WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED, OFF THE BEATEN TRA CK, BUT MY TOTAL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. IVE LEARNED OVER THE YEARS THE LESS EXPENSIVE HOTELS ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE MANAGER - AND THIS ONE IS A 5 STAR, AND THIS FROM A FEMALE SENIOR TRAVELING ALONE.

Great location and great value. Several youth sports teams kept the lobby busy and too much noise.

Staff was great and room was clean. Bed was hard as a rock. Pool was not cleaned and there were not enough tables and chairs to accomodate multiple guests. Breakfast was horrible with powdered eggs and overcooked sausage.

Our reservation didn’t exist when we got there so we had to book two smaller rooms to make up for the one we had originally booked

Two night stay for us, hotel grounds and pool were well maintained, safe area, hotel interior and room was clean, comfortable beds, hotel was perfectly located for us, and the front staff was super! No carpet in the rooms, which in my opinion is a long overdue move for the hotel industry in general. Would have no problems staying here again.

Breakfast was so so. Coffee was very good. Cold A/C, comfy bed, nice bathroom, fridge, microwave, all this girl needs.

Couldn't sleep due to thin blankets and terrible pillows.

Room was clean beds were comfortable.. pillows were a little small, but I always bring my own pillow.. staff was OK except for one night. He was high sleeping on the couch with his girlfriend. Air-conditioning worked great and plenty of parking for truck in our trailer for the motorcycle.

It wasn't terrible

The rooms aren't well insulated against noise. I had a poolside room, and there was constant noise from the other guests at the pool. You could also hear people in the hallway and in adjacent rooms. So bring a sound spa to drown out all the noise. The sheets were very worn and not very soft. Room was spacious and comfortable.

First off, this is the cleanest, freshest smelling and most orderly hotel I’ve ever been in. Hands down. You can actually witness how diligently the staff cleans and organizes right in front of your eyes. Including the elevators! The outside equally done to perfection with an organized arrangement to the landscaping & exceptional cleanliness. Large, smooth, well-marked parking lot, too. Attractive building, great in-house pantry selections (neatly arranged), big clean pool & patio. The King room had a nice open space with just the perfect amount of matching & useful furniture (yes proof it’s possible for a hotel to have this combo lol), and the decor and lighting were excellent. I’ll end it with the employees, ALL of which were friendly & inviting. Nothing.

The staff manager need to pay more attention to the guests when they are checking in. Manager should not talking to the employee while he/she is busy with the customers.

Dude started breakfast a little early our morning of checkout so my girlfriend could get a coffee - that was nice Honestly, the only average part was the dude who checked us in. Seemed normal enough but there was a pile of dirty linen outside our room door that stayed there for the duration of our stay, the bathroom REEKED of cigarettes and honestly was just dirty (but that baked in dirt like it’s been there for years), elevator was terribly sketchy, bed sheets were basically 1 ply toilet paper & given the overall vibe of the room we were too horrified to use the blanket in the closest due to honest to god bed bug fear

Room was just okay, bathroom door would not open, got stuck on the floor, TV wouldn’t work, sheet and thin duvet on the bed, no blanket to be found, breakfast was just okay.

It was very noisy but thankfully we were given a nice quiet room at the back of motel. Everything else was 5 star. Staff member Katherine was the hardest working person I have ever seen.

Clean Terrible Manager...he said his name was Jeff and there was also another guy who was Hispanic to my best guess. They were terribly rude and unhelpful....my power bank most likely got stolen there... when I came back to the room one night my door was open and when I asked them to check the cameras they just said they got more important stuff to do and hung up the phone call...never experienced sth like this in my life...("We won't spend checking hours of camera footage for you")

This hotel is average at best. It seems like this hotel is being maintained and run on an extremely low budget. There have been some recent upgrades but you can tell they have been done in the cheapest way possible. Just enough to make it look good but that’s about it. We had construction dust on our door handle inside and out that we had to wipe off ourselves. You could tell the room had recent work done to it and there was still debris on the floor especially in the corners and hard to see places. The carpet also has debris on it so you could tell it hadn’t been fully cleaned after renovations. The house cleaning is bare minimal. Pretty much empty the garbage, make the bed, and replace the towels. Not once in our 4 night stay was our room swept or vacuumed. One day housekeeping never showed up at all so we had to call to get towels replaced. If your good with toast, bagels, and muffins then you’d like the breakfast. The warm food isn’t much to talk about. Again the breakfast seemed to be just enough to say they provide breakfast but nothing to write home about that’s for sure. All in all this is just an average hotel, don’t expect anything more. We originally booked 7 nights but had return home due to an emergency after 4 nights and unfortunately got billed for the full 7 nights. They wouldnt return payment for our unused nights. We booked through Expedia so hotel blamed Expedia for it and Expedia blames hotel. Good customer service would refund unused nights

Great location to the interstate. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was good. The room we had was just recently painted, there was a smell in the towels. Asked for new towels and we had new towels. The curtain was taped up not to get paint on them, which meant we couldn’t close the curtains. Called front desk and he showed up with a step ladder and fixed the issue. Was really a nice hotel. And great service

Extremely upset and disappointed in the staff, they did not realize that they already gave us the room. We are in the room, and then they gave keys to another guest, which walked in our room why my wife was changing. I am extremely upset that something like this occurred. I expect privacy when I pay to stay at a hotel. I expressed my displeasure with the staff. Yes, they did apologize with rolling eyes extremely disrespectful.

The gym was minimally equipped, but good enough for traveling people. The room was well furniture and very ample (we chose a suite, even though there were only 2 of us). The breakfast was typical of simple serve self yourselves breakfast places, but the entries were better than average and very clean

Decent overall, but the room had a weird odor when we first went in. My husband thought it smelled like dogs. Very sparse furnishings, just one chair to sit in, looked empty as if something was missing. No hair dryer.

I’ve stayed many times over the last 7-8yrs and unfortunately it has deteriorated. The staff is usually nice but the rooms need serious upgrades and repairs. They’re so old that there’s an odor you smell as soon as you walk into the hotel room!

FO NOT BOOK A SATURDAY NIGHT….. the restaurant in front holds a bike event and there had to be 250+ super noisy ninja type bikes there from checkin at 5 to 11 …. So loud !!! We went out for dinner and couldn’t get back to the hotel parking lot, had to get out of the car and speak to someone to escort us through the bikes.

Cleanliness. Room conditions/repair. Mattress - old and uncomfortable. Smell in lobby upon arrival was not pleasant.

Our stay was during the St. Petersburg F1 race. The hotel was sold out. It was remarkably quiet considering, until we were woken up at 2:30 am with the TV blasting in the next room. It was so loud we could make out the dialog. We waited 10 minutes and then called down to the front desk and asked them to please address the problem. Nothing happened. At 3 am I knocked on their door and asked if they would please turn it down. No response. When we checked out at 5am for our flight, ( it was still as loud) we asked what had transpired and the night manager said he called and no one picked up. Needless to say, that was not handled well and we were not compensated for a sleepless night.

The room was clean, but the bathtub needs to be remodeled because there was rust inside it. The breakfast was not good. The eggs and burgers seemed pre-cooked and were just reheated in the microwave. There were no healthy options available, except for a small apple.

Our first room smelled like sewage and we were moved. Our second room had problems with the TV but were resolved. The fan in the bathroom was separated from the ceiling, the bathtub didn’t drain, and there was no hair dryer. But the kicker was they charged my credit card 4 times and it won’t be resolved until next week. This was a disaster.

No heat available in the entire hotel. 49 * in Florida. They gave me a space heater, when I complained. Lobby was dark, when asked why, the staff said to cut back on the electric bill. Staff said on 5th owner. Tub filthy, carpet stained, bed super firm, towels like sandpaper. The only thing positive I can say is that the sheets were clean.

Staff was VERY friendly, room was clean. They were very accommodating even though they are goong through renovations. The breakfast was really good. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed one night here! Served my purpose. I was up from the southern east coast with my band. We had a gig at OCC Roadhouse (right across the street) and I wanted something close to the venue. Many perks for the simple stay; close to where I needed to be, it was clean, good price, staff was friendly. Free parking! If you need a place to sleep and shower, this is your place. No complaints. We did stay on the coldest weekend ever, and the heater in the room stopped working, but we had extra blankets and sweatshirts so it was ok for one night.

Room had a smell I can’t describe. It was very noticeable, but not bad enough to ask for another room. Bathroom towels were stained and floor was sticky. The chair in the room was also stained enough I covered it with a stained towel to sit on.

The toilet was not completely bolted down, so it would rock side to side when you sat down, the shower would not drain, and by the end of the shower, the water would be up to your ankles. The tub was dirty due to this issue. There was only one bath towel in the room at check-in. I had to go get a towel from the room staff. The bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. On to the breakfast. It was free, so you get what you pay for. Horrible.

Air was ok. Staff was nice. Parking felt safe. Because LaQuinta is a animal friendly motel, they should make sure the rooms are extra clean. The room smelt like an animal, pet hair and cat food was left. Also, The pandemic is over, rooms should be completely cleaned everyday. On top of animal being in the rooms, you really don't know if a room was cleaned properly even if you don't see anything. I won't be staying again. Staff gave me sheets to put on my bed, after I asked.

Room was good and clean, GM was friendly and good to do business with. Needs work: pool was dirty, very basic fitness center (basically only cardio machines and an unstable bench), the facility outside of the actual rooms is dirty, in the elevator it looks like some sort of gucked up peanut butter like substance at the top if you look up, there's a water/ice machine by the lobby elevators and the side of it is covered in bacteria or some sort of mold growing on it. Overall cleanliness needs work.

I chose this hotel going on reviews. Cleanliness was the main thing. It was not clean!!! First off everything was old. They must have done a remodel of the front because it looks all modern and new. However the minute you walk onto the lobby that is another thing all together. The room had a moldy and old smell. There was little dust bunnies in the corners of the room and bathroom. The tub was stained grey around the fixed mat. I took a shower but to be honest don’t feel clean. The arm chair had a stain on it. There wasn’t a blanket on the bed. Just a sheet and the bed cover they put on. Which needless to say I took off. It was a bit chilly last night so turn on heater being no blanket but the air coming out was barely warm at best. You may say why didn’t I complain to staff, well what difference would it have made but to be moved to a different room that was probably the same. After driving 10 hours I don’t feel like dealing with all that. Being priced over $120 I expected a bit more. I am not sure what kind of hotels all these other folks have stayed in to think this is a clean hotel. I would really hate to see what their definition of dirty is. I personally don’t recommend this place at all. Stay in your car at least you know who has been there and it’s definitely cleaner.

First night the room was very cold Temp outside an unusual 43 degrees overnight and the thru the wall unit only put out cold air. The thin sheet and very light bedspread . Tried to sleep in our clothes and bathrobes which helped warmth a little but uncomfortable all night. The next afternoon I asked for 2 blankets and we given two very thick ones which kept us warm in the still cool room under which we both slept beautifully!

Nice and quiet until a live band somewhere behind the hotel started playing. They did stop at 10pm.

The rooms were dirty. The walls had stains on them. The tub and curtain had stains. There was hair in the bathroom when we arrived. The wash cloths had hair in them. The housekeeping came about half way through our stay and basically just changed the trash cans. They halfway made up the beds. The young lady that checked us in was friendly but the other employees, we had to greet them first whenever we came back to the hotel. They were not welcoming or friendly at all. The breakfast was not good. I was surprised because this hotel had decent reviews but this hotel was just somewhere to lay your head. We were in town to celebrate my moms birthday and I honestly wish we had stayed elsewhere. I wouldn't come back to this location

The room smelled of dog, dog hair on box spring. Talked to front desk clerk as I checked out and he seemed indifferent to the situation. Not even an apology.

Couldnt give 5 stars because the cleanliness of the bathroom was sub par. I noticed some stains on the back of my bathroom door that looked like green snot that I easily wiped off. One of my wash cloths was so worn, it was disintegrating in the shower and looked more like cheesecloth than a wash rag. Besides the bathroom, the room was fine although the sheer curtains were ripped. The staff was friendly and the location to US19 is great. Last time I stayed here it was great so maybe it was just the room I got this time.

I looked for a room at the last minute for just one night. We didn't expect much, but it was still a bit run down. There was a cobweb on the nightstand.

There was drywall damage around the air conditioning unit and shower unit needed to be reglazed. It give the appearance of not being clean.

The stay was pretty standard. Nothing special about it. Breakfast was meh. La Quinta charged a deposit and has not refunded and is not very responsive in trying to rectify.

The AC wasn't working in the lobby, hallways or elevators and it was hot. The breakfast was very sparce and just ok. We we're going to hang by the pool after checkout but it was dirty with leaves on the bottom and bugs floating everywhere. It was gross. You could tell that the employees were not happy, complaining about staffing, hours, etc. I stay at La Quinta hotels a lot but won't stay at this one again.

Property was great, however a few comments: you need to improve your breakfast choices, it should be obvious by the amount thrown in the trash! Also, enforce the hours of pool usage - patrons sitting around the pool till 2:00 A.M. should not be permitted!

The hotel is on a main road and that is convenient but also it feels exposed. Apart from that is feels like it was recently remodeled so it is clean and the rooms are good and spacious. The breakfast is included and they have a good variety of items. We stayed for one night and it was good for the value and good distance between St Pete and Tampa.

Great place to stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower. Beyond that, the amenities of free breakfast and fitness equipment were well stocked and in good working order. Courtesy at check-in and check-out was outstanding, housekeeping staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again.

I had no issues with the property. The room was very nice and clean. I had come into town because my brother was in ICU. Unfortunately he passed and on the day i was to notify them to cancel the remainder of my stay at the hotel. I spoke with the manager they were cancelling the remainder of my stay but because of their STRICT 24 HOUR NOTIFICATION they would not refund the day i was flying back home. He apologized and said there was nothing he could do. So even the death of a love one wont get you a refund. I did send a email to corporate but no answer back from them and really dont expect one.

Simple check in/out

The hotel is not new, but it is well mai ntained. Everytthing was very clean. Even the landscaping is very nice. Would definitely stay again.

As it was spring break and we were there to visit family, I thought the rate was a bit high for what you were getting, but then again all the properties in the area had increased their rates. Also, I’m sensitive to smells and thought the cleaning solution of Fabulouso was a bit strong throughout the property. Seems like the air quality was a bit poor. Breakfast was nice, but wish the sausage links could be replaced with something else. The patties were ok, but the links looked very unhealthy. Nice arrangement of breads an muffins. The girl in charge does an amazing job.

This hotel was filthy. Additionally, it was false advertised. Upon arrival, I was met by staff and was not greeted. Once I got to the room, I noticed that the ceiling of the room was cracked tremendously. I was guaranteed a room with a pool view. Instead, I was looking at the parking lot with the pool on the left side. I could barely see the pool. The room was $300 a night. There were stains and rust throughout the room. The Refrigerator in the room was white and out of date. I called front desk and requested to be switched out of the room and was told that they are unable to switch my room. Due to the circumstances, I left the hotel the next day. I felt unsolved and the hotel was way too filthy. I contacted Expedia and they advised that they will speak with the owner reference a refund. The representative recommended that I leave the hotel before 11 o’clock am to secure a refund. Today I was told that I will only get a $70 reward. The owner of the hotel told me that this was the responsibility of Expedia due to them falsely advertising. This is extremely unfair that no one is taken responsibility.

Price was great for the quality! Clean rooms, easy check-in, bed was comfy, quiet and overall a great hotel. I thought the breakfast was low quality. The bedding is not very warm and they give you one towel per person.

In Florida for my daughter's military ceremony/promotion. Hotel was convenient to where we were going, although finding it late at night from the Restuarant nearby was a bit of a challenge...more signage as to how to wind around the other business would have been helpful. The room was quite adequate for 4, the breakfast while typical hotel food was plentiful, and the cleanliness was great. We did have to ask for extra towels as only two were provided for a room for 4 but they got them to us right away.

The room was disgusting! The price was advertised for one amount an we were charge me $100 a night more. The smell as bad. I will never recommend this hotel!

Front desk personnel were professional and friendly. Bed very comfortable and room was clean. Shower and sink great water pressure and temperature. My only issue was the gym could use better equipment, lighting and ventilation.

The facility is good. The area is industrial.

Bathroom setup very poor. No vanity for essentials and electrical outlets across room rather than near mirror. Noisy traffic on highway made for poor rest. Pool area basic, not attractive at all and alongside back of building where others congregated to smoke.

It was an okay stay. The facilities could use a makeover, and the breakfast hours should be longer. Waking up at 6:00 am for breakfast, which ends at 9:00 am, is tough. It was also reasonably clean. I probably wouldn't stay here again if traveling with my family, but I would consider it if I were traveling alone for business.

Lobby and breakfast area very warm no air circulation. Breakfast was good rooms were good size.

Staff was great and the hotel is very nice.

The check in went quick and smooth. The man at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Wish we could have stayed the full night. We were called out after being there just a few hrs. They do require a $100.00 deposit on top of the fee for the room. Which they say your suppose to get it back after check out. Its been 3 days and no sign of any deposit back in my account. Fingers crossed they are honest.

I wish I could have given 0 stars. None of my amenities worked management very rude. I canceled my stay and noticed 3 others also cancelled theirs. This la Quinta is not a chain it’s a private owner they are cutting corners to keep this hotel open. Shower didn’t even drain, WiFi didn’t work, walls and ceilings were caving in, none of the pics on Expedia looked like this hotel.

Great place yo stay for the price. Free breakfast wasn’t expected but was included!

Was the cheapest option on saint pete island so you get what you pay for which is decent place to lay your head down

Pretty clean rooms and halls, nice weight room. Breakfast was ready on time and clean eating area.
