We loved it and will be back.

Good location for food and hiking, updated furniture, microwave and comfy beds, downside was being given a smoking room when we asked for nonsmoking, also the amount of flies in the room and overall the walls/doors needing a good cleaning.
- 5/5
The motel was convenient to many of the areas attractions.
- 4.5/5
Very clean quiet place. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were good sized and comfortable. A/C system was noisy but worked well.

Passable
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable. We were disappointed that the pool was not open. I was saddened by the location, the homeless that were around.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. We had a park bench on the balcony right outside our door which allowed us time to take in the great view. The proprieter is very kind and thoughtful. This motel is within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants, and just a short drive from Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Cliff Dwellings. Definitely a good choice if you are in the area.
- 5/5
The rooms were great and could not have asked for a better stay! Customer service was above and beyond!
- 2.5/5
The managers were super accommodating The walls were paper thin & we heard doors slamming & people yelling all night long. Did not get much rest.
- 5/5
Very nice updated room. Bedding was so comfortable. Shower felt great. Goody bags when we checked in were a nice surprise. Close to everything, easy parking and great view of the mountains. Would definitely stay there again. The fridge was in an awkward spot in the room a little hard to get to with the bed so close. But this was a small thing. Considering this place was awesome.

Front desk lady I assume was the owner was polite I guess Literally everything else was horrible. It was so bad we checked out after 30 minutes, we even were in a "king suite" it was dirty, it reminded me of a motel on Colfax in Denver. It's outrageously priced for flooring coming up and amenities not available

I was pleased with the spaciousness of the room so I am returning to the same room next week by request. It was also clean and the shower head was the nicest I've ever used.

Located near historic area of Colorado Springs. Staffer presented bag with snacks/fruit. Loved the apple. Bathtub drain was slow.

The staff was so nice Some of the other people staying there. Saw hookers.
- 5/5
The staff was very courteous.
- 5/5
Good shops near by
- 4/5
We felt mostly safe walking around. Lot's of food, drink and shopping options close by. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk man, very nice!
- 5/5
Very close to lots of shops and restaurants! Liked that it was walkable.
- 5/5
Met our needs as a place to stop, grab dinner, sleep and get recharged for next adventure. Great barbecue at Rudy’s up the street.
- 3/5
Safe area. Clean and quiet. Motel entry...
- 5/5
The owners are super nice and it is obvious they take prode in the motel. Grounds are well kept and clean. Originally booked for two days but ended up staying 1 additional night because we enjoy it so much. Very close to quain Manitou Springs and around the corner from Garden of the Gods. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
For the price, this was a great stay. Room was newly remodeled, and very clean. The neighborhood had some rough spots but no one bothered us. Owners were very kind. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would stay again for the price.
- 5/5
Walkable to old town shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds. Old and rugged outside - remodeled inside.
- 5/5
Easy check in, no issues, exactly as expected
- 5/5
Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
My room had the best TV of any hotel room i've ever been too which was really surprising considering this is a budget motel. Really impressed with the TV situation and everybody had already loaded their accounts on the TV so you could use their amazon prime no need to login to my own. There was 2 guys who appeared to be living in a creepy van with a cat inside which had my wife paranoid. Maybe they were staying at the motel but they were transient. They did not bother us but it is weird. The lady at the front desk did not seem to be friendly but gave us 2 gift snack bags which we gave to our kids. I have never gotten gifts like this from even fancy hotels. We appreciated it. Shower and bed was nice. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
- 5/5
Very cute and close to Garden of the Gods
- 5/5
Great motel. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and affordable. Highly recommend when staying in Manitou Springs.
- 3/5
Bad beds
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Owner is so nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable, room very clean and neat. Will definitely stay again when back in this area.
- 5/5
Sweet little motel. Nice owners/staff. Lots of personal touches. It could do with some updates but it is well kept and cared for. Bed was comfortable and little gift bag with snacks provided. Convenient. We walked to dinner. Eclectic but fun area. We would stay again.
- 5/5
The property is excellently maintained.
- 4/5
Great location.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Easy on/off main road. Near a lot of restaurants. Received a goody bag of snacks!!!
- 5/5
Owners serve you at this family run motel. Very nice.
- 5/5
Definitely stay again. Its older place but so clean. Refreshment food bag was awesome.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. The welcome gift was a nice surprise
- 5/5
Wonderful little motel next to many attractions. We would stay there again.
- 2/5
It was close to the garden of gods grounds
- 4/5
Recently updated everything was nice and clean and new but small. Area is questionable but ok
- 5/5
On short notice we discovered we would need a double, not a single king. The host handled our request with a smile and no upcharge. The host also provided abundant tips on places to eat and how to get to places of interest. The location was well situated for easy access to attractions.
- 5/5
This is a great location for shopping and dining. Plus, it’s pretty iconic. The sign is unique and perfect for the location. We were greeted by the current owner. She was friendly and welcoming. The check-in was a bit analog rather than digital.😁 but it was quick. Rooms are accessed by key cards. Before leaving the office, much to my surprise, we were given gift bags of snacks. Really good snacks! Our room was on the second floor. Conveniently, We were able to park nearby. There is no elevator. Stairs are manageable. The room was clean, with no objectionable odors. It obviously had been remodeled. The room had 2 king beds, but we only used one. The sheets were nice, striped, not just standard white. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was newly tiled with new sink and fixtures. The water pressure in the shower was more than adequate. Water was up to temperature very quickly. The towels were large and soft. Overall, our one night stay was a very positive experience. We’d stay here again!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, comfortable beds, checking in was super fast and easy. We received a welcome goodie bag. Staff was super friendly.
- 4/5
Close to job
- 5/5
Our stay was excellent. The service was wonderful. Steve and Jenny gracious hosts. Enjoyed the snack bag that they gave us full of fruit and all kinds of goodies. I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s close to everything.
- 5/5
Very clean and convienent
- 5/5
I liked the bag of fruit, snacks, & water they gave me at checkin. Motel is older, but my room had updated flooring & furnishings, simple, clean, and looked really nice.
- 3/5
Room should have been better. AC is in separate corridor secrion, bed lamp should have been adjustable
- 5/5
The staff were amazing we got 2 goodie bags upon arrival. The room was clean, looked jus remodeled, beds comfy, and had hot water in the shower. Close to attractions and stores. Very nice.
- 5/5
The room was great and was so close to garden of the gods plenty of space and the owners were so nice and friendly couldn’t have been happier with our experience
- 5/5
We really appreciated the proprietor allowing us to change rooms due to a smoke smell in our original room. She was gracious and efficient. The beds were super comfortable, the room was clean and attractive and we slept well.
- 5/5
It was so close to the different shops
- 1/5
The location is convenient to the Garden of the Gods and there’s a lovely view of Pike’s Peak from the parking lot. But for the condition of the room, half what I paid would have been a fair price.
- 2/5
Only amenities included a bar of soap. Noisy. Working on rooms till 10:00 pm. Had to ask for towels. No room service for four nights, not even trash was picked up.
- 5/5
I highly recommend this place in the heart of old Colorado surrounded by interesting bars and restaurants!
- 1/5
Property is depressing. No blanket. Holes in towels.
- 4/5
It was a cold night so the heater (which was a little loud) ran the whole time. Everything else was perfect.
- 5/5
This was a perfect place to stay overnight on our trip. Clean and very friendly!!!
- 5/5
We stayed for one night on our trip around Colorado. The front desk person who checked us in late at night- I assume was the owner-was very kind and the check-in goody bags were great! We left early the next morning but had a great overnight stay.
- 5/5
This was our second time here. Although it is in a sketchy part of old colo city, the hotel is renovated,& for the price it is a good stay for a night or two. The owners are very nice & they give you a lil goodie bag.
- 5/5
This place is a great value and nice and close to the Manitou Incline! When we checked in, we got bags with snacks and water, which was an unexpected treat. The area and property seems a little rough on the outside, but the room was well updated and incredibly clean. The only downside was that the AC would not run all night, so it was *too quiet* in our room. The flooring is also kind of weirdly uneven and the TV was challenging to work, but nice when we figured it out. I definitely would stay here again!
- 2/5
Owner tried to charge me for an extra day.
- 5/5
Close proximity to Garden of the Gods.
- 3/5
Not pleased that the rate provided on the receipt was much lower than the Expedia rate I booked and Expedia couldn’t do anything about it.
- 3/5
We could tell that the staff tries to improve and maintain this property, but it fell short on cleanliness and simple structural issues. The door had a big gap with no weather strip which allowed a yellow jacket into the room that we had to chase and dispense. The microwave did not work, and upon examination I saw that it was unplugged. To grab the plug I had to pull the shelf away from the wall which exposed a bird feather, lots of crumbs and part of an apple. The baseboards were also dusty and the black carpet was stained and in need of stretching. The furniture was newish but it just didn’t feel totally clean due to the above issues. I’m sure that you get what you pay for and it did look to be the best of the roadside motels. The AC shuddered and squeaked to life every little while throughout the night, which combined with some girl screaming outside and our neighbors loud boom music, made for a not so restful night. The snack bags were a nice gesture. Paper cups in the room would have been great so I could make the instant coffee I ran out to purchase.
- 4/5
Quaint little motel. Room was clean, parked right in front of room. Owners were very kind & considerate.
- 5/5
Large, clean, and comfortable rooms refurbished with nice amenities. Convenient walk to old town shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Front desk gave us welcome bags that included water, banana, peanuts, granola bar, apple, fruit snacks & chocolate chip cookies. Room was spacious, beds were comfy, tons of parking in front. Wifi a little spotty, but could be because of the location with mountains.Standard motel without all the bells and whistles, but perfect location for one night in Manitou Springs.
- 1/5
Air did not work
- 5/5
Room was advertised. Comfortable.
- 5/5
The rooms are large, very clean, and nicely furnished. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This motel is a great choice to stay at in the Manitou Springs area. Parking is very convenient.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable!
- 5/5
Clean room, gracious host. I was greeted with an unexpected gift bag of really good and nutritious snacks. This is a typical looking older motel, but it the room interiors have been nicely remodeled, and well maintained. There is a bit of road noise, and I could hear voices of other guests, so this was not the quietest stay. Overall it was a good value for the money, and walking distance to restaurants and stores in old town.
- 5/5
Recently remodeled, no carpets, just clean wood-like floors. Comfortable bed. Great owners. Welcome goody bag of fruit & snacks. I'll be returning!
- 5/5
For the price it can't be beat. The owners obviously care about the property, the room condition, and their guests. They even give guests goody bags filled with fruit, snacks, and bottled water. It's a motel, so people in the halls were loud at times. Regardless, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
- 5/5
Rooms were very basic, but affordable. Staff was very kind and informative. Location was convenient.
- 5/5
From the pictures this Motel doesn't look like much but its clean and they have updated the rooms very nicely. Very convenient to food and shopping within a 1 mile walk. We stayed in room 229 above the office and the bathroom is a little small if your a bigger person but overall this was a very pleasant place to stay. Goodie bags with water and snacks were provided at no charge. Very nice family owned and operated business. They don't have their own web page but you can try emailing them at gardenofthegodsmotel@yahoo.com or calling at 719-636-5271. rates might be cheaper dealing direct.
- 5/5
The front desk receptionist was very sweet and accommodating. We flew in a couple hours earlier than expected and the front desk was able to do an early check in. It nice for a motel. Clean, chill night, very walkable for the town & shops. Would recommend & stay again
- 4/5
Older area but felt comfortable and safe
- 5/5
Awesome little hotel with great service and a beautiful view. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
the owner/ manager was so nice to us. We dropped by the motel just to let him know that we were going to check in late because we wanted to look around, this was two hours before check in time and he checked us in right away. And to top that off he gave us two bags with all sorts of snacks and water. We told him we were going to check out very early and he gave us an easy way to check out.
- 5/5
Checking was smooth. The place is spotless. Ran by an adorable couple who even give you gift bags when you check in.
- 5/5
Very nice motel. Absolutely perfect location.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Very nice view of the mountains. Close to hiking and good restaurants. My wife and I were each given a nice welcome bag with fruit, bottled water and snacks.
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable. Quiet place. Loved Colorado Ave. with all of the Victorian houses.
- 3/5
Host gave treat bags at the beginning of the stay which was a nice touch. However, the room smelled of smoke and then marijuana likely due to ventilation from other occupants. You could very easily hear everything going on around/outside of your room.
- 5/5
walk down the street to shops. Subway literally around the corner. rooms are clean, owners are very friendly. A few homeless around the area but just ignore. never felt unsafe or had any issues, rooms are clean and updated. Garden of the gods 3 minutes away and helen hunt falls 10 minutes, really good play overall. No breakfast but give you a goodie bag with fruit and granola bars, bottle watered.
- 5/5
The managers were over the top welcoming and helpful throughout our stay! They presented us with a goodie bag of snacks and fruit! Coffee and drinks were always available in the lobby. Our room was very comfortable and a great value for the area. Location was ideal as we could walk to restaurants and shops in the old city. Will definitely stay here again!!
- 4/5
Area not best but they have updated rooms some big tvs n nice flooring, comforters dingy n pillows very flat, tub plug missing for bath but no breakfast but did give little treat bags when we checked in for two people even though we had 3 people checked in to room but thought was very nice, we shared. Close to ebike n hike garden of gods which my kids did so a plus
- 5/5
Hotel is in a great location right in Old Town. Walkable to dining, shopping and coffee shops. The couple that run the place are super friendly and helpful. It's an older property but the rooms have been nicely updated
- 5/5
While the motel is definitely from a past era, it is well maintained and clean. It helped make the trip memoriable.
- 5/5
Looks are deceiving with this place- the interior of the room was nice and clean. The location was perfect for us and we received bags of snacks upon checking in.
- 5/5
Centrally located to all the attractions Manitou Springs had to offer.
- 4/5
There were some homeless people around the property.
- 5/5
The location and price were ideal. The owners were so kind and helpful, I was really pleasantly surprised. They were nice, laid back, gave me a really care package of snacks, and they let me leave my car in the lot an extra couple of hours while I did a tour. It was a no fuss, no frills experience just like I needed at the time. THANK YOU, lovely people!
- 5/5
overall average stay
- 5/5
Great motel! A comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights in Colorado Springs. The owner's were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
In a very noisy place and outdoor entrances. Room was relatively clean. The air conditioner was very loud all night long. The location was good.
- 5/5
Cute little spot and very convenient location! We loved the friendly and accommodating owners, and the little snack bags are a wonderful touch to make you feel at home. The motel is no-frills but is clean and comfortable. An easy place to stay while working in CO Springs…will stay again!
- 5/5
The motel is incredibly clean, in a quiet area..sits back from the street, and we felt totally safe. The check-in process was easy and we were given “goodie bags”! That included fruit, water, protein bars..far better than what we get as IHG & Hilton members. We love these family owned older motels that have been upgraded. The room was spacious enough for 2 with double beds and accommodated my accessibility issues and the price was fantastic. Considering the price of lower end chains this motel is a bargain..$1 coke/pepsi/ every flavor..incredible!
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Service was prompt and friendly. Snack bag was a very nice touch and appreciated.
- 4/5
The owner is extremely personable and nice
- 5/5
Thanks, Steve IN the sociologist :-)
- 5/5
Everything was fine.
- 5/5
Good place to stay and well connected to all attractions
- 5/5
Very easy polite manager checking in n out ! Love the strong coffee ! Thanks beautiful Colorado st to walk is a must !
- 5/5
Nice old school motel. We will stay there again.
- 5/5
I truly thought animals were allowed as that was one of my criteria for booking. When we arrived for check in we were told pets were not allowed. The owner was so kind and accommodating that she allowed our two small dogs since it was only one night. She also gave each of us goody bag with wonderful snacks and bottled water. A very pleasant surprise after being on the road 10 hours.
- 3/5
Easy to park, comfortable beds, very friendly staff,
- 5/5
The bed and shower and even tv were all very nice! We would certainly stay there again.
- 5/5
Very nice hosts and very clean.
- 4/5
Had a good stay. Close to many attractions.
- 5/5
Great place. Nice clean rooms.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great location, affordable, very friendly and accommodating staff - would stay again
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Convenient location.
- 5/5
This motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were very elegant with very comfortable and clean beds. The manager was extremely professional and generous. We got goody bags with healthy snacks as a welcome! This motel is also conveniently located near both Pike’s Peak and the Garden of the Gods. We will be back!
- 5/5
I twisted my ankle and I drove home to see a doctor instead of staying overnight at the hotel. A very nice man from the hotel called me to ask if I was coming to stay. I apologized for not letting him know that I was not going to stay the night and explained that I was so concerned about my ankle that I forgot all else. He was so kind and so nice and wished me quick healing. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name, but thank you for your kind words!
- 5/5
This is an older motel which has been remodeled. The staff aim to please and were always available to answer questions and help. It is right in the heart of Old Colorado Springs with easy access to every thing we wanted to do. We look forward to staying there again.
- 5/5
Loved this property! Very nice place. Will return!
- 5/5
It was close to sll we wanted to do in the area. The staff was awesome.
- 5/5
It was surprisingly well maintained and rooms are big
- 5/5
Garden of the Gods Motel was a great stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was great and the snack goodie bags given at check-in was a welcome, unexpected treat. I will definitely stay again if I ever return to the area. The only thing I didn’t like was the bed, the mattress was not very comfy, almost like sleeping on a futon. Other than that, our stay there was wonderful! Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Owners of Motel were very friendly and we loved the bag of snacks at check in. The Motel is a couple blocks from Old Colorado City so could walk and shop. It is also very convenient location for going to Garden of The Gods, Pikes Peak and Manitou Springs cute shopping area. The room was spacious and had been remodeled and was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
If you are looking for super nice or fancy lodgings, this isn't it. However, we were very well treated and the price fit our budget. The beds are very firm, so if you are looking for soft and fluffy, look elsewhere. We would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Property was clean and has a pool. The bed was comfy. The owners were very kind and helpful whenever I spoke to them. I thought the stay was very reasonably priced. The only thing I didn’t like was there was shady people around the area and wasn’t sure how safe it would be after dark including the property inside my rental car. I would like to note that I did not have any issues during my stay. The property does have plenty of surveillance cameras.
- 5/5
We enjoyed staying at the Garden of the Gods Motel. The owners welcomed us with a gift bag of snacks. They were so sweet. Nice beds and easy to find
- 5/5
Owner was great have us snacks. Friendly. Clean and nice.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable rooms, not on the best area of town, but conveniently located. The surrounding properties are out of their control, the parts they control are 5 stars.
- 5/5
Good location and manager is a great person
- 5/5
Great place to stay!!! It is clean and the staff was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this motel.
- 5/5
Nice motel with nice staff.
- 4/5
Our stay was good. The staff was friendly. Everything was clean. We'd stay again.
- 5/5
The owner is super nice and is there everyday. Very convenient to everything in old Colorado Springs and manitou springs .
- 5/5
Older motel but very up-to- date and clean. Friendly staff
- 4/5
This is a pretty nice property. Our room had been recently updated. Only thing that I could see wrong with the room as the fact that the tub did not have a stopper for bathing options. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. Snack and drink bags were given at check in, which was a pleasant surprise.
- 2/5
The only thing great about the room was the 2 king size beds. The wifi didn't work so we couldnt watch any tv, the ac unit was in a weird place so the room didnt get fully cool, the lamp light had to be on to charge stuff, and 1 of the plug outlets didn't work.
- 5/5
Refurbished room close to garden of the Gods. Owners very friendly
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
This is a hidden Gem in Colorado Springs. It's not a 5 Star hotel, but it's the best, and my favorite, Motel EVER! The staff/owners were Very friendly and attentive. The first thing they did was give us 2 "Goodie" bags with fruit snacks and water. We had an awesome view of Pikes Peak from our window! I can't say enough good about Garden of the Gods Motel!!! PS: Make sure to go to Manitou Springs. It's just a few min. away, and we could have just spent all our time there. It's a really Cool walk around type town!
- 4/5
This place was very clean and the owner let me check in early.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Beautiful location.
- 4/5
This was a basic hotel in a very good area. They had a great tv and comfortable beds, and the staff was very nice. We will stay again when in the area!
- 5/5
Very nice staff, when we checked in, she gave us each a bag of some yummy snacks. The bathroom had been remodeled. And wonderful hot water for the shower. A cute vintage Motel.
- 5/5
Very helpful, kind staff. Clean rooms in a great walkable area of OCC.
- 5/5
The Italian bistro a block away and the taproom across the street were great too
- 5/5
Beautiful view, nature treated us with a rainbow! Rooms updated, clean, and we received a generous bag of snacks and fruit for our stay. Was unexpected and very much appreciated! Would highly recommend
- 5/5
I needed a room near Colorado Springs for 4 days but did not want to be in the loud vibe of the busy city. This little place is just West of I-25 and in Old Colorado City, A National Landmark. The street it is on is just wall to wall outside cafes, quaint shops if every genre and just fun to walk and window shop. The Hotel is older but they have done a wonderful job refurbishing it. As soon as I checked in I received a bag with an apple, banana, cookies, muffins and roasted peanuts. Very pleasant owners and my room was large and clean. I would highly recommend this little place
- 5/5
Older motel, but very pleasant. They gave you snacks. Not luxurious, but practical and clean.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and big. The owner was very friendly and generous with a snack bag and water when we arrived. Beds are a little too firm for my liking but accectable for 1 night.
- 4/5
Smaller than expected, but not bad.
- 5/5
We stayed here with my family for a night after our long hike in Garden of the Gods. It was a comfortable, clean, and convenient place. The bed was comfortable, linens were remind me of home. Thank you so much to the owner / staff. They gave us snack bags upon check-in. This is a great deal!
- 5/5
I really appreciated the bag of snacks and bottled water.
- 5/5
Solid value. The bed was comfortable, and the room was generally quite clean - if the old office chair were replaced I would have no complaints. Shower had hot water and good pressure. AC as powerful as you need it. Hard to avoid ~6am noise from motorcyclists getting an early start, but that's more the location's fault than anything.
