Extended Stay America Select Suites - Colorado Springs

Tried checking in at 12:30 am after a six hour drive. Front Desk was closed. Sign on the wall next to a phone said to dial 500 to reach the night shift manager. Phone didn’t work. I called the Extended Stay main number and the agent said he would telephone the night manager and let him know guests were in the lobby. After 30 minutes (it’s now 1:00 am) I called again and the agent patched me through to the night manager. The night manager refused to come to the hotel (I had prepaid on a booking site) and his excuse was that the back-office system was closed for the night and he couldn’t do anything about it. After giving him a piece of my mind, I hung up and slept in my car.

I enjoyed the quiet location of the room on the 4th floor. I liked the full sized refrigerator in the room. No bugs. My view was cool too. I was not printed out a receipt for my stay upon checking out on Monday, 3/ 9/2026. I was told by the front desk clerk on duty, the one who checked me in on Friday, 3/6/ 2026 that a receipt would be emailed to me using the email address I provided. I was also told upon checking out that the $100.00 deposit would be refunded to me. I have checked my credit card account. I don't see where the deposit has been deposited to me. Confirmation #: 6553282426. At this point, I feel very deceived by the front desk clerk I dealt with. Did she lie to me about refunding me the deposit and emailing a receipt?

Terrible hotel elevator hasn’t worked for over a month dog poop in the hallways. You have to walk up four flights of stairs to gets to your room every day. randoms will walk up and talk to you In Parking lot & they are predatory when it comes to parking, they will tow your car or guest.

Broken elevator rude management lost deposit how can you lose a deposit and have a broken elevator and put me up on the very top floor and don't tell me about the elevator issue till after I pay for everything

My partner and I booked a 2 night stay at Extended Stay in Colorado Springs. I had booked this chain of hotel due to my previous positive experience at other locations. This location was completely different. We arrived an hour after the front desk closed, as we were traveling from out of state. Per directions, we used the wall phone to call the “on call” worker. The phone didn’t work. We called the hotel number, but no answer. Called the 1-800 number for Extended Stay, but they ended the call prematurely. Tried a few other phone numbers suggested to us by other residents, who had similar problems checking in. By the time we finally got in contact with the “on call” worker, we had been waiting for 40 minutes. After finally checking in, we were assigned a room that had not been cleaned. No sheets, dirty bathroom, no clean towels, sticky stove top, chair with noticeable stains, etc. We were disgusted and ready to just find another place to stay atp. We went back down to the front desk, telling her of our troubles and asking for a refund so we might go somewhere else after this experience. She explained that we could try getting a refund, but that we would have to call several customer service numbers to ‘possibly’ receive a refund. After a 11 hour drive, and having now been at the property for an hour without a room, we decided to just stay in another room. Wish we had just left. The place was smelly, dirty, unaccommodating, had a broken elevator, odd residents, & rude staff.

If I was reviewing based off of the staff, it would be a hundred stars. Jill and her entire crew are great. Amanda and Jen were very helpful and friendly. On the other hand, upon checking into the room, I was pretty disappointed. The bathroom was nasty. There is so much dirt stuck in the corners and there is what appears to be blood on the wall. We stayed for 3 weeks because of the great price. We washed our own towels the whole time. There was some kind of red sticky stuff by the ac unit. The microwave is super loud. The walls are paper thin. We had to have a clogged toilet from 10pm until 9:00am when the staff returned the next day. I appreciate the late check out.

This hotel stole money from us. We booked a room here and were not allowed to check in and were not given a refund. This hotel will steal from you given the chance. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and will actively tell people not to book a room here. This is theft plain and simple.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days visiting the area. The room and hotel itself was average but the people staying there were loud and the police were called as we were checking out.

First of all, this place seemed to have residents living there that looked homeless. Felt a little unsafe. No amenities in the kitchen...you bring your own everything. No breakfast, not very clean.

We got there and the area was smelly other people were loud moved us to another room and people above us were stomping on the floor all night.when we left in the morning a homeless person was sleeping in the entrance way. Not a good experience!

My flight was delayed until after the check-in time. I called ahead and used the phone in the lobby to try to contact staff. I ended up spending the night sitting outside the hotel.

The general manager was apathetic and unprofessional. The hotel was not a very clean and safe space. This was the third time in the last six months that a similar occurrence happened according to a long time residence of the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and check in was very easy. However the amenities here are very limited. This is more for people that stay for a long time not just for one night like I did. There wasn't even soap and shampoo in the bathroom.

Heater didn't work in 0° freezing temperatures, blew cold on 90 degrees, TV didn't work, never had ANY of the issues addressed nor a single apology, no resolution whatsoever, drug users roaming around all hours of the night, parking lot full of period blaring music at 3am doing drugs in their vehicles, never once did we even hear of a housekeeping service let alone see/receive one single offer of any kind, were told to keep all the dirty nasty bedding, toiletries in your room or youd be charged to take them to the fromt office, not even a coffee pot in the building, washer and dryers were horrible and you had to run the dryers a minimum of thee times in a row to even get your clothing halfway dryish because the washers never ever rinsed or spun out the ester so you were the spinner and and rinser, we were horrified by this place!!! Beware if youre anywhere even close to a normal cleanish person whatsoever because you will not be pleased here....

There was a terrible smell. I watched a guy let his dog poop in the hallway. Check in guy was rude. Was supposed to have 2 beds was given a room with just one.

Adequate.Nothing special. Man hanging around the lobby. Nowhere to sit down and talk with friends .hours are difficult if you need anything, noone is around.

The hallways were dirty. No cleaning whatsoever, trash everywhere. Staff was friendly. Rooms only refreshed every 24 days. I didn’t stay 14 days so I had to do my own laundry for clean towels, bedding at $6 a load.

I would not recommend this for family with kids. The room was smelly and the towels did not look clean. Did you feel safe and was very noisy outside as well. We had a short nap and got out as early as possible.

It was very dirty and uncomfortable the bed was small and very uncomfortable if we didn’t already check in and leave a damage deposit we would have left the floor was so dirty we couldn’t even let our daughter crawl on it

However it was inconvenient that they weren't open at 11pm and it took 15 minutes for a person to come check me in... once she did she was quite nice! While waiting though I was appraoch insode by a couple homeless people asking questions... it made me very uncomfortable. The quality of people in the area was nerve wrecking so waiting the 15 min didn't help. The next A.M I had an early flight so I left my room at 7:30am and it was still closed...so I had to slide my key under the slider and hope they got it for proper checkout. All in all, safe and clean once inside the room... but it was slightly below average. I dont think its the motels fault as much as the area its in. Security around the area and a 24 hr check in guest services would help this property immensely.

Based on appearances it was nice enough, however the bed was uncomfortable (felt like a fold out couch). The worst was that my car was broken into and wallet stolen. The staff was friendly but unhelpful, and did nothing but apologize. Additionally, the front desk is rarely staffed. If you're only staying for a short time, you would be better suited elsewhere.

The dacility first floor (hall) had a terrible odor. The room was ok. During the night a ppwer loss was occurred without staff notify us. But in general this place is pk.

The place was filthy - bed felt like you were sleeping on springs. We had a late check in because we were on our last leg of our trip and headed home early the next morning. The room lights popped on every hour and a half for no reason. Left super early with little sleep. Tried calling the front desk several times but no answer and a message saying the office does t open back up until 9am. Beware of homeless loitering in the parking lot as well.

Secondly, I will say that the room did not work the tub stayed all the water did not go away, I think the drain is bad and also the light in the room turned on every now and it was impossible to sleep and impossible to bathe because of the malfunction of the drain and the room also the shower curtain was so dirty that it was disgusting Actually, our experience in that hotel was very bad, which assured never to return again.

Cons: dog hair all over the mattress. water in shower was low pressure and luke warm. entire hotel had a cleaning agent smell so strong it sent me into an allergy & asthma attack, had to sleep with my window open. I only had to stay 3 nights and did not have to do much more than shower & sleep in my room so it was ok for the price. Close to gas stations, restaurants & Garden of the Gods.

Lower end than the extended stay 5 mi north. Very overpriced for the quality.

We stayed here while looking for a new home. It's central location for most places in Colorado Springs made the process a bit easier. Most of the staff were quite friendly and the facility was kept clean. There's a nice, paved walking path not far from the property as well.

From the photos it appeared the hotel was clean and nice but unfortunately there was a lot of homelessness around, the interior was dirty with foul smells. I will never return.

Reserved two rooms the night before. arrived before 400pm and was told they already filled their available rooms and didn’t have rooms for us. This was a pass-through trip to Colorado Springs, so we had to quickly find other accommodations

Need to hire more employees, the hotel was dirty, the hotel smelled really bad, we woke up with itchiness in our body and the beds have bed bugs, the windows need curtains so it can have a dark room. We definitely don’t recommend this hotel. We had a really bad experience.

We informed in prior about the late checkin, but still no one was in the lobby to help. Bedsheets were not clean.

Our interactions with staff were good, but overall the floors were dirty and they didn’t have clean towels available. There was lots of noise at all hours. I’m the end, the bed was clean and comfortable and it was in a good distance to everything in Colorado Springs.

I’ve stayed here in the past (under ESA management) and historically I’ve been refunded for unused nights. Recently the front desk told me I would be issued a refund, printed a receipt showing the total amount after the refund and then refused to honor that through my booking with Expedia. I will not be staying again considering they stole from me and lied about it.

I asked for a refund after one night, didn’t receive one just disrespect from the general manger Krystal, and she hung up on me and her stuff was unprofessional as well, I tried checking out on the 22nd on august told I was getting a full refund by a employee, turns out she lied never told them I checked out I lost a week in the hotel due to this just a horrible stay all together

Whelp, booked the property site unseen last minute - literally as I was driving there. The three cop cars out of front immediately made me question my choice when I arrived. Unfortunately, booking was non-refundable so I proceeded with check in where I realized that this property rents by the week and month, giving it a seedy vibe. Plus the cops onsite screaming outside occupants door to come out with their arms up. So, just beware!

From the filthy floors in the room to the utter lack of basic amenities like trash bags and toilet paper, this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Others have had worse beds, scarier locations, or dingier rooms, but this hotel was no doubt the most I’ve hated staying anywhere. And I was stuck here for 10 days. The extremely minimal furniture was incredibly uncomfortable. (Our room had just two awful plastic chairs.) The only thing I liked about this hotel was its convenient location with quick access to 25, Fillmore, and GotG (and a Dutch Bros). I will never stay here again.

The doors and floors outside the room were dirty. There was an abandoned car on the street a quarter block away. It was purely for extended stay as in no soap or shampoo in the room. Not what I expected. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

When we returned one of the rooms was still not ready. It was not until after 9pm, before it was ready. I did not ask, but for the price of the room, it would have been nice if they would have given us a price break for the inconvenience. The second thing was there were bugs in one of the rooms.

The hotel needs a bit of cleaning. There were sheets and linens laying on the floor by the elevator. But definitely not the worst hotel stay I’ve had. The rooms themselves were nice.

No lobby at this property just a check in window that wasn't always open or staffed. Arrived at 7:30pm and was told to come back later because housekeeping didn't show up that day and our room was just then being cleaned. Rooms were very sparse and weren't even stocked with soap. There are kitchens in the rooms but they weren't stocked with anything at all. The lights in the rooms would turn on/off randomly - including in the middle of the night! The drain in the shower wouldn't stay open so we had to improvise and put a pen in the opening to keep the drain open so we could shower. Wouldn't stay here again.

The room smelled like pee horribly and was very dirty. I asked to have it cleaned, they did a horrible job. Rather than complaining I just went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and did it myself. Bar far the dirties hotel in have EVER stayed in. After my experience here I will never come back

Two bath towels total in the room for 5 people. No hand soap nor hand towels or tissue. The office does not open until 10am on Sundays so we were not able to get towels to take showers. Will not stay there again.

Overall stay was ok, about what I expected. Since we got to the hotel late, check-in took a long time since there is no night desk. Room felt like it hadn't been used in a long time.

Light switch in room had a motion sensor. Several times in the night when we rolled over the lights in the whole place went on. Smoke detector and another light had plastic taped over them.

Then, someone else at the front desk yelled at me and told me she wouldn’t extend my stay just because I had asked the front desk to drop some toilet paper and a small bag I had ordered from instacart off at my door since I was sick. She wouldn’t provide me with tissues or an extra roll of toilet paper. On top of that, cleanliness is lacking. The whole building reeks of molding food and windows in public spaces were broken/cardboarded over. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. Not worth the cheap price.

This is the worst place to stay at. Their staff are not helpful at all. They tell you they will send up just the basic things and after 8 hours of being gone. They still haven’t brought it to your room. The staff leave after 8pm and don’t come back to the front desk till 10am the next morning. The manager of the hotel told me to my face that she would make sure that we would get the items we needed and we RECEIVED NOTHING!!! I recommend sleeping on the sidewalk before EVER booking here!! The roaches were the worst thing ever, they were in the beds, bathroom and around the the sinks. When we said something about it, they said we would have to wait till Wednesday and it was Sunday night. We had to buy our own soaps and bug spray to fend of the bugs in the room!!!

Never again will we book visitors here. It was a disaster from day one. They are welcoming to handicapped guests and wouldn’t refund 2 weeks of a monthly booking after my father fell reaching for a phone. He was admitted to the hospital and then a rehab unit, but they wouldn’t consider a refund. We used the room as storage so they couldn’t double dip and collect two rental fees. The management staff was insensitive, cold and heartless. Everything costs extra, internet service, basic utensils to use the efficiency kitchen. Worst hotel experience ever. Greedy, soulless, and arrogant people running a nice, clean, new building very poorly.

I asked that we check in early as we had driven a long ways from Arkansas and they said no. later we came a bubble gum stuck on floor at our door, floors were not clean, no coffee pot, blow dryer, only 2 towels for a room for 4 with 2 queen beds, and it had BED BUGS FROM HELL, BUMPS AND SORES ALL OVER! WE CHECKED OUT EARLY & NO ONE IN OFFICE EVEN WHEN WE LEFT. IT WAS AWEFUL!

Horrible service. My reservation was cancelled without my knowledge. Never received a phone call nor an email regarding the cancellation. When I arrived, the young lady at the front desk was of no assistance. I will never book at this hotel again.

1. Stepping into the hall- We could smell something unpleasant. 2. To take out room trash, we had to take it to the dumpster in the far end of the parking lot. 4. The table in the room had sticky brown residue on it. 5. We killed at least 5 roaches. I will not be staying at a WoodSprings Suites Property again.

the floor above us was extremely noisy, beside us and across the hall plus dogs were barking, people partying outside. There was a young man hanging around the cars which the security man went after. Guests were extremely noisy in the hall way, fighting at different times of day and night.

Too many things to list. No one ever cleaned. It was very gross and unsanitary.

Both times we stayed at this property we had roach problems. They don't fully clean the rooms.
