Barefoot Bay Resort & Marina

Interior of the rooms are freshly renovated with clean bathrooms. Had a mosquito problem in the tucked away corner rooms. Someone must have left the door open cleaning the room. Once I killed them off with mosquito killer no more appeared unless the door was open to long. Should probably place mosquito repellent traps and scents around the property.

Our favorite Clearwater Beach motel. Nicely renovated and superb staff: attentive to guest needs without being intrusive. Stone's throw from the beach and dining/entertainment. Can't wait return.

Great place to stay can walk to everything

The location was excellent. Right in the middle of everything. Near pier 60. Restaurants and bars. The room was great with all facilities available. Very clean and comfortable. The lady who checked us in also cleaned, sorted the pool and was really friendly. Pool was great. Not really big but enough to cool down in. Nothing

Staff was very friendly, when i went in to check in they were ready and had everything ready for a fast check in. The room was very clean, looked new, nice floors walls were clean with new freash paint, nice freash smell not musty or old smelling. Very good view from my room. The kitchen table was a bit cheap, this could be upgraded to a better quality table but it did the job. TV did not work and I could not get any channels but I was only there for the night and didn’t really need it so it wasn’t a problem just saying when I tried to watch it I couldn’t

The location was phenomenal, rooms were clean and hospitality was out of this world! Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone traveling to CWB. Thank you to Stacy for being such an amazing host!

Location, location, location! So convenient. Walking distance to everything. Pier 60, the beach, the marina and downtown shopping and restaurants Sometimes noisy being the road is out front. But that’s understandable.

Location was absolutely fantastic! Walking distance to literally everything. Beach was less than 3 minutes walk. Owner is on premises all day and she was so delightful and helpful. Will definitely being staying here again!! So much better than them big end hotels who want massive amounts of money!

Our stay was Great. Very close to a lot of attractions (beach, restaurants, bars & more). I was only there for 3 days but once I parked my car we didn’t get in it again until we checked out. The hotel owners, are actually working, going around outside cleaning, taking care of the pool. They were so nice. I highly recommend this place and I’m sure to book a stay here when I return.

Fantastic hotel and location !

This place was absolutely beautiful. Everything was very clean, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is perfect, quiet and peaceful, yet still conveniently close to everything you need. I would recommend this place a million times over, and I definitely plan to come back and stay here again.

Parking was a hit, free and easy. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms were smelling fresh, kept cool and properly cleaned. The pool area was kept clean and tidy too. Great area to also just sun bathe.

Parking was safe but limited. The staff was nice. After hours check in was easy. The bed was simple dont except to feel like you are sleeping in the clouds.The rooms are clean. The benefit of this place is Location, Safety and affordability. If there is anything I would have liked differently is to add curtains because you can see through the blinds not providing the much needed privacy as our room is infront of the pool gate where everyone can see in the room.

I would give 10 stars if I could! My husband suprised me for a one night staycation for my birthday (we are locals). I have passed this motel hundreds of times and have never stayed. This was my first time and I will tell you, I would choose this place time and time again over the big resorts! Stacy (the owner) was so welcoming and made us feel at home. She truly loves what she does and it shows. She interacts with her guests and is just a delight. The rooms were brand new and very clean. The pool area was so chill and we met so many cool people from all over. Perfect location as well. Right near the pier and everything is in walking distance. Two story walgreens right next door as well as a liquor store. We will definitely be back again and invite our family too! Thank you to Stacy and her husband and son for making our stay so enjoyable!!

Did not utilize the pool while we were there we were there for a concert. But enjoyed the time that we spent at the hotel and enjoyed the company of the office staff.

Location was perfect. We loved walking everywhere around the Pier 60 area. The jolly trolley stop is right in front when we needed to go further. The shower was able to keep up with 4 showers in a row…all hot showers. We will stay again. Also the Grouper ride from PIE airport was so easy and only $20 for our family.

Parking was great as we could park right outside our first floor room. Amazing quiet property among the Spring Break craziness. The entire property was very well kept , and the desk hostess was so friendly and helpful.

Stayed here last minute after flight cancellation. Had a great stay. Located right in the heart of Clearwater beach. Very clean, nice pool area and dock area overlooking marina and bay. Staff was awesome. Glad we stayed here!

Amazing place in the heart of Clearwater Beach.

Staff were friendly, room was clean and recently refreshed. Bathroom was a bit small and the room could have used a full length mirror with an outlet nearby.

We stayed there from March 9 through the 12th and could not be happier! This property was extremely clean and convenient to everything! The owner is extremely friendly and more than accommodating. If you’re looking for a Clearwater beach getaway, this would be the place to stay!

Location is perfect, the rooms were very clean and the owner was a wonderful person! Our bathroom was a little small but everything else made up for that. Our stay at Barefoot Bay was an exceptional one and provided a genuine beach feel! The property is very clean and well kept. Stacey, the owner, is superb and welcoming, and the location on the water with the marina across the street, and the pier and beach just a short walk away is ideal. We truly enjoyed our time here and look forward to staying here again when we visit Clearwater Beach.

Close to Pier 60 and shops

The owner of BareFoot Bay, treats her quests like family. She is the sweetest person I have ever met running a Motel. You can't beat the price either. I have been coming there for the past 12 years and plan to go back again.

This was my second time staying here and it was great again. staff was nice and its in a great spot.

It’s a tiny older motel. But if you’re looking for a place to lay your head at night, surrounded by the best amenities, any full-scale resort has to offer. This is the place. It’s a small pool, and there were never more than six people in it whenever we were here. Food and shopping are within 400 feet, including boat rentals, JetSki rentals, fishing off the pier, an entire beach, an ice cream shop, ten world-class bars, and some world-class blowup romper room Disneyland for the kids. If you forget something, there’s a two-story Walgreens 100 feet from the motel with everything you could possibly need. We met the owner/Parking enforcement and she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Everything was good

They claim to be a marina and they have no access to marina. I ask the same day I booked to cancel my reservation Because they don’t have the marina. But they are all about the money and didn’t want to cancel, I was forced to stay there with my truck & vessel and they didn’t have parking for me & my trailer. They Send me to parking & pay $10 hr four the time of my stay. Completely a bad experience

Great place! Clean, friendly, convenient

We enjoyed our stay. The very best feature of the hotel is location. It’s only a short walk of less than 5 mins to the beach and to the shopping and restaurants on Mandalay. It’s hard to find parking in the area so having a free parking spot at the hotel and being able to walk to the beach easily is handy. Also there odd a 24 hr Walgreens next door and that odd handy as well for any Owens forget at home. They have a very large selection of beach related items too such as sunscreen, beach chairs and umbrellas and floaties, flip flops and toys to make playing in the sand fun. Their odds just 1 person working ( that I could see) at the hotel from 8-6. He was very nice and helpful. Very accommodating and able to answer questions about the surrounding areas. The hotel itself can be described as quaint/cute with a beach house bungalow feel. Rooms are simple and not too large but ours did include a full size fridge, micro and kitchenette. Bathroom OS pretty small but was very clean. The room is clean as well but nothing fancy. We enjoyed hanging out on the pool deck//patio area and pool towels are provided. The weather was a bit cool for swimming but we did get in the pool once though chilly. My 18yp daughter loves this “it’s so cute” hotel. Again, nothing fancy, but gray location, great staff and free parking which is difficult to find in the area. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Considering the prices in Clearwater Beach, this is an incredible value!!!!! For the price of a four minute walk, you’re saving hundreds of dollars over hotels that are on the beach.

Property is beautiful, it is well kept, our room was very clean. We loved the property's location on the water and close walking proximity to everything from restaurants/bars, stores, Pier 60 and the beach. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Bed sheets were old and fuzzy, rough on the skin, curtains were short and insufficient to cover the window. I was uncomfortable in a room where someone could peak in and light was coming through at night. No working outlets. Finally had to move furniture to get behind and use one of the lamp outlet. The carpet was old. Cleaniless was okay. The concierge was helpful. Location is good but there are other hotels in the surrounding areas. I would not be staying here again. Rates were too high for what the place offered.

Staff was very friendly and helpful to us while we were there! Nice little quiet place with parking and extremely walkable to anywhere! Coffee and pot, toaster, microwave and fridge along with a set of dishes was convenient. Pool was warm and clean. Nice dock to sit on and fish from if you wanted. We loved this small place! Great bargain for the price and location!

We love the location and have stayed here a few times. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the pier and several great restaurants. The 2 bedroom with full kitchen is perfect size for our family of 5.

We had a wedding on a yacht in the marina. Barefoot Bay is right across the street. It was cute, clean, comfortable and Stacey was a joy. Id stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great little stay. Just the one night for me & my family, would have been nice to stay a bit longer. Room was comfortable, parking was convenient and the hotel was in a nice location. Also good to meet Stacey (one of the owners) all the way from Yorkshire (UK). And after 20 years of being in the US, she hasn't lost her accent. If we ever come back we'd love to stay with you again. You could sit on the small dock and enjoy the water it is across from a Pier 60 so very convenient it is an older property but overall kept in good condition would very much recommend

I am an average sized person, and had to turn sideways to be able to squeeze into the shower. The length of my hips fit perfectly between the sink and the wall, see picture.

This place is a perfect little bungalow for a couples retreat. The small pool is great to relax by and everything is witching walking distance so you don’t need a vehicle. I would just say expect the rooms to be on the smaller side but that is just fine for a two person trip. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!!

We wanted a local “staycation” to end the summer. This place was cozy and convenient. Clean and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Close to all the action on Mandalay and Pier 60. My son counted 600 steps from hotel to fun.

Found a great place through Expedia that was dated but very pleasant to stay at. Greg at Barefoot Bay was very nice and helpful. The room was really clean and pleasant to stay. The time away from the beach we spent at the pool (hidden gem). Although the property is dated, it is clean, nicely decorated, and worth the price to enjoy its comfort.

Easy access to Clearwater, great parking and access

What a great stay, was able to check in early and do everything we wanted to do within walking range. The owners were so Accommodating, just what I needed traveling with my special needs son. The room, very cute, exactly like the pictures, and the view, like a postcard, really! We will absolutley be back.

Walking into our room was like entering a tropical themed apartment, not a typical hotel room. I loved the colors, style, and attention to comfortable bedding. The sofa bed was a happy surprise, even though my 14 yo daughter was ready to sleep on the comfy couch. We never heard the traffic from Rt 60. Everything is within walking distance, from the Clearwater Aquarium and Publix to the 24-hr Walgreens next door, shop on the avenue and the Marina Cantina shopping/restaurant complex across the street. Once we parked at check-in, our car didn't move until after we checked out. Added Bonus, within 30 minutes of checking in - my daughter spotted a dolphin in the waterway 50 yds past the hotel. I will stay here my next trip to Clearwater - the only change I'll make, I'm bringing our bicycles and paddleboards. Much thanks to the owner of this hotel gem!! Jenn Z.

It is a motel. You can not beat the location- closed to everything on Clearwater Beach, just off the bridge and across from the beach. Very helpful and friendly personnel. Rooms need some updates…bed covers- clean but old and rugged , the couch seen better days, cracked ceiling in the bathroom etc. A big plus was the back deck facing the marina.-look for the dolphins.

I stayed here for just two days at the tail end of a week long vacation. For all the traffic rolling down the causeway (frequent ambulances) I found my particular room tucked in the corner and facing the marina to be quite pleasant and comfy with the sound of mostly seagulls. If you're all about the Clearwater Beaches and watersports, this is a very convenient spot. Stay was friendly and accommodating. From time to time there was a rumble of noise from incoming guest late at night but nothing too bothersome. All in all, a great stay.

I will definitely book Barefoot Bay Resort & Marina for my next trip to Clearwater. It is a small resort that is very clean and comfy. It is within walking distance to the beach. The trolley stops right outside the property. We were welcomed warmly and even helped to the second floor with our luggage. I was leery at first to select the place, but once I arrived I was very happy about our choice! I highly recommend!

Close to the beach without close to the beach prices

Room was small for the price. The TV was situated so really couldn't see it from the bed or the couch. I would suggest a swivel platform. IT was very clean with new paint. We had a window looking to street that was facing a streetlight. They had a double shade that would have been nice to know about the night before. The pool "looked" dirty. We were never told what to do with the key. So, when we left, we called the overnight number, and no one answered. Thank goodness it wasn't a big problem.

This was our second time staying at Barefoot Bay. It's a cute little hotel in a great location. It's centrally located on Clearwater Beach so you can walk to the beach, marina, the aquarium, and most of the shops and restaurants. We were even able to fish for a little while on the bay side of the resort. We stayed in the smallest room which was perfect for two people, although the shower stall is tiny. While we were there the weather was COLD and the room was chilly until we discovered the space heater in the closet. Our only complaint about this place is a lot of light comes in from the street while the blinds are closed, but considering that this place was about $80 less than the other hotels in the area it's a small price to pay.

The owners are fabulous. My wife and son absolutely loved this place. We stay here for a week and the location is amazing. Easy to walk to restaurants, the pier and shops. I have seen reviews of people complaining that it’s out dated, really?? You are just staying there to sleep. When you are in Clearwater why are you sitting in the hotel? Go to the beach or swim in the nice pool. We will definitely be back as this is a hidden gem.
