Hilton Garden Inn Colorado Springs North Air Force Academy

The view is beautiful and right off the highway. Lots of stores and restaurants not far from the location. Upon check in the front desk clerk was very helpful and she was able to accommodate us with an early check in. After driving 8 hours it was such a relief. The halls were very warm but extremely clean. The room was spotless. I paid extra for the breakfast and was informed the extra amount would be for the continental breakfast which I was ok with. The next morning we decided to go off property to eat. When we returned we wanted to take advantage of the fruit that was available (again, included in the amount I paid extra) when I asked the young lady if I could grab a piece of fruit she responded sharply “No! You need to be seated and they will be with you in a minute!” I didn’t need to sit because all I was asking for was fruit. The other young lady that was by the bar and the waitress saw me and heard me asking for the fruit yet she ignore me and my request. Walked off as if she didn’t even see me. I was never asked if I could be helped by anyone. Very disappointing. After a couple of minutes of waiting to be acknowledged I left to my room. I would stay again, but this time won’t pay extra for a service I could not get.

Housekeeping didn't throw away the soap from the last guest which made me wonder how clean other things were in the room. However, the front desk staff were awesome and went out of their way to make sure that was taken care of and had my room cleaned more often than usual. The staff taking care of the food service were fantastic! I had an omelet every day and they were GREAT! Even though they didn't have a cook, they still were able to make a good dinner. So, other than the soap issue, everyone and everything were good. But kudos to the staff for sure.

Great Breakfast

Incredibly thin walls. You can hear a pin drop in the next room. Bathtub was dirty with soap scum, a few stains, and just clearly not detailed. Bed was clearly old and not comfortable.

I booked a handicap accessible room with the rollin shower and the wheelchair did not even fit inside of the bathroom nor did we receive a roll-in shower like we reserved. My husband literally could not take a shower and had to hobble on one leg into the bathroom to even use the toilet what a joke of an accessible Hotel room. Also the supposed accessible room was on the opposite side of the hotel from the handicap accessible parking spots extremely inconvenient for accessibility.

The staff was amazing and super helpful and kind, the room was very clean and spacious, beds were comfy with soft linens, the only reason I did not give it a 5 star overall is that the lobby was a bit dirty, but then again they were fully booked so it can be understandable! Thank you!

We have been staying here for years…. But now, I will reconsider staying here next time I’m in Colorado Springs.

Everything was just ok with the exception of the beds. They were hard as a rock and neither party slept at all, will have to see a chiropractor now. Complained to the staff and she said ' OH, I'll let management know'. I doubt it and nothing was accomplished. Will not stay there again, sorry to say...

The room was clean and check in was quick. Since it was 130am the quick check in was much appreciated. They allowed us a late check out which let us sleep in a bit and have a little less dead space before our commitment in the afternoon.

The window treatments were well done. The shower curtain was 12” too short so the floor was soaking wet after a shower and the shower valve was hard to adjust at the temperature was scolding lava. My wife had a bad back and ended up sliding in the bathroom and almost falling. Thankfully she didn’t hit the deck, Surprised that a billion dollar corporation can make such rookie mistakes. Bed / sheets and pillows were all on the cheap side so I was awake all night. Room was clean. Pictures on the wall look like they came from the Salvation Army

The staff was helpful. I won't be back to this hotel. The comforter was worn, the shower was stained, and the sheets had hairs on them.

They tried and did run my card before i checked out in the morning. They wouldnt tell me what they were trying to charge me 2 different amounts for $50×2 & $30. When i booked online it said the pet fee was $55. When i got there they told me $75. When i talked to the lady she said it was ok, she would change it. She printed me a receipt at check out saying it was $55. They still charged my card $75. Very disappointed at a hotel that charges for everything including wifi, you would think they would know what to charge you and how much they charge for it.

It was spacious and had good air conditioning. One of the online features was that the room was soundproof, but I heard a lot of noise on the 2nd day, including housekeeping in the hallway, the TV next door, and children running and yelling. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. I didn't have hot water on the 2nd evening I was there, and it took a couple of hours for it to return. The Wi-Fi was spotty, which could have been problematic since it was a work trip. I ended up using my own data. The TV channels also had a poor signal and went in and out. Some channels didn't even work. I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the Wi-Fi issue. I was charged quite a bit more at check-in, after Hotels.com assured my rate would be: "What you see is what you pay." When I inquired about a $12 upcharge for the "free" breakfast, the desk attendant did not remove the fee or contact Hotels.com to resolve the issue. And when I contacted Hotels.com to resolve the issue, they referred me back to the hotel front desk. The continental breakfast tasted good, but it was awkward having to sit down and be waited on for the hot items. The limit was 3 hot items, which was a bit strange. I've not experienced a continental breakfast like that before. The ice machine worked great, but there were no vending machines on my floor. I think the only snack items were in the lobby.

The restaurant was the only clean and organized area. The pool was cold and no towels. The bathroom in our room was filthy. Several times there wasn’t anyone at the front desk. There was dog poop around the outdoor sitting area. Couldn’t hook to WiFi.

On the first day, the person in charge of making breakfast did not show up, so there was no breakfast. On the second day, I looked at the eggs and of course they were not real and if they were real, something was wrong with them, they won’t look more like a gelatin mode so we went to IHOP

Our room was nice but did have a noisy refrigerator. We chosen to eat our first night at the restaurant in the hotel. It was a slow Sunday night. We were the only ones there. The service and food was really slow. The food was okay and simple. Not sure how the breakfast is but the Sunday night dinner could have been a better experience.

Clean, courteous staff, great location; nice views; nice social event on Thursday evening; nice breakfast that you pay for - but not actually a buffet- you order the hot food and the staff bring it to you- and you can order another plate if needed - just a bit odd.

Our room was not clean. We found hair on the walls in the bathroom. A contact lens from a previous person was on the floor. The bathroom sink had a dirt grime ring around the edges. The quilt had a bodily fluid stain on it that was yellowish in color.

Very disappointing you cannot provide breakfast for the price we pay to stay there. You promote a breakfast buffet yet my husband asked for some additional eggs and potatoes and your server said no the buffet is the cold food. Very disappointing.

Secondly, you can hear every single step from the guests upstairs with loud creaking of the wood with every step. Never have I been to a hotel where I hear the upstairs guest footsteps. Walls are paper thin. I heard every guest walking down the hallway speaking, word for word. They were only speaking, not yelling. Overall, extremely noisy hotel between the all night long mechanical whirring sound in the room, neighbors upstairs walking around, and being able to hear regular voiced people walking down the hallway. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.

However, the breakfast situation was terrible and confusing. It wasn’t clear what was offered or when, and the setup felt disorganized. A little more clarity and consistency there would make a world of difference.

Was at this facility about 2 months ago, the breakfast that came with the cost of the room was okay, this time they wanted $10. The cooked options were more expensive and limited, as a vegetarian I was disappointed. Since I would not be having the meat products that came with cooked meal I expected a reduction in price. No deal

Room was clean. Took a minute to get the hvac to work right. Bed was epically uncomfortable and uneven. And there’s either plumbing pipe issues or the bathroom had a poltergeist making racket all night. Barely got any sleep.

This was a great hotel to stay at. It is right off the highway so there is great accessibility to explore around Colorado Springs. There are plenty of food options around and the view of the mountains from the hotel cannot be beaten. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful too.

Clean, quiet and safe! I stayed here for 5 days, I was traveling alone (5ft tall female) and I felt totally safe! I was able to sit outside after dark with out any concerns. There is dining at the hotel or just across the street. Close to a lot of shopping as well. I moved here after 1 night at a sketchy hotel a couple mile away, so I was very thankful for the comfort!

I was repeatedly woken up by noise from the room above, and a barking dog kept me up all night. When I brought this to the front desk’s attention, their response was underwhelming—they apologized and handed me a 15% breakfast coupon. That felt cheap and dismissive, especially given the lack of sleep and overall poor attitude from staff. Definitely not the level of hospitality I expected from Hilton.

Great property, close to the AFA. Easy walk or drive to shopping and restaurants. Clean, and safe area. Rooms were clean, and gym was good too. There is an indoor pool, I didn’t use it but looked well maintained

The staff is very friendly and made check in very easy. The hotel is clean and very quiet. The only downside is there is no complimentary breakfast if you’re use to staying at hotels that offer that.

Sheet on bed had stains after getting to our room and getting our suitcase unloaded. Called desk and was told we could move to another room. The clerk checking us in admitted to being sick after he handled my credit card and license. Went to desk to get the room card to move to another room and he was coughing all over the cards he handed me. Never impressed with a hotel with stains on the sheets. Disgusting to say the least

Everything was excellent. The only issue I had was that the breakfast was not complimentary as it is in most other hotels. I have no issue with the charge for the dinner meal, but a complimentary breakfast is almost traditional.

So the bathroom had NOT been cleaned there was hair and dirt all over the floor!! The there was a previous guest sock still in one of the beds! Trash in the trash cans!!! The front desk check in girl was very nice the lobby was nice but the actual room was dirty

In our room on the 2nd floor , bathroom door was broken. Very hard to close. Exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom. We had paid for the breakfast while booking on Hotel.com yet, we were told that we had a basic breakfast option. To get hot cook to order breakfast there is extra charge :-(

Great quiet location. The room was very cleN and the beds were comfortable. The only negative part was that our tub was clogged. We contacted the help desk and they immediatley got us another room. The staff was great, very friendly.

We booked a King room and the staff told us they didn’t have any king rooms available so they put us in a double room and promised to have one available the next day. When we went back the next day, they told us that they didn’t have any king rooms available at all. We had to call the manager and work with her to get a king room but I still feel that it was a queen room and not a king room. They told us that when you book through third party, the rooms are not guaranteed.
