Village Inn Clemmons/Winston Salem, Trademark by Wyndham

This property will be my “go to” hotel whenever I visit Clemmons (to go to Break Time for a Billiards tournament) and need to stay overnight. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. The property is quiet and conveniently located close to entertainment, food, and shopping. Plenty of food at the breakfast buffet, and the quality/taste was much better than I had expected. My only complaint about the breakfast is that we weren’t allowed to bring it to the room. Sadly, the lack of available USB & USBC ports/outlets in the room was frustrating. My block died in the middle of the night, so my phone lost battery. Most hotels as of late have them. This hotel should consider having a jack in the room. The front desk staff were pleasant/nice, but not exceptional. I hope to be back next June. All that said, this is the best hotel in the area. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was really good compared to most hotels. The pool was nice. I would stay here again. The hotel needs to be updated a bit.

We spent 2 days at the Village Inn and had zero issues...my room was clean and the hotel staff super friendly...it's an older hotel but still in good shape...If I have any more tournaments in the Clemmons area I will book here again.

I love staying here. However, the rooms are not always available.

Rooms were very clean. It would be nice if the hotel made it clear at booking that there was no elevator and inquired if that would be a problem. Also, not a fan of the no door bathrooms. All in, its a reasonable accommodation.

The breakfast bar was excellent. But we were not told the WiFi password, it was seen at the breakfast buffet but we were leaving right after that. The key cards that we were given were demagnetized right after we got in our room. Also we had to go through an entrance that was constantly being used by smokers.

Honestly this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I stood at the counter and had to call 3x to get someone to check me in. She said she was in the back warming her food. Then the heat and air wouldn't switch when we first got in the room so they sent maintenance who knew NOTHING. We fixed the thermostat ourselves and finally got the room warmed up. There was a quinsetta gong on so there were adults and children running to and down the hallway being very loud all night. Went out and got breakfast because I couldn't trust the cleanliness of the facility or staff.

I'm so surprised that Wyndum Hotel would attach this low class facility, aweful Staff was aweful and the building and facilities were outdated and nasty

Kay, at the desk, was very kind, personable and helpful. Shower was either hot or lukewarm. It would not adjust to a comfortable temp. Prefer a hot breakfast which is only available here on weekends. However the sack breakfast was generous. We only stayed 2 days so not an issue but sink was not draining well.

The hotel was great! It was clean, everything worked how it should, and it was a great value. The staff was super friendly, and it was close to the festival of lights without being too close.

Food was great. Bed was comfortable. A little dated. Tub didn't have a stopper so I couldn't take a bath.

The sweet looked nice online. Pay a $50 refundable damage free through booking. I get to the hotel and they are demanding that I pay an additional $100 damage fee in order to check in. After getting no help from staff i call booking to get it all sorted, hotel agrees to honor the $50 already paid but still makes me pay an additional $50 to check in. After all that fuss I get into the room and floors have clearly not been swept, very crunchy, stove in Kitchen did not work, TVs stuck on telemondo so we couldn’t use the TVs. Had to plug in the dirty room phone in order to use it. All the fuss for a $100 damage fee for a sub par room. 6/10 wouldn’t recommend. Staff was very rude, un welcoming, not helpful and were upset after talking to booking and making the accommodation for me to check in.

They only had bag breakfast. They said they only serve hot breakfast on weekends. My husband is a diabetic and everything in the bag had a lot of sugar. When I booked the room it said that they had great breakfast so we had to go out for breakfast every day. Will not stay there again.

The breakfast wa excellent with very kind staff waiting. Overall excellent experience. The only drawback is the hotel is an older building, but it is clean

I love the quietness and the cleanliness. The lady that is normally at the front desk is very friendly. The other girls were fine just not as friendly. I was also very taken back that the hallway reeked of marijuana when I came back on Sat evening.

Beautiful fresh cooked (not preheated) breakfast buffet with table service for coffee and juice served on crisp white tablecloths. I liked it so much I came back to stay a second night and the bartender even remembered my drink.

Yes, the property has been around awhile and there are some noticeably dated things but our room was exceptionally clean and that to me was the most important thing! Complimentary breakfast isn’t your usual Continental, waffle maker etc. It was an American breakfast, eggs, bacon/sausage, grits, potatoes, biscuits, fresh fruit with coffee at your table poured out by an attentive attendant. It was reasonably priced, right off I-40, convenient for what we needed. Safe and quiet, good for our overnight stay!

The breakfast was different and delightful versus a continental breakfast plus the lady who services the dining room is pleasant. Clean and tidy room. The employees definitely made this place exceed expectations.

"brown!" Clerks were apathetic; barely greeting us when we arrived and not smiling. Obviously not a great place to work. The only staff that were smiling and helpful were the cleaning staff. Would never recommend or stay here again.

This is a great older hotel with a lot of character. I personally love the older hotels that are maintained well like this one. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The hotel has acquit parking. Not something I usually say about the newer styles.

We booked a queen suite for a short stay while remodeling project was being completed. We have attended several wedding receptions at the Village Inn over the years and were very familiar with this long established hotel. Well maintained property in a great location with many amenities. Highly recommend.

The rooms were darn near spotless and other than an older shower and bath was very comfortable and again, very very clean. I will absolutely stay here again. The staff was very friendly at all times and made you feel at home. Probably the best hotel experience I have had in years.

Overall, good stay. There was a decent size spider in the bed sheets that had to be killed. There was also large fairly large spider on the wall of the hall going from the lobby to the room that had to be killed.

There’s got to be a way that they can offer guests the ability to bring food to their room without having to charge. The “wait staff” was extremely unpleasant. At check out, the receptionist was on a personal phone call and tried to check me out at the same time. Kind of off-putting to have to listen to someone’s personal call. Very unprofessiona.

Across from the laundry area where all the activities happen throughout the day. Door to room was stuck more times than it opened. Tried to get help at front desk. The person in charge for the evening was in her car??? Had requested a handicap room. Wouldn't move us and my husband can't step up for a shower. Asked 2 times and was told the handicap room was "having pictures " taken in them. It is definitely definitely not family friendly. A lot of construction workers/ fema/ welfare people. Never ever again. Beware.......

Loved everything about our stay with the exception of checkout. I got a text at 8am asking us when we were checking out 🙄 Checkout is at 11am. At 10:30 am, my husband came back to the room to get me after loading the truck and the key card for our room had already been deactivated. He couldnt get back in the building or the room. The lady at the front desk acted like she was aggravated when my husband went to the front desk to ask why his key card was deactivated already. The lady at check in was lovely, but our checkout experience was definitely not.

After trying to swap rooms due to my work truck being parked in the back of building, I was told that “everything is safe, multiple cameras are on location.” Will wake up and all my tools are gone, then after realizing I left my firearm in the room due to the police being called for a report, I was told nothing was turned in. $5000 worth of items gone.

We liked that the Village Inn was very close to our son's home and in a quiet area with very little traffic. The staff was very helpful, too.

There was an alarm that went off in the next room in the middle of the night. When I called the front desk they said that no one was in the room and that they would come turn off the alarm. Very prompt, but it was very difficult to get to sleep. The electric outlet was funky and didn’t always work.

Nice, quiet and clean room!

The hotel was a pleasant experience.

They were super friendly and clean. I’d only say a few things. Who uses bar soap anymore? Also, for such a nice place I was put off by the cheap looking shower mat. I didn’t like parking on the back of the building because it was dark. I didn’t like their restaurant was closed. Breakfast on the go wasnt anything to brag about. Especially when the super 8 in front of them has waffles and cereal. I got the room for $47.50. Thought I might have to stay another night, now it’s like $75. They had an icream cooler that was empty and a Coke cooler with no Coke. Also, there is no mention of a laundry room.

We always stay here when in the area and never disappointed. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly an even remembers us. The included breakfast is worth 1/2 the price of the room. And restaurant on site after a long day is awesome. Highly recommend

Great hospitality, clean rooms, shopping close by, easy access to interstate 40.

Staff was nice , room was good size for a suite and had 2 bathrooms with showers. Definitely a plus with 3 adults and 3 kids. Everything you need is right across from hotel. I recommend Lowe’s grocery store for great coffee spot, muffins that are delish, and any food or other items you need.

For the price it was okay. Property was vet outdated beds were uncomfortable and the hot water was luke warm.

I had a great stay here & would definitely stay here again. It's a good solid hotel, just obviously not new. Their big advantage at this property is their staff. They were Johnny on the spot with any problem, question or recommendation. Especially a lady named Karen.

Great room and location but very noisy right outside our room

The hallways smelled of cigarettes despite it being non smoking. The room however was wonderful and did not share that smell.

Older property but well kept. The rooms and facility were clean and well cared for. The staff was attentive and kind. I would definitely recommend them and I would stay with them again.

Affordable, comfortable, all the appliances (fridge, microwave, hair dryer), and friendly staff. Would definitely book again.

The landscaping was maintained and added to the atmosphere with somewhat older facilities. The carpet in the hallways was a good fit with the overall design of the hotel and event center.

Loved the hanging chair in the lobby, the flower wall, the hotel itself was nice. Breakfast was very good.

When we checked in we were greeted by the nicest lady. She took time to let us know where everything waa located, the different ways to gwt to our room, time breakfast is served. The hotel was very quite. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

The property was very clean. Heater/AC Kept coming on and off throughout night and the cover came off. Overall nice stay.

Solid spot for a quick stay.

Room was okay except we had booked a handicap room with a bathtub and they had removed bathtubs and put in roll in showers. We were moved to another room which wasn’t handicapped accessible that had a tub. It was okay due to I use a cane when walking. Not sure if I would stay at the hotel again.
