We had a great stay. The property is small, but perfect. Beds were comfortable and property is well maintained with very nice staff.

I always like this good breakfast, rooms with patios or balconies. Nice courtyard with plenty of seating. Good pool and hot tub. The location is just Okay? The hotel next door is low rent, occasionally characters wander over.

Looks like the first floor was remodeled and they skipped the second floor. Bathroom was very dirty, room was ok. They have balconies off the room, how ever smokers made it impossible to enjoy.

Beds were comfortable. All necessities provided in room, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Timely linens and towels changed. Pool was clean. Loved everything. Nothing. Just a suggestion. Kettle can be added in room.

We had a great stay, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. We couldn't have asked for a better room. Literally opened the glass sliding doors of our room and we were about 12 ft from the pool and had two dedicated chairs to sit near the pool on our own little patio. The location was near everything you would need, restaurants, stores, beaches, etc.

The pool and hot tub were great, the staff was amazing very helpful and nice. The room was nice, the blankets could be upgraded to softer ones also the AC was nice it cooled great i will just have to remember to bring a fan to circulate the cool air

A/C unit in the room was always on and it was noisy. Even if we put it in auto mode, it makes just a fee seconds of brief stop and resume blowing up again. So little sleep.

Older motel for sure but for one night it was perfect. Found charging $10 for a roll away was a bit much. The roll away was very thin and all all you felt were the springs. It’s too bad they don’t just accommodate one with one of these if asked. Not worth $10 anyhow other than the place being old and out dated it was perfect for our one night needs

We stayed for 6 days and thank the Lord had no issues. On the day of our arrival, Brooke at the front desk was very pleasant. We had a room that faced the inside part of the hotel where we could see the pool and the nicest part of the hotel. If you have a lengthy stay, definitely request it. Especially if you plan on sitting in the balcony area, like we did. Our room was cleaned daily with no issues. I actually saw lots of cleaning being done throughout the hotel during my stay. Which is always a plus. We requested and paid for a late checkout and had no issues there either. Free breakfast was a super plus. And it was good! The roach motel (roadway inn) across the parking lot. Gross. Definitely glad we were nowhere near it. Trashy, and sometimes loud! We only saw it when we parked our car. Thank the Lord. The pool towels need to be cleaned better and need to be replaced completely. They are super small. Like even too small for a kid. Something the hotel should definitely upgrade. The towels do nothing. Super thin and rough. That being said, Overall a good experience.

Front desk was friendly, I check in online and when arrived they got my key ready with a smile! The room was comfortable, clean and not noisy. Good options for breakfast. I did not use the pool but it seems very nice from the view of my room. It is dog friendly and easy access to bring them outside. Good location

Property was not located in the hood and there were no homeless crowd hanging around. Breakfast was good. The room ac was not good at all. Upon entering the room it was 80 degrees and it took all night to cool to 74. The next day someone staying down the hall let there dog take a number 2 in the hallway. It took staff well over a hour to get it cleaned but by that time it was too late the smell was in all the room. Lucky for us we were ready to check out so we left early.

The staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. They even give you a complimentary snack. The breakfast was super good with great variety and quality (not 2 but 3!! waffle machines!!), but better than that was how spacious and comfortable the eating area was, wow! Plenty of tables and space! I couldn’t imagine that place being crowded as in the previous hotel we stayed. The location in downtown was adequate for our purposes of going to Clearwater beach because it is a few blocks away from a public garage and the Park St jolley trolley station that we took to the beach instead of driving and finding parking in a busy holiday. The only issue I encountered was the room AC. It didn’t cool that much, and seemed weak so the room felt a bit warm. But everything else was wonderful. I wouldn’t hesitate in booking this hotel! I recommend it 100%!! 🙂

The property was very clean and well kept. Any room service we needed was promptly attended to. The pool and breakfast area and the hot tub were immaculate. We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the pool. I would definitely recommend this La Quinta and would stay there again.

Nice and well kept pool but on Memorial Day weekend pol was crowded with children and chair hogs.

It’s clean and renovated. Best carpets I’ve seen in a hotel in a long time. The staff is super helpful. They offer free cucumber water and coffee. The pool is nice, the rooms are large, clean and comfy. You even get conditioner, which most 4star hotels no longer provide. There is a fantastic breakfast restaurant next door, called Lenny’s. Very reasonably priced, open til 3 pm. They could install a few sun umbrellas at the pool as you get full exposure and it’s boiling hot.

I loved the effort of making sure that every thing was tasteful and clean, updated. The only corner wit zero landscaping was outside my room where is was raw dirt. That did not affect how wonderful everything else was, just aesthetics. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. Staff was helpful and professional. I will definitely return!

I was refunded $20!!!! I know the difference between the suite & double bed per room was more than $20!!! Never again will I give my $$ to this hotel again!

The rooms are quiet and spacious. The pool is a good size and the front desk was knowledgeable. The room was clean and the free breakfast was a life saver. Lots of normal breakfast options but cooked well and was never empty or messy. For the price this was a great option for the weekend which was not expensive. They even accommodated my request prior to arriving. Just a great stay.

The receptionist is very professional and helpful. The rooms are large. Really small pool. The picture of the place is misleading. One of the rooms had a balcony in the parking lot.

Overall, this stay was better than expected. I have never stayed at a La Quinta and the external condition may leave you feeling as if this was a poor choice. BUT everything was clean inside the rooms, breakfast was actually good, and the staff were very kind and helpful!

Watch for cockroaches. Florida is full of them.

The cleaning staff was also great and cleaned thoroughly by request because we had someone arrive later. When we returned it literally smelled and looked so clean. The hot tub and pool was also amazing and pool towels were always stocked and available.

I didn't use the pool or eat breakfast so I have no opinion. The room was clean and adequate. I liked that my second floor balcony did not face the pool (by choice), so I had some privacy. My only negative was difficulty with the TV. There were constant pop ups that I couldn't figure how to stop. I found it annoying.

Pool is not as big as depicted in the photos. The photos online give a different impression of the property. You must request second level pool side for a better stay. Breakfast was very good and convenient. The hot tub was scalding hot! Also, we had a disgusting palmetto roach in the room and the front desk manager moved our room the next day but did not provide any monetary compensation for the distress and lack of sleep. Didn’t care for the reassurance that “the giant roach was harmless and would not be a risk to crawl into my luggage.” The hotel is ok at best but we stayed due to convenient location 25 minutes to beach.

What a nice surprise. It's on a highway and very unassuming from the front but I was very pleased! My first time staying here so I didn't know what to expect. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. Pool & hot tub area were pretty and I didn't hear the highway traffic at all. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Great customer service at both check-in and check-out. The room was spacious and comfortable. Next time, I’ll be sure to request queen beds instead of doubles—especially when sharing with a 12-year-old (lol). We really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel also features a heated pool and an adults-only jacuzzi, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is conveniently located near plenty of stores and restaurants.

The room had been updated, it was larger than we expected, so that was a nice surprise. It was very clean, the staff was great at meeting our needs, cleaning the room. Our only disappointment was our room was 10’ from the pool, which became noisy. Also we were given an adjoining room, which we did not request and their dog and several around us were barking quite frequently…our only complaint is the acoustics were a little thin…

The bed wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great - I like more of a softer top mattress - but over all, it wasn’t really *bad*. The pillows were interesting. They seemed to be feather, or feather-like, but they were also kind of lumpy, so it was an odd mixture of sensations. I ended up not using one, but my husband liked both the bed and the pillows just fine. I found the size of the room satisfactory, and the air conditioner worked well. The bathroom vanity was small and the bath soap they give you will last two people only two days - and the quality of that stuff leaves something to be desired. Finally, the breakfasts were pretty average. Nothing really stood out. Just a suggestion - if you decide to get a biscuit, cut it in half and pop it in the toaster, it makes a difference! This was my first time at La Quinta and I hopefully it’ll be my last. I’d be willing to stay here again, but I won’t say I’ll be excited about it. The people were nice but everything else was at or sub par.

The pictures were misleading. The room and hotel were outdated. The beds were so uncomfortable and the TVs were 15 years old. For the money we spent to stay was more than any hotel in the area and was not worth what they were charging. Much nicer hotels around for cheaper price.

Excellent housekeeping. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast with sufficient variety (we stayed seven days). The property is undergoing renovation, but that did not impact the guests' comfort. We used the laundry and it worked well. The center courtyard is a relaxing spot. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great for seeing a variety of sites in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area. Lenny's next door is a good place for lunch.

The room was a standard hotel room. It was advertised as a handicapped accessible room but it was not accessible at all.

This hotel was in a convenient location right off the highway and close to regular shopping areas. There were some areas that were under construction but everything else was fine. The hot tub was massive compared to the little square ones you normally find at hotels. Breakfast had a good variety. Most of the staff was friendly but some had a snarky tone when you called to ask a question.

Hotel needs a little upkeep but everything was what I expected for the price

Room was very clean. Ms. Linda is as sweet as a peach. There is a pool, a jacuzzi and im pretty sure every room has a balcony or patio.

Expedia have the wrong credit card to the hotel, so my cat and I had to stand at the check out counter for half an hour. There should have been some kind of compensation thrown my way- waive my pet fee or a late checkout.

The room and services were good, but the cleanliness can be improved. The breakfast had extensive and healthy choices and good service.

The staff here was great, very friendly, super attentive and just seemed to enjoy what they do. Breakfast was a great value that was included with your stay and everything was fresh and delicious. We loved the grounds and having a courtyard view.

Wasn’t sure what to expect driving up, but our experience was great! Hotel is currently under renovation. We had a newly renovated room on the second floor with a view of the pool and courtyard. Room was very clean, beds were comfy. Breakfast was the usual included at hotels which was ok, but it’s a short walk to Lenny’s for great breakfast and lunch options. Great stay!

Breakfast was wonderful and had different meat variety everyday. Very clean breakfast area with tons of options. Hot tub was fantastic but could have used a few more jets. There was always clean towels to use by the pool and hot tub. We need some laundry while there, the laundry room was well kept and well lit.

In 3 days, I don’t get new towels and bed sheets.

Very large hot tub, a wonderful large breakfast with ample seating. Comfortable bed. Kind lobby staff. Going through some construction currently, but definitely some outdated features. Water pressure in the shower (room 146) could be better.

Lovely place, wish I had found it Years ago.

We stay at this La Quinta every time we go to a concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall or Bay Sound, so that is about 3 stays per year sinc 2021. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We just left a concert, and will be back in another week for another show.

Nice room with a balcony. Plenty of amenities including a nicely landscaped courtyard, pool, hot tub, gazebo, and lounge areas. It's an older property, but has been updated and is well maintained. The room was clean, and had plenty of space with a balcony. Great value for the cost.

The hotel was disappointing overall. The staff were not friendly, the building felt outdated, and there’s no elevator, which made things inconvenient. The only positive was the housekeeping team — they did a good job keeping the room clean.

I stayed here on my own so I could spend time with my dad at St Mark Village about a 10 minute drive away. Great location, very clean, excellent amenities like microwave and fridge in the room and a lovely little patio to sit out on in the evenings. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. Definitely going to book here every time I travel from London to visit my dad.

I loved the balcony and the courtyard was a lovely view. My only complaint is I stayed in room #217 and the A/C was so crazy loud with a high pitched noise, it made it very hard to sleep.

Manager was amazing and tried to find a room that did not bother my allergies. It is an extremely clean older building. Not sure if there was mold due to hurricanes or tropical storms/flooding or something else but I had trouble breathing and was sick the whole time. I do have bad allergies. Most people would have no problem at all here.

Adequate stay for the price and age of hotel. Rooms have small outdoor sitting areas, a nice surprise, for families by the pool. I was here for work, found it comfortable with no issues. Rating is based on room related affordability, not luxury. No major issues, comfortable staying alone.

Location to River Walk is ok. A long walk in the winter but summer would be tough. There is a new La Quinta 4 blocks away which would be a better option at the same price.

The hotel was convenient for the destinations that I had to get to the staff were very nice, but besides that I had to deal with a clogged bath tub for 4 days my stay was for 6 days

The hotel was neat and clean . It was quiet . The staff seemed committed to their work especially the gardener. I had one negative interaction with the evening front desk clerk. I was in the room with the vending machine’s looking for a plastic knife and fork so I could eat my dinner. She must have heard me looking in the cabinets. She came and said sharply that I was not to go into the cabinets . I apologized and left. It certainly would have been more appropriate for her to come in and say. “ Can I help you with something ? “ instead of scolding me . I think she needs additional training on how to speak to the guests.

Been there a few times now. The reason it got 4 ⭐ instead of 5 from me is because the room I was in 222 air conditioner wasn't really cold that I actually put at 66 - I typically have my apartment set at 78 with a fan in my bedroom and my living room to give you an idea of how cold I typically like it.

I just add that they need another mirror in the bedroom there is not and at the bathroom more light or a zoom mirror. The rest was amazing!!!!

The hotel location was perfect for the things we needed to get to. It was Central to our activities. The staff was nice. I had no issues, everything was fine.

Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights & it was amazing! The staff, especially Linda, were the nicest people & SO helpful. They always greeted you with a smile & always went above & beyond. We arrived early in Tampa & despite the hotel not having luggage storage, they kindly offered to hold our luggage for us in the back until our check in time. The room was spotless, plenty of towels, & Dove brand toiletries provided. My only advice is definitely bring your own toiletries as well, as only 1 shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, & makeup towelette was provided. The beds/pillows were comfortable & clean. There was one tv & lots of options for kids (nick, disney, toons, nick&disneyjr) & lots of options for adults as well! (we mainly watched the kids channels lol). The hotel room also had a mini fridge & microwave! We thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfast, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage patties, fresh fruits (apples, bananas), Yoplait brand yogurt cups, pastries, bagels, & many types of bread options! There were toasters, a microwave, & a waffle station to make your own! There was also cereal and unlimited drinks provided (apple, orange, cranberry juice, water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate). We loved the lobby with the vending machines, free lemon water, coffee, & seating areas. As for the pool, it was beautiful! Small pool and hot tub. Sadly only 2 of the pool jets were working but it was still hot and toasty! Pool had few bugs but that’s expected! Overall, AMAZING

I had high hopes for La Quinta Hotel in Clearwater, but I was disappointed. First they overcharged my card with the whole stay when I entered my information for the check in when I already paid in full the vacation package through Expedia. My room wasn't very clean, and no one came to clean during my six-day stay. The sheets didn't feel fresh and the pillows were very hard. On the plus side, the room had a good selection of TV channels, and the included breakfast was okay. Overall, just an average experience.

The hot water in the shower did not work so my husband and I had to take a cold shower. Other than that inconvenience, the location was very convenient for us.

I had some noise issues which were related to guest that did not have control over their children at 1115pm in the hall. Mgmt addressed the issue and assured me that this was not a hotel issue and that they cared for my experience. Parts of the hotel had recently been redone and the pool area was very nice. Typical continental breakfast.

The front desk staff was very polite. For my reservation of two rooms, they only gave me the key to one. After I asked about it, they provided the key to the second room, which was far from the first. The promotional photos, including the ones posted here, do not match the reality of the place. It’s very different. Old furniture, stained armchairs. The toilet paper roll hadn’t even been replaced. It’s a shame — the overall experience was quite bad

Pictures are deceiving. It’s not a nice as it looks in the picture and ir is right off the highway in a somewhat shady area. Great location to ballpark. Breakfast was good. Some fellow hotel occupants clearly live there.

The staff were super nice. The room was clean and quiet. The pool was nice. And the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The only finally uncomfortable part was the hallways were extremely muggy and hot but the rooms were cool in the air conditioners worked great.

The property looks different in pictures than real life

Staff was very nice . Asked if there was anything we need more and if there was anything just ask anytime just call . Hotel mangers number was in room if we had any problems to call . You could tell it was a older property but it was well managed and maintained. Staff and maintenance stayed on top of property. Everyone seemed to work hard together for the total out come of property. 5 star 🌟 would stay again. Thanks for making are vacation great

This hotel was perfect to come back to after exploring Clearwater. It is located on the highway so you do have to Uber/drive everywhere, but we rented a car right down the street at Hertz. The hotel had breakfast every morning and the pool was never too crowded. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed.
