Express inn and suites

The property was very worn and dirty. The only amenity was the pool, but the rest of the place was so gross that we really didn’t venture to explore much further than our room. The fridge looked like it had never been cleaned, hairs and stains inside of it to the point I didn’t even feel comfortable leaving my food in it. No weather strip on the door, just a huge open crack leading directly outside, so anything can crawl inside and every conversation and sound can be heard. Couch was dirty beyond belief, didn’t even want to sit on it. Consistently strong marijuana smell around the building that never went away throughout our whole stay. No napkins, coffee, silverware, ect. Don’t expect anything in your room except a dirty microwave and fridge. Bathroom from hell, literally imagine a gas station toilet, but add a shower and a sink. The whole experience just left me feeling dirty and I felt uncomfortable staying there but we had no other choice. For how much I paid, I was expecting a clean room at the BARE minimum. I would feel better sleeping in my car next time.

Turns out the room was a smoking room. Do to the smell I was not able to get much sleep my first night. I asked the front desk the next morning for a non-smoking room. It took about 30 minutes but they swapped me. When I went into the new room that evening as I was getting ready to go to bed there was a bug on the floor. I took a picture of it. During the night there was a constant beep and I also didn't sleep very well. All in all I don't think I will ever stay at a Express inn and suites ever again.

The place is trash. Full of roches and dirt.

Scary atmosphere upon pulling up...room had cobwebs, leaky bathroom or something smelly with dirty wet rag left behind, icky pool area, people walking all over smoking like crazy. Left immediately, especially with young girls in tow. . .Hoping to get a refund based on misrepresentation.

Room dirty, racks with oxidation, floors crack, walls cracked, unbelievable that a place like that still open, where are the inspectors from the city ,when we get there the toilet has piss the room cleaner forgot to flush it , the most disgusting hotel I’ve been.

That being said, and this isn’t the hotels fault, at 4am someone was walking around outside our window blasting music on their phone.. only last lasted about 5 minutes. Should have cost $50 for this experience.

This is truly what it is. What a complete joke of a hotel. I generally don't leave feedback, but I had no choice but to do so after such a horrible experience. Read the feedback before booking and you will see I'm not the only one to say this. I wish I would have beforehand.

It is a very dated hotel looks like probably from the very early Holiday Inn or Howard Johnson era before 19 became a highway. It’s inexpensive and that’s why you book here it’s clean dated. The management is very nice kind polite and respectful, which is what you get when you have owners operating hotels not the artificial smiles and memorized welcome greetings rattled off at a thousand words per second you get from a big chain or resort. My room was clean. The bathtub was clean. I was here during a cold spell, and unfortunately, the HVAC unit didn’t crank up enough heat to satisfy me but other word otherwise the hotel was worth the money it is what one would expect for this price. Not a family place, but if you are just using the motel to sleep and spend your day at the beach, this can work.

There was no functioning security chain bolt that I had to use the Only available chair in the room to prop against the door for added security. There was a SMELL OF STALE CIGARETTE SMOKE even though the motel attendant said that it was a non-smoking room; it was apparently formerly a smoking room. There are no hanging closets or hangers. The bathroom soap was very tiny. The worse part was that the noise coming from the adjacent highway was so noisy that I hardly had a good night sleep.

There is a 50.00 room key deposit… you have 10 min from getting the room to make any issues known. No bathtub or shower water. But the sink and toilet worked. The bed was probably comfortable in 1972 but now you could literally hear the rusty springs begging for a landfill. The pillows… 3 of them. Were flat. Folded in half it was still just short of wood. The tv remote is taped together. I stayed because it was close to where i needed to be. Next time i will embrace a longer commute. Desk clerk was nice. And the room fridge worked.

I am RVing in the area, the only reason of using the motel was to have access to the bathroom for a comfortable shower comparing to using the RV bathroom. The room has strong weed smell, I made request of room change, the new assigned room is a bit less weed smoking smell, but the hall way has strong weed smoking odor. I slept in my own RV, so I have no comment on the cleanness of the room. The outdoor staircase are slippery, I try to hold on to the hand rail, only to discover that the hand rail doesn't look clean at all. the weed smoking smell, rough staircase, dirty hand rail.

It was one Exit from my early destination the next morning. Needs work, proper upgrades, repairs. Also cleaning properly. (Hair was in tub) Musty odor and could tell someone smoked in or by open room door. (I am allergic)

I pay two times on paypal and with a credit card the attendance toldme there was a problem with my booking and charge me at the spot with another credit card. $86.00 I need answers please

This property should not even be allowed on booking.com I am seriously looking into who to contact to have this place looked at. I can’t believe a hotel is allowed to be advertised in the condition. The floors were dirty and sticky, stained sheets, broken AC unit the windows in the room you couldn’t even look out they were so dirty! My son and I were so scared we shared a bed barricaded the door and used nothing and set our alarm and got out of there at 6am when we checked in later than 11pm. A complete disaster and disappointment! Spend 147$ A total loss!

It was conveniently close to everything we needed. It looked a little sketchy but it wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed in. The front desk clerk was nice. Our bathroom wall behind the toilet was made out of a screen door. The remote only worked for 4 channels. The a/c wasn’t as cold as it should have been.

The desk clerk was pleasant in her disheveled office. This is apparently a welfare hotel in a rundown part of town. Many of the guests were residents. As soon as we entered the parking lot we came upon numerous youngsters riding bicycles and lots of loosers hanging out smoking their cigarettes. Our room was clean but dingy. The bath towels were not much bigger than a dish cloth. Did not feel safe or comfortable in this place. Room was overpriced..

Room was big, clean, safe, and staff was really nice. Front desk man was polite and welcoming. Comfy beds and room for my kids and I. Everything was good.

The smell in the room. A missing toilet paper holder. Some decent towels. Shower with hot water. A working door dead bolt. An elevator, ice machine, breakfast (although I probably wouldn't have partaken.) A warning that this establishment was relief housing for some families, hurricane relief? immigrant relief? FEMA? The building is old, falling apart, needing painting. Because of this everything looked dirty. Although my room was clean, it smelled. Never again Booking.com.

Convenient location. Room was very clean and the hot water was really appreciated. Unfortunately, there were people living permanently at the hotel. my wife and I weren’t aware of that before making reservations and our arrival.

Location was good, but not great for me. Good value. Talking outside at 3am. Not loud, but at 3 am normal talking volume outside is disruptinve inside.

Price to value was great. The bed was comfortable and cold AC Not much as it was a little dated and appeared to be a place that offered extended stay. Mostly Spanish construction workers but they were very nice and quiet.

The Internet was not working most of the time. I was on 2nd Floor and there is no elevator. It is very noisy since situated next to the freeway and children screaming constantly.

The building was disgusting. there was a woman literally drugged out of her mind sitting outside my door in a lawn chair. There was a stadium quality light over the pool that shined through room all night. We eventually gave up and went to Walmart and bought duck tape to seal the windows. ridiculous. the bathroom was missing a wall... cant even make this up. And the bath tub was cracked to the point where water seeped through it. I wish i could ask for a refund!!!

Customer service was great. Bed was not bad. But overall condition of the hotel was pretty bad. Shower was dirty and barely functional. Bathroom was very old and run down. Not a great location.

Scariest experience I've ever gone through. Two unsavory people motioned and made comments to my 11 year old granddaughter. I didn't even stay the whole night. Avoid at all costs.

The sink was clogged up would not drain at all the toilet would not flush you get shocked when you plug him anyting there were not covers on the electric Outlets there were drug dealing in the parking lot and pool. And also people walking around in thongs underwear and screaming cussing threatening to harm you in front of your children the police were there and said they are there every single night staff did nothing and it was just filthy inside

It appears that some reno's have been done however the rooms appear dated and the majority of the guest looks like they are long-term guests with minimal income. Didn't feel entirely safe.
