It was nice and convenient for me, but shower rod was falling down so taking a shower was not recommended and dish washer was not attached to anything so when I opened the door, it came out and couldn't really be loaded. A little maintenance is needed on some of the rooms....

My family stayed for the week of Christmas and we immediately noticed it was basically the same hotel we stayed at for our wedding in Greenwood Village back in 2021. The room was the exact same, which was so neat! It was easy to find the rooms and parking was easy to understand. The location of this property does not reflect well in the photos or map. While this property may have the ability for you to travel to I25, the Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Great Wold Lodge, etc.. you need to plan an extra 30 minutes just for traveling anywhere because of how unpredictable traffic is. Not to mention, the amount of homeless people, sketchy people hanging around in cars scoping others out, and the constant sirens at all hours of the night definitely made me feel as though I was a tad bamboozled. Room 222 was not clean. At all. I don’t know how long it had been since that room was vacuumed last, but due to the amount of leaves and dirt all over the living room and bedroom floors, my husband made the decision to buy a vacuum specifically so our small children (2 & 1 year) would be comfortable on the floor. The bathrooms were covered in urine and poop. I was forced to clean vomit off the headboard that would belong to my 2 year old for the week. And of course as if all that wasn’t bad enough, our room was completely falling apart. Ice maker: broken. Lamp in living room: broken. Charging ports: broken Fireplace tile: broken Kitchen table: broken & absolutely unsafe and unstable (guess no Christmas dinner) The carpet had small sharp silver hooks hanging out that we would catch our feet on and actually cut my daughter pretty good. When we tired to communicate to staff these issues the day of check in, we were told repeatedly, ‘you can have another room’ (after unloading 4 children and 2 car loads of all our things) when the only solution we asked for was: a screwdriver to tighten the table and a vacuum - to which we were told, ‘you can use it for 10 minutes then you’ll have to bring it back because the maids need it’ even though it was 7pm on the 22nd. We were blown off after calling for the screwdriver too.

I like the hotel concept of a suite living room, kitchen and rooms with seperate bathrooms. Beds comfortable. I did not like that housekeeping is only available after the seventh day of stay our stay was six days. Which means you get no fresh up of linens, towels, room cleaning and you have to take out your own trash to dumpsters. If you wish a set of clean towels or bedding it's $3 per set. They also do not offer breakfast bar which in the property discription they say its included. The rooms upon first glance looked good but when you fully look, carpet filthy, walls filthy, bathroom trim and ceiling rot. Lastly, they require a $500 deposit on checkin which was not previously stated and they ONLY accept major credit cards.

The new owners installed a new reservation software and didn't train the desk staff. My reservation was scrubbed and the clerk had to create an entirely new reservation with the day's prevailing rate. She was very apologetic but it took nearly 45 minutes to check in.

I had stayed at this property many times before including 5 times in the past 12 months. The deposit had always been $100 and I have always received my full deposit back following my stay. I understand that they think hiking up the deposit will help change their clientele because apparently it had been over run with drug addicts. (There words not mine.) As a loyal guest with a clean track record, I find it insulting and unacceptable to be lumped in with and punished for the actions of other guests. A representative from hotels.com called and spoke with the front desk staff and confirmed the ridiculous $500 deposit. The representative requested contact by the hotel manager in order to get the information corrected on hotels.com website. That was 2 weeks ago and the website is still informing guests that they will only be charged $250.00 when in fact they will be charging double that amount. This hotel has access to information about their return guests as well as if prior visits showed cause for concern, they just chose not to consider that information and treat every guest as though they are sinister addicts. We won’t be staying at this property on future trips!

The room was very old, dusty/dirty, and showed it's age. They reserve $500.00 on you credit card in case of damages. There were so many dings, stains, missing pieces on a door, linoleum coming up in the kitchen, scratches on couch cushions, a hug crack and repair in the bathroom sink. I felt like I needed to take pictures to prove how bad it was before us so they don't charge us.

Great inexpensive place for a family to stay. I enjoyed the breakfast while minimal it was hot. The rooms are very dated. Some of the walls have stains on them and the carpet is completely shot. The table in the dinning area was cracked down the middle. And there were cheese-it’s in a baggie in the cupboard so obviously those were not cleaned before our stay. Having said that the sheets and bedding were clean and there was no odor in the room which are my two biggest buggaboos. So overall we got what we paid for and I wasn’t expecting a lot since the cost was so responsible. It was great having two bathrooms with a family of 5. The staff was helpful and welcoming. There is a lot of construction in the building (not loud) but hopefully that is a sign of some room updates. Fresh paint carpet wall decor and new end tables and dinning would do wonders for these rooms.

This property appears to be undergoing a renovation. The lobby, breakfast area, workout room, pool, and basketball courts were very nice! Our loft suite was very nice and comfortable. When we first arrived, the first room assigned had a bad smell. The desk agent quickly fixed the issue and personally inspected the new room to ensure it was good. The neighborhood around the property was deteriorating with several closed businesses. However once you are nessled into the property you don't really see or notice the area around it.

Checked into a unit that smelled of heavy smoke and had a musty odor after booking non-smoking room. Carpets were stained, furniture was worn, pillows smelled terrible, visible water damage throughout the bathroom, cracked walls, closet door broken. My adult daughter had a severe allergic reaction to either smoke, pet dander, dust, mold, or all of the above which we have never experienced before even in cheaper motels. Was then moved to a second unit that was even more worn and dirty. Bathroom had hair and dirty sink, carpet stained, furniture worn, and smelled musty. The third upstairs unit that we were “upgraded” to looked most like the advertised room and was clean without a musty odor. The unit was facing a busy street so had traffic noise all night long but was an incredible improvement from the first rooms. Bait and switch advertising. Even from viewing the buildings outside they look old, worn, and falling apart, not at all like advertised.

The rooms are definitely spacious with the full kitchen and the beds are beyond comfortable. But we had a 4 day stay an NO INTERNET the entire stay. I had to pay for my mobile data just to check my email & SM accounts every day. We called the desk and every single day was told "tomorrow", but never got internet. This was especially frustrating considering the internet was working in the office & breakfast areas. The breakfast is always good there. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Not a terrible place, but not really sound proof when you can hear every noice that happens outside. Nothing really major bad about my room just odd things like some loose tiles from poor grout work for entry and bathroom tiles TV remote seemed to be dead or close to dead so couldn't change the channels. We came here for a trade show, and although this is an older building- it was clean and well-kept, and the staff was very helpful. The location is also very close to any shopping, as I forgot my jacket and the first morning was very windy and about 45dgr- so we were able to go and get one very quickly. The breakfast was very convenient and nutritious, with lots of options. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it. Side note-keep in mind that being on the first level, you will hear your neighbors upstairs if they are heavy-footed, but you cant hear them talking.

So surprised by the positive reviews. We were so disappointed when we arrived to the property & even more so when we got to our room. So much so we ended up not staying and went to another hotel. The carpet was covered in stains, there was broken tile & grout, the bottom of the kitchen cabinet was rotted out, broken & worn out furniture, smelt of smoke, the fence around the pool had a tarp over it to cover the bins of trash beside it. Another group was also canceling their stay while we were as well. The staff was compliant and raised no questions when we told them we were going to cancel our stay-they actually told us that this happens all the time. We were very disappointed in the condition of the property. The layout of the room would have been perfect for our young family, but other than that we just couldn’t justify staying there. Please read through the reviews. I wish we had paid more attention before booking our stay. Thankfully hotels.com worked with us and helped us find a new hotel for our stay in Colorado Springs so thankful they were able to accommodate us.

The paint is peeling on building,, no elevators, rooms much smaller than it looks in pictures, paint peeling on cabinets, window air conditioner made it impossible to close curtain to light, no cleaning over multiple day stay, had to take towels to front desk to get clean ones, breakfast ok but aimed to hispanic guests, friendly staff.

Best deal in Colorado Springs! Suite with a kitchen, pet friendly, and free breakfast. Great location near Austin Bluffs & Academy with lots of restaurant and shopping options. Property includes a large recreation area for families and kids, with a swimming pool, basketball court, grassy area, and BBQ/picnic area under a beautiful pine tree. Rooms are spotless upon check-in - room service once a week due to extended stays, but towel trade-in upon request. Great deal!.

The property is old and not well kept up, except for the common areas. I get they just took it over. But we were move 2x (rooms had water damage). The final room had cracks in the walls, a hole in the door, the carpet in the bathroom was stained and had a hole, the paint next to the shower was bubbling from water damage. There was problems with the tub grouting. Now. That being said - the room was clean. The kitchen appliances worked. The staff was great. The pool was awesome - they had floaties and all for everyone to use. I'm sure some rooms are more fully upkept than others, but ours was not. It was safe, it was fine. It just wasn't what I've come to expect from Sonesta and certianly not for what they're charging per night.

This is my first visit to Sonesta ES Suites Colorado Springs. I booked the stay solely on its location, near my planned visit. What a surprise! The property is clean and well staffed. Teresa was a delight at check in. Second surprise, my room was easily twice the size of rooms ice recently stayed in for about the same price. I'll look for Sonesta options when booking future stays.

Surprised with good reviews, this is a very old motel that was dirty, smelled of marijauna and was very loud all night

I think we’ve stayed at Sonesta suites for the last time, the area was not very safe. There was a gun fight one of the nights, a lot of the appliances didn’t work, including the fridge, and the place just needs a complete remodel. The other party we came with - their dishwasher was not even really hooked up to the unit so it was flopping everywhere and I think anyone would be better off to stay at a Holiday Inn, or some thing other like that.

Fine place. These are old apartments that have been turned into a hotel. Good if you want more privacy and you can cook in the rooms no problem (need to bring your own cookware). Might have a walk to the lobby for breakfast if you plan on eating what they provide.

Overall the place was great, friendly staff. Clean room, quiet room. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy though, but safe. I’d stay there again.

The stay was great, staff was polite, room was clean and comfortable. It’s just the outside of the rooms and area just isn’t all that pleasant. Otherwise we really enjoyed our night at your property.

It was in a very shady part of town. Totally false advertising from pictures shown on website. The reviews I read ,I really wonder where they came from? People live here for one reason or another, to me never a good sign. The window coverings were atrocious and dirty looking. They even had the nerve to still charge me for one night what a rip off didn’t stay. Worst hotel booking experience ever.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. But, heat stopped working in our first room. We had to move to a different building at 10pm. No one could assist us bc only one person was working and had to stay at the desk. They wouldn't let keys work in both rooms at once, so we had to pack everything, and have one person stay in the first room while I moved everything myself. Then, 2 days later, the new room had a flood in the kitchen! The staff on the second night was much more helpful.

It is an older property and sadly, not well kept. Room was not as pictured. It was disappointing to see the stained carpet and furniture. The dishwasher didn't work and the kitchen table was wobbly. There were people smoking right outside our door. However staff was courteous and the manager was super helpful and polite. People were great, but the place needs serious updating.

The first room (214) had a few minor issues, like drawers that almost fell out when you pulled on them and the bathroom vent needed to be cleaned, but otherwise it was fine. The second room (514) was much better. The best part is the breakfast. On Wednesday morning they had one of the best biscuits and sausage gravy I have ever tasted. Unfortunately we only got it once during our stay. The location is very convenient... just 15 minutes to Garden of the Gods and you are right on Academy Blvd so you can get everywhere else pretty quickly.

Tracy, the exceptional receptionist, helped me resolve my angst about a negative situation with another property. Also, not having had a home fire for two years, I so appreciated having a wood burning fire....so comforting and soothing. Being mobility impaired, I would have been more comfortable accessing this room if there has been a railing up the steps.
