Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also frequently mentioned as a positive, with many restaurants and attractions within walking distance. However, the condition of the parking lot and the noise level from both inside and outside the hotel are common complaints. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the quality of the breakfast and the cleanliness of the rooms.
- Friendly and helpful staff

The breakfast was very disappointing. Apparently, the refrigerator was out, but we should have been made aware so we could have been prepared. The area needs updating. Broken chairs, stained carpet. All of whatci mentioned above.

Our room had dirty rags on the side table, a hair brush and lighter under the bed, yellow stain on the sheets, pool was closed, breakfast only consisted of cereal. They double charged my car upon check in. Truly an awful experience!!!
- 4/5
Good Hilton inn. Question about the extra charge on incidentals. Whe was I to get that back.
- 4/5
There is construction around the area. Staff was quiet. Overall ok visit. Breakfast gave many options but not everything was filled...like decaf coffee.

Everything was nice
- 3/5
The place is pretty run down and not clean. Had we not paid ahead we would have changed hotels. Breakfast is processed premade junk. Sugar filled nonsense. Rooms are small and just kinda drab and gross.
- 2/5
I did get a very nice call from the manager after I checked out to see what could be done.
- 4/5
The only thing I didn't care for were the pillows. They aren't comfortable and if two people are in the same bed there should be 2 pillows for every person in the room. Everything else was nice. In the breakfast room it is very cold to sit there. I am up in the early morning because I can't sleep. The staff there was very helpful in other ways.
- 5/5
Clean room, hotel was clean, good variety of breakfast foods, friendly staff
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Hotel needs some upgrades including getting rid of that carpet on the 1st floor. Parking was good. Care package upon arrival was a nice touch. Bathroom was in good condition.
- 3/5
nothing was special about the property. Based on the fact google had a good review i excepted that which will never happen again. Homeless people were hanging around the parking lot. I never ate the food down stairs cause it looked gross. I should have known what the property was like when i step into the elevator and it was dirty. In our bath room the tile was broken and the grout was missing. Base on what this property. Ill never stay at another Fairfield Inn.
- 4/5
A beautiful room, clean, helpful and polite staff.
- 4/5
Our room was nice but not well insulated for sound and was right across from the elevator. The elevator worked about 40% of the time we went to use it. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast spread was nice.
- 1/5
We did not stay here and canceled the reservation on 8/15 because of confusion on which Fairfield we were staying. I was told we would be charged a cancellation for one night, but I have not received credit for the other two nights, which were prepaid. Neither Fairfield or Hotels.com have given us any good customer service. Very displeased.
- 4/5
Pretty standard updated Fairfield, though the elevator was out of service both days I stayed there. The breakfast was also your basic free hotel breakfast. Friendly front desk staff and the location was very close to many restaurants and shops with easy access to the highway.
- 3/5
The property over all was okay. The bed was lumpy . I cannot believe they have the nerve to charge for parking. Are you kidding me! And then on top of that a sign is posted that says if your car is broken into they are not responsible. Okay fine but then you should not charge to park in the parking lot. It seems so greedy.
- 3/5
Paid parking! No microwave in the room

did not really like the field that it was a Old hotel based on the feeling of the hallways and doors

When we arrived, there were six people in line waiting to check in and only one person at the service desk. I checked over the room when we first arrive after reading several negative reviews. The bathtub had a peachy orange mold that look like they had tried to cover it with white caulking. Pretty sure Tilex would’ve taken care of it. The bath tub had chunks of missing porcelain and some cracked tiles. The wallpaper look like it needed to be replaced. The king size bed had been made with sheets that were much too small. They barely hung over the edge 3 inches so after you got in bed, you had to move clear to the middle to get enough sheet to cover up with. The bed was also made so that you couldn’t pull the covers up to your shoulders. I had to get out of bed and completely pull the comforter and sheet out from under the mattress. The ice machine on the first floor was broken. There was no ice machine on the second floor, where we were staying. Although we did find out there was an ice machine on the third floor the next day. They do serve a hot breakfast with eggs, oatmeal, and French toast and yogurt. They serviced the room every other day, but you will need to go hunt someone down for extra washcloths, towels or coffee in between time. We stayed in a King suite that had a sitting area with a sofa, desk and an extra TV. The mattress was very uncomfortable and so was the sofa.

The service was exceptional. My flight was delayed coming in and my room was held for me and my fiance was allowed to check in before I arrived with the card that was on file. I want that to be very clear! But this building and amenities is in dire need of an upgrade. My shower head sprayed in all directions and the breakfast was not up to par compared to two of the neighbor hotels that we have stayed at previously. There is definitely value in getting an upgrade. Thank you and look forward to see what they decide to do.
- 3/5
Room smelt like dirty feet. Other than that, it was OK.
- 0.5/5
My keycard stopped working both mornings, so I got locked out of my room. No staff available. Housekeeping didn't attend my room on the 1st day. On 2nd morning, housekeeping was knocking on my door even though I had the do not disturb sign up.
- 3/5
I guess I had high expectations for a Marriott Fairfield. Bed was not very comfortable, TV very small compared to other brands.. I have stayed at other Marriott hotels and they were better suited for my needs. I may just have to stick to Hilton when I travel here again.
- 5/5
Easy parking, walkable, dining options and quiet
- 2/5
I had a reservation I thought for two rooms from Expedia. Upon arrival the desk clerk said I only had one. I showed her the email and she said yes you do ,but there was only one reserved. Anyway, I now have three charges on my credit card, for three rooms when I only had two.
- 5/5
Clean and safe
- 4/5
Nice place however there was construction next door making it difficult to enter the facility. Also the faucet water came out brown but cleared up after running the faucet for a while.
- 5/5
Timothy who checked me in was beyond superb and outstanding. There needs to be more Timothy's out there in the Customer Service field. This man alone is the reason I will start staying at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott for future travels. I became a member of their loyalty program because of him. Never met the guy before, but after the first five minutes, I knew this guy was authentically and genuinely nice. His personality was organic. I would, without hesitation hire him to represent one of my two companies in Arizona. This man deserves an award.
- 4/5
Clean hotel with great staff. Mixup with rooms. They tried to make it right but didn’t have 2 beds with handicap accessible shower. The electrical outlets are old and difficult to keep the plug in. No USB or C ports.

Location and cleanliness
- 5/5
Stayed for 3-4 nights, enjoyed it, no parking lot issues, good breakfast- fresh, and hot. Water pressure was awesome in the shower. Soft and hard pillows. Clean. Would definitely stay again.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was very poor, with few choices. I have traveled a lot in the last three years, and compared to other motels, you were on the bottom of the list.
- 5/5
They dudn’t have any tea with caffiene in the morning and didn't have pladtic knives for twi days but everything else was very nice like cookies at check in and a welcome note in the room.
- 5/5
Very nice and quiet. Clean
- 4/5
Outback next door was horrible service for big group.
- 4/5
Keys cards for rooms were down so we didn't have room keys for 3 days but the staff were very friendly and accomodating letting us into our rooms, the pool, weight room, etc. I think parking should be free as there is ample parking everywhere, including at adjacent hotels and restaurants.
- 1/5
Pool was down and room had bugs in it.
- 3/5
Tv in room was like a computer. Never seen such a small tv in this day and age.
- 4/5
Maybe shampoo the carpet. There’s a certain smell when you walk in the room. Other than that, the staff was amazing and very attentive. Thank you I would stay here again.😊
- 4/5
$5 parking charge, ridiculous, just a way to up charge, without putting the room rate up.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The potholes in the parking lot were very large and deep. The property was very convenient to the places we had to go.
- 3/5
- convenient location - breakfast included Cons - Gave a key for my room to another customer who was able to open my door while I was in bed Thankfully I had the lock latch on but still worrisome. - The included breakfast (powdered eggs and rotten bananas). Coffee wasn’t terrible.
- 3/5
There was construction happening next door, which led to the lot being all tore up. The holes were so bad, and there was limited lighting in that area, my son's car was damaged, bottoming out and he will be needing repairs. And for that, I got to be charged $3/day to park. Honestly, I don't think I will be back.
- 5/5
Kendrick was very helpful arranging my early check in.
- 5/5

Comfortable, clean hotel walking distance to good restaurants.

Comfortable, clean hotel walking distance to good restaurants.
- 3/5
The property was pretty average. Rooms are a little out dated and the TVs are pretty small. Our key card stopped randomly working like three times, and our bathroom toilet was broken, so we were moved rooms. Breakfast was pretty average, eggs and bacon or sausage, waffle maker, some cereal options and oatmeal/toppings bar, juices, and a few smaller things like toast or croissants.
- 5/5
Enjoyable stay!
- 5/5
Great customer service from the staff.

Clean hotel. Nice and quiet. Breakfast was good.
- 2/5
Staff was not friendly, property had a strange odor, and my card kept getting deactivated. Breakfast was not very appetizing. Had to repeatedly ask for towels and when they cleaned the room did not change sheets.
- 4/5
Good location

N/A
- 4/5
My only complaint is the bad parking area , and the fact that they charged for parking. I feel that you shouldn’t have to pay to park when you have paid for a room for 5 nights.
- 3/5
They charged $3 to park and that was a surprise. The tv was tiny, no microwave in room and the pool was closed. It just seemed like they cut corners when they could add a little more to make it a really nice place. I probably wouldn't stay here again. The staff was nice , the place was clean and quiet plus the breakfast was pretty good but it was just Ok for the price that we paid. Thought it would be nicer.
- 4/5
Nice day. The pool wasn’t working, but overall a great hotel.
- 5/5
Great staff. Comfortable room. The flooring seems very thin so anyone staying above you if they are walking it’s very loud and the floors are creaky. I was on the first floor. It seems like whoever was above me walked around a lot at night.
- 4/5
When you check in and they ask you if you want services be sure to say yes. If you don't they will not do any housekeeping if you are staying multiple nights. I didn't understand what they meant and said no so we didn't receive any room attention
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay. Staff is very kind and helpful, rooms are very clean and pleasant. The breakfast has a quite nice selection. Had a great stay.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Good breakfast and helpful front desk staff
- 5/5

- 5/5
It is a good place
- 5/5
Customer service very good the lady in the front desk very nice
- 5/5
Easy to find
- 4/5
Note: Old Chicago and Outback Steakhouse are very close. There is a pool but no hot tub.
- 5/5
I like how spacious the king bed room i stayed. So comfy and clean. Staff doing their job professionally and friendly.
- 4/5
The outlet in the bathroom was out. It was very inconvenient for my girlfriend to get ready for our party.
- 5/5
I've stayed at this property several times over the years and service, price point, cleanliness, location keeps me coming back. Wonderful hot breakfast.
- 4/5
Only service the rooms every other day.
- 5/5
Appreciate the cleanliness and well maintained room
- 4/5
Driving in there are too many pot holes in the parking lot.
- 5/5
The place was clean and comfortable. Good price. Service very good. Customer service excellent.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Everything was fine. Someone should fix all the potholes, though.
- 4/5
Good stay, we checked out one day early. We were charged for parking which has not happen before previous stays. We checked out one day early we’re still charged for parking. This is not the Marriott way of doing business. Will not stay at this property again.
- 5/5
Front desk staff were very kind and professional. Very nice room. Close to everything.
- 5/5
All wonderful, staff, room condition, cleanliness. I checked out very early in the morning, so didnt experience tgeir breakfast, but the breakfast lobby looked like one of the best I've see, even with a little free take one/leave one library.
- 5/5
Perfect stay great breakfast 5 stars
- 5/5
Beautiful area. Nice stay.
- 5/5
it was very nice and well taken care of. The staff was super nice.
- 3/5
The staff was great though!!
- 3/5
Probably one of the roughest (less clean, not as well-kept) Marriott properties I've visited. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great location! The rooms are very clean. The front desk receptionist in the evening and in the morning are phenomenal! Very friendly, professional and helpful. I recommend this hotel to my family snd friends.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, decent free breakfast, nice bedding/pillow, quiet environment. Enjoyed our stay very mucn.
- 4/5
Everything was nice. We were well greeted and offered options on rooms. The morning attendant was also very helpful and kind. My disappointment was breakfast. The eggs were fake and way overcooked. The oatmeal was like dried-up mud and no milk or brown sugar was available to make it edible. They did have the option of cereal, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, and blueberry muffins.
- 5/5
We were having a stressful time, a family funeral, and discovered that our home was being threatened by a wildfire. The hotel staff were so kind. My daughter was in a wheelchair and my husband had to run home to help with the fire. The staff helped us up to our room, left us a beautiful card with messages signed by all the staff! The fire is out and the Memorial Service was beautiful! The staff helped comfort us in a great time of need! Thank you to all of you!!!!
- 4/5
Bed was not comfortable.
- 1/5
I did not even stay at this hotel cause when I pulled up it had homeless people hanging around outside. It looked very out dated compared to the picture and just gave me a not so good feeling when I pulled up. So I canceled and went to a different hotel
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful and professional
- 5/5
Solid choice for a hotel in Colorado Springs.
- 5/5
Staff were all wonderful.
- 5/5
It was nice. I liked the free water you don’t see that often 👍
- 3/5
Breakfast had good very of food and was able to find something that everyone could enjoy.
- 2/5
Check in was easy I even got to check in early. I booked a king bed but they didn’t have it available. The room was overall clean but when I went to put my perishables in the fridge there was still food left from the previous person. Staff was so nice.
- 5/5
The people were friendly. The hotel was clean. We went to the pool but it was broken and cold so we let the staff know.
- 5/5
Our room was very clean when we arrived. The room was comfortable and serviceable for our weekend needs
- 5/5
Convenient location and great customer service.
- 4/5
It was all I needed
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel more than once. I really like location. Only negative is that my key didn’t work the front door after 9pm. Front desk let me in asked my room number and remade my key. They asked for no ID. As a woman traveling alone this was very uncomfortable. I asked if they wanted ID and the response was “No, I remember you.” ID should always be checked and validated.
- 3/5
The staff was good. Friendly and did the best they could for being short staffed. Our room was clean, but the common areas needed some attention. The bed frame was exposed causing some bloody shins in the middle of the night. Not a bad place for a short stay, but much longer and i would have looked for something else.
- 4/5
There was damage to the facility in the way of broken lamps in the hallways, the staff was very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was B but at least there was breakfast!, Loud banging noises until after 10 o’clock in the hallway or the room next-door, My room was the last available, so I was grateful but the hide-a-bed clearly had not been clean based on the condition of the sheets.
- 3/5
The staffing issue is a real problem. No maid service and spotty front desk agent. I have always stayed at Marriott properties for over 30 years. I am really disappointed with this property. The breakfast was cold and the food ran out early as well. Please bring this property back to Marriott standards.
- 4/5
The staff was AMAZING! The room was super clean, and we didn’t have a problem with anything. We wished that there was more variety for breakfast, and the eggs were cooked differently—not steamed in water. Overall great experience with great people and lots to do right around the hotel.
- 5/5
All was great! Many Thanks!!
- 4/5
It was clean and accessible for my wife's walker as she is mobility impaired. The handicapped parking was right at the entrance and the elevator was easily accessible and our room was right off the elevator on the second floor. The handicapped accessible bathroom was disappointing lacking a bathing stool for the shower. The tub was not set up for a bath, only shower heads. Made it difficult for my wife to enjoy a warm soaking bath. The King bed was very comfortable but the frame ends were only covered by a skirt that did not hide the angle iron frame ends. I got a painful cut hitting my ankle on one. Needs a solid padded protector on both ends. The cable TV service was disappointing. No digital specialty sub channels were accessible on the local station affiliates like we are able to view by our digital broadcast TV at home. Only their main channels were available on the cable. Overall, a pleasant experience. We will remember Fairfield Inn for any future lodging needs in Colorado Springs.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk staff. Clean and spacious room.
- 3/5
Convenient for dining and easy access to interstate.
- 4/5
The room was nice and had easy access to roads to get to all the Colorado Springs attractions we wanted to see. We could see Pike's Peak from the parking lot!
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 4/5
Clean. Great staff!
- 4/5
Property is well located to Garden of the Gods, the Cog Tram & the Broadmoor & Downtown Colorado Springs. Property has wear & tear from use!
