    The property is a bit run down but the staff is always great and pleasant. Shout out to the Chef! Good breakfast! I stayed on the 4th floor, the room was clean and nicer than the 1st and 2nd floors. I continue to stay here because of the staff, breakfast and affordability.

    Property looks outdated with worn fixtures and mismatched light bulbs. Carpet and walls have stains from use overtime. If your looking for an overnight stay then this place serves it’s purpose.

    The hotel is next to a movie theater and someone in the parking lot was using their bass speakers extremely loud and you could hear it from the 6th floor. The elevator was a bit sketchy. But the room was very clean, for the age of the hotel it was excellent. The bed was comfy. I didn’t eat their breakfast. The water was hot. Overall decent.

    NOTHING......We were rejected at the front desk....they did NOT honor our CONFIRMED RESERVATION stating we used a 3rd party to place a reservation ......(BOOKING.COM) Some of the staff were very rude......They rebooked our "confirmed reservation"....We even received a "welcoming text" from La Quinta Inn & Suites saying they were anxiously waiting our arrival..... Parking lot had some of shady characters roaming around looking at different vehicles....then driving off, after I asked what they were doing. NEVER even received a follow-up call from La Quinta Inn management apologizing for "THEIR SCREW-UP ! "

    Booked our stay through hotels.com and traveled six hours to get to our destination. Arrived at 12:30 am and was told they were overbooked and that they were sorry… nothing else… sat in the parking lot calling other hotels to find availability. Found one half an hour later. At the very least the front desk person could have called other properties on our behalf.

    Well, online the pics look nice but this place makes Bates Motel look warm and inviting. Trash in the lot greets you as you enter the place. The staff was polite but the room was not ready, so we waited. Upon entering the room it seemed clean but when lights come on, you could see dust and dirt. The TV came on the first night but would not work the other 3 days. Free breakfast consisted of old sausage patties and a dried up crusty waffle maker that attracted a line. Coffee was fine but they put out No creamer for 2 days. Stay if your a cheapskate like me but be prepared to clean and eat out.

    I booked this on the fly same day and turned up only to find the hotel was fully booked and I had no room....Expedia computers are not sync'd with LaQuinta and this was a fiasco....now I am waiting for a refund from the hotel....even though they refused my reservation. You get what you pay for at this location.

    So being a La Quinta you think super nice upkeep a plus. My review is it is definitely a loder building so things are going to seem and feel old. It was a place to sleep while we were there didn't spend much time there besides bedtime. Breakfast definitely wasn't that's what I have to say about that. Good place to just sleep.

    .we stayed 2 different nights at 2 different locations. i hope this is the hotel that gave us a beautiful room set up like a real residence. the couch was separate from the bedroom. My husband was able to enjoy sleeping longer while i rearranged our luggage. i had a hard time navigating the website. i cant even tell you which one i finally settled on.

    I am very upset and disappointed with this Inn. We arrived early that morning and knew immediately this location was not safe for our stay. We were pulling a cargo trailer with our Harley. Our intention was to take scenic rides in Colorado. I told the clerk our plans and that this area was not safe. I told her I needed to cancel the reservation. She provided the Booking.com number. I called and had the reservation cancelled but was informed it was up to the hotel to enforce or waive the penalty. I asked the clerk to waive the penalty due to the circumstances. She said the penalty would not be waived. I also sent a request via the email provided by Booking.com requesting the same. To date, I have received no reply.

    The location was great. It was close to restaurants and shopping and the Broadmoor Seven Falls. The staff was not helpful when our TV didn’t work properly. And I was told to check the settings on the tv and make sure the internet was connected, and if it was then he “didn’t know what to tell me”. The bed needs a new mattress, it had a major slope in it and felt like a very large person has been sleeping on one side for the last few years. In the morning we went to shower and there was no hot water. The room door was very loose and you could see light coming in all the way around the door between the door and the frame, the AC didn’t blow cold even though I tried all settings and had it set at 65, we kept waking up in a sweat. When we went downstairs at 8am on a Sunday for breakfast all the tables were dirty, the trash cans were full and the breakfast was very lacking already. Bread but no jelly. Eggs but no bacon or sausage. It seems the person running their “kitchen” isn’t ordering properly because the lady in the kitchen area said they are ALWAYS out of stuff by the weekend every weekend. That’s just poor customer service and planning, technically poor management to not plan properly for weekends when you are busiest.

    This location was a very good location in which to stay near our needed to be at locations. We had a decent room but the room was tired looking and in need of updating. We had one issue in the bathroom where a small roach came out and was dealt with immediately. The hotel could have made more money by stocking up the drinks and snacks area. The breakfasts were okay but better options would have been nice along with better coffee. The staff was always friendly and where they could be they were accommodating. We have not share some of these items with the front desk as we were busy trying to get to our various locations. We tried to even stay at another La Quinta in Flagstaff, AZ but they had a elevator that was broken and no more down stairs rooms. We did see that the pool was without water and that would have been nice to know ahead of the booking. The location was convienent to where we needed to be for the week. We liked that there were many restaurants and shopping options nearby too.

    They only had one person working and it took waiting in line for 20 minutes to check in. Walked into the room to a broken window. Went back to talk to the receptionist after waiting for 30 minutes. They responded that they knew about the window. They had no other rooms. They said they gave me a refund but I have yet to see it. I had to book another hotel but was glad after seeing how this place was ran.

    I booked this room for my daughter who was coming to visit. Upon arrival, when I helped them carry their stuff up, the entire room smelled like ammonia and we had to open the window. The next day, I saw an extra $500 charge on my card, and they said it was due to someone smoking in the room. The date and time they said that happened, my daughter was sitting in my backyard. So it could not have been her. So either something malfunctioned or some smoke wafted into the room because we had the window open but either way, she was not in the room to smoke in It. I am trying to get a refund on that $500, but I cannot get ahold of anybody at the hotel. Every single time I call, the managers in a meeting or the managers too busy, so I sent an email and still no one has gotten back to me. It is like they are ignoring me on purpose. We did sign a paper stating that they could take $500 if we smoke in the room. But once we told them that it was not us, and I'm sure it would be easy to prove by seeing that on the cameras that we left at 9AM that morning and did not come back until 10 PM at night. That it would be easy to see it wasn't us. Which technically means they stole $500 out of my account. Because we didn't sign anything that says they can just take $500 out whenever they want because some detector went off. This has been a horrible experience, and I am still dealing with it.

    Hotel was just nasty. I booked it for 3 nights and I cancelled the last 2 nights. The lobby carpet was so dirty. It took almost 30 mins just to check in with only 2 people ahead of me. I originally requested the 1st floor due to disability on one of the party that was with me and it was not given. The room was not cleaned. The carpet was never vacuumed and there was a fake eyelash on the night stand and the refrigerator did not work. Breakfast was not appealing either. Coffee area had a dirty coffee station. I then later found out another guest complained about their room was also dirty as I was checking out.. Hotel is not recommended.

    There was a persistent beeping on my floor for the whole time. I addressed it with 2 different staff members and I was told it would be taken care of but it wasn’t. Thankfully we were gone for 90% months f the day. The morning after we checked in we declined house keeping because we just got there. In the 4 nights we stayed, they never came back any other day to clean the room or refresh towels. For the price we should have known, but I’ve stayed at other La Quintas and they were much better.

    It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I reserved two rooms weeks in advance. When we arrived they the motel staff said they only had one room reserved. I showed them my itinerary confirmation from the motel and it showed 1 night, 2 adults, 2 rooms. The staff were not very helpful at all. They told me to contact the hotel.com phone number and ask them and to figure it out. The staff is incompetent and do not know how to handle business in a professional manner. They told me they could help but they had to take care of their other customers first and to step aside. I have never experienced this type of behavior from any motel staff. I’ll never stay in another La Quinta motel for the rest of my life.

    There was no hot water or body soap to shower with. Also no water pressure in shower. The carpet had debris in it and the ceiling was not clean. The door safety latches were missing. Last but not least, there was no soap at the bathroom sink. We WILL NOT stay here again.

    During check in, I was asked if I wanted to charge the card on file via Expedia or to pay with a different card. I requested twice to pay with a different card (I wanted to get miles) The front desk representative charged my card on file anyways. When I reminded her I specifically asked her two times to not do that, her response was “Well, it is too late now.” The front desk representative was also very slow during the check in process. It took 25 minutes from me asking to check in before I was able to get the keys. When I arrived in the room, I went to shower immediately. The shower was covered in hair. It was obvious the room was not throughly cleaned. Another note on the cleanliness of the property, as I was checking in, another guest came down to the representative and shared that housekeeping was refusing to clean his room. When he checked in the night before, the bed was covered in hair and liquids… he slept on the floor that night as housekeeping was not there to help. The front desk was very rude to him regarding this situation.

    This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would NEVER stay here again, you couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel. Even if you pay In full 1 1/2 weeks before you show up, they give your room away and say sorry not my problem. They did not have an extra blanket or pillow even.     I had high hopes when I made this reservation. I have stayed here before and it was very nice. I should've remembered it had been several years since I last stayed here, and it was a time when people truly cared about their job and not just wanting the paycheck to play on their phone. The room was ok, just ok. Not super clean. But the staff just seemed to not give two cents if you stayed there or not, if they helped you or not. A $150 security deposit is put on your card when you check in, I found that ironic. And in the room in two or three places there are reminders to tip... nope. If you can stay at one of the other hotels around there, do so. This one needs some real attention.

    We needed somewhere to stay for the night last minute and this was the only hotel that had availability in the area. It is very outdated, needs some work. Our rooms front door latch was broken, so we could only use the door handle lock. The bathrooms lock was broken. The shower/tub was not pleasant looking. Toilet had a hard time flushing. Other than that the check in clerk was nice. The fridge/microwave was nice to have.

    The hotel is outdated. The beds we got were broken to where it would sink into the middle. The room was dirty when we arrived. There were no clean towels and we asked for extra blankets and didn't get any. We got a crib that was filthy, dust came out of it when I set it up. The breakfast wasn't too good either. They didn't have milk or hot coffee. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here. We stayed for 4 nights and not once did they come in to clean the room.

    I booked thru Hotels.com, when I got there they added $150 for incidentals and $25 for a pet. Both ok. I was sad that the advertised hot tub was not available but ok. When I checked out, I noticed there was a $59.72 charge with no idea what it was. I asked the front desk and they didn't have any idea. The incidentals were reversed and the pet charge was reversed, which was great but there was still the $59.20 charge that has actually went through. Am I paying for this room twice and how many other people have paid twice? I'm in the process of trying to get the $59.20 charge reversed. This is ridiculous.! And yes, I'm prepared to get lawyers involved! It is it resolved quick I will definitely not use that hotel which is the La Quinta of Lake Avenue in Colorado Springs I will also not use hotels.com

    They do allow pets, apparently. Cool if you're traveling with a pet I guess, but I was worried there would be did barking so night, but no, in fact it was really quiet. The rooms are really big, and everything was clean and pretty nice. Not, like, luxury accommodations, but much nicer than a "budget" hotel. I mean, I paid Motel 6 money, and it's way, way nicer than that. I will likely be in Colorado Springs a few times this summer, and I'll absolutely see what the rates are here. I'd stay again, especially if I can get a room that cheap. Oh, I was towing a race car, and the parking lot adjoins a huge movie theater lot, so very easy to park, and nothing was messed with, do seems at least reasonably safe.

    Property was poorly lit. Room cards were not working properly even after letting staff know. Back side door was always propped with a rock to keep the door open for either staff convenience or guest convenience. This makes the property unsafe because anyone can enter the area who doesn’t belong there. Very unsatisfactory in my opinion.

    The room was overbooked, and instead of offering a solution or assisting us in finding alternative accommodations, the staff member informed us we had only 20 minutes to sit in the lobby to figure it out ourselves. This was especially frustrating since it’s was almost midnight and other guests were allowed to remain without issue. Based on this experience, I would not consider booking with La Quinta Inns & Suites again.

    2-night stay - check-in was easy & great. Questionable guest staying there - foul language/yelling between midnight & 3am. The next night that guest was gone, but someone decided to do 360's in the adjacent parking lot between hotel & movie theatre. The room itself was relatively clean, but needed many small repairs. Overall, for the $ I paid, it was okay, but would definitely not stay there again. It's not up to par with all the other La Quinta Inns at which I've stayed. No use of pool/hot tub as they were outside, so understandable for the typical March weather in CO Spgs., justifying the lower rate.

    The room was decent, there was a plumbing issue so we didn’t get to stay in our requested room. Then we were wrongly charged for smoking in a non smoking room. This charge was placed back on my account but it was a hardship on my traveling expense. The breakfast had hair in the eggs. I would not wish to stay at the hotel again by choice. If I had to, the beds were decent if you’re in a pinch for somewhere to stay.

    False fire alarm went off at ~1 am. Because they were not able to reset it properly, it went off 3 more times each about an hour apart. When we checked in, there was an alarm by the elevator that kept chirping and needed attention. Not sure if that led to the problem, but it certainly indicated that their system was not being maintained properly.

    The toilets were stained, a chair in the lobby was broken and it took me 10 minutes to get out of it. The bread at breakfast was moldy. The elevators were dirty and beaten up. The desk chair was worn out. No tissues and not much toilet paper. The lobby was freezing cold. The microwave in the lobby was filthy.

    This was honestly the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The heater didn’t work right. The door wouldn’t open. The beds were terrible. It says it’s 100% non smoking but you can tell it has been smoked in before. It’s a VERY old hotel that has not been kept up. I would never recommend or stay there again!!

    My other complaint is the sheets were like sand paper, very starchy. Yuck. The continental breakfast was the worse selections I have seen. Partly because at 7:30 they were out of eggs and sausage/bacon and never refilled before I left at 8. But it was cheap and I was able to sleep.

    The lady at the front desk was so kind and doing a great job. However I booked a king size bed and when I got there, I was informed they didn’t have a king or queen size bed for me. They only had two doubles. When I got to my room, the first thing I noticed was that the doorknob was broken. Then upon entering the room there was a huge gross stain on the floor, one of the double beds you could tell had been laid on and there was trash and oats on the floor. I was afraid to walk around barefoot because of how dirty it was. There was hair in the bathroom and they only provided 2 bars of soap and 4 bottles of shampoo. I will not be staying there again.

    When we arrived we got room 322, within 5-10 minutes of being there we noticed the room was very dirty, the carpets had stains everywhere, the night stands had sticky like stains on the as well, we traveled with a toddler and she was finding stuff everywhere, she at one point found a gummy bear and tried to eat it, luckily I caught her before that happened. Immediately went to front desk and requested another room, they gave us 622 without questions. This second room was cleaner but not clean. The location was great but was not pleased with the whole stay. The second room was not once cleaned in the whole stay, so I had to go request clean towels.

    The pictures on the website are outdated and misleading. The outside area surrounded with trash and homeless people wandering through the parking lot. The breakfast is nothing like the photos just eggs and sausage waffles none of the other things in the photo. The fitness area has even less equipment than in the photos and things were out of order. Despite it claiming to be a smoke free hotel as soon as you walk in it smells like cigarettes in the lobby, hallways, elevator. Our door didn’t work properly it literally has a note stuck above it on how to open it. Our hotel keycard kept deactivating and we’d have to go down to the front to get a new one. The AC in the room didn’t work despite having it on 60 degrees and high the whole time you would’ve thought we had no fan on at all. And on top of all of this despite when booking it shows the price and says ‘all taxes and fees included in price’ we had to pay an additional $150 deposit at the time of check in.

    The room was dirty and you could see hairs all over the bathroom floor. The fire alarm was covered with plastic, I told the receptionist and they said it wasn’t supposed to be there. Another example of how they don’t clean or notice what’s going on in there rooms. We went down for breakfast at 7:45am (breakfast is 6am-9am) and they ran out of eggs and sausage with a note saying they wouldn’t have more until the next day when there supplier came. They only had white bread to toast and a few muffins to offer. Will not be coming back!

I tried asking where I could get water and other than a container that seemed like had been there all day there was no other option. The bed was old and not the most comfortable.

    The room was very clean except I thought we were getting a room with two queen beds. It was a room with two full-size beds. Check-in was very easy. It wasn’t too noisy. We stayed there because it was in walking distance to a concert we were going to the next morning, the continental breakfast Was a little disappointing. There were approximately 15 to 20 guests trying to have breakfast and there was no eggs and no sausage or bacon ready. There was only cereal, toast, yogurt, etc., while we ate our toast and yogurt the eggs and meat or sausage was never replenished.

    My room was stale. It seemed that it had not been used in a while and had a musty smell. I had to buy air freshener and room deodorizer. Being handicap (limited walking with cane),my room was at the back of the hotel at the end of the hall. It was a hard walk for me. The beds were alright.

    There are signs that say the hotel is smoke free, but we saw cigarette butts in the elevator and it smelled like smoke. The pool had leaves in it that weren’t cleaned out. I guess you get what you pay for, but I’ve never stayed in a La Quinta that was so dirty.

    Lobby carpet and hallways had lots of stains and b. Smelled bad when I got to my door you could just turn the handle and walk in. You did not need a key card to enter my room. No remote for the TV. I went to the front desk she gave me a remote and a paper to program the remote. The batteries were dead, so I had to go get another remote. That one did not work, either the batteries were dead. They sent their maintenance guy. He brought a remote if you finally got it programmed to turn the TV on and the volume, but it would not change the channels. When the maintenance guy came, I showed him the door that you did not need a key card to open the door he said he would make sure maintenance knows about it.And it'd be a good idea to use the locks. They did not offer me another room. When you got out of the elevator the hall stunk, I don't know what the smell was and the same with the rooms I was very dissatisfied with my stay. I stayed there the week prior and the only reason why I went back. There was because I knew I could park my semi there. But I will not stay at that hotel again. The first day was the same, but the room carpet was even worse than the carpet in room that I stayed in this time and the smell in the room was the same on my first stay.

    If I could rate a negative -10 I would this hotel was the worst place we’ve ever stayed at, We went to visit our daughter who is stationed at Fort Carson and had to stay the last 3 days with her because it was so disgusting and dirty. It states a smoke free hotel but the entire hotel reeked of smoke We’ve travelled all over the world and this place was by far the worst. The clerk that checked me out and yes I checked out early even though they had already charged my card for the majority of my stay when I checked in which was an extended stay, I will also be sending my complaints to the hotel directly. I don’t think the carpets have ever been they smelled and looked like they’ve been soiled. I wouldn’t recommend my anyone to stay there.

    Not a very good first impression, when arriving there was a planter that should have had flowers or something in it, but it was covered in cigarette butts.The room definitely needs a makeover, carpet was coming up, very, very slow, drain, there was some hair on the shower wall, which totally grossed me out. And the TV volume did not work, couldn’t change it up or down. It was just at one volume, which was on the low side.The air conditioner, which was very good ,noisy but good. We had to turn the air conditioner off to hear the TV. we brought our small dog with us. They had dog stations available, but there was no dog bags. Unfortunately, there are some bad dog owners out there that do not bring poop bags.

    We’ve had great experiences at other La Quinta properties, but this location was extremely disappointing and concerning. The first room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff were polite and upgraded us, but the suite we received was in unacceptable condition. There were large, sticky stains across the carpet, a dark red stain on the couch, and what appeared to be red splatter marks on the wall — very unsettling. The hotel itself is outdated and poorly maintained. Trash bins outside were overflowing for two days and the odor was overwhelming. This property does not meet basic cleanliness or safety standards. We would not stay here again and strongly urge management to address these serious issues.

    The property is understaffed and filthy (the carpet in our room was frayed and so stained that it looked like a murder took place there), there was a large enough gap between the door and the door frame to peek through (or easily open the door), and only one elevator was in service. The hairdryer would heat up but not blow air, making it dangerously hot and completely useless. When I took the hairdryer off the wall and brought it to the front desk I was not offered a replacement. In fact, I was told that not all the rooms even had a hairdryer.

    In my opinion breakfast was not worth going downstairs for. Days Inn or Travel Lodge has a better grab and go breakfast. I felt as if they were not even trying. I stay at La Quintas in different cities/states, and this has been one of the worse breakfast selections I have had. The room was just okay. It was nothing fancy. The door looked as if it had been broken into at one point. I can honestly say when it comes to staying here again, I cannot say I definitely would. Also adding another night and another hold on another $150 is ridiculous.

    I was very disappointed in my one night stay here. They charge a 150.00 deposit that isn’t returned to you for 2weeks, which was not mentioned anywhere in the hotel information here. The lobby is the most clean part of the property, when I got to the hallway outside of my room there were mountains of trash piled up next to the large full trash can.(I regret I didn’t take pictures) the room was ok, just ok. There was a deep depression in the worn out mattress which seemed to keep swallowing me during the night. There were pubic hairs in the shower I didn’t discover until the next morning. I went down for the breakfast which was included and was discouraged to find a few slices of bread to toast. The front desk clerk was standing in front of the toaster and she had a bagel she was fixing so I asked her if there were any more and she told me she had brought it from home. There were a few crumbles of scrambled eggs in a tray next to an empty tray I assumed once had sausage or bacon in. I moved on over to the waffle station which was filthy, it was covered in dried batter that looked to be at least days old. I gave up on eating anything and moved to coffee. There was one empty carafe and a full one of hot water. No coffee. I gave up and went to return to my room and waited a very long time for the elevator, when I asked the front desk if something was wrong with the elevator I was told it works on and off! I walked up 6 stories back to my room! Awful …stay away!

    Breakfast was terrible, few choices and the eggs were so watery. Sausage patties had an odor to them. Elevator by the main desk could use a service. Our room keys stopped working twice and then the lock took a moment to react to the key card swipe. No toiletries in the bathroom (soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, creamer packets). One of the beds in our room was not fully bedded with linen and super thin pillows. Evidence of water damage is showing around the tub and toilet areas of the wall. Only one staff member working the front desk during peak hours the entire stay. We were not granted an early check in or late checkout even though we had driven 16 hours. Super sub par experience. We won’t be booking here again for our future reoccurring trips to Colorado Springs.

    There was never enough food prepared AND ready to refill at any given day. We were also charged f..r Benjamin’s for a bogus smoking charge when no one in my family smokes anything, no vapes, nothing! Hotel trusted more in their faulty system than to hear anything we had to say or ask. Staff was completely hateful…namely Josephine Heger (Assist. Gen. Mgr.) and pee-on Heather. They also said corporate applied the charge when Customer Care line called her a liar when I spoke to them and staff at the same time. The hotel charged the fee and could remove it but refused. I recorded every conversation that took place to prove we tried to abate the issue to no avail on their end. According to web searches, LaQuinta and Wyndham hotels are notorious for charging bogus “smoking” fees to guests, especially those who are definitely non-smokers like us. We also had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door the entire time we were there and they entered the room twice without knowledge or permission!

    I actually stayed here the other weekend with my child, originally we had rented out an air bnb for fhe weekend but when we got to the bnb it was so disgusting we decided to check into a hotel. We checked into the laquinta instead and had such a better experience and weekend after. My daughter loved playing in the pool and absolutely loved our room. It was cleanly,comfortable, and safe thank you for giving us a safe clean place to rest our heads at. Breakfast in the morning was also yummy and they always had fresh coffee available . I would definitely stay here again with my child thank you.

    Location was great, but they seemed to be short on staff. The front desk was often abandoned so that person could help to serve breakfast or assist guests elsewhere. Breakfast was very stressful as the staff was very overwelmed and often short with guests. The one water dispenser in the lobby was often empty and only filled once a day. The hair dryer in my room did not work. Reported to the front desk, but was not replaced. Pool was not heated. Not many outdoor tables/seats and many were in bad shape or broken.

    Awful! They charged a 150.00 deposit regardless of debit or credit card that I was not expecting to have to pay so had to do some scrambling to figure that out so I wish that had been made clear when i booked. The. the a/c was not working when we got to our room and it was 96 degrees out so upon going down to talk to someone about that, the guy at the front desk when we checked in did not seem very interested in helping do anything about that. The a/c did finally kick in about 3 am, it didn’t run the greatest but it at least cooled the room down enough it was tolerable. All that being said the lady who checked us out I felt went above and beyond so she made up for the first guy. Still waiting for the deposit to come back, hoping the delay is just because it’s a weekend.

    This property should be removed from the Expedia site. Apparently it was a "franchise" as the front desk kept telling us. La Quinta needs to take the franchise away from them. When we reached our floor we noticed the wreak of urine in the halls. The room across us was broken into with a crow bar apparently by paramedics in the past, but wasn't a very comforting feeling when we walked down the hall. It wasn't as if this just happened and nothing was done to replace door (we were' there for over a week). Hall carpets not vacuumed or stairs (we used the stairs quite often since the elevator was really slow). Once in the room, the mattress box was stained, smoke alarm was on the dresser, iron was missing and hair dryer. The front desk did get the smoke alarm reconnected, got us an iron and blow dryer. We were told that ten rooms would have to check out so maybe they could get one from one of those rooms. Breakfast was non existent. We were there over Fourth of July weekend and they didn't have eggs for two days, after that I don't know because I gave up on the breakfast. What there was available was not replenished . Cleanliness was poor. Stained carpets, dressers that haven't been wiped down in forever. Routine maintenance non existent. We couldn't leave because there was no where we could go due to everything being full.

    As a frequent traveler, I've stayed at a wide variety of accommodations. My two-day stay at this La Quinta in southern Colorado Springs was horrific and exhausting! The initial day, the pool was closed early, there were several bird feathers in the eating area/commons near the front desk, and excessive noise and alcohol bottles sitting in the hallway ( fourth floor). The second night, an intensively loud and prolonged incident involving the local police disturbed much of my sleep. Then, when I tiredly stumbled to the commons area for breakfast, it appeared sonewhat dirty and the egg dish was empty, etc. I'm quite upset about the fact that I paid an excessive amount (per night) to stay in such a low-grade and unpleasant hotel.

    We had roaches! More importantly, I also almost lost my life when I plugged in the iron! The iron cord was cut in two pieces. It smoked up the room and after that we had no power in the room, except in the restroom!!! My hand felt the shock initially, but I was hurt.     This was the dirtiest room we have ever been in. The carpet was filthy, bathroom dirty, couch was stained, walls were stained. The pool was outside and that is why I gave it 2 stars.

    The door handle didn’t function properly for room entry, toilet wasn’t functioning and the A/C required attention. The overnight front desk gentleman was kind and used a machine to get the door open for me. There wasn’t personnel available to fix the toilet. I was disappointed in my stay and with the property. When I checked out the woman at the front desk told me that it’s an old hotel and they’re working on it. Why rent a room that isn’t functioning properly, it’s unsafe and unsanitary? Even the shower was not clean….the matting on the shower floor was gray with use and wear.

    Check in was quick and easy. Once we got to the room, quickly realized how dated the hotel was. Everything was from the 80’s. Fridge was not plugged, microwave did not work, not enough plug in’s, lamps didn’t work. Went to the outside pool, and it is ice cold in July!! We saw guest after guest come and want to swim, and couldn’t because it was so cold! Being in Colorado it really needs to be heated or inside. Overall the hotel is very dated and ran down! Very disappointing.

    The property was filthy & unsafe. There was dog hair covering the carpets in the hallway, trash cans were overflowing in the lobby, the room reeked of mold, the bathtub was stained black, multiple parking lot lights were out, previous guests left knife holes in the curtains and wall attempting to get them to close. An exit only door kept getting propped open which the staff was aware of but did nothing about it, providing access to questionable/non-guests and the homeless person digging through the trashcan just outside the propped open door. They were out of most food at breakfast by 7:30.

Price was too high for all this wrong. Felt like I was staying in a motel 6. Came to town for family emergency and was not able to shop around for another place and all the rooms were booked at this one. Want stay again

    There was no screen on the window and its latch was broken, could not be locked and we were on the 6th floor. No glass round in the microwave...couldn't use. Lobby microwave didn't have one in it either. Front desk was aware, didn't seem to care. Vent in bathroom was extremely caked with dirt and possibly mold. Breakfast was a 'get there quick or it's gone'...no replacements of scrambled eggs or sausage. We asked if we could go to our room 35 minutes early and they charged us ten dollars for that. AND, you had to sign an indemnity clause that holds them harmless if you hurt yourself on the property, get things stolen from your room, and a litany of other possibilities.

    I arrived at the hotel by 6pm and I was told that my room was not ready. I made a comment that check in time was 3pm and I was told 3pm is not guaranteed and if I wanted to, I could cancel my reservation (totally unacceptable). Finally at 7:40pm I was able to check in. Also I was not happy that my check in deposit was $150. I am very disappointed and in the future will think twice before booking your hotel. I feel the lack of communication by the staff couldve been much better. If I had been given a courtesy call to let me know that a room was not ready, I wouldve made other plans until checkin time.

    Unfortunately, the motel's Internet connection was down all day and into the night of our stay. Management did the best they could to cope with the situation, but it was highly frustrating for all. Secondly, the restrooms next to the main desk needed some attention at 10 pm. after we arrived back from a concert. They obviously had not been checked all day.

    This was a last minute booking as I had a change of plans while on a road trip. The room was not very clean. The carpet looked like it needed a deep cleaning with various substances on it, including what looked like blood. There was what looked like jelly on the wall. The night stand was gross and I ended up cleaning it with a wet wash cloth and some hand soap. The sheets and towels appeared to be clean. I raised these issues to the front desk at check out (I was too tired the night before). They offered to credit my stay. I still have not received the email they claimed they were going to send for that. I also have not received my $150 incidental deposit back and it has been a week.

    One thing i appreciated was the communication with staff since we were doing a late check in. I got a room for my mother and right away after check out she was shaking her head never again. She said it was filthy, the carpets smelled like pee in the hallways. The elevators were dirty. The bathroom and room overall doesn’t appear to be cleaned properly. Lining was dirty so they had to remove two pillows. The headboards were dirty. Coffee wasn’t out throughout the day and there was no creamers. Overall, hard pass for this location in the future. Which is unfortunate as La Quinta Inns have been nice in various locations we’ve stayed.

    the checking, the room , the amenities... all perfect. what was not perfect was the breakfast; I went down at 8:30am, which is no very late, and many things were missing; I requested the ladies at the desk to replenish, and it took sometime for one of them to quit the screen and move to the kitchen, but she came back saying they were out of bagels, yogourt, omelette...     This delay disrupted the start of my trip, and I couldn’t reach management to discuss the issue. The breakfast area was poorly maintained, with no staff available to restock beverages or food—there wasn’t even water or coffee available. I originally planned to stay for two nights, but due to these issues, I decided to leave early. My friends, who were also staying at the hotel, dealt with additional problems including a broken TV, a non-working refrigerator, and no hot water in their room. Based on this experience, I’ll be much more cautious when booking accommodations in the future.

    The room was not clean and it took 2 days to clean the room. The breakfast was non existent. We got there before 7and the front desk said no more food was going out. It took more people complaining for them to do something. On our last day they cleaned our room. The elevator was broken and the second floor smelled bad. I usually don’t have a problem with LaQuinta but this one needs work in Colorado Springs. I have photos but I don’t want to put them out.

    The hotel was dirty. Dogs and dog poop all over the property. The hotel smelled gross. We didnt spend much time in the hotel so we didnt care about that much. However, we checked out at 8 am on our last day and drove to texas. By 11 am we were in new mexico. We were charged that evening for smoking. When i called to ask them why they said someone smoked in my room between 11 am and 12 pm. Considering final check out is 11am anyways it wouldnt have been my room anymore even if we stayed until checkout. When i informed the front desk that i did not smoke nor was i even in the room at the time the alarm alertes to smoking let alone in the state anymore they said there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to the manager 4 days in a row with an answer that she was not there or was busy. I completed the grievance form they emailed with still no response 5 days later. The last girl i spoke to had the nerve to tell me to chill the f out. I just want my $400 back and ill chill.

    This was overall a very bad experience. The bathroom in the lobby was totally dirty and not cleaned. I also had a check in time at 3 PM and I literally showed up at 6:45 PM and I was told that housekeeping is behind and there are not rooms available. Which is so ridiculous considering I was several hours past check in time. This left me to have to go to another hotel location and having to pay much more, as I had to book the same day. PICK ANOTHER HOTEL IF YOU KNOW WHAT’S GOOD FOR YOU!

    This place is disgusting! I have never been in such a filthy room. Burn marks in the carpet, hair on the counter in the bathroom, garbage on the floor, stains all over the floor, and dirt on the bathroom floor.     However the keys did not work well making it an adventure each time we tried to get into the room. Even switching keys for the 2nd night didn't solve the problem. In addition, there was NO TV remote in the room. We called the front desk to rectify it. The attendant said she'd have to go to another room to get one. None came. In reaching back out, she said she couldn't leave the front desk and nobody else was around. We did not have TV access, therefore, throughout our stay, and the lack of service in solving the problem was disturbing.

    Check in went smooth but our room wasn’t ready because they were shampooing the carpet. When we did get in our room, there was a very strong odor, reminiscent of wet dog. We also found that the window to our second floor room was left open, probably to air out the smell” but this left it very unsafe for our kids. There was no screen or anything preventing anything or anyone from flying out the window. The TV didn’t work, and bathroom/shower floors were not in great shape. Half of the outlets in the room either didn’t work or were extremely over crowded with cords. Breakfast was fine but not good.

    I had a first floor room. While the door was a bit difficult to open due to the handle needing to be fixed it was an excellent stay. And i figured with the door handle being the way it was, was just extra security for me. The room was clean, and well arranged. The king bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The whole room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. It was a quiet peaceful stay.

    My door didn’t close all the way unless I slammed it. But it could still be pushed open enough that a person could see in without opening the door.     Asked for room to be cleaned first thing in the morning. It was not when I got back that night. I went to the desk and asked for clean sheets. The front desk lady stated they were out of king sized sheets so none of the king rooms were being cleaned. I stated they could have washed and dried the set I had on there. She said I should have requested it in the morning, which I did. After going back and forth I finally convinced her to go look. She found “one last set” and I had to convince her to get me another comforter as well. The elevator remakes of weed and cigarette smoke. There were multiple bags of trashed left stinking on the second floor. The bed was awfully uncomfortable. Front desk workers were friendly though.

    The hotel was great, a nice clean room, although double rather than queen beds, good service, typical hotel buffet breakfast, etc. The only thing I didn't like is that rather than put a hold on our card for the incidentals, they charge the card for the full amount ($150), and then "release" it after you leave, which means you may not get the money back for a few days. That's a problem for my family, when we're already tight on funds.

    Not a place I would ever stay again. For one the hold they put on your card is a hard charge never has that ever happened.     The location was convinient to a lot of restaurants and a huge movie theater, but it was loud from the busy street. The mattress was very soft and definitely well used so it was not comfortable. The breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, bagels and toast. Not much. Also the available items in the shop were very minimal. It was definitely on par for a $60/night room.

    The room service was non-existent, desk person wasn't there. Guests were smoking pot in rooms and nothing was done. No handle on bathroom door, mold in bathroom wall, bathroom was dirty, holes in wall patched but not painted, wall furnace was hanging loose, carpet had snags and stains. Parking area was a mess.

    At breakfast on Saturday morning their was someone sleeping on the couch in the breakfast room which made it very uncomfortable for all who was eating breakfast with their children. Then on Sunday breakfast, food was not restocked in over 1/2 an hour when we were eating. No one was maintaining the breakfast bar. The LaQuinta is rundown and needs to desperately needs remodeled. We were suppose to stay there in two weeks again but we canceled and never will go back to this LaQuinta. Pictures are attached!!!

    The hotel is old and reals of smokers. Totally disgusting. The heater in my room didn’t work. Just a gross hotel. Needs lot of work. Breakfast service was terrible. No cups for coffee. No trash cans to throw away trash. Terrible management.

    This was far And away the most rundown la Quinta I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was broken and badly repaired, or missing, or just disgustingly not taken care of. In our room, a lamp didn’t work, the heater only blew cold air, and the sofa bed wouldn’t come out, the hallways smell like smoke and the elevator smells like weed. Won’t ever go to this particular site ever again. I usually don’t write negative reviews of places, but this one has so many issues I had to let people know that this is far from the usual quality of la quintas. There are a LOT of options really close so don’t waste your money here.

    There is a $150.00 deposit required to cover "smoking" fee. They stated it would have been mentioned in the company website, when asked why it was NOT posted in the check in desk area, they said its against corporate policy, when I mentioned I have never paid that fee at a LaQuinta, they dropped it down to its the property owner that makes that decision. I firmly believe they are selective on who they charge that deposit to. After paying the $150 deposit, I was given a room that smelled like smoke and baby powder. Their cleaning fee is just a rip off, since I immediately requested another room, which they provided, but I am confused why that original room smelled like smoke and my "potential smoking fee" even if you do not smoke, you will be charged this fee. Hopefully I get my $150.00 back in 30 days cause I have zero faith in this place. Unfortunately, I was so tired, I did not have the energy to find another place and waste my time. Do NOT stay here. Horrible service. Have stayed in this area before with zero issues. Racist? Maybe. Do not stay here!

    The interstate was closed due to an accident so this was unexpected. The first room had hair in the bathroom and dirty countertop and the second was barely better, still with hair found on the towels. Dirty carpet, un-vacuumed, and the smell was old and musty. La Quinta, I am severely disappointed in you and will never stay in your hotels again. The neglect of this facility is apparent.

    Every member of the staff was extremely professional, friendly, and very responsive to any requests. Rooms were spacious and clean. The continental breakfast was awesome and filling, not just snack type food.

    Entire facility is old and outdated. There were a few hairs on the top sheet of the second "clean" bed. Carpeting in the room & halls is filthy and needs to be replaced. Room coffee was cheap and terrible. The door handle appeared not to be well aligned with the frame and could be easily pushed up or down, not the most secure fit. This hardware is as worn out as the rest of this hotel, really. The back door entrance had a door that wouldn't shut all the way unless you shoved it (hard) to close it. Then the card key reader doesn't work, which was apparently a known issue we overheard at the front desk. It's no wonder people weren't closing it completely. HOWEVER, that door does have a posted sign about how "safe" the premises are with their "locking" door. Hallways were really loud once people were up and about. BUT we were in town for NYE and wanted a cheap but decent place to stay that wasn't in the downtown area. There were no bedbugs so that's always a "win" in my book. And the area around is it awesome with shopping, restaurants, Tinseltown (a quick walk from this hotel) and easy access to I25. It was adequate for our needs for one night.

    I booked this room and paid for the room for a short 12-hour stay because I'm having an operation tomorrow up here in Colorado springs and surprise I get here and she wants $150 more dollars deposit that is returned in the morning when it's just me I just need a place to lay my head and rest for surgery so she won't even let me in my room to figure this out so I'm sitting outside in the freezing cold in my car this is a joke and I will never ever book at this hotel or any of your chains again. She can't even let me inside to stay warm in my room unbelievable
