I really liked the location, having access to public transportation and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated that paking for my rental was free. Breakfast being included was also a convenience. Only trivial things such as the fact that the TV remote didn't have a sleep timer button and the fact that breakfast was exactly the same everyday.

This hotel is the perfect location for anyone visiting the University of Maryland. The breakfast is adequate and the rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A great value for the price.

The hotel is not the newest, but overall it seems to be reasonably well maintained. The breakfast is very limited, with almost no variety. The staff left a very negative impression — this is the first time I’ve experienced employees getting into the elevator with you and completely ignoring you. Even if you greet them first, there is no response. This kind of behavior is simply rude and highly unprofessional. I would strongly recommend that the hotel management either reconsider their staff or have a serious conversation with them. Greeting guests is a basic standard of service, and it’s surprising that this seems to be overlooked here. Staff should create a welcoming atmosphere, not make you feel like you are in someone else’s home. Overall, there is a lot of room for improvement, and the level of service could be significantly better.

Overall, our stay was good. Easy access to the local area. The faculty needs an update. Get rid of carpeting which is a germ magnet. Also, our bathroom’s ceiling over the shower had water damage which buckled and was unsightly. However, the room was clean. Not enough parking spaces.

Hotel was clean and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The bed was too soft/lumpy and the bedding was very worn out.

I requested a room not on the first floor but was given Room 103 which is just off the lobby, next to the noisy laundry and facing the parking lot. It felt unsafe and I had to keep the curtains tightly closed at all times. I was told a different room was not possible because a group was coming later that week. I was there 5 days so it's not clear why one of the other people arriving later in the week could not have this room. There is no internet signal in the room. I had to go in the hall or the lobby to get a signal so I could not work in my room all week. I asked the front desk several times for help with this but since the phone connected there, she did not offer a solution for connectivity in the room. My stay at this Best Western in February was a much better experience. I'm in the area frequently and I am considering going back to the Hampton Inn, where I have stayed for other trips and did not have these issues.

I love their breakfast. And the breakfast nook is very comfortable. During the summer we had a family reunion and they everyone stayed at a different hotel. We were allowed to use the breakfast nook area as a meeting place for our family and they loved it. Afterwards, they all wish that they stayed at the Best Western instead of the other hotel they stayed at.

The property is taken care of, in walking distance to campus and all of the bars and restaurants around. It is well connected to bus and metro lines.

This was my fourth extended stay with this hotel. As always, great staff willing to go the extra mile to assist. The breakfast is fantastic and coffee is available 24 hours. Highly recommended.

Best Western Plus is my "go to" hotel for all trips to College Park. It is in an excellent location. Always comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. And I love the breakfast.

So close to campus and easy to get in and out. Happy with everything.

Our room was clean enough but there was a distinct smell in the hallway…smelled like cesspool. When we reported the smell to the front desk, the staff was very nice and said they would let maintenance know. But, it was as if they knew the smell was there and the complaint had already been filed by many guests.

Stayed Thursday to Friday before Labor Day which must have affected the price —$300 per night. More like a motel interior rather than a hotel, but very comfortable, clean and microwave in room. Great night’s sleep, decent breakfast, definitely walkable to UMD campus.

Desk clerks were very welcoming and friendly - smiled and said hello / good morning every time I walked past. None sitting around playing with their cellphones. Breakfast was perfect for me. Lots of options. I'm glad there was the option for stronger coffee. Food tasted fine with no funny artificial aftertaste. Bed had perfect support. TV fine. Shower's water pressure and output good. Toilet really flushes fast and hard! Maids did great job making bed and re-stocking, emptying trash. I re-used towels and bed linen to reduce water waste. Great staff all around. Bathroom fan constantly ran. But couldn't hear it with door closed. The AC had the usual problem: Refrigerated air blowing over me each time it turned on during the night. First night, I awoke every two hours because of the fan going on. Very quiet hotel during my weekend. My first morning the hallway was extremely warm and humid. Turned out that the AC had been turned off that day. On-off buttons on lamps were a little hard to find at first because lamp designs varied. That's trivial tho. Iron and ironing board worked fine.

I’m giving three stars because, while the location felt safe and the overall experience was okay, the bathroom had a strong mold-like smell that was unpleasant and hard to ignore. It really affected the comfort of the stay. If that issue is addressed, the stay would be much better.

I had never stayed at a Best Western and we had an amazing an experience! My teenager loved the breakfast options and the room was extremely clean. Our only complaint was the shower pressure but that was a minimal thing overall.

No overnight parking (full). Was told to park in a lot down the street but move it by 730. No hot water in shower. (Not fun) charged credit card a $150 hold in case we smoked in room (didnt) and said we will get it back in 3 days after checking if we did. So many other hotels on the block. Don’t stay here.

The area was hit with a big storm.. our flight in was cancelled.. the university we were coming to see actually SHUT DOWN for the day… and this “Best” Western refused to budge on their non refundable rate- even to push our stay off for a few days. I get non refundable but nothing ‘best’ about their attitude or customer service.

Didn't like the extra charge to check in early. We arrived between 2pm and 3pm but had to pay $25 or wait until 3pm to get our room.

The hotel room is clean, staff is nice, but the appliance needs maintanence. Te AC was making a loud noise each time it started, and the smoke detector rang in the middle of night for no reason in out room. Also the quilt was too thin for winter. We felt freezingly cold at night even though room temprature is adjusted to 72.

Stayed for one night with my husband and daughter. It was a 5 minute drive to the Xfinity Center. Check in was very easy and the receptionist was thorough. The hotel is on a busy road with a lot of traffic. Our room was on the first floor and we never heard anybof it. Felt very safe in the room and all outside areas were well lit. The room was big and clean. Typical bathroom that had a working fan. Plenty of towels and linens. The beds were comfy and thermostat was easy to control. Check out was even easier. We will definitely be staying again!

Staff were very friendly answered any questions. The breakfast had several options and was hot. My daughter loved the pancakes the best. Our room was clean. I was worried when I say a van full of kids staying but I didn't hear them. I did not hear the rooms around me and I'm very thankful for that as I'm a light sleeper. The only issue was not with hotel someone was smoking pott, there was a smell in the hallway. The next morning I didn't smell it at all. Easy checkout

I've stayed at multiple properties along Baltimore Ave and this one is my favorite so far. Decent price, good location, free parking and no goofy design decisions for the sake of aesthetics, like barn doors on bathrooms. Breakfast included or walking distance from plenty of other choices. We have an early flight and asked the front desk clerk if we can get some food (bread) from the kitchen since the food was already served. NO CONSIDERATION given, he said the kitchen is still closed NO YOU CAN'T....

I had a reservation through Expedia. The overnight front desk person charged me again. Trying to explain I had already paid for he said Expedia is a third party and has nothing to do with the hotel and if I want to I have to call them to resolve it myself. As I tried to show my reservation he started yelling and swearing in front of my 14 years old son and another guest. I told him I need to speak to management he said he was the manager and he said he would call the police which I could not understand because he was the one yelling. The police came (his friends) and told me I need to leave per property owner. It was 12am and the police officer would not hear my side of the issue. And the “Sargent Green” was rude and said he does not want to hear what I have to say. I’ve been all around the world and the US and haven’t seen or experienced nothing like that. Even my kid could not figure it out what es happening. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. It far from a hotel or hotel or hotel service. Very scaring!!!

Building is well maintained, staffs are very good.

The front desk receptionist was sooo nice! We had a smooth check in. There’s a water jug and free newspapers in the lobby which was nice, the rooms are super clean, the bed comfy, mini fridge and microwave. We didn’t make it to the breakfast downstairs but they do have a dining area and breakfast until 10am. It was quiet and peaceful. Parking was easy (although limited, so good thing there were enough spots when we got here and it wasn’t busy). Very close to UMD and lots of restaurants. We’re very happy!!

Excellent service; breakfast is good but work on the menu for each day to give people who stay here for several days a different taste.

Stayed one night in a king bed room with a pull out couch. The hotel seems a little older but everything was clean and everyone was super nice. The king bed was comfortable but my two kids (who usually love pull out couches) said the couch bed was really bad. Setting it up with them, it did seem very worn and thin and uncomfortable. Again, sheets, pillows, towels, bathroom - all clean! For the price of a room for the night, my husband and I were honestly impressed with the room overall and the free breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect for us and we loved that the parking was free. We knew we weren’t booking anything fancy so we were overall very happy.

Our stay has been wonderful. The hotel is very close to an event venue that we went to. The breakfast buffet is great, fried eggs, breads, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, turkey sausage, fried potatoes, coffee, juices, and more. Our room is very spacious with great features such as a room safe, microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker with free coffee and tea cups. The bathroom is very nice with a good shower, good lighting, etc. The only negative was that the remote to our tv wasn't working with the tv other than to turn the unit on and off and adjust the volume. We only had access to one station. A very nice worker from the front desk tried her best to correct the situation, but couldn't. Even with the tv problem in room 102, we would definitely stay again and even request the same room which was very convenient.

This is a nice place to stay in College Park. Have stayed a couple of times as we visit the area often. Great breakfast in the morning. Very nice people and excellent service. I left my Kindle in the room and they called me to let me know they had it. We would stay there again!

Nice walking distance to UMD-College Park campus. Stayed here a couple of nights for daytime meetings with colleagues at the university. No complaints! Included breakfast was alright, and staff was friendly.

The apartment is clean. It's easy to find a parking lot.

graduation was postponed and would have liked to book the room for a 3rd night, wanted to charge more then we paid for each of the first two nights, outrageous!

Great stay. My daughter goes to UMD and I drove up from Georgia to move her home for the summer. I was exhausted after the 10 hour drive and the hotel was nice and comfortable. Bed was comfy. I’d recommend it over the other pricier hotels where I’ve stayed in the area.

Clean, convenient, friendly check in staff. Construction outside not the hotel’s fault but only drawback. Breakfast ok, nothing special but a Dennys across the street. Convenient area. Decent rate. Would definitely stay again.

I am giving an average rating based on the courteous staff that corrected the problems we had from the start. However, I feel that many of the issues should have been taken care of when making sure room was ready for use. First room we were given had water all over the bathroom floor. Switched rooms quickly arranged. Second room, none of the electrical outlets or lamps worked in the bedroom area. Only kitchen, hall, and bathroom outlets and lights worked. Staff had to come reset it behind a panel, wasn't something new she new it happens. The face plate of the plug by coffee maker is coming off the wall, as well as one drawer handle on dresser comes off in your hand if used. Best parts Staff responses were quick and efficient, lots of coffee pods to use for coffee maker, and overall room and bathroom exceptionally clean. We would stay again, but would check out all lights and outlets after entering room. Did not check out the Continental Breakfast, went to Denny's instead.

Has more rooms than parking spots in their parking lot, which creates an issue when the hotel is full. Owner needs to rectify this.

Great little hotel, everyone on staff that we encountered was very friendly. The location was ideal - walkable to UMD campus and lots of dining options. The rooms and common areas were very clean, breakfast selection was as expected, overall a great stay.
