleaning rooms since they were understaffed. The front desk also informed me that the exhaust fans no longer work in rooms but that the maintenance staff was so new they didn't know that. If customers are told what to expect they feel better and we were not. Maintenance promised to look at the exhaust several times but didn't. I didn't get a call back from the manager as I requested. But it wasn't a bad room or property and the front desk is trying their best.
- 1/5
There was no rooms available. Booked with Expedia and got to the hotel and there was no rooms available.
- 1/5
The A/C and the elevator were not working and we were assigned a room at the 4th floor. Our car got vandalized and the cameras are not working. The bartender forgot our orders.
- 2/5
I was surprised by this property after reading that it had great reviews. I arrived to find that the carpets were very dirty, there are no elevators to assist people who cannot use stairs, the breakfast ends earlier than most hotels, and while the site says they offer a shuttle to the Colorado Springs hotel, they do not. The room was very dated, which made the bathroom seem unclean. The coffee maker was placed in an area where no plug was available. The lobby of the hotel looks kind of lodge-cool, but other than that, I found no value or attraction to staying at this location again.

it’s a good hotel for the price, the rooms are a bit outdated but overall the stay was good.
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and willing to help. It was a very beautiful property, would stay here again.
- 1/5
I had an absolutely horrible experience at this hotel. My Son and I left for the afternoon to go to My Son’s graduation when we returned in the evening the room had not been cleaned, but the beds were stripped with all the bedding in the corner.. I called and asked about it. They did send somebody up to make the beds for us, but then I found that my curling iron was missing and My Son’s backpack was missing.. It took me over two hours to get the manager to help me with it. The items were never returned.. The manager told me that she was going to write me a check to reimburse me for the items stolen, and that the housekeeper would be fired.. however I have not received any response back from them. I was still charge the full amount for the room and I have not been reimbursed..
- 1/5
This was the worst property I’ve ever stayed at. Staff was rude and the hotel was so dirty and disgusting. The hallways had trash the whole time of our stay and never cleaned. Also multiple dirty crusty spots in hallways. The pool was never open always staying under maintenance. The breakfast was gone within first hour and never replenish even though it was supposed to be “available” for multipe hours. Had fraudulent charge in my card from hotel and they refused to tell me why a on top of the $100 dollar deposit which they still have not returned. Management was rude and unwilling to help. They also blamed the issue on the “new owners” and would not take responsibility. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean out bathroom and the rag I used was covered win black and brown when done. There was also so much hair in shower drain the tub would barely drain. Had no other choice to stay as we already pre-paid thinking it would be a good hotel. I wish I could get full refund as the was a total waste of money and was traumatizing experience for me and my entire family (including my two children)
- 2/5
This hotel is way past the need for a remodel. Upon check-in, I was booked into a room and told where it’s location is.. The hotel is laid out very strangely, so I found the room, proceeded to try to unlock the door. After several attempts, a man opened the door. It was already occupied. So I went back to the check-in encounter where I had to wait for about 15 minutes. I explained that room was already taken, and so she gave me another room. Through the maze of rooms again, I found my new room. The key activated the unlocking of the door, but the top lock was locked from the inside. So back to the front counter again, waiting another 15 to 20 Minutes, and finally got another room. It was over an hour just to get my room. Rooms are very outdated, not taken care of, and musty smelling. They offer a free breakfast, which was terrible. Very little out to choose from, and if you wanted an omelette, you needed to buy a seven dollar ticket from the counter. We were supposed to get a $10 food and beverage credit and were never given that. When I asked about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. I definitely do not recommend this this hotel.
- 5/5
The food was good. The bed was comfortable. A very nice stay
- 1/5
Horrible experience on our end. Checked in and the first room faced internally into their inside courtyard right above the check in desk. Requested to be moved to a room that has light and unfortunately the new room was disgusting. Barely cleaned. Sheets had stains, toilet had marks on it, chairs had crumbs and stains, carpet stained, side table had brown goop on it, etc. We showed the front desk pictures and said we did not feel comfortable staying due to the lack of cleanliness. They told us we could check out and everything had to be handled through Expedia so we submitted photos to Expedia and were later told the hotel is denying a refund. I called the hotel and they are incorrectly stating that we declined to submit photos to them and that the photos we showed (that they said we didn’t submit?) show things that are not in the hotel, but I showed said photos to the front desk and offered to submit them (and did submit them to Expedia). They are still refusing to give a refund despite photo evidence and repeated attempts to get in contact with them to discuss further. I could not recommend this hotel any less.
- 3/5
There were no open tables at breakfast, despite fewer than 3 dozen guests. They had half of the eating area closed off. They put me in a room halfway down the building from the parking lot, on the 4th floor, again with fewer than 3 dozen cars in the parking lot, and my placing my reservation over a month ago. I had to walk half the length of a long building every time I went to my car. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past 3 years, and loved it until my past two visits. I will NOT be staying there again.
- 5/5
Room was clean had everything we needed . Gym was also nice to have. It was small but was well equipped had everything that was needed . Breakfast was good
- 1/5
Bar and grill did not serve but they offered.
- 2/5
Bar and grill did not serve any food as advertised. I will never go back to this hotel.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great.
- 4/5
Stayed here for one night during our road trip and overall we were pleased with the experience. The young lady on reception at check in wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. I hope she is educated that she is working in hospitality and a smile and welcoming greeting is a basic requirement to set a good tone for guests. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and quite well equipped. Breakfast was better than expected and the staff were helpful and pleasant. This hotel has an unusual layout and is looking a bit scruffy in places. But good value and perfectly acceptable for a one night stay.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, could use updating but not anything crazy. Breakfast was great, lots of options and good food. Very well priced for everything you get.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay on maintenance a lot
- 4/5
What a great location! And the huge Atrium concept is great for all seasons. But this place needs lots of love!! As you approach the entrance doors you see the first signs of lack of adequate maintenance. All of the doors are so worn out, a little paint or just replacing should have happened long ago! The rooms are very clean, but are in desperate need of updating. We stood in line to check in for over 30 minutes. So staffing needs to be adjusted. We looked forward to using the restaurant and bar, but that was closed because the staff person was having a day off. It was a very frustrating 2 day stay!!
- 5/5
Great location! Breakfast was really good and Colleen was such a delight at check in. We will stay here again :)
- 5/5
This was a great pet friendly hotel to stay at in Colorado Springs. It was clean and the prices were reasonable.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of choices
- 4/5
Hotel was nice but a little run down. You can tell this was a really nice property about 15-20 years ago and it has slipped a bit. The room was good. Breakfast was a disappointment after reading good reviews. I came down at 7am on a Monday and there were only carbs available. The only protein was an omelette station which was $6.99. The gal was very nice and seemed to be making fresh scrambled eggs for those who asked; I couldn't tell if she was taking pre-paid tickets for it or not. Upon arrival I planned to eat at the on-site restaurant, but it was completely empty at 7pm on a Sunday, so I went down the street to a fast casual place instead.
- 3/5
Our room was on the 4th floor and it was so unbearably hot on that floor. While the breakfast was amazing (the omelette guy was hands down amazing at his job), the rest of the stay (2 nights) was far below our expectations with the pricing that we paid
- 2/5
the curtains wouldn't close all the way to there was light in the morning. the a/c would run and then shut off and then run again, quite aggravating we went out for a day and when we came back the room key didn't work, had to go to the main desk and have it reprogramed. never had that happen beforel.
- 5/5
And they were super helpful and helped us get into a bigger room for a family of 5
- 5/5
The omelet was amazing
- 4/5
Tried to eat a meal during the week and found out they did did not have a cook that night. The person that opened the dining room did not when they would have a cook. They did have one on the weekend. The Wi-Fi was not very strong. The front desk said to reconnect and maybe we would get a strong signal. The building is old and needs some upkeeping.
- 1/5
I dont know how the Academy Hotel stay was. When arrived at the Hotel I was told they didnt have a reservation for me and they didnt have any more rooms left. Hotels.com said online that my booking was confirmed by the hotel. The Hotel manager told me to wait while she went and checked if any rooms were available but there was not. The manager told me that Hotels.com does this all the time. And makes the Hotel out to be the bad guy. Not only am I out a hotel I probly won't get my money back. When I booked on Hotels.com. Com my booking was non refundable. So yeah pretty pist off.
- 4/5
Coffee pot needs upgrading Get rid of the one ply toilet paper Bar and drinks were excellent Restaurant not so good. Very limited menu. Also not open for lunch Room cleaning non existent. Only offered room cleaning at 4pm on last day of our 4 night stay
- 3/5
Stayed on a Friday through Sunday Breakfast process was not smooth on the Sunday as it was on Saturday Ran out of coffee
- 4/5
Clean room and comfortable bed.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff were happy and helpful. The breakfast was really nice, great coffee!
- 5/5
Everything good
- 5/5
We have stayed several times over the last 2 years. We love the location, the staff, the amenities and overall vibe of the hotel. We will be back!
- 5/5
Room clean and well appointed. Only had contact with front desk person to register but very pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
The staff was great. Hotel is beautiful but rooms are a little outdated. Was very disappointed because the information regarding the hotel amenities were incorrect online and when we checked in the pool was already closed. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 1/5
Left the hotel and did not stay. Asked for refund. The hotel was not as it was represented. Broken door frame, no hot water, shower not usable as no water pressure, furniture badly worn
- 2/5
Very dated and needs lots of attention.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean.
- 4/5
The stay was ok, but not exceptional. WiFi was too slow. My bed wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
- 3/5
Hotel was really nice and the heated pool was fantastic! Breakfast was really good as well. The only complaint we had was our room key kept freezing daily and we had to get a new one 2x and on the third day a new person, who was very helpful, said previously whoever made our keys kept doing it for 1 day only. Which isn’t the worse but definitely an inconvenience. We were also there for 4 days and not once did we get any room service. I’m not sure is that’s something you have to ask for but never had that happen before.
- 3/5
The breakfast was very good but the staff made breakfast excellent! I cannot say enough good things about the breakfast staff! There were other things about the stay I did not like. For example, while the hotel is “non smoking,” one day of our stay someone on our floor was smoking pot and the hallway reeked of it, all day, over 10 hours! Plus, people would smoke pot and cigarettes right by the side entrances/exits, so one had no choice but to breathe it in. I did stay in two different hotels last summer in Co. Spings and did not have this issue. Also, I called the front desk because we didn’t receive a scheduled housekeeping and we were out of TP. The front desk person literally hung up on me - answered the call, didn’t saying anything and hung up the phone. Also, while the room was clean and housekeeping (when we got it) was excellent. There was a weird change in floor level in our room, and I repeatedly stubbed my toes on it. I would not choose this hotel again, but NOT because of the hotel or staff but because of the other guests.
- 5/5
Clean room, very nice staff and delicious omelet. The hotel sitting area is large and very comfortable. Multiple coaches and a fireplace. Since we were not intending to use the exercise room, we were not disappointed with the broken equipment.
- 4/5
Room was clean, some cracked walls and marks but overall clean and good enough for the evening. Breakfast was amazing and staff was super kind.
- 5/5
Staff are great!
- 3/5
Customer service needs improvement. The breakfast was advertised until 10:00 a.m. in a brochure and ended at 9:00 a.m. Hallways were hot and heating and cooling needs an upgrade. Only had 1/2 of toilet paper roll in room and no effort to fill it. Bought our own. Will not return.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and comfortable rooms. A true value proposition for the rates they charge. Will return for sure when we want a weekend in the Springs.
- 3/5
,the breakfast was not hot, all set up on the table, the eggs, ham, gravy and biscuits, the staff warmed them up for me, however it should have been hot in the first place.
- 5/5
👍
- 3/5
Overall fine, but hotel is getting run down. A waitress said they were bought out and are very tight about the amenities. Many mornings they were out of things like to-go cups, orange juice, etc. Room was ok, but had a strong stale smell.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is great. However, our room had a broken fridge which ruined all our food, the door would not close all the way. There was a stain on the mattress, our hair dryer did not work, and neither did our iron. The pool area is ok, the breakfast was great. The elevator was not working which is not ideal when dealing with a baby.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay especially for a family
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
The lobby area was very relaxing. Also the breakfast was as they said, a full breakfast. View of the mountains was great.
- 3/5
It is ok to sleep and go. If you plan to stay for few days, this is not the place
- 5/5
Fresh made breakfast, clean convenient very beautiful property! Inside like fountains and fireplaces in the sky lodge decor. Our daughter lives in the area plan to go back!
- 1/5
No clean room tape on window
- 2/5
We had numerous issues while we were there and every time I asked the staff to help I was lied to and they never did a thing to help us. The room was out of toilet paper and I had to remind them 3 times to bring any. It took over 24hrs before I got any. Our key cards stopped working. The bed linens were torn. The door safety latch was broken. We had no coffee cups in the room and when I asked for some I was told to come get some downstairs in the restaurant because nobody was going to bring me any. The window blinds were torn in a couple places and they used duct tape to try and repair them. The bed felt like it was going to fall apart etc… I could keep going. I usually never complain about stuff but I couldn’t let this one go.
- 5/5
Loved it all!
- 5/5
The bar was a nice feature. The breakfast was the best of any place we have stayed. The room was clean and the staff were very nice.
- 3/5
The small bars of soap were not large enogh to wash your hands, and certainly not large enough for bathing. The breakfast procedure was unexplained and disorganized.
- 3/5
I have used this hotel every year for several years and never had a problem until this year. The room was clean but the bathtub didn't drain. One of the front desk staff quit so there was no one to fix the problem. The hotel lost the booking for the group I was with because it is under new management and new ownership. The lobby and pool are excellent, the breakfast is also amazing. They tried charging for the omelet bar this year but then changed their minds. Just beware if you book here as they are going through changes. Otherwise, great hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful front area with restaurant/bar. The Continental breakfast was beautiful, and the wait staff for breakfast was helpful. The beds were SO comfortable and we loved the pillows! Even the toilet paper was a great brand! We would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Great property. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is good.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 5/5
It was a big bonus for our choice of staying.
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good
- 1/5
The hot tub wasn’t working, and the pool wasn’t as warm as expected. There were no towels available by the pool, and we had to repeatedly ask for them throughout our stay. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were not as clean as they should have been. Also, be sure to list the correct number of guests in your room, or you may not be able to access. The breakfast was the same throughout the stay had to go other places too get different options.
- 2/5
My daughter and i have stayed at this hotel several times. It was our favorite. Everything was different this time. Ive always gotten a $10 credit towards the restaurant for being a VIP member of Expedia. While checking in, i asked if we werent going to get it, and the woman replied that the restaurant was down for maintenance. I asked until when, and she had no clue. They also shortened the breakfast hours for during the week, and were now requiring a $100 deposit. Thats all new. We have stayed there almost every month since November. Next, people were fighting loudly and slamming doors as we walked to our room. We get there and there is one tiny shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room was paid for in advance, for two nights, and for two people. Who on earth thinks thats enough? Oh yeah, I forgot about the single makeup wipe. Next, the air conditioner didnt work correctly because it said the filter needed to be cleaned. The other people staying on the floor were obnoxiously loud all night long. This never happened before, as staff would monitor and handle it. There were bags of trash all down the hallway that stunk to high hell. There werent enough staff to even cover everything. The real cherry on top? The custom made omelet that came with the stay is now $10 a person. There used to be a line of people waiting for a delicious omelet. I saw one person in two days. The breakfast items were cold of lower quality by far. Pool was closed too.
- 3/5
It was a decent hotel
- 1/5
I really love the old architecture and atrium! But that’s about all the rooms are really rundown and not well taken care of not as clean as they should be walked around with bare feet and my feet were completely dirty. Coffee maker was absolutely disgusting. I put water in it to run it through first and sludge came out. I think it was mold. The breakfast was adequate and if you want something cooked fresh for you like an omelette it’s $10. I arrived one hour early for check-in and was told they had my room ready but it would be $20 extra if I wanted to check in at three instead of four. I know hotels are having a hard time staying in business but nickeling and diming people is not the way to do it and you need to maintain your property. The rooms are rusty old and dingy all the people working there were super friendly and nice. If you’re looking for a really cheap hotel just to spend one night stay here but if you’re on a vacation that you want to enjoy amenities, I wouldn’t suggest this property.
- 3/5
Under new management and I have a feeling not going to improve. Was not given my food/beverage credit, charging for omelettes at the free breakfast now, room was musty smelling. I used to always stay here, this will be my last time.
- 5/5
The only sad part was that the omelette bar is now $10 per omelette, when before it was part of the breakfast. One of the main reasons we have stayed at this hotel for so many years was because of the wonderful breakfast. Please consider bringing it back as part of the breakfast rather than charging separately for it. Without this, we may go stay somewhere else.
- 3/5
The vibe inside the lobby/main area of the hotel was wonderful. It was a beautiful facility and very unique in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed in. They had a pool but no hot tub, which was fine. The pool could have been warmer, but it was tolerable. They had a very nice breakfast spread. There was a restaurant on site that had a wonderful menu, however it must only be the menu for weekends. When we went on a weeknight, the waitress said it was a limited menu but couldn’t tell us what was offered as she didn’t have the menu on hand. The water pressure in the shower was great, but the water could have been hotter. The mini fridge was really loud, which didn’t bother us much until it was time to sleep. Beds were comfortable and clean. The biggest turn off was the entire frame of our door moved when you opened or closed it - I’m sure that door had a gnarly story about its history at some point in time. The rooms were decently maintained, though kind of sloppily - kind of “lipstick on a pig” in comparison to the common areas of the hotel. However, for the price, it was decent and located fairly close to all the major tourist attractions. If I were in a room with a solid door frame, I’d probably stay there again.

Yes very good

They used to have the omelette station included now it's $10 and the food was horrible the restaurant was horrible food will never be going there again
- 4/5
Property needs a little updating and or repairs. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfy. Only issue was the pull down blinds needed replacing. Other than that, great place to stay for the price.
- 5/5
Breakfast time was nice and pleasant, food was well prepared and the staff excellent
- 5/5
Game room and pool area could use a good sweep and dusting. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.
- 4/5
Priced appropriately
- 4/5
We had problems for 2 days with our room key not working, and check in on Saturday took a long time as there was only one clerk working. The staff was great, bed was fantastic and we got the use of the hotel wheelchair for our 4 day stay. I will use this hotel again,
- 4/5
Great staff. Love the omelette at breakfast
- 5/5
Over night stay. It was well priced especially for the location and amenities. Rooms were renovated fairly well and were clean. They have a lovely indoor pool open til 10 pm. Free breakfast in the morning was great. There are not servers, but attendants who take your plates and get/tell you where to get what you need. They were super friendly and attentive as if they were servers. Parking was plentiful. Close to restaurants (there is one in the hotel, but I got there late and it was closed), stores and other odds and ends stores. I would definitely stay there again!
- 3/5
Cuando llegue a las 2 me pedían 20 dólares para entrar antes ok decidí esperar a las 4 y luego no estaba lista mi habitación a la hora del ckhecking el hotel para una noche bien más días no lo recomiendo
- 5/5
Breakfast was wonderful!
- 3/5
I apologized and told her that her I wasn't aware of the new policy. "You need to come back at four!" I came back at 430 and had six people in line ahead of me, with only one desk clerk. Took me 25 minutes to check in! Yesterday morning, at 9 am, (checkout is at 11) Housekeeping knocked on my door. The woman barely spoke English and asked, "You leave when?" I understand people want to plan, but that isn't the right way to handle either situation! A little politeness goes a long way. After that experience, I am reconsidering my next planned stay there. Politeness would have gone a long way.
- 3/5
They closed down breakfast wsy early and seemed to
- 4/5
Breakfast wait staff worker Mike (lady) was so very nice, freindly, and helpful....There was no toaster, system for checking in for breakfast was inconsistent....Diner was spotty, due to no cook....sometimes had bar food, sometimes not, even though they advertised specials....and they closed early.
- 5/5
👌
- 2/5
Our room had no elevator. We had to wait 20 min to check in. We had to drag our luggage up stairs. New owners are not retaining their staff so they were short handed with no evidence the manager or owners were pitching in to help. Breakfast was good
- 3/5
We have been going to this hotel for ten years. They are charging for the omelette bar now $10.I would gladly pay ten dollars extra for my room price, instead of being charged for the omelette bar. That is ridiculous. Also the staff is very upset and unhappy 😞. They are under new management and staged a walk out Friday night. Not good for a place that has many repeat customers. Please help them.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great breakfast!
- 2/5
Last morning I had early meeting and I went out early and when I came back to the hotel was 9 am. I asked the front desk when is ending of serving the breakfast and the lady that apparently it was her first day said 10:30 am. So I said I will go and wrap up my luggage and come down for breakfast. I came back at 10:00 am and saw they cleaned up!! I asked the front desk and they said it finished at 10 am!!! I asked if they can have a solution since their statement was misleading, and the supervisor also said i cannot do anything and I need to ask owner of hotel for this simple thing!! I said or , then can you ask? She said he is not available. Without any resolution , I left. Poor management and hospitality

Housekeeper walked in room at 8 am, checkout is at 11!!

The building is a little older and could use some refreshing but the staff was fabulous!
- 5/5
Very kind staff and helpful very friendly with children which is nice they fill welcome great breakfast my husband didn't want to go bad thing you can't take the breakfast to the room for him. bed was a little outdated in the pets room plus deposit was unexpected didn't read that before. Overall great stay pool was fun The evening ladies were very amazing bar tender didn't show and they did their best to make is a drink we felt very welcome
- 5/5
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Everyone has been amazing to deal with from checking in to the breakfast staff. The breakfast far exceeds any hotel breakfast you get at hotels at a similar price point. It also has an amazing open seating area. Just all around great amenities. If you’re looking for a clean, budget friendly hotel in Colorado Springs, don’t look any further.
- 5/5
The breakfast buffet was excellent ... lots of choices!
- 5/5
Nice breakfast, friendly help, !!!
- 5/5
I love the free breakfast, love the large comfy chair in my room, having a mini fridge and microwave, etc
- 4/5
Breakfast was great. Customer service is top notch. Older buildings but nice and clean.
- 5/5
Possible. Complaint is the layout where the rooms are was kind of confusing. But if I stay there enough I’ll figure it out! Best breakfast choice ever!
- 1/5
My room smelled like smoke so I requested a different room. They put me in the room next door with a shared door. The smell was less but you could still smell the smoke.
- 5/5
What a great older hotel! Deep pool, great breakfast, clean, dark, perfect temperature room. We were able to do our laundry and get documents printed. I didn’t have a car but found everything I needed within walking distance. Great bargain! Love the lounge with fireplace and nice water station. Coffee and tea in my room and very good shower with soaps. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great breakfast. Nice bar and the rooms were very nice.
- 4/5
This is a huge hotel that needs updating in many ways. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Free breakfast was a cut above the usual.
- 5/5
So good
- 3/5
Overall perks, Good parking, fast and excellent service.
- 3/5
They need more than one person at the desk to check people in at 4 pm and out in the morning. The wait to check in was a bit longer than it should have been due to a lot of people checking in right at 4. The bartender was good and the breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Have stayed at Academy Hotel before with no issues, however the property seems to have degraded lately, a bit run down. AC was inadequate, bed was rock hard, WiFi was pitiful, entire room needs updating. Room was never serviced in five days we stayed, bathroom supplies inadequate. Bright spot was staff, exceptionally friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Plastic forks, knives, and spoons don’t cut it like regular silver ware.
- 5/5
Yes everything was great
- 1/5
Hotel quality degraded over the past few years since I have been visiting, No Internet this visit, Shabby meal selections although the Breakfast Omelets were great, Hotel Entrance looked like a back alley, Short staffed, charging $20 for early check-In even 5 min before..
- 4/5
Clean , staff friendly, breakfast was nice.
- 4/5
Breakfast was better than most, offering made to order omelets. Best price around.
- 1/5
On Expedia it says “Mountain View room” and the pic is cropped above the now current hotel in front of it. The baby crib described was a pack and play. The one first given was so dirty and then was given a different one which was cleaner but still stained. The shower curtain was torn all across the top and they brought a new one to our door but didn’t install it. So I guess that was meaning I was supposed to do it? The sink handle also broke off when turning it on. The floor wasn’t vacuumed well at all while we were staying there. The couch chair, the office chair, the floor, the curtain, all had stains on them. No idea how this hotel had four stars it does not deserve it.
- 5/5
Breakfast was awesome!
- 5/5
The Mountain View’s were great. The room was comfortable. The staff were so kind and the breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Have stayed here now over 6x and will continue
- 5/5
Amazing vibe. Friendly staff. Our new must stay hotel when we visit home.
- 5/5
Cleanliness, lobby ambience and breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel! The ambiance with the warm fireplace, the restaurant food was delicious. The rooms were super clean and really nice. Friendly staff! The only flaw I’d say is the shower was really light pressure. But other than that, I’d want to stay here again!
- 5/5
Staff was great, very beautiful hotel, wonderful breakfast.
- 4/5
Customer service was incredible. Staff is amazing. Beds are memory foam so quite firm to hard.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, staff was nice
- 2/5
Bathroom door handle was falling off, the bathtub didn’t drain and the bathroom sink didn’t drain very well either.
- 3/5
Good experience & wonderful staff!
- 5/5
A hidden gem, clean rooms, great beds, and awesome signature breakfast!
- 3/5
Definitely needs updated. Breakfast buffet was a disappointment. Some staff rude.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Not quite spotless. Big bug in bathroom, hair dryer had so much lint buildup it overheated and heater had change filter warning light on.overheated,
- 4/5
Room was clean, quiet. I had a nice stay. Very pretty hotel
- 5/5
Staff member, Chelsea, was helpful and friendly beyond words both checking us in and next a.m. at breakfast serving area. And we LOVED the full meal breakfast selections!!
- 5/5
room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
room was very comfortable and clean!
- 4/5
Clean room, great view of the mountains, very friendly staff, nice lobby and restaurant, and a great pool. The walls are terribly thin, however.
- 3/5
Other than that it was ok.
- 3/5
We were assigned a room on the second floor without an elevator which caused us older people with creaky knees some hardship. We were given no option when we checked in around 7pm. We managed not easily. The young man at the front desk was complete unapologetic. The room seemed mostly clean but I cleaned out the 2 heater air filters which were disgusting. There was some spilled blood (?) on one wall that I wiped off but gave me a feeling nobody had really looked the room over before finishing the cleaning. We’ve enjoyed precious stays more but hope things will be improved should we choose to stay with you again.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with omelets made to order. Parking is free and plentiful. Manager's reception was great on a cool rainy night.
- 3/5
We have a hypoallergenic dog, because Allergic reactions to pets. But we stay in a Pet Room, but the Last few Stays the Bathrooms have had lots of Hair, it looks like they dont even Try to Clean them.
- 5/5
Very convenient in the middle of town and close to the air force. Great free breakfast buffet.. A great place to hang out by the fire and have a cool drink.. A very fun indoor pool. It was a great day for our family.
- 5/5
Great location, great staff and beautiful views
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly! Great amenities for our family that stayed with kids. My kids loved the game room and pool. Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be staying back here again
- 5/5
Nothing to do with the hotel it was about the parents.
- 5/5
I’ll tell you what, this place surprised me. The pictures on the Internet seemed to show the outside of the hotel to look a little newer so when we drove up, we didn’t quite know for sure. But once we stayed there for a while and saw the way the staff worked, the service, the full breakfast, the beautiful inside of the hotel. It was amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
- 5/5
The stay was amazing!
- 5/5
Fantastic stay at The Academy Hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and nice, the staff was amazing and went above and beyond, and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything about the experience was top-notch. My "go-to" place to stay when I am in Colorado Springs!
- 4/5
The staff was great, the room could use an update drawers were hard to open but the room was clean
- 3/5
All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was overall clean but very aged. The paint in the restroom was cracking. There was something on the hallway floor by our room and it was still there 3 days later. The vending machine under the steps by our room had crackers and dust on it the entire time we were there. It would be nice if there were better lighting in the atrium area.
- 3/5
Rooms are tired and bedding dated, Bathrooms rooms have been poorly maintained (painted wallpaper, sloppy caulking, dirty shower). T.V remote control batteries and light bulbs. Deferred maintenance is obvious.
- 5/5
I always stay here when visiting family in Colorado Springs. Staff is great. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. Shuttle stop from Denver Airport.
- 5/5
Perfect location, great breakfast!
- 5/5
We love this hotel, have probably stayed there 8-10 times for volleyball tournaments on the weekends. Clean, affordable, consistent, kind people, good breakfast.
- 5/5
The lobby was comfortable for lounging. Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and quiet. Maid service, excellent.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and was tasty. Hotel is in a perfect location. We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
The room was great the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere as you walked into the hotel was very nice
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and personable. Coleen at the front desk greeted us with a smile. The bartender,Rob, was so much fun and made a great Cupids Arrow(his own creation!). The food at the restaurant and breakfast were worth coming back for! Beds were comfy and rooms clean. The location was very convenient.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
A pleasant stay. Great ambiance and the breakfast was decent.
- 4/5
Nice place for the money. Loved the clean rooms, staff, and heated pool. My only 2 complaints: the restaurant has ZERO sense of urgency. Waited 35 minutes for a glass of wine and 1 hour for dinner to be served. Secondly what’s up with the skimpy tiny thin pool towels? I need 5 just to dry off.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was prepared good and it was delicious.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Breakfast great!
- 3/5
The room was in great conditions the availability of restaurants were great. BUT the first night there was so much noise, running of kids at midnight and loud talking till 1am. Now i give all hotels i stay till 11pm for quiet hours. Unfortunately it didn't happened. I was so tired the next morning i didn't even want to go see my friends but I did. YOU really need to enforce quiet hours.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Good for the money. Breakfast was great!
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. Room was dusty but we let it go for housekeeping next day. Turns out they only do full service every 3 days. We were there for 10 days. In those 10 days, toilet was never cleaned, room never dusted. Ice bucket plastic bag never replaced after 1st use. Common hallways not vacuumed, saw same trash on the carpet for the entire stay.
- 4/5
Nice heated pool. The breakfast was good, show up at least an hour and a half before it’s over if you want it warm. The staff in the restaurant were very nice as well. The rooms are dated but good. The first room we were put in smelled musty and felt like I was breathing in chemicals but thankfully they switched our room when I mentioned.
- 4/5
Very clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast with an omelet cooked to your desire, was fantastic. Will be returning the next time we are in Colorado Springs!
- 4/5
Good hotel breakfast could be a little better
- 3/5
Everyone who works at the hotel was kind, helpful and delightful.
- 5/5
Great room clean room very good view of the mountains. I will be back it will well worth the money. The buffet breakfast is really good. They have guys making fresh omelets on the spit along with tons of other breakfast foods. It was great. The rest untreated us very good also and it was good food and the sweet tea was the best around.
- 5/5
What a gem!! So comfortable. In the morning, EVERY staff member that crossed my path said, “Good morning!” and the staff at the complimentary breakfast were above and beyond. Best breakfast ever! Very highly recommend.
- 4/5
Such a friendly staff and tasty breakfast! This hotel has a great ambiance but rooms need just a little updating in the bathrooms.
- 5/5
It was such a great experience . The amenities were awesome and the inside was giving cozy vibes
- 3/5
Even though I got a smoke free room, it smelled heavily of smoke, especially when the shower was on. And for some reason, our room wouldn't cool down. Maybe it was broken? But it was a rougher night for us. But it was good in the morning great breakfast.
- 3/5
The foyer entrance is so beautiful. But when we got to the room was disappointing. The room was extremely dated. The shower curtain was gross and ripped. No fan in the bathroom. Looked like there was a heat bulb in bathroom but it was broken. There was a dirty cup on the window sill that was left. We were so far from the main hotel part we had no wifi.
- 5/5
The hotel looked amazing especially for the price. Would definitely recommend it and love to stay here again.
- 2/5
Mattress was hard as cement. Checked in at night and was not given any soap, shampoo, etc. at front desk because there is none given in the room. I called and they said they would send someone with it and never did. Everything that is exposed is old, rusty, or dirty.
- 4/5
Stay was great. Wish they would have had another elevator, but other than that was wonderful.
- 5/5
Once again the motel exceeded by expectations and provided great service once again. Plus you can’t beat the price of the room and of the deposit.
- 4/5
Room was good. Wasn't a fan of the beds.
- 5/5
The room was clean and staff was friendly. Great, quick stay!
- 5/5
Yes the room was clean and staff was great
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
The hotel was somewhat dated, but I enjoyed the family atmosphere. The restaurant food was good, but they had a hard time with the charge machine. Breakfast was fine, though the exact same each of the six days.
- 4/5
The bed was good. The breakfast buffet was awesome. Also the indoor pool was clean and well taken care of.
- 4/5
Breakfast and having a restaurant on premises
- 4/5
great stay
- 5/5
Staff was great, and the omelettes for breakfast were amazing!
- 5/5
Room was clean with comfortable bed. Breakfast was the best free breakfast I've had at a hotel. Fresh omelets made to order. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, french toast, sausage, bacon, ham. Potatoes, and scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, and more. Cant beat the $77 per night rate for 1 king room for 2 adults through Expedia.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Very nice stay. Quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
Love this place
- 5/5
The lobby is so beautiful and overall, it is such a great welcoming place to be
- 5/5
The room was nice and felt homey.. breakfast was great, and the service from staff was exceptional!! The over all look was nice and great parking.
- 5/5
Super limpio, trato muy agradable , el hotel esta hermoso y el desayuno rico
- 3/5
Room was nice and clean. Great price but pool areas was about 60 degrees and made pool unusable along with lobby area.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, good overall experience.
- 2/5
We books this hotel as a family of 5. 3 adults and 2 kids. The room said it sleeps 5 so we thought we were ok. IT DOES NOT SLEEP 5. It was 2 queen beds and that's it. We had to pay an extra $10 a night to get an extra bed in the room. The microwave was broken and half the outlets didn't work. The front desk staff were rude and had no customer service skills. The girl who made omlets in the morning for breakfast was absolutely amazing and so nice! I would not recommend the hotel or ever stay again. Was very disappointed in how they handled things.
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean rooms. All needed soaps and shampoos. Excellent custom made omelets every morning. I’ve been staying here for about 20 years whenever I come to COS. Thanks for another great stay.
- 4/5
It was
- 4/5
Staff was nice
- 5/5
This is a clean, cozy, friendly hotel! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Great hotel!!! Friendly, accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast buffet. The only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars was because many loud, noisy and spirited children dominated the pool our entire stay, making it impossible for anyone else to enjoy. Unfortunately the indoor location of the pool - - and winter weather - - meant that the lounge and bar area also experienced the noise.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and kind
- 4/5
The room was affordable and familiar. Love that thy provide free breakfast and their staff is always kind and courteous. I can’t recommend this establishment enough.
- 1/5
One of the main reasons that I booked a one night stay was for my children to play in the pool. My children had played in the pool for no more than a couple of minutes when a lady approached us to inform us that a child vomited in the pool.
- 5/5
Very unique and fun place, great for family gatherings and kids. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great Buffet breakfast! Nice, clean room. I have been going here for years and have another visit already planned. Thanks Academy!
- 5/5
Nice hotels
- 5/5
Overall excellent state, shout out to front desk and buffet staffing
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast
- 5/5
Very nice, clean room and fantastic staff and a delicious hot breakfast!
- 5/5
Great staff , clean room and beautiful place
- 4/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Desayuno exquisito. Ambiente relajado y tranquilo.
- 5/5
They have the best breakfast!
- 3/5
Hotel location was great. Breakfast was not great and constantly out of stock. The restaurant tasted okay but portions were small for the price. At night the pool is horribly lit so it became a safety concern with littles.
- 2/5
First, I was told that I had to call the receptionist before 1:00 p.m. to ensure my room was added to the cleaning schedule. This is completely unacceptable and something I have never experienced at any hotel before. Second, the room was in poor condition. Several items were broken, including the bed and the headboard. In addition, both the toilet and the shower had severe water pressure problems. I was forced to call the front desk to request maintenance just to have the toilet unclogged. Third, the hotel clearly lacks proper upkeep. After 17 years, I returned to give this property another chance, but the overall condition shows that it is in serious need of a full upgrade. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Finally, the amount of body wash provided was inadequate—barely enough for one person, which is unacceptable. Overall, this stay did not meet even basic expectations.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 3/5
The hotel is out dated. We got one of the better rooms and I’m glad we did because I couldn’t imagine staying in one of the standard rooms. The bathrooms are extremely small. The whole bottom floor smells like a school cafeteria because of the open floor plan. They kept the lobby cold the entire time we were there which kinda sucks because it made getting out of the pool almost unbearable. The pool and breakfast area are in the lobby area so by the time we got to our table from the breakfast line, everything was cold. Cold eggs, cold sausage, cold ham, cold French toast is not good. The oatmeal was made with water and no sugar. The waffle batter was dense and smelt like I stuck my nose in a bag of flour. The best thing I ate was probably the captain crunch cereal. The “arcade” consisted of a ping pong table and a foosball table in a room about 16ftx7ft big. There’s no lighting in the pool area either. Our toilet hardly worked. It took a lot out of the poor thing to flush properly. Probably part of the outdated issues I mentioned. When I walked in, it just looked old and dirty even though it probably wasn’t. The service signal sucks up in the Mountain View floor and the WiFi that they offer didn’t work almost at all. That’s probably why they still have DIRECT Tv. Like what the heck. Are we still stuck in the 2000’s. What are y’all doing. It’s 2026. It’s time to upgrade!! Also PSA if you stay at this hotel, bring your own towels cause theirs are rough! Felt like sandpaper :(
- 5/5
Rooms clean staff amazing
- 4/5
This is our place of choice when staying in Colorado Springs. Great breakfast and good service
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times and this is our hotel of choice when in Colorado Springs.
- 1/5
I would not reccomend this place. Best words to descirbe the entire place was dirty, grimy, old run down. We didnt even end up staying the 2nd night we already paid for and went somewhere else. It made me learn a lesson to not trust the reviews on expedia and to do my own research before trusting a "wonderful" property. This is a 2 star hotel at best.
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good
- 1/5
There won’t be any Wi-Fi when you stay there, I was very polite and asked for help and was completely dismissed by a gentleman on the Night Shift, who said that he was the most and I quote “ tec savvy guy their establishment had to offer” So I went down to ask him for help, and he literally looked at me and basically said “nah bro I’m good” So there’s a young lady there that was very nice and she helped me and told me to come back in the morning when there was a manager and that happened on Wednesday night. So I came down on Thursday morning, politely asking for a manager, unfortunately it was the Manager’s day off because the manager takes every Thursday off. However, unfortunately, that young lady didn’t know that within her own employment circle, which I find to be a little interesting. So I would say that if you wanna stay here for a mediocre price, horrific customer service, but you at least have somewhere to stay then go for it. I mean it’s not like the end of the world. But there’s no shot. I’m ever staying here again personally.
- 3/5
Atrium was very cold. Not enough light even during the day. Breakfast was fair. No coffee late at night only during breakfast hours.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, breakfast variety
- 5/5
Best hotel breakfast in the world
- 3/5
Maybe we were there at a bad time (New Years and inflation economy) but things seemed scaled back from a year ago. Internet unreliable, etc. Staff was wonderful though.
- 2/5
The staff in the dinning hall for breakfast was wonderful.. on the other hand the front desk was horrible. Many times i requested someone about housekeeping and they reply was they are short staff also i complained about the ac. It was soooo hot in my room. Upon check out we requested a mgr. The guy that we were making all the conplaints to turn out to be the mgr. And some how he couldnt find no written reports of us coming making these complaints. Only thing he said after all that complaining was im sorry you had such a negative experience. And get this out of all 3 days of my stay not one time housekeeping came but upon check out day at 8a.m. they were banging on our door..
- 3/5
This hotel was cute and had a really nice vibe. The restraunt inside was wonderful. The free breakfast was inedible and one of the lowest quality I have had at any hotel, which was weird because they do put a lot of effort but everything tasted like canned mre including the omelet bar. Also the pool was warm but not good to get out of because the room the pools in is freezing cold room (the entire time we were there) and coming out of a heated pool to freezing air is terrible. The room was cute, me and my husband both had a hard time sleeping on the bed even though we chose the deluxe room. The area has a lot nearby.
- 5/5
Cleanliness by the entire staff, esp the housekeepers.
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable!
- 4/5
Cozy lobby (though very cold--it was winter and the whole space was quite cold.) Great restaurant, friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
It is perfect!!!
- 5/5
Stayed here for 3 nights and it has been one of the best experiences! Starting with check in, breakfast and all the staff. Very family friendly
- 5/5
Clean room, good sized pool. Game room and board games were a great way to end night.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good friendly staff
- 3/5
The pool was really dirty, cold and dark. Our TV was not functioning and mini fridge also froze our items. But staff was very nice and polite. Bed was awesome so comfortable area was also great.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious and had a pretty good variety, beds were nice and soft, clean hotel, dinner at the restaurant was bit overpriced for the amount you get and took a while. Other than that loved our stay!
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, fabulous made-to-order omelets
- 2/5
The room was dingy. Old towels with raveling edges. No place to hang wet towels to dry, and only 1 towel per Person. Bed linens were old and slid off the brd during the night. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but we well not be staying there again.
- 5/5
This place is amazing
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and clean. Staff was so kind, and the breakfast was fantastic fantastic
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. Clean room and restrooms and breakfast was exceptional!!!
- 5/5
I’ve been staying at the Academy every Christmas for the last 25 years, and simply cannot say anything bad about it, other than their Wi-Fi is always horrible. The facilities, location, staff, and breakfast are excellent! I have stayed in hundreds of motels over the course of my life, and none compare to the academy.
- 2/5
Restaurant was bad, map was confusing, hallways hot and smelly
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 1/5
The hotel was old and it had a bad odor. The worst part of the trip was the staff super unprofessional. When I advised them that someone attempted to enter our room while my two babies were sleeping they practically dismissed me and laughed about the situation. Avoid this place!
- 5/5
Loved the stay, excellent service and great breakfast
- 1/5
When I asked for written documentation of the mouse issue, the front desk employee was dismissive and said the incident report "would be for us, not you." Very unprofessional response to a legitimate health concern. The only positive was the complimentary breakfast, which was good. But that doesn't make up for unsanitary rooms and poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.
- 5/5
It's the best breakfast by far of any motel we have stayed at. You can't beat it!
- 5/5
Quick efficient check-in. Very friendly staff dinner was great. The kids love the pool!
- 5/5
Staff was great. Breakfast was awesome. Room was perfect and reasonably priced.
- 5/5
Decor in the hotel is so beautiful and staff so sweet
- 5/5
nice hotel
- 5/5
Love it! Had to stay again
- 5/5
Not bad!
- 5/5
The breakfast and the layout. Great stay!
- 4/5
The atrium had a nice atmosphere with lots of plants, but it was a bit cold during breakfast where most of the seating was located; the bar area was a bit warmer. Stayed in 2 different rooms (got upgraded to a deluxe due to roofing maintenance). Toilet was difficult to flush (had to hold the lever for about 10 seconds). Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The check in time was 1600 but I had to wait for the room to be cleaned. Cleaning was not thoroughly done. There were hair in the bathroom. The room was spacious but it was not well-maintained.
- 5/5
We loved the warmth and ambience of this hotel. Architecture that you don’t see in new hotels. Everyone we ran into was friendly. Great breakfast with a huge variety. Nothing felt cold and sterile, even if the decor isn’t modern. Everything was clean and functional. We will be back!
- 5/5
super clean room and nice staff
- 4/5
Great morning breakfast Especially the omeletts
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious, the hotel is very nice and clean
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Breakfast buffet really needs to include bacon and the ham tasted like they heated up sandwich meat. I would appreciate some warm crunch with my breakfast.
- 5/5
Our room was spotless and the staff- from front desk to cleaning staff- were awesome.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the breakfast
- 5/5
Clean room. Gorgeous Hotel. Will stay again if we are ever in the area.
- 5/5
Yes minus the bathroom floor was bit dirty. Front desk guy was super nice.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and bathroom. Staff very courteous. Breakfast was a nice perk. $10 coupon to use at the restaurant in the hotel was convenient. Especially since we circus on late and didn't want to go out again. The food was fine.. nothing great.
- 4/5
Staff were very accommodating, Lobby was beautiful, room was “ lived in” but comfortable. Buffet lacked fruit (other than apples and oranges), no yogurt or berries. Coffee and juice station was great! Ready by 6:30 am, fireplace was so nice! Staff were wonderful!
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. The carpet was dirty. It was vacuumed in the open but not around, behind, and between the furniture. There were layers of dirt visible. I’m sneezed a lot from the dust. It was noisy. The layout of the hotel places the rooms around a big open space where folks gather also the noise filters in to the room. I was alarmed to see the great open space just on the other side of my curtains. The staff was super friendly. Overall, it was just an ok experience. It was a place to stay. I would not return in general, but if I had to stay there it wouldn’t be more than one night.
- 5/5
Great stay! Awesome place with amazing breakfast!
- 5/5
Checking in was smooth and we received a warm welcome! The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a warm and cozy vibe. Very family friendly atmosphere with many activities and a nice indoor pool. Breakfast is above and beyond what other hotels provide. Staff is very attentive and service was excellent. Everything in our room was very clean and well maintained and the relaxing music in our room upon arrival was a very nice and welcoming touch. The staff were very friendly and very polite everywhere in the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Every time I stay at this facility the price is always affordable and the staff is beyond nice and courteous. The location is conveniently located and the breakfast is always exceptional.
- 4/5
clean room , friendly staff.

Rooms are good but noisy neighbors are sometimes an issue
- 4/5
Room was good although a bit loud. Breakfast was fantastic and love the bar, restaurant and pool.

I called pryer to booking my room to find out info on Security deposit and was told it was not required. Upon check in though I was asked to provide a card for insidentals. They wouldn't except the only card i had on me whichus a Cash App card. I was unable to check in until boyfriend showed up after work to scan his. I waited 3 hours! Unfortunately, something was wrong with the hotel's computer system because he had to scan hthree different cards before one was except

- 5/5
We had a great experience! It was our first time and their breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
Clean Rooms, friendly staff, and the amenities were appreciated
- 5/5
We love this place, stay here quite often
- 5/5
Everything was fabulous. The lobby is beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was spectacular! This would be my first choice if I come back to Colorado Springs!
- 3/5
We were looking forward to enjoying the pool, but I was really dirty and didn’t look like it was cleaned for months.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly, which I really appreciated. However, I was a bit confused about the “$10 back after spending $30” offer because we never received anything for it. Also, the walls are pretty thin you can hear everything from the other room lol. Another thing to note is that the pool isn’t heated, though it wasn’t too cold to swim in. On the positive side, I really liked that breakfast was included! Overall, a good stay.
- 4/5
The hotel felt slightly dated in the room we stayed in. We were traveling with the dogs, so I’m sure that had some to do with it. Overall, the hotel was nice. My daughter felt like we were staying in a resort.
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 5/5
Room was clean, dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and staff was very friendly
- 3/5
They didn't have the room we requested, we asked for king bed and they didn't have on the first flood and because there is no elevator the first floor became a must because I'm disabled. My daughter's room was broken into but nothing seemed to be missing. The staff was nice and the food was above average.
- 4/5
Yup, the place could use some updates, but it’s easily overlooked when the stay was nice. I’ll be back for sure.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Great buffet for breakfast great customer service felt right at home.
- 4/5
The room is pretty musty spelling. The draps are broken and a gross leak from the ceiling in the bathroom.
- 5/5
The best affordable hotel we stayed at so far as a family of 3. Free breakfast, say less! A heated pool, great! Games, restaurant and everything nearby was perfect.
- 5/5
very nice
- 4/5
Hotel was a little older but well maintained. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options for my entire family to be able to find something they’d like. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.

- 5/5
Staff was wonderful and friendly, rooms clean, bed was comfortable. They do offer dinner and drinks but we didn’t indulge and have a hot breakfast but we didn’t eat. The atmosphere is great there and quite cozy.

- 5/5
It’s was nice need to add bacon and pancakes.

Staff were kind and food was great

The entrance was filthy. Was not very appealing upon arrival. The breakfast and the breakfast staff made up for the rest. Issue with TV upon arrival was not fixed until the next morning after returning to the room it was broken again. Had to have repairman come again. No one from management staff bothered to contact me to rectify the problem. Once again it was only the breakfast staff and the breakfast menu itself that made the visit enjoyable even the staff at the front desk. We’re not very friendly, but again the breakfast staff those ladies all of them are outstanding.
- 5/5
They were amazing from the start of our stay to the end! Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great. We stay here every year on our ski trip.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and really helpful, and the extensive lobby area was a great place to hang out with the family.
- 5/5
The hotel itself and the room were gorgeous! Theres a restaurant, ping pong, a pool, and the lobby reminds me of a greenhouse without the heat. The bed was the perfect kind of firm (my back has never felt better), and the made to order omelets were delicious, too. I absolutely loved everything.
- 5/5
The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Clean room but some issues with our room (no cold water in bathroom sink, dead phone, scary incident at 3:30am on our floor with no front desk response). Good breakfasts!
- 5/5
Our room was a deluxe king room. The room was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
This place was amazing. It was such a random choice, but it definitely did not disappoint.

A real full-service hotel. Great staff, Clean room, Great breakfast, reasonable price.
- 4/5
Really great staff, the breakfast was exceptional. Great stay
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous, but I won’t stay here again because of the mattresses. They are hard foam and very uncomfortable! It’s a real shame because I’ve been looking for a hotel that I can stay at as I’m coming out to Colorado Springs about once a month. The burger at the grill was horrible also, wish I would’ve gone down the road and eaten at in and out.
- 4/5
Clean room, amazingly comfortable bed, breakfast was delicious!!

Clean room and bathroom
- 5/5
Yes good food!
- 5/5
We adore this place and frequent often for staycations. The staff is always amazing! It’s such an easy place for a single mom to unwind with kiddos. My only complaint this time is the mattress in our room could use a rotate. It was pretty smashed in on one side which caused the other person to roll to the center. Love you guys tho be back soon!
- 1/5
The beds are old, lumpy, and dip in the center. It was extremely uncomfortable and terrible night's sleep. The air conditioner/heater was loud and made the room humid. The lobby is very dark in the evening and the staff at check-in was nonchalant. I had to ask for directions to the elevator twice. Would definitely not recommend.
- 5/5
Menu items fresh. All staff so kind, thoughtful and helpful

Just a great stay and service!!!!
