The room was clean, furniture, especially the sofa not comfortable at all. The cushion on the sofa kept sliding off as I was sitting on it. I had to keep getting up to push it back on. The air conditioning wasn’t cooling, but thankfully it was replaced. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The continental breakfast, only reminded me why I don’t book hotels that offer it. Never again. The best part of our stay was the location. Very convenient, and a beautiful view of the beach. Other than outdated furniture. It was a nice stay.

Only one car per room in the parking lot on the weekends and you will have to find a paid overnight lot for other cars with you. There is an extra charge for more than two people a room with two beds. So 2 couples would need to pay extra. The rooms are horribly maintained, dirty, and falling apart. The adjoining door in our room couldn’t lock as the door didn’t line up with the wall and it gave the neighbors access to our room. The window leading to the outside hall had no lock and the door appeared as if a crowbar had been used to pry it open at some point in multiple spots. There was blood all over the elevator floor. Not a great stay would not recommend and would not come back.

The location was perfect. Right across from the beach and around some great places but the hotel rooms were run down, I never had hot water for any shower at all and everything was very outdated but we made the best of it. The beds were decent and I loved the balcony. Best part even though I wish we were on a higher floor the view was ok but could have been better. For the price, it was ok in my mind.

Loved the view from the balcony and even though the room was clean my husband killed 2 big roaches/waterbugs and I couldn’t sleep expecting more to show up. Was gonna stay another day but cancelled and got a refund.

We called the phone number multiple times, no answer. Tenant at front desk was too busy on her phone to answer phone or door. The resort fee covered a broken and dilapidated poolside kitchen bar, bathrooms at pool were atrocious. We stayed for 7 days, our room was cleaned once. we repeatedly had to ask for new towels and sheets to perform ourselves. you are lucky to get 12 ice cubes out of the ice machine.

The hotel itself though, probably one of the dirtiest and outdated I’ve been in. Our first room had bugs and also a door that you could see light around three of the four sides. We were given another room, which didn’t have the bugs, but our experience was probably a bit colored by that point. However, there was rings of thick caulk around the shower, indicating some previous issues and a porch of the drop ceiling hanging down. Additionally, you couldn’t hardly open the bathroom door standing inside the room without having to be up against the sink. I’m a normal sized person, it was just a really tight fit. Everything was significantly dated. It doesn’t seem like any investment has been put into the establishment in decades. The elevators are extremely slow and I think there are only five floors, but you’re going to wait if you want to take them. Overall, I think I could get past dated if it felt clean. But it did not feel that either. Happy to leave.

I had a very disappointing and bad experience at Beachview Inn in Clearwater. The hotel is extremely old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The furniture and rooms are very outdated, and the bathroom did not even have proper AC ventilation. There were bugs flying around the room, on the bed, and throughout the entire room, which made the stay very uncomfortable and unsanitary. On top of that, the customer service was horrible. The staff were rude, unhappy, and very unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. The worst part was after checkout, when the hotel charged me $170 because someone supposedly complained about a dog barking. I have a service animal that stayed with me at all times. The hotel never contacted me, never showed me proof, and never gave me the opportunity to address the complaint before charging my card. I believe it is unfair and unacceptable to charge guests without evidence or communication. It also felt discriminatory because my dog is a service animal, not a pet. Just because the hotel does not allow pets does not mean they can treat guests with service animals unfairly. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend staying here.

Best location, Crabbys and Frenchys downstairs and a huge surf shop next door that had groceries, drinks and anything you could possibly need. Cabanas across the street on beach. Not much open beach due to all the chairs & cabannas. Hotel itself was just fine. Staff nice, we were able to get into our room early with no fee, they cleaned the pool area daily. Our room had a living room and kitchenette we didnt expect so that was cool. Not spotless but definitely not dirty. Elevator did go out on our second day so that was irritating but we were only on 2nd floor, which is where the pool was. The pool was nice, birds werent bad at all. Plenty of space in pool area and they played music (bar never opened:/). It was loud late at night and loud early in the morning, but what else can you expect being around so many businesses. It didnt bother me or my 2 yr old. Had a blast, will be back again. The reviews had me nervous so I was pleasantly surprised.

It's sad that the only way we can judge a hotel is by the pictures that are posted. When we pulled up to this property, the parking lot, the stairwells, the elevator, and all around the outside of the building was pretty rundown and definitely not very clean. Thank goodness the inside of the room was clean, but the bed felt like a piece of soft foam, not a mattress. Both of us sunk in and it was very uncomfortable. The safe in the room was broken. No full length mirrors anywhere We did get an ocean view as promised, and the small balcony was nice for watching the sunset. We weren't expecting Hyatt or Hilton quality, but this was made to look nicer than it really is. Would not go back.

Beach view was very nice, everything was very clean and the upkeep of the property was exceptional. However there were several concerning issues. Entering our room on arrival the main door was damaged and prevented entry, someone came to the room and repaired it. Additionally the balcony would not lock preventing entry. Room safe wasn't useable and locked up, even maintenance wasn't able to open it. I mentioned at time of booking that this was imperative in order to secure travel documents, money, car keys and computer. Unusable for the entire stay and necessitated carrying large amounts of cash. Also asked at booking about the outside pool bar and was told it would be in service by the time we arrived; it wasn't.

This is a well worn hotel but since it is across the street from the beach, gave it an extra star. Friendly lady at the front desk. Figured their free parking would be full but not a problem. Disappointed that refrigerator, safe and tv did not work. They did come fix tv. Elevator was out of order and being handicapped it was not the easiest to climb 5 flights of stairs to our room. Handrailings up the flights of stairs were very disgusting (sticky) and gave the impression they had not been wiped down in forever.

This is about as basic as it gets. Although the bed and inside of the room were clean, the outside, including railings, door handles, elevator were old and dirty. The bed was a big piece of foam that we both were sinking into. There were two little safes in the room, both broken. And we weren't expecting a gourmet breakfast, but it was the most minimal fast food type packaged goods, no cooked eggs or anything. Wouldn't stay there again thank goodness we did get a room facing the ocean. Otherwise it would've been very disappointing.

We arrived late at night due to flight. The room had a musty smoked in odor. I notified the night manager that said they had no other rooms available. I asked to cancel the remaining days. We had noticed bugs (love bugs) in the room. the sliding door to the balcony would not lock. the front door lock plate was loose at the bottom and was not attached making locking the door difficult. The bathroom had mold / mildew in areas. After flushing the toilet found it would not flush again. the chain on the flapper had worn through the lever. Black mold around top of the toilet tank when opened to temporarily repair it. I spoke to the day manager in the morning showed her the pictures and explained the reasons we could not stay. She was nice and understood the situation. We felt the like we got a bad deal due to the condition of the resort.

Stay-4/23-4/26. I traveled with my family myself and my two children 16 & 10. After reading the reviews from other sites. I’ll admit I was nervous about our stay. We got there early closer to noon and like anywhere. I couldn’t check in early (no big deal) but the kind woman at the desk told me that she was going to give us our parking pass so we could go explore the beach, shops and restaurants close by and would call when our room was ready. It was ready around 2:45/3pm. The room we stayed in (209) was large had a beautiful view of the beach. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. My only dislike with the room was how close the first bed was to the door making it a little difficult to bring in luggage or exit with it. Aside from that the room did its purpose. We used it to shower, change and sleep. Breakfast was simple and easy for grab and gos, bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal and yogurts. The swimming pool too cold for me but my 10yr old enjoyed it. When you’re swimming in the seagulls don’t really bother with you too much. You’re right on the beach. They cleaned the pool area daily so you didn’t have to deal with the droppings of the noisy birds. Overall the hotel was nice to come back to and just relax in the evening. I’ll be returning

Staff was amazing and the views from our room were incredible! Upon arrival our floor had a lot of hair and some trash, but the beds were clean and our shower was clean. The patio had trash on it as well. I rated it a 3/5 in cleanliness, because while not terrible it was quite disappointing. Besides that our experience was amazing! The staff is super friendly and always available, and its a budget friendly hotel in a great area. When you walk outside Frenchys, Crabbys, Sandcastle arcade bar, and Surf Style/Island Market are right beside you, and the view of the sunset from either your room or the pool deck is to die for. Would definitely stay here again.

As soon as I walked into the main lobby I was already scanning the area and the ceiling tiles were stained up it looked very dated compared to everything around. Then when we entered the room it smelled musty, the bathroom ceiling was stained and the tiles were lifted from position, the shower rod was barely on, and the ceiling fixtures were rusty. Plastic chair seating outside which is sitting in the hot sun. A recipe for disaster if you chance sitting on one. I was certainly catfishes on the photos of the deluxe king with balcony. It was not at all what was expected. If you’re looking for a place to lay your head and not spend time in the room, like at all. Then this is the spot. Otherwise save your money.

Hotel is a little dated but has a great view of the beach. If you choose an ocean view room. Lots of parking. Room is big too, has a kitchen so you don’t need to eat restaurant food every meal. Hand to Surf Style shop that has everything you need. Everything all the fancy hotels have at a bargain rate. What’s not to like

My biggest issue was housekeeping. Not the quality. The house keeper was great. You have to wait until the next day. 24 hours. It’s so ridiculous. I asked for room service 1st thing in the morning and had to wait until after 3 pm the fallowing day. I would suggest you advertise that on Expedia also remove the pool bar from Expedia. I would have also appreciated a day pass for another property’s pool when you have to close your pool. I understand your pool is older and has problems but your visitors should not have to suffer. The pool is part of what we pay for.

Property has some deferred maintenance. Some outlets in room were not working, outlets by pool exposed. It’s a bit outdated. The breakfast was a one and done for us- slim pickings. The free parking was nice and they held a spot for us since we got in late. The check-in was slow but very friendly. Our room was right off the pool which was a perk since we had kids. It’s nice that you can still see the beach from the pool. Our biggest disappointment was when we were asked to leave the pool deck at 7:30 before dusk and the sun set. We had hoped to eat our dinner with a view, and since it wasn’t dusk, we thought we could. We did the first night without issue, but the second night, staff was less friendly and accommodating. Kind of a waste to be on pool level and not able to eat at the table just off our room. Convenient location to food, stores and beach. Definitely budget style stay, good for kids. I wish the pool bar was open, that would have been a perk!

Rooms are outdated, almost a bit dirty feeling. The staff is ok. There is one lady I wish I asked for her name. She is African-american and works the front desk as well as does the laundry and sets up breakfast - she was GREAT. You can see she is over worked but still had a smile on her face and very helpful. The other younger caucasian girl was the opposite and seemed to be bothered every time I asked her anything.

The price was fair for the accommodations. It was relatively clean and the staff was very accommodating. On occasion the front desk is empty due to the staff working on other things in the hotel, not a deal breaker, just minor inconvenience. Our beds were not very comfortable, the pull out mattress didn’t have sheets and had a large yellow stain.

Very outdated as many reviewers said. Grounds were not picked up with trash and cans/bottles in areas. Pool was not working one day and freezing water the next. Last night we could not sit on our balcony as the guy next to us was smoking weed. Smoking cigarettes is one thing but weed is not ok with kids around. If we were leaving in the morning I would have asked to move. It is budget friendly and in the heart of everything.

The view of the ocean was nice, and so was the balcony. Our biggest complaint was the fact that our room had a safe that we couldn’t even use. We went down to the lobby and the staff told us that they now use black safes they were purchasing off Amazon, and no longer using the white one that was in our room. When we asked about getting a black one they said they didn’t have enough. Then we noticed that we could push our door right open, and always had to double check that the door actually locked. Also, thankfully we were on the second floor because the elevator was finicky.

This hotel was a bit rundown. The view was awesome and right in the heart of Clearwater Beach so the activities were awesome! The luggage carts were in rough shape and tires flat. Staff was great. We got 2 queen size beds 1 room I don’t know if there was a mix up or if we got scammed but we got 2 full sized bed instead of what we paid $1700 for 5 nights for. The hotel is older definitely needs some renovations and upgrades. The view I will say was absolutely beautiful and amazing. The elevator was working but was extremely slow at times. All and all not bad for our first ever stay there. not the best nor the worst give it a solid firm neutral. The room we got was extremely clean when we arrived no problems there at all.

Needs a complete renovation as property is very dated. Many loose tiles around the pool area, poolside bar was never open during spring break week, water is not heated, poolside bathrooms were damaged, and they don’t allow people to sit outside around the pool after dark. The breakfast was bare minimum; bagels, muffins and yogurt at most. Not one staff member out doing any type of landscaping or cleaning any of the common areas. The room had multiple loose/bouncy floor boards, bathroom was cleaned minimally but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Located across the road from a VERY loud bar with live music past midnight. Would not recommend to anyone with small children or any family. Definitely a cheap spring break college motel. Very disappointed. Never saw any staff besides at front desk during check in and check out. Fix the place up!!!! Has such potential!

This hotel is scheduled to be demolished and replaced with a 180 room embassy suites property. Kind of on life support, the location is great, the rooms have balconies and face the beach, everything is mostly dated, couches stained and visibly dirty, the bathroom had mold in the tile grout and the exhaust fan was screaming for mercy ( I cleaned 15 yrs of dirt from it, that helped) Very little equipment in 1980 kitchen. Two spoons 2 butter knives, 1 sharp knife, no forks, frying pan, 2dented pots and a toaster 2 rusted burners ,fridge, no freezer and micro. The free breakfast is hit or miss, you can make it work, very basic. The pool is visited daily by hundreds of gulls to drink and bathe, gross. Why not some fishing line like every other hotel? Cause it would cost money. But the view and location is perfect, best u can say about it. Sofa doesn’t face tiny tv , not that you’d want to sit on it. a bigger tv in bed area. Room safe ( “oh, the white ones don’t work”) guess what rooms non refundable. Stay for this great location, the staff tries, very nice people , who must suffer numerous issues with ownership running this place into the ground.

Traveler beware this hotel lacks in every way. First check-in is at 4 pm. Our room was not ready until 5:15 pm. First excuse was check-in was not to 4:30, next excuse was only had 1 cleaning staff working. Next was no phones in the room so front desk could not be called directly. Next this hotel sits right next door to an outdoor bar/cafe that has (loud) live music each evening from 6 ish til beyond midnight. Good luck without earplugs on getting a restful night sleep. We were on our 2nd day and no room staff in sight for towels. Finally found a person who reluctantly produced 2 towels but could not give any wash cloths. The hotel as a whole needs renovation. The only bright spot if you can call it that is the beach is right across the street so when you open the sagging 30 year old curtains you can see a beautiful sunset. I am writing this so no one else has to experience a bad, no sleep, no service, Facility.

Specifically, I encountered the following issues: Room Condition: The ceiling had visible stains, the shower faucet was improperly installed with gaps in the wall, and several shower tiles were cracked. Hygiene: The common areas were poorly maintained; notably, there was discarded gum stuck to the hallway carpets. Accessibility & Safety: As a person with a disability like me, the elevator situation was unacceptable. Due to extreme delays and a clear mechanical malfunction, I was forced to use the stairs, which put me at a significant risk of falling. Many other guests were visibly frustrated by this same issue. Staffing: The front desk was consistently understaffed with only one employee, making it impossible to address concerns or receive assistance in a timely manner. Given that the room was significantly smaller than advertised and the overall condition was aged and unsanitary, I feel the price paid does not reflect the reality of the experience. I look forward to hearing how you intend to rectify this situation.

The flooring was a faux wood vinyl that had giant spaces between the planks, and it was bubbled up so when you stepped on it you could feel, and see that. The price was very reasonable for the location and view. Parking was included and easily accessible. The room was in need of a good detailed deep clean but overall was surface clean. The room smelled clean and didn’t have any lingering smells. Our room had a kitchenette with 2 burner stove, microwave, mini fridge, toaster, a service for 4, and pots to cook with. The shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water! We requested room cleaning 1/2 way through our stay and they were prompt and thorough. The pool area is large with ample seating. The water was cold but that’s expected in February. A few negatives … Coco’s Bar across the street has live music nightly and it is LOUD! Morning crews are out and working with equipment to clean up the beaches EARLY. If you’re a breakfast fan, plan to eat out at a restaurant and not at this hotel. There was water damage to the flooring by the sliding glass door and other areas were in need of some updates (bathroom) and minor repair. There is only one elevator that moved very slowly so if you’re in a hurry you can use the stairs. We had a great vacation and would stay again!

The room was gross, very dingy unkept hotel. It did not fit the norm of hotel standards. The ladies were lovely about the hotel did not seem very professional overall. While we were there, they opened up the breakfast. That involved turning on a light and unlocking a door. Upon check-in, we went to our room after being in a very dark and questionable elevator. We got to the room and it did not look at all like the photos posted online. Definitely very very aged. The bathroom was full of hair and the doors weighed a ton. We almost locked herself in the bathroom. We didn’t really want to sit down because it was just dirty and old. The fridge in the little kitchen part looked like it had been stabbed multiple times. The utensils in the cupboard were completely dirty and full of hair. The countertop was dirty. We heard screaming outside and saw a bunch of teens, causing trouble. The room did not feel safe to us at all. We ended up not staying and checked out and were charged for a night stay. We tried to get our money back but we’re refused. We did tell the hotel. They really needed to update their pictures because they are not truthful at all and what the hotel actually looks like. I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere on the strip.

The location and price cannot be beat. Just steps away from Clearwater Beach. My room was clean and large but needed some maintenance. The free continental was not great, basically whole fruit, cereal, instant oatmeal, or bagels so don’t count on it to fill you up. Enjoy the printed signs that management has taped up in various places, one of which is a warning not to take the sparse breakfast items to your room. Honestly they would probably be better off getting rid of the breakfast so that they did not disappoint their guests with what was offered. I would stay here again because of the location and price.

One thing that really made this stay not the best was the internet. The connection was poor at best. Another was the coffee machine in the room, we appreciate the effort, but the modified K-cup design was also a lack luster attempt. What made up for the slight inconveniences was the view from the patio. Absolutely fantastic! The view looking out at the ocean was amazing! Even with the above mentioned inconveniences I would definitely stay here again.

The elevator was out of order, I was told it was going to be fixed Monday but by the end of our 5 day stay it wasn’t. From other reviews this has been an ongoing problem. The front desk gave me a well rehearsed line about how the contracted service company had delayed the repair again. Obviously they have to tell you this to get out of any trouble, but they promised this would be fixed it wasn’t so that is their problem. The stairs are steep and make going up them with luggage a real chore. The door to the room had a big gap underneath it so the critters can come in I guess. The room itself was ok, nice view and great location. If I would have known it was going to be like this I wouldn’t have stayed here.

Room has issues as its an older building. But spectacular view for the price. They require a resort fee at check in that was a suprise to me. Breakfast is minimal - grains and juice. Location is great with liquor store and shops all closeby. a bit noisey at night but tolerable. Would highly recommend for budget travelers but not those who expect daily housekeeping (as it has to be reserved 24 hours in advance) and new amenities.

Everything was in good condition- the location seems like it could use renovation to keep up with the surrounding hotels and resorts - I paid $235 dollars+taxes and fees to stay 1 night and I had to pay $20 extra to park my daughter’s car. Parking and looking for the lobby was when we realized that this property has a very small lobby and more of a motel feel than the resorts it’s surrounded by-there was a beach shop that had much more curb appeal than the property-that was disappointing- as was a garbage dump full of retired mattresses right in the walkway to get to the tiny lobby- there is cheap red plastic lettering that guides you to the small area where they serve continental BREAKFAST FROM 7-10am- which is a mix of UPF and coffee. The room was spacious w a microwave, stove, fridge and nice kitchen table (dining area) it was clean- and comfortable and our room was directly above the store which played music until around 10pm when they close- that was not bothersome- I liked that. But the door to the room sticks something awful and it took several times and 2 hands(a luxury when beaching) to open the door with the assigned key card. Some renovation would do this property very well. It’s an amazing location, right across from the beach and their prices are comparable to the updated resorts around it. Makes you feel like you wished you booked 1of those. Overall we had no issues and would return-just to one of the other spots if the Beachview Inn doesn’t renovate!

One major problem for folks who are expecting a restful vacation. This is not your place and it’s not the hotels fault. There is a bar restaurant called Cocoa directly behind the hotel. A coffee table would have been nice, and the couch was not very comfortable and had a stain on one end that looked like someone with a jeri curl had sat there. There was a very bright overhead light, but a lamp would have been better for evenings. Loved the laid back and down-to-Earth feel of the Beachview Inn. Exactly what we were looking for. Sandwiched in between mega hotels with no personality (other than an elitist vibe), the Beachview Inn was welcoming, had better beach views, beach access, and relaxing energy than the mega hotels. The staff were kind and friendly. The room itself was very clean and large especially considering the price point for the area! The hotel is older and shows its age, but I liked that aspect. The only negative is that it is surrounded by local open-air restaurants with bars that stay open late. Although great for access to food (Frenchy's is fantastic!), it was not so great on Saturday night with the noise level from people partying into the late night/early morning. Had I known, I would have brought a pair of ear plugs. The mattresses were also on the firm side. I would definitely stay there again! (and bring ear plugs to block out the local noise). If you are into designer labels, bragging to others, and "putting on airs" - this hotel is probably NOT going to make you happy. Of course, if you are that type of person, you probably are not even looking at this hotel to begin with! If you are like me and enjoy friendly people, good food, beautiful views, and cleanliness - this is the place!

This hotel is exactly as described. It’s no frills but clean and a GREAT location. Right across the street from the beach with some good restaurants near by. On the beach across the street is a coffee and ice cream shop with nice/clean bathrooms and water bottle filler. There is a beach shop under the hotel that has all the things you’ll need but a surf style is right next door. Arcade bar next door. Pool is smallish but clean and a nice place to watch the sunset. If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel at a 2 star price, that’s not what you’re getting here. Be realistic and appreciate the location and overall clean vibe. If you need an elevator, I would call prior because it seems to always be broken down( was during our stay) but we were notified prior to our arrival. It was clean, comfortable, no bugs and the room was large. There are several bars around the hotel with live music so it was kinda loud at nighttime. If you need complete quiet to sleep, don’t book here. I definitely think this hotel is more for a laid back traveler.

We paid for an ocean view but had a mostly a view of a palm tree and an ice cream shop on the 2nd floor. Views were much better in a unit on the 4th floor. The room was a bit run-down for example it had mold spots in the shower caulk, caulk around the vanity was missing, walls and trim were poorly painted, furniture looked like it was patched with leather stickers, our patio door didnt lock well, the front door stuck, and you could see light under the main door. Otherwise the rooms appeared pretty clean. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but decided to leave after just one due to the extreme concert noise level from the bar across the street until midnight followed by a very loud garbage truck at 4am. Nobody slept well. The staff seemed very friendly. Overall I would not choose this hotel again.

Every staff member I interacted with was lovely and pleasant. The location is absolutely perfect. The beach, shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The view is stunning. It may look humble from the outside against the backdrop of high end locations on the beach, but the Beachview has it where it counts, it's clean, peaceful and convenient, and you can't beat the rates. What a dump! For what I paid it should be a lot nicer. It was very inconvenient to get to the beach, the place hasn't been redone since the 80s! The elevator being out was totally painful as my room was on the forth floor. Continental breakfast??? That was a lousy excuse for breakfast. I won't return!

The Good: Location is unbeatable for the price. Room 412 (a one-king suite) had a bed that was amazing 👏. Slept like a rock. Perfect spot if you’re just looking to enjoy the beach, watch the sunsets, and not break the bank. The Not-So-Good (but not deal-breakers): The property is a little dated, no surprise given its age. The family area couch in my room really needs replacing—wasn’t great. The kitchenette could use some updating. But let’s be real—if you’re cooking on vacation at Clearwater Beach, you’re doing it wrong. The local food is amazing and prices aren’t bad either. Still, if you did plan to cook, you might be disappointed. Final Thoughts: For the area and the price, you really can’t beat it for a short stay. If they invested even $1,000 into each room, this would probably be one of the best places on the beach. It’s not a 5-star resort, and if that’s what you’re expecting, this isn’t for you. But if you’re after a solid price, prime location, and some of the best views of Clearwater Beach and its sunsets, this is your spot.

Elevator was broken. We had to carry all of our luggage 3 flights up and my husband has COPD. We were not told we had to go get our own clean linens and take out used towels 3 flights back down to exchange for clean towels housekeeping needed to be requested 24 hours in advance before they would come to clean rooms. The toilet quit working in our room and we had to wait all day for a new room to be assigned to us we had to pay a resort fee of $15/dayfor cold cereal and bagel breakfast and to park our car. The beach was beautiful hotel not so great.

Room was clean, rm 311 is a great ocean view and roomy balcony. It also has a view to the street on other side of hotel. Pool was clean, we were able to check in early and it was a quick and easy check in. The best thing was the access to beach front with a 2 min walk and just up from the pier and bunch of other places to walk to. Yes elevator was out and that did suck carrying the luggage but not enough to ruin my stay. The strip is loud which is no fault of the hotel so if you want quiet, the area in general wouldn't be for you. The hotel itself was great and we will be staying there for future vacations.

The hotel.itself was extremely outdated. We had to hold the tolet handle down for a minute to make it flush. Our biggest complaint is the fact that the elevator was out. And we are a middle aged older couple and i have major back problems and they had put us on the 5th floor. Not even trying to offer a new room closer to the ground. Overall it was of the worst hotels i have stayed and i stayed in alot!! I would NOT recommend any body to stay here. Especially NOT OF MY FAMILY MEMEBERS!! TERRIBLE JUST TERRIBLE!! Not to mention the continental breafast they have only stale begals, some ceral and milk and some juice!! Again it was just terrible. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Apparently there are talks of tearing it down, they need to quit talking and level that building

We are not posh people. This hotel did everything we needed. We used the small kitchen to save money. The room are right across the street from the beach with ocean views. The elevator door opening so so slow was the only nuisance as well as long wait times. Most of the time I used the stairs. A plus for us was the free continental breakfast. Property is run down. Our door to our room 212 misaligned and you had to slam it. By the sound of it everyone had to slam their doors. The A/C would get the room down to about 77 degrees. The elevator was out of order and no one was working on it. The pool was hot and cluttered with half inflated pool floats. To get to the room they serve breakfast you have to walk through a room that they store extra furniture stacked to the ceiling. Best part you can walk to everything and the beach was beautiful.

Hotel was DISGUSTING!! The photos on Hotels.com had to be pre-hurricanes, at least 4 yours old! They need to be updated immediately! Everyone we spoke to in the outdoor area was saying the same thing. The female desk clerk was rude, not only to us but to everyone on the phone that called while we were in the office as well. It was the same story every time. There was nothing she could do because the reservations had been made on the Hotels.com site. We moved to another hotel a few hours after checking in. Our toilet did not work at all! The couch was disgusting, I refused to let my husband put our bags on it. The couch in our friends room looked as if someone had seriously been murdered on it. The gentleman we spoke with when we returned our keys was very nice and she he totally understood.

Couch was filthy in both rooms. Front desk lady told us not enough staff to put new ones in rooms. I'm 68 with pacemaker and husband is 72. Apparently elevators have not worked for months and they indicated waiting on parts. Front desk was short with us and rude to every caller we witnessed. It only gets worse so I will spare you. At 10:30 pm I luckily found another hotel in Clearwater and had to pay another 875.00 to 2.5 nights. I totally feel deceived and should be refunded for my stay beings I did not stay and turned in my keys so some one else could have room God forbid. #pissedoff

Let's start with the good. Location was located right across from the beach. The internet was reliable. Hotel was within walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants. It looks like at least the pool area has been recently updated. Now the bad. While I know the area was hit hard with a hurricane, but more than enough of time has passed to not have the elevators working after 10 months. I believe the real estate the hotel is sitting on is more valuable than the hotel and they are just waiting on the right offer and is purposely not making repairs. There is a bar right across the street that played music into the wee hours... something I would be arrested for if I did it. The breakfast, once they run out, will never be restocked. (I watched a homeless person walk in the breakfast area and pretty much take half of the breakfast items so security is lacking.) Either it's a management or an owner issue, but so much stuff is just broke...ice machine, washing machine, you got a transformer being held together with metal straps that is close to collapsing on itself. Vents falling off of air conditions. Landscaping upkeep is marginal.(See photos) For about just $25.00 more a night, I could've stayed at a more reputable and comparable location, but lesson learned at trying to save a few bucks. Truly, I believe the hotel is going to be razed soon. There is a retail shop on the 1st floor that enhances the dilapidated look of the hotel. Would love a few bucks back from the hotel.

We had 3 people and only like two towels, so we had to go down and get more towels from the front desk daily and then my daughter was gonna sleep on the pullout couch and they didn’t have any extra blankets or pillows or anything so we had to go ask for blankets and a pillow. The noise was pretty bad. We were right by the pool so we heard people all night long plus my daughter said she heard gunshots one day so she barricade at the door plus there was a gap under the door of like a whole inch and we got there to lock didn’t work on the door so we had to go down and have them send the maintenance man two different times because we ended up having to start slamming it twice otherwise I wouldn’t latch.

The hotel was probably constructed in the 70's and has not had many improvements over the years. The hotel anno that their elevator (5 story building) was out of order. When pressed by another guest complaining, it was mentioned that it has been 4 months without a working elevator. They also charge a "resort fee" which was not well understood at the time of booking. I was ok with a resort fee, but there must be a resort? This hotel is far from luxury and well maintained. Nothing about my stay could possibly be worth this fee. They did boast a complimentary breakfast. I went down the first morning, and found that it involved a very small 4-foot long counter with a small refrigerator to offer tiny yogurt cups, milk, bagels, and some bruised apples. To say the least, it was not worth the effort to bother with getting anything (or the resort fee!) I had several issues with my room: No TV remote, no hot water (the entire stay), etc. The good news is that they sent a maintenance guy right away who is friendly and EXCELLENT in communicating to solve problems. His name is Orrondea and he is my favorite part of this trip (outside of the beautiful beach view!) I suggest management promote this man and make some improvements to the management structure!

Checked in late after booking on Expedia, arriving after 11pm. First red flag should have been another customer attempting to check out early, at the time of checking in. After less than a hour in the room bugs could be heard and bites were visible on skin. After closer inspection of the room it was filthy with actual webs and a bug nest. Hotel reception “could not” cancel and refund when attempting to leave, through multiple forms of communication since leaving only half the stay was issued back. Disappointed to say the least.
