Quiet location, very clean, good bed ! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful ! Great location if you're here to work at Fort Carson, while waiting to find a permanent location. There's fast food and a Safeway nearby.

The room was in bad condition from age and neglect. Bed was very hard, and the maid apparently forgot to include a bath towel. Sound came through the walls and outside as if in the room and the fan in the bathroom sounded like an engine. This is fine for people who like hard beds, but the area too was a bit seedy. Staff tried to be helpful. The picture is nothing like the room as it looks well kept.

We checked out a day early because the place was so bad. There was holes and/or stains on all the furniture including the bed. Horrible location and the included breakfast consist of chocolate cupcakes, twinkies, coffee and juice. The whole place is rundown and not in a safe location.

My experience was the female staff management was very rude to me took me back to the seventies I suppose tiger can't change its stripes nor can a leopard changes spots she's a throwback to Rodney King can we all just get along with my ancestors were the ones on the plantation her ancestors were the ones who had mine as slaves ECT. I do not understand what triggered her otherwise the stay was pleasant rooms clean Etc that's all
- 2.5/5
Bed was comfortable Breakfast was horrible, rice, crispy treats, and individually, packaged mini muffins, no cream for the coffee. Hotel is right next to I 25 and so it was incredibly noisy as well as right across the street from a park with a heavy homeless population.

Smoking rooms are available The TV didn't work, bad picture that kept pixellating making it unwatchable. Homeless everywhere. Constant traffic, doors slamming. The furniture was missing pieces and the floors were sticky. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and the cover fell off when I tried to turn it on. I woke have called the front desk about the TV but the phone did not work.

Inexpensive for a reason. Questionable neighborhood. Unfriendly staff. Listed as breakfast included which was a handful of mini donut packs. Property has trash all over the place.

Bad neighborhood and eat outdated inside and out

It is very unsafe to walk on your own although I was encouraged by front desk staff to walk downtown on my own. There is a homeless encampment right out front across the street and just outside the parking lot. People very high and urinating openly in the public. Often these people would make their way to the vending machine in the parking lot right near the entrance to my room which made me feel very uneasy. For safety and cleanliness I would not recommend. Front desk staff was friendly and admittedly noted the location was not safe.
- 1/5
Terrible place!
- 5/5
Noise in the area. But very clean and put together.
- 4/5
Nothing that the property can do about it but plenty of homeless in the area made it feel a bit sketchy. Manager made it clear wasn't a problem. Old property but room was comfortable and clean.
- 3/5
This hotel is surrounded by the homeless population. If I had known that I would have driven out of town like a bat out of hell! I felt paranoid and constantly looked out of the window to make sure my car was there. My husband agrees with me but he says he slept like a log.
- 2/5
The room was clean when we checked in. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked. While the maid did clean and make up the room after our first night, no service after the second night. It was defiantly a smoking room with holes burned in both bedspreads and blankets. The toilet seat was broken, (The lid was broken off)as well as the dresser being broken. This is a very cheap motel, so if all you want is a comfortable place to sleep at a low price, this place might work.

I had to have acdf surgery on three levels on my neck in the hospital. Is an hour drive away so I stayed at the hotel and it was a good price for what I needed
- 4/5
Parking sucks
- 2/5
It is an old hotel and they hardly provide maintenance and cleanliness, and we also ordered a non-smoking room and smelled a lot of cigarette smoke.
- 2/5
we arrived around 3:00 check in time was 2:00 room not ready. We had a event to go to so we had to change at a convience store. Also I called property early in week and explained person with me could not do stairs easily so they aaured me we would have street level room. When we arrived he had forgoten we had avreservation at all and we havevto climb stairs. We haven't even seen our room yet won't be back to property until very late. Homeless sleeping in parking lot when we checked in.
- 4/5
Great value! Not the best neighborhood but convenient. Close to the highway and downtown. Staff was professional and friendly and the room was clean and cool. If you don't mind the neighborhood I'd recommend it for the price and location. Glad I was in the second floor, though.😉
- 4/5
Was there for mu uncles funeral
- 5/5
What I liked about this hotel was the people. I got to the hotel about 3:00 AM after some horrible experiences with Southwest Airlines. The night manager worked with the Budget rental agent to help me get safely to the hotel. He was waiting and looking for me when I finally arrived. He also said he gave me the best room they had. I can not thank him enough. God bless you, Jay.
- 5/5
There were unhoused folks in the parking lot all four times I was in it, but I still had a positive experience at a great price.
- 5/5
Staff here was awesome made checking in easy. For the price you pay it's very much worth it. If you ever been homeless or experiencing homelessness this place is great and allows you to take a private shower and have some privacy while getting the rest you need. Thanks very much for your hospitality I appreciate you guys working here!
- 1/5
Even though I have stayed there multiple times before with no issues, for some reason this time they had problems not wanting to accept my form of ID - which they had no problem accepting it in the past.

- 5/5
I-25 access excellent.
- 2/5
Lights outside are very bright and stay on all night. Hard to sleep when the light brightens up the whole room and the neighbors are loud
- 1/5
We felt unsafe staying there and left within two hours of check-in, we lost the over $150 we spent, but could and would not stay there with my 18 year old son The room next door had the door propped open and the curtains open while loudly listening to adult content. approached by a woman in the parking lot who obviously had a room by the hour there (she waved hello to the front desk clerk while walking around the property), and saw two people assault a homeless person in front of the property.
- 4/5
Cleanliness needed a little work, however I am a neat freak and clean my hotels regardless but the room wasn’t vacuumed before we went in and the carpets are pretty dirty so keep your socks on. Bathroom works and functions well, nice sized mirrors for getting ready. Service wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible. Reception got us checked in quickly, but room service never cleaned our rooms or brought towels the entire stay… so we had to go get them ourselves. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was secure, decent and affordable. Nothing more, nothing less
- 5/5
The area is not a good, hotel was fine. No house keeping during the stay and laundry machines out of order.
- 1/5
We found bedbugs in the morning
- 1/5
It was in a terrible part of the city. Near train tracks and many homeless in the area. I was very afraid and couldn't sleep the night we were there.
- 2/5
Will not be visiting again
- 1/5
I wouldnt even get out of my car. It is in such a bad area and sketchy people hanging around the office out front. I litterly had to sleep in my car because I felt that unsafe!
- 4/5
It's ok nothing to write home about.
- 3/5
But don't have very high expectations . This is an older facility and not located in the best area of Colorado Springs. The tub/shower could use some TLC !
- 4/5
Easy check in. Quick
- 4/5
It’s was a nice room
- 1/5
got my key Desk guy was fine. Went in the room and was terrified to check the bathroom because the room just felt creepy. The door wouldn’t lock. The AC didn’t get cold. There were huge nasty white stains on the comforter and holes in it. Which it was smoking so I could let the holes go but not the white stains. I wasn’t trying to get herpes from sleeping. The outlets were half exposed… it was disgusting and terrifying. I immediately asked for my money back and left. I’d rather sleep in my truck than that hotel. So I did.
- 2/5
Was ok
- 5/5
Rooms were nice and had everything you need. Light outside our room made the room bright even with the curtains shut. Outside noise came in easily and lots of homeless in the area.
- 2/5
Took at least 20 minutes to get checked in even though I paid through Expedia. Property is not a in a good neighborhood.
- 3/5
Not too bad. But good enough for the price.
- 2/5
Housekeeping could use some training. Inspections of working amenities should be checked regularly. The bathroom light cannot be used as a the light had a ridiculous flicker. Other articles in the unit are dirty or dusty. The shower tile was falling from the wall. It seems very dated. Overall lower than average condition.
- 5/5
Great stay! Wonderful staff! Happy with our stay! Thank you, we will return! 😃
- 5/5
Good location can’t really complain for the price!
- 2/5
The maid was nice, and did a good job cleaning although the hotel was a slum. The corner store "the Maverick" was rude and uninviting, causing problems that didn't need to be. The Colorado Springs Hotel experience was a hassle at best, to include the Quality Inn, just down the way. Overall, Colorado Springs hasn't been all that inviting, from hotel hassles to camping hassles to local merchant hassles. . .just unbelievable as a Air Force and Space Force Veteran, with a Purple Heart and other statuses, yet Colorado Springs is home of the Air Force Academy and Peterson Space Force base, they sure don't act like the Air Force communities I've lived in. . .

Perfect for a one night stay or someone looking to stay a while.
- 1/5
Extremely dirty and the front desk called my room non stop on my last night there and banged on my door from 11pm till roughly 2 am. I was not about to answer the door to a man banging on my door. They kept my $40 deposit. Nothing but trashy people working there
- 5/5
I found the staff at check-in, check out and during my stay both pleasant and helpful. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and the room was fine. Very good value for money.
- 4/5
Easy check in
- 4/5
Place could be renovated but overall nice. Good privacy and very flexible with rebooking.

The girl in the afternoon was absolutely the most rude person ive ever met. She litwrally made every single day there horrible. Arguing like a child yelling ovwr the top of people making people uncomfertable and like they were very not welcome there. She was the worst customer service ive sen working a hotel in well..... ever. I would not reccomened ever going here actually im planning on taking this to the top it was so horrible so afternoon worker good job lady.
- 5/5
Well the gentlemen who hooked us up with the room gave us great deal. But the large women who worked in the morning was very rude
- 2/5
Desk staff was condescending, not accommodating or hospitable in any way. Room had roaches.
- 3/5
Good accessibility after hours
- 4/5
parking lot was well lit up. Friendly Staff.
- 3/5
The hotel has a pool however it was not open in the middle of July. Also very close to the highway and a lot of homeless hanging around. Even saw a girl come out of one of the rooms holding a needle that was definitely full of drugs. Not a great place to stay if you've got kids but i had few options due to the first hotel i went to having double booked my room. It works if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Also told us we couldn't get an extra blanket for my daughter because they only had enough for each bed. Which i doubt but who knows. And kept my deposit although i left nothing wrong with the room.
- 5/5
The area where the hotel is at is looks like a ghetto area. It’s kind unsafe. Won’t want to go for a walk. The was ok. It’s wasn’t what I saw on the website. That’s was the only reason why I rented there.
- 3/5
Paul at the front desk was very helpful when I thought I lost my car keys. He made checking in easy and was pleasant as well as personable. The room was basic and aged. It could use a more detailed clean as there were dead flys in the window. There was a newer great working air conditioner. The most unpleasant part was not the hotel itself but its location and large population and presence of homeless and panhandlers. The busy road outside made for a noisy night. The smell of burning trash was in the morning air. As a group of men stand beside a blazing barrel to keep warm. People sleeping on public sidewalks & bus stops.
- 4/5
It was a brief trip for fun, last minute booking. It went very smooth and was perfect for the one night we needed. Clean and nice and cool for our hot day. Coffee and a snack for breakfast in the lobby was provided as well.
- 1/5
Not a good experience depressing atmosphere filthy rooms. My socks turned black from the carpet it was awful. Smelled like mildew, never again.
- 5/5
Will definitely be back!!
- 3/5
Room in disrepair
- 3/5
Long term stay, housekeeping cleans on the third day, exhaust fan noisy, security chain on front door broken, don’t expect much for breakfast!
- 3/5
I was in need of a place to sleep near the hospice where my girlfriend's dad was dying. Proximity and price was the only importance. That being said, multiple homeless people wandering around at night along with undesirable professions solicitors. Just minded my own business, but it wasn't safe feeling at all
- 1/5
I paid ahead for the room and was unable to cancel after seeing that the room was not at all what was advertised. The coverlets on the beds were old and gross with many cigarette holes in them. The rooms were dingy and dark. There were numerous homeless people hanging around the parking lot. The non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes. I was offered a different room, but declined as I'd already theoretically been shown the room I paid for. The office staff attempted to help me to cancel and did cancel their accidental double billing. We were unable to call Expedia (said my confirmation number didn't match their records)or Hotels.com (not able to find a number that was able to take calls) to try to get assistance in cancelling. Also the hotels.com chat kept ending our session randomly without getting me to human. Overall the entire experience was terrible. I'm don't recommend the hotel, hotels.com or Expedia based on the experience.
- 5/5
Clean, great to stay
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were good and room was clean. Refrigerator and A/C worked great.
- 1/5
Ghetto. People partying all night, unable to sleep with intoxicated men yelling right outside my room. Nightmare location! Stay elsewhere!
- 3/5
Great room! Location was so-so. Lot of noise overnight...kept AC going to block...
- 4/5

Insects, hair, in bed. Room was already dirty
- 5/5
Great experience, fairly inexpensive
- 3/5
So ita good for one night stays. Kinda smells weird and cigarette holes all over the comforters to the bed. Great for blue collar guys in for the night
- 5/5
The bed was comfortable and the shower was the perfect temperature
- 2/5
The Continental breakfast was ridiculous mini muffins and granola bars are not a continental breakfast no swimming pool as shown in the pictures and the area was very unsafe. The room was outdated but clean. The staff was great. I don't see how you guys can advertise this motel as seen in the pictures for the price you charge.
- 5/5
Centered around everything and nice vice of the mountains
- 4/5
Breakfast was just a pre wrapped muffin or granola bar, and was not told about the pool being closed. It was our main reason for picking the motel. Other then that a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay
- 4/5
It was great for the price. Good and clean and great customer service. The breakfast, both in venue or food quality was much less than what I would expect from Howard Johnson.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean rooms. There are homeless people around the hotel but are not allowed in the parking lot, great safe and secure for you car, would recommend to stay here. I will stay there again when im back in the area.
- 4/5
The staff were great in many ways. I definitely recommend staying here. It was difficult to find because Expedia has their address wrong.
- 3/5
Not worth the price, pool wasn’t working, no breakfast offered, and the rooms need a lot of work!
- 4/5
It was good
- 1/5
I didn't even go in and found a different place to stay. It was in poor condition. As soon as you arrive, there are homeless peole and tent camps. The hotel itself, was run down and was a bit scared to even get out of the car. This place should not be on hotels .com
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
To much nose.
- 5/5
It was overall a good place to stay! I believe Lee helped me out and he was really nice! The rooms were actually decent and comfy for the price you are paying. Area is a bit sketchy and loud at night but as long as you mind your business you will be fine!
- 1/5
Stayed here for a couple of nights place is full of bed bugs… do not stay here at all…. The place was dirty and now I have to deal with bed bug bites on me… never will stay here spend a little extra and stay away from this hotel.
- 5/5
Right near downtown area so everything is close by for transportation.
- 1/5
The room was very small and just overall dirty. The free breakfast was non existent as there was nothing available but coffee. The parking is horrible. On Avery busy in not such a good part of town. Lots of noise from the traffic.

Staff was wonderful and helpful and kind
- 4/5
The room was in great condition and very clean.
- 5/5
Easy access to major highways, quiet, we were just there to spend the night after having bought a car at a dealership close by. Simple continental breakfast, muffins, juice, coffee. It was what we needed.
- 5/5
Perfect for a few nights stay when traveling on a budget. Downtown is within walking distance. Staff all friendly and very helpful.
- 1/5
This day was okay this is when I was checking out she wanted to give me back my deposit cuz I get the housekeepers towels because me and my kids use our own towels so they kept my deposit over 10 bucks worth of towels so I'm very upset about that I will never stay at the Howard Johnson again rude lady at the front door and everything I'm done I'm homeless and I need my money she took you cuz this little town that your housekeeper
- 1/5
The place and the worker people not good not friendly
- 5/5
It was good like always
- 3/5
My only issue was the air conditioner had a shot belt and made an awful screeching noise for short periods of time. Probably a problem with the fan.
